Food was excellent, service was great. Could have a little more of a wine selection but other great experience.

This is a nice place, comfortable and a bit reserved. The food is as expected, no complaints but nothing to knock your socks, just good traditional food. If your looking for a quiet dinner this place is very satisfactory.

Small portions, pricey for what you get, steaks are just ok. Not impressed. Lot better places for a good steak.

Just had an excellent meal - 4 oz filet and a delicious bib lettuce salad. Mixed drinks were very good and desserts were all good too. I often judge the cleanliness of a restaurant by the bathroom and they had the cleanest ladies' room! Highly recommend this restaurant.

Updated review: we had an excellent meal at Connor's. My previous review was due to a shoddy experience we had. We recently gave it another shot due to a newspaper article. We ordered calamari, Caesar salads, and eggplant parm. The calamari was fantastic; spicy and sweet. The Caesar salad was delicious - crispy romaine and not an overbearance of dressing. The eggplant was excellent - a far cry from eggplant Parma I've had elsewhere. Whatever they did to change their food, it worked. The other back mountain "restaurants" could take notice. Fresh not frozen.

Excited to see what Connor's Grillroom had to offer. Seeing the traffic when ever in the area Connor's seemed to be the place to go. Everything started well, fresh bread still warm, and a wonderful waiter. Everything went down hill from there. The entrees were bland and the wonderful fresh ingredients were ruined by poor seasoning and lack of attention to details and the side dishes. My order was the Shrimp and Scallops with a side of corn & bacon risotto with spinach. The scallops and shrimp were good, well cooked and seasoned just enough to bring out the flavors. The Risotto on the other hand was awful. The rice was so over cooked you could barely tell it was rice. There was far to much corn nearly half the risotto was corn. The bacon was the consistency of of that chunk of pork you find in canned beans. It was a waste of time to top the dish with fresh spinach as you could not enjoy it over the near rice pudding texture of the rice. To top it off the only stand out flavor was corn and you might get a feel of bacon grease in your mouth. My wife's order was the crab cakes with potatoes and veggies. The crab cakes were just that pure crab with little to no seasoning or filling other then crab. A waste of quality crab meat. The veggies tasted of smoke but not grill smoke. I would say they were seasoned with some type of smoke seasoning as it carried over from bite to bite. The potatoes were fried petite potatoes nothing can to wrong there. The prices were far too high for the quality of the cooking and preparation. At these prices I wouldn't recommend this for anything other then drinks in a nice atmosphere.

Great service. Nice wine selection. The menu had good variety and the atmosphere was classy and calm. For my entree I had the chicken francaise. It wasn't my favorite preparation - the lemon sauce was a bit too sweet and very thick. I was hoping for more sauce and more acid. The chicken itself was a kind of "tender" rather than a full breast, and I found a few tendon-y pieces. The vegetables were good, though. The entrees are a bit on the pricy side, but I will be going back for another dinner and bottle of wine type of night.

Have not been here in over a year and have to say I was not pleased -at all. On this day I was dining with 1 of my Co-workers. We started with the Ceasar salad which was not anything special ;tasteless - bland - recieved better at the olive garden. and the french onion soup which resembled Campbell's or Progresso; very watery. For the entrée the waiter recommended the Lobster Ravioli (which I had) & I have to say the portion size was insulting. A plate of 6 mediocre sized ravioli with 1/4 cup of Spinach and about 10 peas. At 25$ thats roughly 4$ a ravoli. That is a joke. You should really be ashamed of yourself for serving this. My Co-worker had the filet mignon dinner with vegetables and shrimp in brown butter. The filet was stone cold. Very dark ;resembled a piece of charcoal. The side of vegetables( a mix of string beans, asparagus. cauliflower and carrots) were the best part of the meal. They were fresh ,perfectly cooked , had a nice crunch. The shrimp (4 heafty sized buggers) were tough. She let me try a bite; I had a hard time chewing. very Rubbery. All for a wopping 34 dollars. We both were not pleased. Will probably not return.

Calamari and the Sauvignon Blanca was good. Still trying to decided if the soup was Campbell's or Progresso. Our entrees both tasted the same but one was the crab cakes and the other chicken piccata. I don't think anything was made in house. A typical keeping up with the Jones' establishment where people just want an expensive meal not a good one.

I echo the previous comment. I've dinned there occasionly, last time two years ago, and my most recent experience reminded me why. Three of us ordered their signature, Pork with Lump Crab. All three of the PORK entrees were tough and without flavor, the steak knife struggled...thank goodness for the for the sauce. The bill was $93. for the two of us, without desert...three glasses of wine where made off site...YEA! Our waiter, "Lurch" disappointed us as well, but I'm a softy so he still got 20%...next time I'm heading to Raub's... Price vs. Quality is lacking...

Best meal in 50 miles of Grillroom, moved from Seattle and this place is as good as the best in Seattle!

Over the years we have found more and more that Connor's excels in only one thing - pretension. The ceaser salad was tasteless, the filet mignon dinner (nice steak) was stone cold and the colossal shrimp in brown butter tasted like wall paper paste. Despite its convenience, it's off the list.

I've had dinner at Conner's many times over the past decade, because its one of the few places in Dallas that's open on Sundays. There was time when the food was good, and the service was excellent, but its been going slowly downhill. I've had some really bad food and service experiences at Conner's in the past few years. I can't recommend it. The food is off, the service is lacking, and the prices are very high for what you get.

Took my husband here for his birthday and we really enjoyed ourselves. Large menu and everything was yummy. Staff was very nice and responsive. Enjoyed the atmosphere too.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
