This business has earned my trust. And that's very difficult to do. That, and their stuff is delicious. So delicious that even my Black Lab was impressed... but more on that later. We were all taking part in doing our part for planning the High School graduation celebration for my partner's daughter, a major event which turned to be sort of a secular Bat Mitzvah in size and scope, with a fire hall rented out, massive food selections, etc. etc. Our part was to order a suitable full-sheet cake, the selection made even more difficult as it needed to be as lactose free as possible, given that several of the guests, including myself, are lactose intolerant in several degrees of severity. After almost a dozen inquiries, we came up to Jacquettes and they said they would be willing to give it a try, but they recommended we try one of their selections first to see if it could suffice for the lactose-free crowd. I came up to the store the next day and bought a vanilla on vanilla cake and brought it home. Besides delicious, it more than settled me well in the lactose-free category. My partner, who is afflicted by a sweet tooth, had two and a half servings. I had one slice and still, two thirds of the cake were left for the next day. The moist, aromatic and delicious vanilla cake was placed on the counter and we were all looking forward to devouring the rest of it the next day... Well, here comes the Lab part... I went to order the cake the next day after the gym, and my other half came home early to do some college planning for his daughter. Well, while I was at Jacquettes, he called me up and asked me if I had eaten the rest of the cake. Of course not, I told him... then he told me that there was a happy Black Lab with a VERY guilty look on his face lying on his living room doggy bed, tail happily slamming on the floor, but not even a trace of the cake. Not even crumbs, icing, or any food spots on the floor. Only a clean, almost washed-up styrofoam layer next to the cake box. Thank God it wasn't chocolate... My interaction with the wonderful staff at Jacquette's was superb. Not only did they suggest the proper composition for a minimal lactose cake, but also they were pros at the decorating. A full-sheet vanilla on vanilla with pudding inside cake with a picture of two girls, decorations on their high school colors, pink flowers, little graduation hats and scrolls, you name it. It was almost too beautiful to eat. And the guests were absolutely delighted by the flavors. And yes, it was on time to the second. This was one of the nicest business interactions in a long time.

Excellent customer service! I needed to get a birthday cake for a friend turning 30, and I called a few places that would be able to bake me the perfect red velvet cake with cream cheese icing. I've heard rave reviews about this place, and thank goodness I went with this place! They were even able to put a very cute design in line with our red, white, and black birthday theme! The cake was delicious! Heavenly, really. It was moist, and the icing was not piled on. It was just enough sweetness. When I saw everyone devouring the cake, I knew I chose the right bakery. I highly recommend this place! They have pastries, cupcakes, cookies, and other delicacies that I must try!

Just happened to be in this area this morning and wanted a change of pace for breakfast. Decided to stop in here after seeing Yelp reviews. Good news... Two donuts and a large coffee for $2.69. Good deal. The not as good news... Well, the pastries I chose, the fritter and coffee roll, were decent enough, but I considered the taste somewhat below equivalent bakeries I have experienced in Delco for similar pastries. They're good, they just didn't wow me.

My sweetheart's birthday was saturday and his favorite pie is key lime pie. (Generally, I do not like key lime pie). It was hard to find a bakery that made it, but thankfully I called Jacquettes and they told me that they just made some. The bakery was located in a little shopping center off of Sproul Road so parking wasn't an issue. A man helped me as soon as I walked in....got the key lime pie out from the back and packaged it up. We had it that night. It was wonderful...I even I liked it! Not too sweet and not too tart. The lime was a light green color so it was fresh and it didn't have all of that artificial coloring in it. The whipped cream on top was perfect with just a few shavings of coconut that added the perfect texture. Everyone loved it! I will drop in to try more of their baked goods...

Can't beat the donuts at Jacquettes. Our favorite are the white cream filled, jelly and their coffee rolls. They are so much better than what you'll get at DD. I've also had their cakes which were also delicious.

This place is great for your doughnut fix or a quick pick-up of assorted pastries for a meeting. Everything I tried was super sweet so make sure your sweet tooth is ready.

Excellent donuts. Pretty cakes. But rude salesperson Kristen. nasty tone, talking on phone and ignoring me. I will not enter store again if she's behind the counter. Otherwise I will be back.

Went here on the way to and from the beach from Pittsburgh. Excellent donuts. Our favorites included the red velvet cake donut and the Boston cream, which my wife said could have been the best she's ever had.

Stopped here for the first time ever. We sampled a mini apple pie, an almond crescent, and a cheese Danish. None of these items impressed me. The apple pie was filled with a gooey, commercial filling. The almond crescent tasted almost like solid almond paste. The Danish was okay, but there was nothing special about the pastry and it had too much icing on top. Service was fine, but the items here were not to my taste

Using previous reviews, I bought a chocolate cake for my wife's birthday. First time to the bakery and it was a success. The red velvet cake donuts are great, and the chocolate cake was a huge success - the pudding used for the middle layer kept the cake rich and moist. The icing was also good, and not overdone, great cake-to-icing ratio. We'll be back for sure!

Just finished mangling my chocolate-pudding birthday cake from Jacquette's and I am one year older and one cake happier. The cake itself is rich, dense and moist -- virtually black with chocolate -- and not too sweet. The buttery, soft rolls that ensconced my birthday-choice pulled pork were terrific as well. This is squishy, white German type bread, perfect for ham sandwiches, pulled pork and rolling into bread balls when you are six. Jacquette's is a classic styled bakery and everything is bad for you and by default, fantastic.

I had promised to visit Jacquettes for a while...and finally got there a few months ago. I couldn't write a review because I was hacked big time and had to close all my accounts...now I'm back and the delay was worth it. This bakery is everything a neighborhood bakery should be...great product, especially the cakes, convenient, and friendly!

I bought a strawberry short cake from Jacquette's. And it was delicious. Fresh strawberries...on top and inside. Whip cream was wonderful (not sickeningly sweet) and the cake was so moist. We considered eating the whole thing tonight and going to get another on tomorrow.
