Not the cheapest place to eat, but great food, staff, and atmosphere. Beer selection is much better than you would expect. Specials are always creative and a nice change to the routine. I prefer the pub area over the formal dining room.

I live a stones-throw away from this joint, so I decided to give it a go with some friends recently. I am not joking when I say we were the ONLY people in the dining room this Sunday evening. But, whatever, Hanover is a sleepy place. I had a potabella sammy with some sweet potato fries. Fiance had a burger, friends had various sandwiches as well. Everyone was really pleased with their meal, not wow-ed, but it was good food. Really fantastic beer selection, I would probably opt into the pub side next time (it is kinda awk being the only patrons in an entire restaurant). They also have some good happy hour deals and trivia, so probably the best bet to go pub v. dining room. Worth going to!

I went there last night for a light meal. I sat on the pub side at the beautiful copper bar. My stay was much longer than anticipated, but for all good reasons. The bartender was extremely helpful, and made time for every patron. She saw to my every need. She discussed the beer list with me and suggested something that would pair nicely with my meal. I felt right at home with the atmosphere and the staff. I ordered one of their weekly specials: BBQ Chicken Pineapple Pizza. It came loaded with meat, cheese, and sauce-- all on hand stretched crust and drizzled with a cilantro sour cream, which set off the flavors perfectly. It was huge, and totally worth the $11 I paid for it. Their beer prices are comparable with any other restaurant that sells craft bottles-- although the large drafts are your best bargain buy. Check out the Landing the next time you're in town.

Great service at the bar - salad and barbecue shrimp in bacon - yum. Hubby had the BCT - loved it. Crab cake on a croissant - onion rings nice and crispy. Will be back......

Food was overpriced, crab dishes were overly fishy in both smell and taste. Really left a bad taste in my mouth and not planning on returning.

They are not closed today (Tuesday). Good food, good service. Had fresh oysters on the half shell. Half price bottle wine. Can't beat that.

We have been going to this restaurant for 10+ years and have never had a bad meal. From their delicious French onion soup, over sized buffalo wings and lightly breaded friend shrimp dinner, no meal is a better one than The Landing. I highly recommend their crab cakes and their French dip. The dinner salad is tasty too! They even make their own ranch dressing!!!! To DIE for. I also love the two sides of dinning; one side is pub style and the other is more high end and classy. Same menu same pricing!

I preface this by saying that I've eaten here once before and thought the meal was well prepared and the service was very good. Unfortunately, this was not the case this evening. We were seated and handed menus, told that we could be given a beer menu and visited by the waiter/waitress shortly. After about 15 minutes of waiting and watching two other tables get seated and given drinks while we never received as much as water, we simply got up and walked out. Nobody said anything as we left despite walking past 2-3 employees on the way out the door. Oh well, there are other restaurants in the area, and thus we will no longer need to try here again.

Stopped by for lunch and sat in the homey bar area. We had sandwiches--I had a wonderful crab, bacon and tomato with provolone. My wife had a burger with gouda, portabello and bacon. Atmosphere was great...beer selection is huge and worth checking out. We had a great time and will be back!

Came on a Saturday night and pleasantly surprised by the experience. Cream of crab soup was a definite winner. I then had the portobello sandwich which was also a great choice. The ambience was quiet with candles and it was nice to have to deal with any noise. Will be back!

Just went the other night, everything was just great, generous portion of jumbo lump crab with the perfectly cooked filet on the Chesapeake tenderloin, and a perfectly medium burger just dripping juice with some pink. Add in a great beer and wine selection and you have a winner.

This was the most awful dining experience of my life. The drinks were terrible, the food was gross and the service was sad. We had to ask for water three times and silverware would have been nice once we got our food. I'm not sure how they charge what they do for what they serve. Not fine dining at all. They should just expand the pub and leave the fine dining to those who know how to do it.

I've been in Hanover on business for the past five months and had gotten stuck in a rut of the usual suspects. Every week it seemed like I was practically living at Panera or Subway... or both. Driving around to find something new, I stumbled across The Staub's Landing, and I'm thrilled that I did! The atmosphere on the "bar" side of the restaurant is great, and they already had one of my favorite seasonal beers (Sam Adams Apline Spring) on tap. I was really impressed by how extensive the menu was and had a hard time deciding what to get. I finally settled on the French Dip sandwich. It was one of the best I've ever had. The sandwich was huge and cheesy and definitely au jus. I had a great experience here and will definitely be back!

Ordered the cream of crab soup it had very little crab in it that was disappointing. For the main dish I ordered the stuffed sea scallops. When I received my meal the scallops were not stuffed they were small and had no taste other then being rubbery. The "crab imperial" they were supposed to be stuffed with came in the form of a crab cake and it wasn't the traditional crab imperial either. Whatever their take on it was not good and the crab itself had an off taste. The dish was also supposed to have jumbo tiger shrimp, not sure what kind of shrimp they were but they were small I wouldn't even say they qualified as medium. Plus they tasted fishy and I have had shrimp many many times and it has never had a fishy taste to it. The mashed potatoes that came with it was the only thing on the plate I found edible. The only redeeming quality of this place is the wait staff. They are very friendly. This being said there food is way over priced for what it is and I would rather eat from a dumpster then go back there again.

Exactly the same menu and atmosphere as what was here years ago. Not sure why they don't just make the whole place one big pub because the restaurant side is usually empty and less cozy and sorta out of date and the pub side is really inviting, cozy, friendly, modernized. The same locals who all know each other hang here. Literally. Every night. Wanna network with Hanoverians? Go here. Pretty basic menu, but prices jump around. Very high on seafood dinners, but the pub fare is much less. Not cheap but mid range.

I just moved to the area and was looking for a place just like this! Ate in the bar area: great ambiance, great service, food was on point and drinks were flowing. Definitely coming back. A++++

Not bad. I went to the sports bar for lunch one day. Got the French Dip. Decent size sandwich, I think I got a side as well. Seemed a little fancy for a sports bar though, and prices seemed a little fancy as well. But food was good. I'll go back.

In my most recent visit to Hanover, PA, I was informed that a new seafood restaurant had opened up. AND it also had a pub. Seafood + pub = Love. I ate here multiple times during my visit and I was NEVER disappointed. Their menu is FILLED with so many delicious food items, I couldn't even begin to ponder what I wanted to eat without feeling anxious about missing out on another really good meal. I first ordered the broiled sea scallops, because scallops are my favorite seafood. The prices are typical for seafood (~19 dollars), but their portions are not. There were at LEAST 20 medium-sized scallops on my plate, which was honestly quite ridiculous and definitely made my smile increase several centimeters. And the scallops were SO delicious. Cooked in butter, white wine, and lemon, they melted in my mouth and I couldn't have asked for a better preparation. Another outstanding dish is their Cream of Lump Crab soup. If you want to try anything at this restaurant, this is the dish. Most of the crab soups that I have eaten in the past have just had crab flavoring, or maybe a small chunk or two of crab meat. This soup is literally FILLED with HUGE chunks of DELICIOUS crab meat. And it is quite satisfying, if I do say so myself. I ended up ordering this soup 3 times in my stay in Hanover :) Not feeling intrigued by the food options I have listed above? They also offer clams, crabs, mussels, oysters, lobster (stuffed or normal), stuffed scallops, salmon and crab cakes. Oh yea, also several preparations of veal, steak, and chicken. And they have sandwiches and burgers. And they have homemade desserts. AND they have homemade salad dressing. Can you see why I had such a horrible time trying to decide what to eat?? In addition to their extremely long list of mouth-watering menu items, they also offer great service. I never had an empty glass of water and everyone (the hostesses, the waiters, the owners) was very pleasant and helpful throughout my visits. It's really nice when you can enjoy a good meal not just for the food, but for the incredible dining experience. And if that isn't enough, their pub is quite the happening place. Every night I came in, it was packed, with barely enough room to walk. And I can see why, with normal beer prices ~2.25 for a pint and mixed drinks only costing ~5 bucks on a Saturday night! I think something that makes the pub area stand out among other pubs is once again, their service. All of the bartenders were extremely helpful and nice, and I was constantly being surprised by a full water glass every time I turned around to take a sip. I have so many more good things to say about this place, but I'm sure you understand enough already :). This restaurant shines among others with it's quality food, large portions, impeccable service, and reasonable prices. I can't tell you the last time I was so impressed by a restaurant in every single aspect. So if you are ever in the area, you would be crazy not to stop by Staub's landing. Fine dining or a bar atmosphere, take your pick :)

Starting off with a Black An Tan Guiness and Bass. Nice job on the pour, they seperated nicely. Had the lump crab soup as a appetizer. Really nice to have the large chunks of crab in there. Super flavor and a great start. My steak was cooked perfectly and I really enjoyed the entire experience.

It was my birthday and I wanted to try someplace new and since it was my choice of place my wife and son had to agree to go. (Seems like this is the only way to get to a new place.) Since we have hit up all the places worth going to around Westminster I yelped at Frederick, Owings Mill, Gettyburg, and Hanover. Staubs Landing only had one review but it sounded intriguing so that was my choice. We started off with cups of the lump of crab soup and my wife had the French Onion. All of us wished we would have got the bowl instead of the cup. Next up came the appetizers of calamari and stuffed mushrooms. The six stuffed mushroom did not have a chance. They were delicious. The calamari was cooked just right and the marinara sauce was not your mother's ragu. It was homemade and had the consistency of a chili. The taste was great and I wished I had a spoon for it instead of a fork. Next came out some servings of bread. It was homemade and served at a perfect temperature not to hot to handle nor to cold that it would not melt the butter. The flavor was so good that we had to ask for more. Now for the main course. My son tried he Red Salmon. I had the broiled scallops. My wife had the stuffed scallop. No conversation took place except for the occasional mmmmm. We were too full for desert but with everything being so good I had to see what their selection was. I remember a cheesecake being mentioned as was a brownie sundae. But when the waiter said I could have a free desert for my birthday i gravitated to the apple crisp ala mode. The waiter brought us 3 spoons as we were going to share it. The dessert did not disappoint. While it took a birthday to try Staub's landing I can assure you that it will not be a special occasion to go their again.
