Our group of 6 ate at this location on a Saturday night. We all enjoyed our meals. The service was good except that our server was pulled to the bar toward the end of our dinner. This led to longer waits for things we wanted including the check. There are lots of choices on the menu. Many wing selections and dipping sauces. There is a bar area and there is a sit down restaurant as well. Give it a try.

Went in for AYCE wings. 2 people. Got seated at 6:00 and put in the first order at 6:10. Food didn't arrive until 6:45. At that time put in another order of wings. 7:45 still no wings. Server and hostess came around in that time to ask how we were doing. Each time we told them "just waiting on our wings" in which they responded "they'll be out shortly" Couldn't find the server so I left the money and left. It wasn't the servers fault. The kitchen was just horribly staffed. People that came in after us were getting they're food faster! I doubt I'll be back soon.

Love love love the wings - variety and quality. Service can be hit and miss and when it's bad......Take out usually goes well

Great food, great staff, fun trivia nights. Wings are amazing and on special nights are extremely cheap. Plenty of sauces to choose from, ranging from mild to extremely spicy. If you like wings and a family friendly dining atmosphere, this is the place. Food other than wings is also quite good, but with the cheap specials, it's hard to say no.

You won't go hungry there but the overwhelming odor of cleanser at the bet makes it less than appetizing.

Eh. In for work with a colleague and we went here to watch the Cowboys beat the Lions. Waitress was sweet which was a plus, but our food was below par. Wanted appetizers and started with the blue and bacon chips - they were okay. Ordered a crab drip with soft pretzels and the pretzels came out over cooked and hard. I will say they immediately took them back and off of the bill, which was great, but I was looking forward to a soft pretzel :( The wings were good but super spicy (buffalo bay) if you like that you will love them! Ordered an arrooga margarita which came in a great big glass with a whole lot of ice - a few sips and it was done. Maybe I'm just tired from traveling, but I expected a little better all around.

The menu is great, they have just about everything you could want. The wings are great and the sauces are endless. The service is spotty. Sometimes decent, sometimes awful, never great.

We have frequented this establishment for years, (even back when it was Kokomo's). Honestly, it has just gone down hill. It is a very hit or miss restaurant. Three visits ago we actually got food poisoning, but I guess we are gluttons for punishment... Well actually we got a gift card for Christmas and needed to grab lunch this past time. In reference to the food poisoning, I actually made a point to email their corporate office and received a prompt apology. They said they wanted to send us something to make up for it, (what I assume was going to be a gift card,) however we never received anything. But my reason was not to get something, but to warn them so no one else would get sick. This most recent visit proved to me how lacking they are in the kitchen. First let me say our service is always good, and I have never had a complaint about that. The food runners are even great. However, the kitchen is a hot mess. The 2nd to last time we were there my Pittsburgh steak salad came out with no cheese and I just dealt with it (didn't want to torture the busy waitress for cheese). The last time however just solidified that the kitchen doesn't really care in the least bit what they out out. We ordered soft pretzels that literally came out raw. We had to send those back... We had no choice, they were inedible. The next was a side Caesar salad, and I ended up getting one that was so small, and here it was completely the incorrect size (which they did make right, but now we had sent back 2 out of 2 things we received.). We did get sandwiches which were fine, which is why I even give the place 2 stars. I would say, this place just isn't worth the time or money. Going there for beers and wings, you'd probably be safe, but other than that I'd definitely go anywhere else but here.

I ordered a carry out with Aroogas and I was extremely happy with my experience. When I called in my order, I was given friendly and helpful service. It seemed that the person on the other end of the phone was happy to take my order and she offered up suggestions. While picking up my order, I was welcomed and my order was ready! The best part was back at home, when eating the food. The wings were AMAZING and I had a wonderful salad as well. Everything was just the way I asked for it and it tasted great. I would definetly recommend Arooga's to anyone needing to order To-Go food. And I will be back for more.

No. I don't like this place. It's below average local chain food. Yuck. I had some soup and it was cold when it got to me. Not good. We had the blue chips as an appetizer and it was just ok. The service was ok, not bad but nothing special either. This kind of food is lower budget and low quality.

good but little over priced. Their sandwedges are almost 10 bucks but they are good. Cheeseteaks are good as well. Little skimpy on the fries. Good selection of tv's. good service and one of the best cheesteaks I had in a long time.

Went here this past Saturday after finding Buffalo Wild Wings and Eagle Hotel strangely closed. I keep saying I won't go here again, but I keep holding out hope. The wings flavors are better than anywhere around, but that is where the positives end. Upcharge for twice baked wings that came out and were not crispy. Upcharge for wings that are actually covered in sauce the way they should be. That is theme with this place, upcharge. Five dollars for a Sam Adams Boston Lager draft in a small glass? I thought the glass might be a souvenir at that price, but I was wrong. It shouldn't cost fifty bucks to have 20 wings and 2 or 3 beers. Next time I will keep looking for other places, I am done with this place.

Arooga's really does suck. If you want reasonably priced beer and TV's to watch, it's just OK for that. If you want friendly service or good food...stay away. It seems to be a popular spot in Central PA and never really understood that. The place is a crowded dump.

This place wasn't as bad as people are making it out to be. It has beer. Not a bad selection of beer at that either. The price of said beer also isn't too expensive. It has TVs galore that make it a great place to catch a game or whatever it is you're trying to view. I went for a few drinks and to watch some Phillies baseball. I was content with my experience. I also got an order of baseballs which were like little stromboli's. You don't know what flavor they will be, but they were tasty. All in all it wasn't a bad place.

Good atmosphere. Lots of variety on the menu. Definitely not high quality or fresh food. Probably a step above fast food actually! It's decent food , however overall. Awesome wings!!

  • Katherine E.

Recommend the hot wings with 20 different sauce options--especially the twice baked ones which are extra crispy. Overall a good sports bar with a diverse menu and good beer selection. Excellent service from friendly waitstaff. They make a point of asking if it's your first time so they can help with the menu/recommendations.

Ronnie K WTF?! The area has been over taken by Aroogas, Bourbon St., and Mulligans. How many more restuarants can you squeeze in a 25 mile radius that sells the SAME BAR FOOD under different names but the same owner?! WAKE UP PEOPLE THE FOOD IS HORRIBLE AND THE STAFF IS EVEN WORSE.

Had a coupon from the local Giant so thought we would check it out. Ambiance, Sports Bar, The room we were in was nothing but a row of Flatscreen TV along each wall with a TV monitor at each table. (But then, it is called a sports bar) The decor felt a little forced, the Blue, while probably a reference to Penn State, gives a cool feeling to the environment. Service was off, I think it was due to the waitress being new, She made a valiant effort to work through the menu and go thru the explanation of the restaurant ( mandatory since we had the "red napkin " given to new customers ) But with 29 Beers on Tap, some additional training was in order. On the plus side there was Hard Cider ( Wood Chuck ) on tap. She also didn't catch that the Kitchen forgot to put Fries on my Chili Burger and had to check the menu even to see that Fries were supposed to be on the burger. Food was pretty good, While the burger looked small on the bun, it tasted good and the chili was tasty, once I got the fries on the burger it made for a great combination also I enjoyed the Cole Slaw. Finally got to desert, had the Sundae pizza. Mmmmmmmmm. Very thin soft chocolate chip cookie, with Ice Cream, Mmmmmmmmmm. So over-all 4 stars for Food, 2 for ambience and service, Food is more important, so three stars.

Definitely the smallest of the Arooga's. However, even though it is smaller, there is always a shorter wait than the others. There a TV's every where you look, so it's a good place to check out a game. The atmosphere is better at the route 22 location, but this is still a great place to come and grab a meal or drink.

Nice place to go to for a lunch or dinner and watch a game. Service is good and friendly. Dont get the General Tso chicken wrap, its gross.

It's a chain restaurant and they have typical bar food so nothing spectacular. However, when I went for lunch last week for a moment I thought I was in a hair salon. I didn't know that I could get my hair braided/twisted in unoccupied sections of the seating area while I waited on my food! It wasn't busy so I guess the hostess/waitress thought it would be a great teambuilding activity to braid each others hair, and then proceeded to assist customers. Granted they aren't handling food in the kitchen but let's just say I saw them walk straight from the 'salon' to wait/assist customers. So I'm sure if I would have requested a refill they would have picked my cup with 'hair hands' and refilled my beverage in the kitchen. ...GOOD LUCK.

This place is a dump! Felt like a old college bar that smelled horrible. Service was a joke and food was even worse! Will never return and will never recommend! This place needs to be on bar rescue or it needs to be shut down!

I'm not rating this place based on food or service, but for what it really is: a sport's bar. Arooga's is a great place to go to enjoy a beer while watching your favorite team. If you expect any more than that, you might be disappointed. You can tell it's a typical place for "bar food" and sometimes it's more like "fast food." I've had a few sandwiches off the menu and they're okay, nothing great. I do really like the buffalo cheese dip appetizer!! Also, the boneless wings aren't bad; good sauce flavors. The prices are typical in my opinion. Service is okay, again, not great.

Service can be slow even when it is not busy. Over priced bar food and the taste does not support it.

I tend to frequent Aroogas each week. They have great wings and an awesome happy hour. The bartenders are always friendly! Over the last 2 months, the food has been a little disappointing. I usually get the caprese wrap each time I go. Sometimes its amazing and other times I could kick myself for not getting wings. The last 2 times I received plain grilled tenders with a wedge of tomato and 2 slices of cheese. no dressing, no basil. very bland. But thats okay, I still ate it and I'm still happy with Aroogas. If something isn't cooked properly, a replacement is always offered. Great atmosphere for watching games. Trivia on Tuesday is always a good time (love the new trivia guy too)

This Aroogas location is a MUST visit! If you are looking for great sports bar that has a fun atmosphere, terrific service, delicious food, and even better service, this is the place for you! Probably the best choice of wing sauces in Harrisburg and they will mix any combination you like! The bartenders and wait staff are really above average, and it's a clean, smoke free restaurant. There are tons of tv's as well as a giant projector screen in the main dining room. The completely revitalized menu is loaded with bar food favorites as well as specialty items like their GIANT Maryland Crab Soft Pretzel. You really can't go wrong with their regular beer pitcher prices and their happy hour is the best in Harrisburg by far! Half off everything! Check it out for guaranteed satisfaction!

. They completely "forgot" to make And deliver our businesses catering order for more than 60 people! We got a conformation email and followed up with a call the week prior. The day of came and they never showed. We called and got someone that said they "forgot"!?!? The owner did apologize and offer to cater an event free of charge. That didn't help they we had NO food for our year end meeting. Never again.

Great wings and bar food. Decent beer selection as well. Sports bar with multiple games at once. I've eaten at multiple Aroogas and I have never been disappointed. The wings are good and you get them over fries as Aroogas style. Many different wing sauces for any palate. Great to catch the game as well. Currently watching hockey, baseball, and basketball. If you can't find your sport on, it's probably not worth watching.

The only reason I gave them one start is because giving 0 wasn't an option! We had made lunch reservations for 24, on Saturday March 28th, after a competition. We arrived and to a fairly empty restaurant. They assigned one waitress to the whole table. Needless to say it TWO (2) hours to get our food, at which time several orders were incorrect and the food was cold. You would think that they would have sent out a manager to at least apologize for the wait of offer something while we waited, but no. Needless to say we will not be ever going back to this restaurant ever again.

The wing sauce was amazing. The service was less than stellar. If they offer to-go orders, that's probably your best bet!

I've lived in the area my whole life, so Aroogas is naturally a hot spot for my friends for meeting up. I really wish they'd pick somewhere else. Numerous times my food has been undercooked or served like warm, in addition their service is horrible. I was here this past summer during a thunderstorm and the power went out, okay, no big bc weather happens...we waited for 45 minutes in the dark watching the managers scurry about bc their computer system went down. We weren't told that food was no longer coming out of the kitchen, no one came to talk to us. Finally our server came by to refill out beers, when we asked what was up she said she didn't know the managers are working on it. (By the way, with the power off, the taps weren't being refridgerated...we were served piss warm, totally flat beer) Finally we decided to leave, but not before telling our waitress. Neither of us had cash, and with the credit card system down, they asked me to leave behind my credit card information so they could run my card later...I don't think so. Overpriced horrible food with horrible service, don't mention the clowns "managing the joint"...never coming here again....you couldn't pay me to come here.

The restaurant was slow but it was a weekday lunch time. The service was very good. Our waitress was attentive and made sure our drinks were refilled. The food was freshly prepared and tasted wonderful. The cookie pizza for dessert was awesome.

Stopped in for lunch at 12:15 today hoping for a nice bowl of hot soup on a cold day......no luck. Informed that they had not started the Clam Chowder yet!!!!! Oh well...

Aroogas has really gone down hill in a month. I see they've goten new menus which has added a few things, but everything we got there last visit was awful. First, we ordered two meals for there and a sandwich to go. They boxed up everything. So we just gave up and took everything home. The hotdogs were crazy tough, barely a tablespoon of chili on them; the coalcracker wings ordered were just barely coated with basic hot sauce. The onion rings weren't bad but right out of a bag from Sysco. And the cheesesteak was on a regular old bun, not the usual tasty homeade ones that they used to have, with half as much steak as before. Might give them one more try since we love that coalcracker sauce but is it worth the wasted money? Don't know anymore.
