What happened? Never was here for dinner. Only lunch. Wife waited 45min for Ravioli. Not crowed. Never brought the salad. I had bowl of wedding soup which is excellent but not hot. I ordered appetizer "pizza flip" which came after my wife's ravioli. 50 min since I ordered. Never seen flip like this one. Very bad. The waitress did inform us they are taking the pizza flip off the check. Problem tonight was bad service by inexperienced waitress and new cook in training. Resturant was NOT crowed. I am still waiting for check. To bad owner wasn't here tonight he would of been embarrassed.

We've been ordering from The Bistro by Pizza Joe's for several months. Called today on the big Steeler game day...........all of a sudden we 'technically' aren't in their delivery zone. I see from other reviews, the staff @ The Bistro by Pizza Joe's need a lesson or two in how to give a crap. OK, FUNNY because the first time I called The Bistro by Pizza Joe's, I actually talked with one of their regular delivery drivers. He said we are within the delivery radius. We are .5 miles further, he said that was absolutely no problem. It wasn't like it was 5 miles further, just a half a mile. He was so pleasant & kind, I was kind of in shock. You just don't get that today. Especially with pizza places. When we placed our order this past time, dealt with a teeny boper that answered the phone. She was able to pull up our customer history from the phone number I was calling from & read our address to me. It was all correct. Hmmmmm, could that be a tiny clue for someone that we've ordered from there before???? Did I hack into their computer system & falsely add our customer information? Any idiot would take one second to 'think' if we are in the computer as a customer with our full address, The Bistro by Pizza Joe's must have delivered to us before, right??? The teeny boper got all 'um, oh' & decided she had to ask the manager Amy if they deliver to our street. The manager said 'no'. That was that. I was shut down from my order being delivered. No apologies, just too bad so sad. Even when I explained that we have had numerous deliveries within the past few months, no one gave a crap. The more I thought about it, the angerier I got. The last order I placed with The Bistro by Pizza Joe's, a much more mature manager took my order. Funny, she didn't have any problems where we lived. She took our order & it was delivered. HUH, INTERESTING INDEED. I decdied to call The Bistro by Pizza Joe's back asking to speak with the manager Amy that shot us down for our delivery order. I figured she would be able to see outside the box since our customer information was in their computer. I asked manager Amy WHY we were being rejected getting a delivery order when clearly we've had deliveries before over the past 4-5 months. Dear sweet Amy (NOT) had the nerve to tell me that again we are 'technically' out of their delivery zone. Uh huh, not the point. She corrected me telling me that I should have simply explained to the girl that answered the phone that we ordered before & never had any issues getting deliveries. I continued to explain to manager Amy that I DID DO THAT.That I was doing that RIGHT NOW telling manager AMY that we've ordered many times before for delivery. It got heated & I started to yell. What did manager Amy do? She yelled OVER ME, she didn't give one crapola that any of this was going down. Didn't apologize for the misunderstanding, NOTHING. Mind you we usually order $40+ in food each time.Worth the business or so one would have thought. Upon each & every delivery, we tipped the driver $3 tip EVERY SINGLE TIME. That's on top of the $2 delivery charge that is charged up front for any deliveries. Didn't hear any complaints then did we???? SO we've ordered over $40 worth of food, paid $5 FOR DELIVERY WITHIN 7.5 MILES from their location WHEN GAS PRICES ARE DOWN TO $2.50 a GALLON. THAT IS NOT WORTH THE BUSINESS??? FUNNY, they were busy the night we ordered because of the big game. Who are the regular customers that order on slow nights???? Yep, that would have been us. OH WELL, NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN WILL WE DINE IN OR ORDER FOR DELIVERY from The Bistro by Pizza Joe's!!!!!!!!!!! BOOOOOOOOOO HISSSSS I"VE REFERRED FRIENDS to your place of business. Had nothing but great experiences until TODAY. BELIEVE ME I WILL BE TEXTING ALL OF MY FRIENDS TELLING THEM THE BISTRO by PIZZA JOE's DOESN'T GIVE A CRAP ABOUT THEIR LOYAL CUSTOMERS. HOPE THE OWNER(S) KNOW WHAT IDIOTS THEY LEAVE IN CHARGE OF THEIR BUSINESS aka AMY. BRAVO AMY, YOU KNOW HOW TO HANDLE A SIMPLE PROBLEM BY THROWING LIGHTER FLUID ON IT. Pizza & Italian food isn't rocket science. Sooooo very happy to give someone else our hard earned money!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Bistro by Pizza Joe's is a huge disappointment.

The food is delicious. The restaurant is beautifully decorated. Unfortunately I have had too many bad experiences here with the staff to go back. Frank is a great guy who bends over backwards to make things right but he's not always there and unfortunately several members of his family are not as vested in the business as he is.

I was rather disappointed with my families experience here. We arrived prior to the dinner hour and were the only people in the restaurant. The waitress asked us if we wanted a table or booth. I asked for a table and was promptly seated at a booth. I thought the wait time for our food was a bit lengthy given we were the only patrons. I ordered buffalo chicken salad which was served minus the buffalo sauce. The wedding soup didn't have any of the pastini noodles. My husband was disappointed in his lasagna roll. My son's chicken fingers were burnt and he wouldn't finish them.. This from a growing boy who eats anything and everything. The only one that was happy was my 6 year old and since he doesn't foot the bill I'm thinking we won't be returning.

Went there tonight. Upon walking in, air conditioning not working. We decided it was tolerable, so we sat down. Waitress took order, I had the antipasto salad...would not recommend...ranch dressing is bottled, didn't seem worth $7.95. Husband ordered Italian sausage on wedge type of bread, specified no green peppers. It came with peppers. He did like it otherwise. Asked for cannoli for dessert, waitress said "we sold out of those yesterday"...really? Then we paid cash for our check. She came back & informed us they were out of $1 bills & we would have to wait until someone went to get some. Waited for 20 minutes, no offer to refill drinks or dessert, or anything. Not a pleasant visit.

This place was a surprise, very nicely decorated inside...the owner has a big investment here. Main problem? Service. There were plenty of staff on hand but the only person really "working" was a mature woman who was running herself ragged. The place was busy...customers at several tables. Three young staff members sat chatting in a relaxed manner folding silverware into napkins while customers sat with empty beverage glasses/cups, surrounded by used, empty plates. One young waiter was wearing a baseball cap reading texts on his cell phone. Come on - get with the program! This place needs a major shake up if it is going to survive. A restaurant cannot be run by teens who don't seem to understand the concept of work or service. As for the food, it was good. The menu is limited but there is nothing wrong with that. I did not get to try the pizza which is apparently their specialty.

Nice little place that I ate at while visiting family in Pennsylvania. Good prices, good service and even better food. I had the BBQ pizza, very tasty (would have been better with bacon (what isn't better with bacon, LOL). They allow you to bring your own wine as well. Give this place a try, you won't be disappointed!

I was pleased when i saw that this place was opening as a restaurant, as it is very close to my home. After several vists, i have to say I am mostly pleased. I have experienced both eat in and take out. Here are some of my experiences. First visit was sit down dinner, my wife and I. This restaurant is BYOB, so we brought our own alchohol. The wait staff gladly supplied glasses for that. My wife asked if the ravioli was homemade, and they replied that it was, so she ordered that. I ordered a triple cheese and bacon pizza. When the food was delivered(promptly), the ravioli was fresh and homemade as promised, and the pizza was superb, with lots of cheese. We were both pleased with the taste and quality of the food. The owner stopped by our table to chat, and had the waitress bring us complimentary fried dough for desert. With service like that and a total under $25 with tip, what's not to like? Second trip we took our son and his wife and our 2 grandsons. We were seated promptly and served by 2 members of the waitstaff. The staff was extra attentive, and the owner sent 2 complimentary bowls of soup out for the grandsons, who both loved the soup. We decided to just order a couple of pizzas along with some fried zucchini appetizers. The zucchini was very good. The only issue we had was the pizzas were ordered as round but delivered as square. Not a big deal, and the proper apologies and offers to replace the pizzas were offered. We declined the offer and enjoyed the square pizzas, which were very good. Again, a bargain IMO, out the door with tip for under $55 for the 6 of us. The take out experiences have been a bit hit and miss. First take out order was for a pizza they call the "Pepperoni pile up", which they advertise as coming with more pepperoni and more mozzarella cheese. When we got it home to eat, it did indeed have a very generous helping of cheese, but the amount of pepperoni was petty thin, considering this was supposed to have more than a regular pepperoni pizza. However, it was still really good. The second time, i ordered the same pizza, but let the person i talked to know that we were not happy with the amount of pepperoni on the last one we ordered, so the friendly young woman on the phone assured me she would make sure there was plenty of pepperoni on this one. She did as she promised, as this pizza had generous amounts on it. VERY good pizza. The most recent experience was a little strange, in that i once again ordered that pizza, and reminded them to be generous with the pepperoni. I talked to a different woman when i ordered it. When i picked it up, the price was higher. I didn't make a fuss, but did figure out that she charged me extra for what she perceived as my order for "extra pepperoni". Again, not a big deal, but a little odd. Those few very minor issues aside, i really like this place. The owner really goes out of his way to make sure the diners feel welcome, and to show that their business is appreciated. The food is tasty, fresh, and reasonably priced. The service is friendly and efficient. That spells a winner in my book.
