We are frequent visitors of DaVinci's restaurant and it is a family favorite. My children love the chicken piccata. The staff is always friendly and goes out of their way to say hello to our girls. It is a casual and relaxed atmosphere. We love eating in the nook area above the bar. We will definitely be returning.

Not what it strives to be, food wasn't all that great pretty bland but they know how to make good drinks and bartenders were nice I would go back but just for drinks.

Good service, so-so food. Came here with family on a Monday night, the place was fairly empty. Ordered chicken fingers for the kids and Asian Chicken salad for me and my wife ordered French Onion soup plus Caesar salad. Very simple food but it was really just so-so but expensive. Would have been better off going to Kumo for much better food at the same price.

Nothing special here. Have a full dinner menu but never ate it, usually stuck to the bar/bar food. Food was decent but only got a burger or a cheesesteak. Beer's cold, food's hot, and the bartenders are friendly...

Pretty good food in a cool old looking building. Prices are average. I tried their beef sandwich and it was amazing. The meat was very tender and fell apart in your mouth as you were eating it. I also tried the wings. While they were on the small size they had a tasty sauce. The have a ton of beer on tap so beer lovers will like this place as well. Lastly the service is really good. They take good care of you and make sure you always have what you need.

Alas I met a true phillian. Our waiter was fantastic and the chicken romano was excellent. The atmosphere was bery inviting and relaxing at the same time.

A few weeks back, I met a friend here for dinner. I wasn't really expecting that much to be honest. Just a simple dinner and some beer. I ordered their spaghetti carbonara special topped with blackened chicken. It came with a Caesar salad which was a bad attempt. However, the chicken was amazing! Seriously. It was extremely moist and flavorful. I don't think I've ever had blackened chicken that wasn't dry inside. This was a 5 star dish. Oh, and plus their carbonara came with peas which I'm a fan of :) I'm looking forward to taking Jeff there so in the meantime I'll go with 3 stars since everything else that night was just average.

I was really impressed with the food. The service was okay, but make sure you don't get seated at the corner of the bar area. There is a service are behind the seat. Not a very nice place to sit. I can't wait to go back and try more items from the menu!

Da Vinci's Pub is not the place to go...ever. The location is incredibly small. From the outside you think you are going to enjoy a nice pub until you enter and there is barely anywhere to stand that you aren't in the way. When we went recently, there was no heat. Everyone inside Da Vinci's had their jackets still on. I even saw a woman with her gloves on trying to eat dinner. The bartenders were nice, I will give them that. While grabbing a beer from the bar, my friend suddenly stopped drinking to pull what looked like a chunk of hair and fuzz from the bottom of a drain out of his drink. To put the icing on the cake, there is one men's and one unisex bathroom INSIDE. The ladies room is outside. You need to exit to find the bathroom on the side of the building. If you go to Da Vinci's, make sure you dress warm and only drink the bottled beer.

Went here after a movie at around 9 on a Friday. There wasn't a wait, but we sat down and were on a first date. We were talking and not sure if we were going to get an appetizer/dessert but definitely were going to get drinks. The waiter was training someone and they came over a couple of times to see what we wanted. We said we weren't sure if we were getting food and were about to order our drinks. Before we even could order a drink the waiter said in a condescending way, "Oh you aren't getting food? You know there is a water fountain in the parking lot. Why did you come to our restaurant?" And walked away. We left a few minutes later. I would never go back to this place!

Come here often. Wings and fries. Walnut chicken salad. Steaks. All good. Nice neighborhood 'big' bar. In the summer there is seating along the outside of the restaurant but not recommended because of the traffic. Gets a crowd at night for the band.

Had an absolutely wonderful meal at Davinci's Pub tonight. It is really becoming "go to" restaurant for us!!

It was OK. Spinach artichoke dip did not have a fresh taste or consistency - sort of yellow (?) and soup-y, but flavor was alright. Bruschetta that came with the dip were a little hard and too dense. A litter, crisper item would have been better. I thought perhaps the flatbread in the bread basket would be better, but it was dull and not crispy either. Salad was rather limp. Blue cheese dressing tasted like a bad jar variety. Crab cake was OK. Broccoli was actually perfectly cooked and very nice. "Wild rice" seemed like regular rice, heavily salted/seasoned from a package(?) with small bits of red pepper in it -- pretty lame, er.. "tame" for wild rice.

A couple years ago, it was better. I used to like the pasta dishes and some of the appetizers. Last 2 visits over the past year were not as good. Had some wrapped shrimp that were under cooked and mushy. The ravioli was not as good as it used to be. I do not care for the table layout with a lot of middle tables. Can get noisy with the large bar area near by. Overall disappointed the last couple visits, so will not be going back any time soon.

I've been here during happy hour a few times and always had a good experience. It wasn't crowded at all this time of day. We've sat out on the back deck and even brought our dog which they didn't have a problem with. (It's hard to find a dog friendly outdoor seating in this area!) So we've come back simply for that. The beer selection is just like any average bar. The staff has always been friendly. It's clean. The food was also pretty good. We've gotten wings and some other apps that were happy hour specials that were great- cheesesteak spring rolls I think. Their salads are large and tasty. Burger was pretty good but not the best I've had. I saw the flatbreads and they looked delish but I did not get them so I can't say if it actually was. I was here just one time at night and it was really crowded- typical bar scene- but they had a band and so that made it fun.

terrible experience' we went there for "family pasta night". it took 5 minutes to seat us in a half empty restaurant. we were seated and ordered food and non alchoholic drinks. It took 25 minutes before we were served water. after a half an hour in the restauraunt, and 2 kids rapidly melting down, we still didn't have salad, bread, or even place settings. I went up to complain to the matte d/ hostess however she was busy on a personal phone call. I walked around the bar area for a few minutes, and decided it was a waste of time, so we left. I explained why to the hostess and she asked if we wanted our food to go. yeah right. in the interest of fairness, I will point out that there were apparently only two servers working when we were there, not nearly enough. and it was also apparent that the kitchen was backed up. two large parties that were there ahead of us still had not been served when we left. hopefully the management reads this review, and understands this is their problem, and not blame the overworked staff.

We just happened to stop by this place on a Thursday afternoon between lunch and dinner. It's a cute place with nice bar area and separate dining room. We were quickly seated and waited on. We tried Mama's meatballs and they were very good. Just add some grated cheese and fig in. I ordered the chicken panini and my bride had the eggplant rollatini. The eggplant was good the panini was so so. Service was great and I would stick with anything that has the marinara sauce.

Although the quality of the raviolis were good, at least give me a full bowel and not 7 of them. I hate going to restaurants and feeling like i have to hit up Burger King after.

Been here two times and was impressed both times. Service (we had Kim for a late lunch) is great! Prices are good, the food is well worth it. Food was AMAZING!!!! My hubby ordered the linguini with clams and they do not skimp on the clams, I got a walnut and blue cheese salad that was life changing good. So good. Highly recommend to others! Atmosphere is pub and very nice.

Luncheon for approx 12 was served well with exceptionally good food. This was my 3rd or 4th time and each time it for different things. BDay Party, dinner, date, etc. Very reasonanable price too considering how large the portions are. Like the decor as well as the seperate areas. A must try in Collegeville.

How we landed up here has a bit of a story: Da Vinci's had set up a booth at my wife's place of work and one of the dishes that was on offer appealed to her. Which is why we found ourselves here on a Sunday afternoon. We were promptly seated as we came in. The first surprise we were in for was that the menu our server handed us looked quite different from the menu my wife had been handed back then. It turns out that the menu she had was the dinner menu whereas even on a Sunday, they had the lunch menu on offer at that time of the day. Our server was however nice that he checked with the chef and agreed to bring items from the dinner menu as well. Our order was for fried calamari & italian steamed mussels (appetizers), penne vodka pasta and the da vinci's seafood pasta bowl (entrees). Each of the entrees came with a house salad but I upgraded to a Bleu cheese walnut salad. The portions were more than adequate and needless to say, there was just too much food for the two of us and we ended up with doggy bags. What left a lot (and I seriously mean, a lot) to be desired was the taste of the food itself. Calamari is my go-to appetizer and nearly every time I have had calamari, it has been better than what we had here. For one, they were too small. Italian steamed mussels in spicy red diavolo sauce were also less than ideal and the sauce did not have the right consistency. The seafood pasta bowl had lots of seafood (shrimp, calamari, etc.) but it was unbelievably bland. Even with a fair amount of lemon and crushed red pepper, it was hard to get over the feeling of pasta that had been merely boiled and been left unseasoned. If there was one item that was OK, it was the penne vodka pasta. It turns out that this is the item which my wife had at the food fest and it may have been the only item which the restaurant does a decent job at :) The decor of the place was also a little confusing. On the one hand, this place tries to project an upscale image but the chairs don't go well with it. Something I also noticed was that the inside of the doors in the restrooms were dotted with the marks of stapler pins, the kind you would have seen on the doors of a cheap bar. All things considered, we do not see ourselves going back to this place anytime soon even with a 15% discount that my wife has access to to because of where she works. There are lots of other places that are worth trying out besides Da Vinci's.

DaVincis does a nice job as long as you have the proper expectation. I live locally and this is a go to for a casual dinner with a decent selection of beers and food specials. I too may have a different review if I was classifying this as an upscale establishment, but it is not by any means. The vodka flatbread is quite good and though they call it a flatbread it is the size of a small Tuscan pizza. Sandwiches during lunch are usually very good!

Went into this place for the first time after driving by it so many times.Wish I had of just drove on down the road.Let me start with a positive a good beer selection.....Until you get your first not so cold beer. Not to mention FLAT. When I brought it to the waitress attention she immediately told the manager who returned and never addressed us,but continue to speak aloud that the beer wasn't flat ,but there was definitely a bad taste to it Speaking only to the waitress.Unprofessional in my eyes.Thai ts not how you handle a customer complaint. My Fiancee and I tried several other beers and they all taste the same.FLAT. Now to the menu .Over priced .With very small portion.First and Last time there.

Awful restaurant. The service to be frank, was atrocious. The waiters sucked, and the managers were no better. Don't even get me started about the food, which was cold and bland. The atmosphere is obnoxious, and the feeling of the place is horrible. AND THE MUSIC - once "The Insiders" (which is a ridiculous name for a so-called "sophisticated" restaurant) started playing i couldn't even hear people at my table. And the crowd they brought was an slew of annoying drunks. Don't take your family here. Or your wife or partner. Or anything. Stay away at all costs and keep a far distance, because the music you can hear from outside anyway.

Da Vinci's provides is a very cozy pub-like atmosphere that makes you want to stay all day long. In fact, I think it's a great place to have a few cocktails or beers on a snowy day. The bar area has a number of TVs and it's therefore a good place for watching a game. The food though is average at best and over priced considering the quality. It's not BAD food. It's just not GOOD or noteworthy in any way. I've been to Da Vinci's about a dozen times for dinner and never have I left there feeling like I just had a really good meal. There are tons of much better choices nearby with better food, better service and lower prices.

Last night a co-worker and I hit up Davinci's Pub to blow off some steam and enjoy a little post-holiday merriment. I really enjoyed myself here, our Waitress Cortney was fun as hell, totally patient, and not to mention easy on the eyes. :) We ordered a few app's and 2 entrees; when I didn't enjoy my entree Cortney and the Manager went out of their way to make sure I still enjoyed my dining experience and I could tell it wasn't just lip service. The drinks kept coming and we ended up staying 3-4 hours because the music was good (not too loud or in your face), the service was great, and we were having a blast. As someone who travels to this area often I'll definitely be heading back for more of the same....FUN!

The food is fine, pretty average. I have been here several times because it has nice decor and my family likes the atmosphere (visiting me while at college). The service is usually an acceptable amount of time, but has been very slow on a few occasions. I did get a chocolate martini here once that was DELICIOUS!

Davinci's is always packed on the weekends if Im driving by. It always seems like a party is going on! Its a nice bar/pub and they usually have some sort of music, band etc for a fun time. Parking is indeed spacious, but last Saturday night there was NO where to park. After parking out close to a ditch and moving inside we sat at the bar while we waited for a table. We had a party of 8 so we expected a bit of a wait. The bar was great, drinks were a little pricey but decent. When we were seated we waited a very long time to get waited on even for drinks, then food. Granted they were very busy but we were there a total of 2.5-3 hours from start to finish. The food was good, came out hot and plentiful. The other reviewer talked about small apps but we didnt order any so I cant comment on those portions. The entree portions were a good size and came with salad/bread. Our waiter was very friendly and tried his best to be attentive but if I could suggest anything, I would say hire more weekend staff for the dining room. Worthwhile place to go have drinks and watch some live music and mingle. The pub setting environment is very rustic and open. Dining is decent if you dont expect a fine center city restaraunt.

  • Paul B.

DaVinci's is a decent place to go. It's not the best restaurant and bar in the world, however they can hold their own. I have been here 3 times, one of which we didn't even sit down due to the fact that it was a Saturday night and we were given an "80 minute" wait time. The following time we went, our waiter was young and very personable. Turnsole was good. I ordered 5 cheese ravioli with Alfredo sauce, it was great. My girlfriend had the gnocchi, also delightful. The third time we came, food was equally as good, the waitress did not seem enthused about her job or us not wanting a salad with our meals. Understandable, dealing with people all day everyday can run you down. Overall this place is a very good place to go for a hearty meal. Prices are reasonable and portion sizes range from 'large' down to 'are you sure this isn't the kids meal?' depending on what you order. Good atmosphere, go there on a night with live music if you want an excuse to just hang out.

It's funny to see your feelings of a place echoed in other people's reviews. Went here with some of my co-workers for food and drinks. We sat at the bar. I'll be honest, the service at the bar was really excellent with fast service and friendly staff. Unfortunately the positive ends there. I 100% agree with what another reviewer said in that this place seems to think a bit too much of itself. The atmosphere is fine but nothing worth bragging about. Where it really takes a nosedive is prices and food quality/quantity. I ordered a couple of cosmopolitans and while they were good, I almost fell off my bar stool when I got the bill - $11 each. That's center city elite restaurant prices. You can't do that in the suburbs and expect people to come back! Food wise my one co-worker warned me to not expect to be impressed (he had been taken here for lunch by clients on a couple of occasions) and he was right. We ordered some apps to share, one of which was a $13 sampler platter which consisted of 4 tiny spring rolls (the size of your thumb - no lie), 2 chicken fingers and 5 (yes you read that right) fried onion rings and accompanying dipping sauces. Now look, I have no problem with small portions but if you're going to charge a lot for small portions that food had better be absolutely unbelievable and guess what, it wasn't. This seems like the type of place where people would go that think because they're spending a lot of money on drinks and the place has a cool name that they're somehow elevated to upper class. There are much better choices to be had in the area than this place.

I have eaten here twice in the last couple months, I never had to wait. The servers have been great and the food was good, I'm very fussy when it comes to Italian food so on a scale of 1-10 I'd give them a 5. Drinks were good and the decor is nice.

I had lunch at Da Vinci's with my mom the other day and it wasn't bad! The atmosphere is nice - dark wood and stone with fireplaces. We were seated immediately and our waiter was prompt and pleasant (though a little strange, but nothing I could hold against him). I wasn't overwhelmed by the menu - nothing was really calling out to me. I finally settled on the penne vodka and mom got the ravioli. The bread and salads were good and the food came shortly after we finished our salads. My pasta was very good - mom tasted it and she really liked it too! We waited a little too long for our check, but overall had a nice experience. I would definitely order that pasta again, or maybe try a pizza, which also sounded good. A good place for lunch!

Da Vinci's is housed in the old Harpoon Louie's building. The wooden and classic accents throughout gives this place a pleasant and historic kind of vibe. Many nights you can find an acoustic guitar player, and that's really nice. The wait to be seated has typically been very short. No worries though, you'll more than make up for it in the time you spend waiting for your food. In the many times our family has dined there, food has taken about 45 minutes to an hour to reach our table and when it does, it is lukewarm. It feels like it has been left sitting to be honest. Go there for the square pizza, they make a great pub pizza. That's my favorite dish there. Before it was Da Vinci's, this place was called something like the "Great American Bar and Grill" I believe. That was a much better run business at the time, the food was always excellent and we ate there frequently. Since it became Da Vinci's it has noticeably gone downhill. It isn't horrible, but we've had such an increase in poor service and experiences, we barely go there anymore. We used to go there about every other week, now its more like once or twice a year. My worst experience there involved me ordering a drink. I ordered a Surfer on Acid drink with my meal. The waitress brought me the drink in a shot glass. Now, I had specifically asked for the full drink, who has a shot glass with their meal?? I asked for it in a full glass and get this....I never got it. The whole time we were there, repeatedly asking the waitress for the drink and it never came. All I had was the shot glass so that is what I drank and I still got charged for the drink I didn't get. I argued with the waitress that I should not be charged at all, that I never got the drink. She wouldn't take it off the bill despite the fact that my order was never fulfilled. I got charged the $7 for the drink even though I never got the whole drink. Yeah, that $7 just came right out of her tip. If I order something, bring it to me. Isn't that all we ask? I've never had something like this happen to me in a restaurant, where I never even got the drink I ordered despite repeated prompts.

I have met friends here for drinks a few times now and I will keep returning. The last time we sat down for dinner and I have no major complaints. Customer service was good, which is a must wherever I go. Food was what I expected and the wait wasn't unusually long. Prices are a little high, but not outrageous. The entertainment is great too! Twice I have seen very talented bands playing here and they have a great jukebox selection as well. Conveniently located and I will return!

My absolute favorite place up and down Ridge Pike from Pottstown to Norristown. Great atmosphere, clean, fantastic food and large drinks. I usually eat at the bar which is large and plenty of room for spreading out. I've had several items on the menu and they are all great. For a quick lunch try the Mediterranean Tuna Salad wrap and for a dinner entree, I love the veal piccante with pasta.

REALLY BAD NIGHT. I host a weekly dinner group and I was very excited to try Davinci's. My excitement was over pretty quickly. Were do I begin..... We had a group of 13. We had a reservation and our table was ready when we arrived. Great! It was directly ( like inches) in front of the band. So much for any conversation. It was stifling hot except for a patio door that we were getting a little breeze from. The manager ( im guessing) came over and slammed the door and yelled " the air is on" at our table. REALLY! Yelling at customers? I was stunned. Finally, and this hurts me to say as I waitressed my way thru college and I never comment on service. But, our server was so so bad. She was rude from second one. She was missing most of the night. We ordered salads and they came out in 5 minute intervals. Literally, one salad and she was missing, another salad, missing again. Do you realize how uncomfortable that is for a table of 13? One of us didnt recieve her salad at all and we had to wave down the waitress to tell her. At which point she got huffy with us becuase she forgot the salad. Thank goodness the food was good. The one saving grace of the night. But I shutter to think what would have happened if we ordered hot food! Bad night all around. Its a bit of a bummer since the resturant is so close by and would have been a great hub to have our group dinners. On to the next I guess!

I have been to Da Vinci's twice and it was terrible both times. After my first visit, I gave it one more shot and it wasn't any better. I wish it was better since it is local and convenient, but the food is below average and our server on our last visit ignored us to the point that we had to hunt him down.
