Good selection of items. Things we ordered - Bourbon burger, French dip, and sirloin steak. We also tried fried green tomatoes. They were yummy. All the items we ordered were cooked perfectly. Our waiter Cory was friendly and took really good care of us. He keep our drinks full and brought us extra sauces before we asked. GREAT JOB CORY! Your customers from Rochester NY 8/22/15

Sometimes the food is great and sometimes its terrible. Had a fish sandwich that was tasty and a steak that was not so much. Seafood Mac n cheese was a huge waste of money.

Anyone who has eaten at the original Rachel's Roadhouse knows the the menu is excellent. The food is prepared well. The choices are fab. And there is no need to recommend further on this subject. Atmosphere at this location leaves something to be desired. The open setting allows noise to carry and it can be often difficult to hear conversation at your own table. The tall tables in the center are rather broad and keep a distance between you and your companions. So unless you have a smelly date that you don't want to talk to very much, request a booth.

Ordered the basil salmon to go. The fish was Cooked very well but not sure where the sweet basil part was?? It was a little bland, however it was super moist and after a little salt and pepper-- super delish. Asked for extra grilled veggies and no rice, which they got right (can't stress enough how often my food is wrong) The environment seemed super friendly and was it jumping for Wednesday night in the middle of no where pa (no offense to the locals, I'm a city chick) I wish I hadn't gone to the gym first or I would have definitely sat down for a beer. I will definitely done in next time I'm in town.

Wonderful menu. Excellent service. Delicious food. First time here had the charbroiled Idaho trout over rice pilaf and a dinner salad. Um um good! That was lunch. Going back tonight for a sit down dinner and an earthquake pizza to go. The menu makes me drool. Photos attached.

I love the original Rachel's Roadhouse in Mercer, PA, so I wondered how they could duplicate the charming antique architecture and excellent food. I have to say they succeeded and that this new Springfield restaurant, built in 2012 is a great dining choice. The service was excellent and the sandwiches, the hallmark of the previous Rachel's, were excellent. The sweet potato fries are among the best I've ever tasted. The woodwork and decor suggest the same Victorian Americana that I love about the Roadhouse in Mercer.

Although I have never been able to leave less than 19%, this place really would have been worth every cent of a 17% tip.

Top notch. I will be returning frequently. The food was fresh, the waiters where polite and professional. The decor was pleasant, and their bar is big.

rachels is not too far from where i reside...its kind of my quick go to if i want to get a decent meal...I dont always have the greatest service there, but the food for the most part is really good. Its just ok for me.

This restaurant has the same owner as springfield grille in mars, so we knew this was worth a try when it opened. We used to live around this neighborhood and we went there at least once a week because there's only so many restaurants in butler. I haven't been in a year, so I can't vouch for recent service and food. They had a daily special menu with the new dishes, so you won't get tired of the usual stuff. I do recommend trying the specials. We usually get the mussels when available. My ultimate favorite entree on the regular menu is the tequila lime scampi. Although it has too much butter (could be a pro/con however you look at butter), I do love its perfect combination of sour and salty. I also like their seafood mac. Orher than that, the food on the regular menu is what's to expect of a roadhouse/nothing too special. It is a big downer though that they don't take reservations bc the wait is always long unless you find seats at the bar and that's almost always packed, too. goodluck with parking also. You'd think because it's right by fairfield inn that there's a lot of spaces, but you might have to wait for parking also.

Been here 3 times now and decided it was time for a review. All three meals here have been very good. I recommend trying their soft pretzels for an appetizer. I've had them twice with their homemade honey mustard and they are pretty amazing. Their beer selection is decent. All the regulars plus a few rotating specialties on the taps. My last trip I tried a "Crunchy Reuben" and it was excellent. Basically it's just a fish sandwich with reuben toppings, but I was really pleased with it, plus is was HUGE. The only downfall I've seen with this place is some of the service, though this was only on one occasion when a bartender knew nothing about their beer selection and spent most of her time texting while bartending.. Other than that experience, the service has been adequate.

Overrated attempt at a chop house with uneven, dull menu. Greasy meat dishes, generally overpriced and boring presentation. Nothing for the vegetarian/vegan, just more uninspired pasta and boring salads with meat. The wait staff do their best, but it's unbelievable people will wait 45-60 minutes for a table; probably the only place to get wine in Buttler

I dined at Rachel's Roadhouse with a friend about two nights ago. We had a good experience. The cast iron spinach dip came out in a bonafide cast iron skillet. It was hot and cheesy. It tasted very good! I love to cook and I especially love my antique cast iron, so my friend has challenged me to try reproducing their spinach dip. It was indeed very good. We each had pasta entrees. The serving sizes were larger than expected. They were also extremely rich and filling. Neither of us came close to finishing. Overall, I would say this was a solid restaurant. Travelers staying at the nearby hotel (like us) need not fear the dining. They have good food right at hand.

We were wandering around on a recent Saturday and arrived here late afternoon. I am a fan of the Mercer County location and this location is similiar as far as the interior designs goes. Service was slow and disinterested, even though the restaurant was less than half full and they seemed to be completely staffed. BJ ordered a beer and of course they came back to say they were out of that one. Good start. I appreciate that some of the sandwich choices had a 1/2 option. Not everyone can eat an entire sandwich and not everyone wants to drag half of it home. I got the Tri Club Sandwich with cole slaw. It was roasted turkey, honey cured ham and provolone on sour dough. Even being a halfie, it was more than enough for me. Besides, the server screwed up and brought chips along with the slaw, so I had to try them. They were decent. I really liked the slaw, just a bit of a twang to it. BJ's Blue Collar Sammy was a different story. The cold meat loaf lacked flavor and really, for it being a whole sandwich, it wasn't much bigger than my half. His fries was good, though. After our sandwiches, we were left craving something more and decided to get one of Rachel's famous desserts. We should not have bothered. While our dessert looked good, the Tuxedo Cake (some type of contraption with Boston Creme filling) was disappointing. This place is just not as good as Rachel's in Mercer County. We will try them again sometime when we are in the area. Maybe they are better for dinner.

I live in the area so I've eaten here several times and I can honestly say I've never had a really great experience. Tried the meat loaf one time it is really bad. It was brown mush with a strange flavor. Didn't eat more than a few bites. The French fries that came with it was good though. I've had steak and baked potato a few times. I like my steak medium rare. It's never cooked correctly, but the baked potato is really terrible! Every single one I've ever eaten here tastes burnt. They're always really hard too. I don't understand what they are doing to those poor potatoes. The last time I went, I ordered a grilled chicken salad. The salad was large in size, but the "chicken" was very small. I think it was probably less than half a chicken breast. By the way, I'm pretty sure it was turkey, not chicken and it was extremely dry. This last time the waitress was very good. Every other time they were always very slow and uninterested in their job.

I've been here many times. Today's food wasn't like it used to be. Fries were soaked with oil and soggy. The sandwich I ordered, "the Rachel" was soggy and sloppy as well. Water tasted nasty. Even with lemon. We used to drive 3 hrs just to have dinner here, it used to b that good. I won't go out of my way to eat there again.

I had a great dinner here last night! My server, Matt, was awesome and very attentive and the food I had was great! Perfectly cooked med-rare strip! The only thing I would have changed was that my wine glass was a little crusty on the outside. My second, yes second was perfectly clean though! I will definitely be back.

Atmosphere is amazing, but they really fell apart with their food. I would return for drinks due to the atmosphere, but will never order food again. Chips and cheese - homemade chips were extremely greasy. There were visible pools of fryer oil on some of the chips. Fries were very soggy/mushy. You could lightly squeeze one and oil would drip out of it. No one at my table ate more than 1 fry. Mac and Cheese - noodles were cooked 2 or 3 times longer than they should have been, turning them to baby food consistency. Turkey Reuben (Rachel) - crunchy bread on top, soggy bread on bottom. Had to wash it down with water due to the very dry turkey and lack of sauce. Grilled Chicken Sandwich - chicken must have been on the grill for an hour. I didn't know you could dry out chicken that much.

The 2 stars were for our waitress (she tried) food , atmosphere, professionalism NO stars. It was a zoo..and I'm referring to the staff. I've been there several times before and wasn't thrilled, I will not waste my time or my money by going back.

Stayed at the Fairfield Inn next door to Rachel's on a business trip to Butler. Given the easy walk over, thought I'd give it a try. Definitely qualifies as a "roadhouse" in the sense that there is nothing fancy or upscale about the place. Server was a nice lady with a frantic demeanor - couldn't recommend any wines because she told us wine makes her eyebrows hurt (!) - yes, really. Had the special Greek shrimp ravioli which was tasty but soupy - they should drain the dish better before serving. Probably should have had something else but the menu was very uninspired - tons of fried items which fits the roadhouse theme I suppose. Business colleague had the gnocchi which was also soupy and she left about half behind. The balsamic blue cheese dressing on the salad sounded interesting in theory but there was very little trace of blue cheese - they should consider adding some real crumbles to the salad instead. Overall a "meh" experience, not bad, but not worthy of a return trip the next night.

Food was good. I had the spicy seafood mac. Plenty of shrimp and scallops. The sauce tasted great and was a little runny but they give you bread to soak it up with. Portion was more than enough after the salad that comes with it. I tried the balsamic blue cheese dressing and it was really good. Great place if your staying at the hotel next door.

Have been enjoying dinner at Rachel's 3 nights per week over the past 4 weeks. Have yet to order the same dish twice; generous portions; haven't had a bad meal yet. Fave entree: spicy Cajun pasta with chicken. Portions are so large, we have yet to have room for desserts although we watch them pass by our table and wish we had room for desserts. We work construction; we go in hungry and have not been disappointed. Servers are awesome ! Thank you, Rachel's Roadhouse!

Second time here, and I loved it just as much as I did the first time I came. HUGE burgers, great chips and dip and a GREAT selection of beers. The wait to get in was extended, but WELL worth it!! Service was exceptional. I actually called in later to let the manager know that our waitress treated us so well. We went on Father's Day, and unfortunately my father was in the hospital. Somehow it came up at dinner and the waitess asked what my fathers favorite desert was. We thought it was an odd question, until she came back with our bill and a slice of pie (on the house!!) for my Dad. It also had a personalized note on it wishing him well. WOW! I can't remember her name, but she had black curly hair and had a 22 month old son named Jonah (?). GREAT JOB!! Amazing place, even by California standards. A MUST GO!!!

Yes, my whole crew really likes coming here. BUT, an hour wait on a Saturday evening is not within my patience most nights. However, it must be for allot of people. Last Saturday, after the obligatory 1 hour wait, we were seated and greeted by a harried but vey pleasant waitress. She took good care of us all evening and yes, we enjoyed our meal above average. Did I mention a 1 hour wait. My guess is that until enough people object to this abuse of their time, they will continue this madness. How about a reservation system or call ahead seating? Please.

We frequent this place a lot, food is always awesome. Try getting the half slab of ribs and you will think its a full slab....even the sizes at other places don't match up to the half here. There seams to be a lot of new staff always and consistent service is the struggle, but all in all a good choice

Good burger and the homemade chips were amazing. I would come here again. The atmosphere can be loud, but it's a roadhouse. The place was packed, but I got seated quickly and service was great. I will definitely be back.

My wife and I were out on the bike and stopped for a bit to eat on a Friday night about 8:00 PM. The dining room was pretty full but we didn't have to wait for a seat. Everything looked very clean and new. The menu has a huge selection of appetizers as well as a decent lunch and dinner menu. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is, the prices are a little high for the area. With that being said, the food was very good and we will definitely be back. Just maybe not as often as some other local restaurants with lower prices.

We've only eaten here once during our time trying our the Springfield restaurants. The fried green tomatoes and stuffed pepper soup were AMAZING. Our entrees weren't very impressive (steak and ribs), but those apps totally made up for it. We check their specials every weekend and pick the Springfield's restaurant that has the best. Rachel's just hasn't had the best any other time. I'm sure we'll be back whenever they post those two apps though!

My wife, daughter and I went to Rachel's Roadhouse about three weeks ago. We really enjoyed it. It is a freshly refurbished building, clean and with a very nice layout. It has two separate bars. The place was packed, again! This was the third time I tried to get seated, the first two with my family of 6. We left after being told of one hour wait times. There is really no suitable waiting area. They do not take reservations or even allow you to call ahead. This time, they told us 45 minutes and I asked if we could sit in the bar. The 3 of us were seated right away. We sat on high stools, not belly up to the bar itself, but at a 20" wide railing. The staff, from the hostess to the managers, were excellent; very friendly, helpful, efficient and enthusiastic. The menu, which is posted online, is very intriguing. The food was great to average. I didn't like the french fries, which surprised the manager. They looked unique, but I thought they were soggy and barely warm when served (or when I got around to eating them.) The manager said they were a customer favorite, and that next time I should order them well-done, which I intend to do. I think he offered something complimentary, but we refused. We had already eaten all the good stuff. The Chili was the best I have ever had in a restaurant! All three of us enthusiastically ate the zucchini fries. They were light and sweet. The Appetizer trio of seafood stuffed mushrooms, baby back ribs and jalepeno stuffed shrimp was fabulous. My daughter had a chicken fingers kids meal, as she always does. It was very good (I always end up eating her leftovers. I know every chicken finger this side of the Pecos!) My wife had the Chicken Tiffany, which she said was good, but sort of bland. I had the Highfield Hero Sandwich, without a tomato. I regret waiting this long to write this down, because I forget whether I thought it tasted good. I know I ate the whole thing and it wasn't bad. All in all, I really enjoyed it. I think everybody in Butler must, too, because as I say getting a table for a large party is a little ridiculous. I gave them 4 stars, but would lower it to 3.5 if I could, for the no reservations/call ahead/waiting area thing. Enjoy.

Rachel's is another restaurant of the Springfield Group of western Pennsylvania which include The Log Cabin and Springfield Grilles. This Rachel's Roadhouse keeps up with the high standards of it's sister restaurants. The restaurant has two bars and an American menu, steaks, sandwiches, wings, etc. The service was excellent and the food was too. When the place is busy, which it was, it tends to get a little loud.

I was glad to hear that Rachel's was opening a second location in Butler, as I have fond memories of the original restaurant. The service at this location has been good, the food is decent. We've been 3 times since. It opened, and I'm sure we'll be back. It helps that it's located so close to town.

We visited Rachel's Roadhouse in Butler. It was a nice time. The front was clean and Lexie was fantastic. She suggested the pretzel appetizer with chocolate fudge dipping sauce. OMGOOSH! We will return. Our wings looked different but were pretty good.

As a Mom, any girl's night out is a good time for me as it means adult conversation and beverages without squabbling. But Rachel's Roadhouse in Butler made my night out extra special! I was greeted by a friendly hostess who asked my name when I told her that I was there to meet a friend, and before I could say more she said "right this way." The restaurant was busy and nearly full but without a wait for a table on a very cold (5-10 degrees F outside) and snowy Monday night. A crowd like that is hard to pull in on a Monday night in Butler, but Rachel's is that popular. Their menu offers something for everyone. I went with the Classic Reuben Sandwich, which was perfect. It is the best Reuben sandwich that I've ever had, and I'm kind of a connoisseur of this sandwich, if there is such a thing. The sandwich was made on a hearty, homemade marble rye bread, slathered with fresh sauerkraut, swiss and thousand island dressing. The thinly sliced corned beef was extremely tender and moist. I almost always need to ask for extra dressing for a reuben, but not the case at Rachel's. I paired this perfect sandwich with Rachel's homemade potato chips and onion dip for crunch. I had the ho-ho cake for dessert, which was rich, decadent and moist. The serving of cake was huge, and I brought half of it home. I will be back to Rachel's again soon, hopefully with my husband for a casual date night. Thanks, Rachel's!
