The Italian fare is very mediocre and I will never understand the valet parking in the suburbs. Added cost not needed. If you think the crab cakes are outstanding then you haven't eaten at many eastern shore seafood restaurants. Shame on you! Many other reviewers hit the nail on the head, pretentious atmosphere for decent food that is over priced. If you have kids make sure they don't drink soda with their meal, refills are an additional charge! Spend less money and drive to the city to eat.

Ate there on 3/19/14 and was disappointed overall. They have a nice extensive wine list and the service was very good. The ambience after the remodel in the main dinning room was very nice but the food disappointed. We started with fried zucchini that was to greasy when served. The salads were good but expensive ($8-10) and ok. Entrees were served but my wife's veal parmigiana was warm and not hot. My spaghetti was ok with homemade pasta noodles but not great. Overall nice ambience, good service, pricey with good quality that fails to deliver.

Dined on 07/25 and was pretty disappointed. Food was mediocre at best and expensive. I had the snapper in a tomato sauce, which was that nights special. My companion had the veal parmesan which he said was rubbery. In all honestly I'd have rather eaten at Olive Garden. Plus they force you to valet park, give me a break.

I never really liked crabcakes....until now. Now I consider myself a "CrabCake Connoisseur". I raise my glass to Vallozzi's for making the best Crabcake I've ever ran accross. The atmosphere is impressive and the service has always been impeccable. Be prepared to pay a pretty penny, although if your not looking for a formal dine then they have a bar area with tables that is casual. Keep in mind this is Valet only except during brunch/lunch.

I eaten here several times in the past view years and have always been disappointed. My January 2014 visit, unfortunately, was much the same. Nothing terrible, just high prices for regular (mediocre) food that is available at a dozen places within 3 miles at half the price. Looking for something good to say, the drinks were strong and well made and the service was good. Valet parking is an extra cost that adds nothing as the parking lot is d large and close. Entrance is dark. There were only two parties there, ours and an couple at the bar. It was late for western Pennsylvanians, 8:00 PM. I doubt that I will go there again.

Great gourmet italian. The white pizza is amazing. Also, the cappelletti and lobster is excellent. I would also recommend the warm herb crusted goat cheese salad. I've been here many times and the only reason I cannot give it 5 stars is because service is inconsistent. Sometimes you feel like you are in one of the nicest restaurants in Manhattan, but other times you are reminded that you are in Greensburg. However, if you are in the Greensburg area and looking for excellent food, Vallozzi's is your answer.

Our table started with the baked mozzarella, which was good, and dinner salads, which were fine. It went downhill from there; my mother-in-law's pizza was cold and the crust was flavorless, my wife's Cioppino was oily and under seasoned, my Risotto Dimare was mushy and the shellfish was over cooked, and my father-in-law's veal was decent, but not remarkable. Our server appeared to be over-worked or scatterbrained. You can do a lot better in Greensburg for $40 a setting if you'd prefer good food over pretense.

We went there for a birthday dinner. We had heard very nice words for this place. When we entered it, it instantaneously raised our expectations since the atmosphere was great and seemed a lot like a traditional italian restaurant. However, I have to admit that the food itself was not something spectacular. It was not bad for sure but I would have expected much better from what I had heard and from the prices, which were at the higher end of the spectrum. I do not think I would go there again (especially if you are driving from Pittsburgh :) ), unless if there is an event I have to attend.

Well, I too had the crabcakes as a preceding yelper describes. However, yes, it was jumbo lump crab.....but.... only that alone gave it a feeling of Baltimore crab cakes but the taste, not much to them. In fact, very little taste or flavor and I would say, to get rid of the tin can flavor as that is where they had to come from, it needed a good dipping sauce. As for the Veal Parm, just ok. I say that as for how this place is often described.....fancy and the service is good......the food, for the price and today's competition, it is just, ok. Yes, we like the inside, the staff but we just can't offer up more than two stars for the food and isn't that the main reason to visit a restaurant?

We took my mother-in-law here for her birthday, and was surprised to say the least. They force you to valet park with is a little over the top for a small restaurant. I knew it was bit pricey, but had no idea it was almost gouching the wallet at times. The food was very good, but was way too small a serving for such rediculous pricing. The meals do not come with anything except a small portion of whatever you ordered, no salad or bread. I ordered a pretty normal beer and was shocked when I received the bill and saw that it was almost as much as a six-pack normally would be. I should have asked how much it would be, so I suppose it was my fault. I have eaten at many Italian restaurants and this was one of the most over-priced I have ever eaten at. Now don't get wrong, service and atmosphere were top notch. My mother makes Italian food from scratch all of her life so I know what goes into alot of these dishes and I know that these are horrible over priced. I will never go there again for any reason. So in short if you have more money than you know what to do with and love to just prove that, then this is the place to brag that you ate at.

OK, I have to agree with other reviewers regarding the overall food. Overpriced (way overpriced) for mediocre food. However, why did I give this a 4 star rating you ask? Simply for the pizza. The pizza here is one of my favorites anywhere! The crust is amazing and different from anywhere I have had anywhere. It has a bit of sweetness to it and is very thin and crispy. The sauce is also amazing. For no reason other than the PIZZA is why I will continue to stop at Valozzi's when I am in the area.

Quite possibly my favorite place to eat. Be prepared to pay though. My wife and I try to go a couple of times a year. Service is fantastic and the food is spectacular. Pick an appetizer and an entree. You'll likely not be disappointed. Afterwards... The bread pudding is just ridiculous. Rich and creamy and floating in a caramel bath. As rich as it looks and tastes, somehow it can be finished. If you're looking for something very casual but also really good, sit in the bar area and have one of their artisan pizzas. Not as hard on the wallet, but still well worth the trip.
