Although the place is known for it mussels, I'm not a mussels kind of guy and my review is based solely on their cheesesteaks. This place is my favorite place to grab a cheesteak outside of the city. In fact, I think they would hold their own against some of the best places the city has to offer. The service is always super quick and very friendly. Their prices are cheap and the atmosphere is one of the friendliest you will find.

went here on a monday night for the "all you can eat" mussels. damn, it was good. i prefer the white sauce but the red was pretty good too. 1st bowl went down pretty quick and so did the 2nd bowl. 3rd bowl was kind of grainy, almost every mussel had some sand or whatever it was in it. 4th bowl was pretty annoying to eat.

Chick's is a hometown bar with hometown people. The regulars will be there, yes, but they won't exclude you. Their mussels really are as good as everyone says they are, so don't be offended by the pride. I've eaten many meals here, had many beers, and even thrown a large private party in the back room, and everyone at Chick's has always made things run smoothly and have been beyond friendly. Plus, their prices are pretty great, too! Check out Mondays for their all-you-can-eat mussels in either red or white broth dinner special, but don't come expecting mussels smothered in marinara. These mussels hold their own and only need the broth to accentuate their flavor.

Know for their mussels but not their beer selection. My problem has always been the weak beer selection which always leads me across the street to Salvi's. This is an ok bar but I never got the love that the locals show.

Welcome to Bridgeport! Chicks is great for a beer with the locals and a good bar-style lunch or dinner. Friendly, easy place to hang out. Bar in the front, dining area in the back. Parking located behind the bar.

Great place for a family meal, few drinks and a snack, or a spot to watch the game. Mussels in red are outstanding; very unique sauce, not marinara. Their all-you-can eat mussels) special costs the same as most places single order. Burgers, roast beef sandwich, and wings are also recommended. Very nice nightly food and drink specials. Like real specials, not $4.00 Bud Lights advertised as a "special". Owner and staff are extremely pleasant and personable people!

Dinner at Chick's last night was a welcome relief after a long afternoon of furniture shopping at King of Prussia Mall. Friendly, welcoming atmosphere, perfectly made to order cocktails, good service and a delicious, affordable dinner. The owners take pride in their restaurant, it's clear. The seafood marinara was so tasty. The only downside was that the shrimp were a little overcooked, not so much that they were ruined, but a bit chewy. The basa {fish} was so juicy and yummy. The mussels in red sauce were great! Plump and perfectly cooked in savory red broth. You can't get better at this price, people! My one suggestion to Chick's is to upgrade their bread, but if that would mean increasing prices, don't change a thing.

This place is great. Great food period. The staff and owners are friendly as well. Everything is affordable and there is more than just the mussels. I ate here twice a week and love their food.

I walked in on a Tuesday night just to have a beer and a sandwich. The bartender was so cheerful and helpful - she recommended the burger, and she was right. Just a great burger. A few minutes later the man sitting next to me introduced himself. He was Dave, the owner. Just a very pleasant man who was again, so nice. I'll be back to that place whenever I'm in the area. This is the best neighborhood bar I've been to in years!

One word: mussels.. Every monday, all you can eat mussels (red or white) with copious amounts of italian bread to sop up all of that delicious sauce. Tried both, but their red is where it's at. It also comes with a simple side salad, but all in all an amazing deal, and seriously the best mussels I've had anywhere. Go here for a casual laid-back atmosphere, no frills, and make sure you ask for extra bread!

Its been a while since I've been to back to Chicks - but I question why. The food has gotten even better. The mussels in white sauce (3doz) with linguine (16.95) is just the way I remember we use to get at the Triangle Tavern down in south phila. "To die for" as a buddy of mine says. We LOVED them! Add to that some killer deviled clams and broccoli rabe with bread, toss in more than a few glasses of quaffable chianti's to round out a thoroughly enjoyable dinner experience. Great food in casual local tappy atmosphere. If your looking for a laid back place to hang your hat and grab a bite, Chicks fits the bill.

Went last night (6/2015) and it was an empty lot. It seems the place has closed down and no one bothered to post it on Yelp. Hopefully they are simply rebuilding, but as of right now the place just doesn't exist anymore.

My boyfriend and I were traveling through this area and liked the positive reviews on the mussels in both red and white sauce. I ordered the lunch size mussels with the white sauce and my boyfriend ordered the dinner size (three dozen) with the red sauce. We also got mozz. sticks as a shared appetizer. The mozz. sticks were probably the standard ones for all take out Italian style restaurants (Pats, Seasons, etc.). They were hot and the marinara sauce was pretty good. My mussels were pretty yummy! The white sauce was a little greasy and the oregano was overpowering. Overall they tasted good. I just wish the sauce was a little fresher tasting (maybe add some fresh lemon slices on the side so guests can squeeze it on the mussels at the table) and cut the oregano in half. My boyfriends mussels were good too. We both thought the oregano was still a little overpowering but in this sauce it made more sense and complimentary since it had a tomato base which cut the butter or oil that made the white sauce seem a little greasy. We'd definitely give this place a shot again as the mussels were tender and the pricing is fair! If I could give this 3.5 stars I would. It's better than a three but I wouldn't say it was four start.

Visited Chicks for the first time after living in Bridgeport for the past year. The food was delicious with large portions. The staff was very friendly and eager to satisfy our large party. I had the french onion soup and Chicken Elizabeth. Both were fantastic. I can't wait to go back to Chick's!

All I've ever had are the mussels with red (2 HUGE takeout containers full) and they were excellent. A local taproom with all that charm and great staff. Will need to go again!

I took my mom for the all you can eat mussels and we had a great time. The service was good, mussels came in a red or white sauce and were delicious, plus everything else we ordered was good as well. I would definitely come back.

Chicks is a great spot off the beaten path in the lowly bridgeport. Everything is good except any pasta dish and the draft selection. I am such a fan of chicks that i drink cl smooth when I'M there and love it
