Had the eggs benedict. Eggs wee over cooked. Potatos were under cooked. The waitress was seldom by our table. No one ever came by to refill coffee. I had to ask for more coffee. Or waitress was loud laughing and talking to the table behind me while standing art our table. The prices were good. The coffee was hot. My daughter was with me and that made breakfast a delight. She was here before and said the service was poor when she was here before ŵ my wife, her mom. They do not accept credit cards, but do have an atm machine, $1.50 charge. I will look for better in the Boyertown area.

This place is aweful. Customer service is terrible. Food was decent besides the long dark hair that was IN my sons toast. Our server dropped our check at the same time as our food which just showed how much she actually cared about my experience there. My boyfriend literally had to walk up to her with the hairy toast to have it replaced. And if it weren't for her having to bring back toast that wasnt hairy we wouldn't have seen her again. Didnt refill my coffee an didnt ask if we wanted dessert. Which my sweet tooth was craving something before we even got there. Cashier didnt even make eye contact for a split second and was too busy talking to some random old man to say a single word to me or ask how everything was. If I could rate this place zero stars I would. I work in a diner an if they gave me a chance I would turn that place upside down an force great customer service into all of them. First and last time ill ever go there. Get some better personalities in there and update some of the outdated stuff and this place could be great. Im disgusted with the way we were treated and I hope the owner or manager sees this rateing

Food is consistent, kid friendly and fast service.. They don't take credit cards, but do have an ATM just in case..

Typical diner food here, if you get there to early, they cram you in the smaller section of the restaurant. Pies and eclairs are to die for but nothing else is to special.

This place needs competition!! The waiters are RUDE and uncaring. The tables are way too close and instead of opening another section, make you wait in line for a seat. They've been getting away with this for years and really don't care. Did anyone ever hear of saying: "May I get you something to drink?". Not here. The waitress came to the table and greeted us with "anything to drink?". These people are not only rude, but lack personality! The food is TERRIBLE. I always give a place a second chance - well, I have been to Saville's four times in the past two years (trying to give yet another chance). Went there last week for lunch. Ordered a fish sandwich which came with soup and one side. Fish was deep fried (fine) but overcooked and near black and served on a stale picnic hamburger roll. Veg soup was bland. For the side I ordered what was described on the menu as fresh potatoes with parsley - wow! Potatoes were CANNED - no parsley, no spices, just dumped out of the can and warmed up. Yuk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My neighbor's pigs eat better than that. If you don't believe me, go there and see for yourself. I honestly don't see how they stay in business and why people continue to flock there. Someone needs to shut this place down and start all over - new management, new staff. The only thing they have going for them is the great location!

This place has great low prices and diner ambiance, with medium good food if you follow this caveat: order diner-type items (sweet potato fries, grilled cheese, pie, coffee, pancakes), and don't expect too much out of specials and entrees, which Saville's tends to screw up in juxtaposition with what you thought you were ordering. Desserts are very good here, so leave room, and when you finish, go see the wrestling in the silver wing at Zern's.

The food is average at best. I have decided to not return here do to their seating. I have never been some where that seats people so close to another table almost like dining at the same table. No thank you

One would think after reading all the negative reviews, the management of this diner would do something about how nasty the staff are. Perhaps they don't read Yelp. Been here twice recently, mediocre diner fare served by very unfriendly staff. Walked in an hour before closing and was told several times we needed to order and eat and get out by then. The second time my Wife had to go to the car to change our 2 year old and the waitress let me know we should not have been seated until all our party was really ready. Even the sign that says cash only seems to really say "eff you" the way it's worded. Go elsewhere until they start valuing customers.

We have visited here for Sunday breakfast several times before we head for the flea market down the road. The good news is that it is consistent. The host always greets us pleasantly with a smile on his face. But, he is the only one who seems to ever smile. We haven't seen the waitress who we have nicknamed "The Grump" for several visits. It's difficult to evaluate the food from just breakfast. Here the breakfast is ordinary diner breakfast fare (no grits!) with the exception of the bacon, crisp and not greasy. We can't understand why diners, not just this one, can't serve freshly prepared potatos rather than the processed kind that are barely edible. Service is on the slow side but it doesn't really matter to us because we're not in a hurry. The atmosphere here is well lighted and especially clean. The cashier is a young man who appears to be devoid of any personality. Not only does he not greet you, he doesn't even look at you, let alone smile, while taking your money!

I recently went out to this diner with my mother and grandmother, big mistake. Two of our burgers were over cooked and extremely dry. I ate one bite and had to send it back. It took so long for our waitress to come back to the table everyone else had already been finished eating by the time our waitress came back to check on us. We needed more drinks, in which she never refilled and she never came back to ask if the food was okay, she just brought the check 10-15mins later. This wasn't even the WORST part, the worst part was when i explained how my burger was cooked... i simply asked to replace it for something simple such as chicken fingers, (also keep in the mind the plate wasnt even touched, i only needed one bite to know it tasted horrible) she then informed me that she would charge me for BOTH of the meals. She then explained that, "that was the resturants policy"??? How can you make a policy about food prices not being refunded when someones meal is cooked wrong. Ridiculous, i was shocked and after arguing with me for 3mins.. she says "nevermind, ill take care of it".... I'll never go here again and strongly recommend no one else does either. There food might be quick and on the less expensive side but the service and the way they speak to you is unacceptable.

Went here for breakfast recently after a friend raved about how her family almost always goes here for breakfast. This diner draws the senior citizens like no place I've seen in a while. It was almost like eating breakfast in the cafeteria at the old folks home, which is not bad mind you, just different. A word of warning that the breakfast food here is VERY greasy. How greasy is it you ask? I felt like my plate needed a diaper change there was so much butter/oil on my plate. I actually was blotting my home fries with my napkin because they along with my eggs were swimming on my plate. I'm usually not squeamish when it comes to greasy food but this was a bit much! The breakfast food is good but if you're counting calories, have high cholesterol or recently had a heart stint put in you should probably eat breakfast somewhere else. Which makes me wonder, what are all the senior citizens doing eating here!?! Maybe it's I Can't Believe It's Not Butter that they're using to cook with and I just didn't realize it. Maybe one of these days I'll get around to trying lunch or dinner here.

love it. Family owned and it shows pride in ownership and quality of food and service. Clean, bright cheerful. Ive heard some reveiwers complain about waitress but you have to "get it" some of them been there 4-ever and they have a dry wry sense of humor that could me misunderstood. I eat there every time Im in town. IM treated well and the food is good and I look forward to each trip back.

This place is the best diner I have ever been too. It constantly amazes me how fast the food comes out and the quality is great. Wide variety of interesting sides. Vegetables may not be fresh from the garden and are usually cooked til soft. But the fried breaded chicken breast was probably never frozen, probably breaded in the kitchen with a thin breading perfectly cooked tender and juicy. If I lived closer, I'd probably never cook again.

I've read the statements about the Saville's servers not seeming happy to be there or providing the most friendly of service, but if you were from the area it's sort of the PA Dutch way - nobody is too smiley or friendly. And my lord if I had to wear that ugly white uniform every day I'd be miserable too - can't these girls wear a polo shirt and pants/skirts? The uniforms are terrible, it's not 1962 anymore. Basic diner and PA Dutch style food (meat and potatoes, not spicy in any way). But what you must do is save room for dessert. The pies are outstanding, and whoever makes their chocolate eclairs should be given an award b/c they are just plain outstanding. Cash only. Not fancy. But you'll be full at the end and have some money left in your pocket. And yes, it's senior citizen, hard workin' kinda people that go here. No frou frou coffee house types to be seen anywhere. :)

A visit to Freecon Farm in Boyertown for apple and pumpkin picking and then a trip Saville's Diner has become a new Halloween tradition in our family (two years in a row). You will have to wait, as this place is very popular with the over 65 crowd on the weekend. Once you are in the service is fast and friendly and the food is great. Extensive daily specials. Turkey platter was good and there were lots of sides to choose from.

We have attempted to eat at Saville's a number of times in the past, but there is almost ALWAYS a long wait! And quite often, we simply don't have the time to wait. Well you should make the time. As far as diners go, this one is pretty darned good! We waited it out on Friday night and ended up having a very good meal at a very reasonable price -- even by diner standards. The roast beef was excellent, mashed potatoes and gravy were very good and the ham was tasty. I recommend this place if you aren't in a great hurry and want a great meal for cheap! NOTE: They do not take credit cards!

I've been coming here since I was a teenager and the food continually amazes me. I have a penchant for eating well at breakfast and it shows when I come out here. Pancakes the size of manhole covers (you get three) and ham that isn't salty at all. Great fried potatoes, by the way. The maple syrup is unlike anything I've ever purchased at the supermarket. Lunch and dinner are equally good, though I often take these meals at home these days. The only thing keeping me from giving five stars is the service. Many (though not all) of the wait staff don't seem particularly happy to be there, and it shows. Attentiveness and timeliness are good, it's just that they never make you feel welcome when you are there. If you read the policy signs on the wall as you enter the restaurant, you get the feeling that it's "their way or the highway". I guess I'm not used to seeing a dining establishment taking this attitude with paying customers. Plkease note that they do not accept credit cards.

I've grown up in Boyertown.... I grew up and got out. I come back to visit parents. There are many things I love about Boyertown and the small town feel, one of them is/was Savilles and its small town feel. I love that all the wait staff is horribly rude to you because they don't care. (I find it amusing and charming) What I have an issue with is the trip we made on Christmas Eve. It is a tradition at Savilles they only serve breakfast and they give you an added Christmas Eve Treat (of the beverage kind) We placed our orders and waited, we waited, we waited longer. at 30 mins we asked. We were told, "I don't run the grill don't ask me" (like I said charming) We watch the booth behind us, that was seated after us, eat and leave. More people were sat, ordered and ate. Still no food. We asked again, it had been an hour since we ordered. (We had to flag our waitress down and rudely ask her about our food... we were clearly being avoided.) "It's a small grill" was our response. Other people heard us asking and chimed saying, "I have seen it, it is a small grill. Did you order frech toast or pancakes, cause that will slow your order down!" The booth behind us was on their 3rd set of people, and these people were getting up and to pay their bill, we still had nothing and haven't seen the waitress for 20mins. We have now been waiting for over an 1 1/2 hours. No management was anywhere to be found. We left with full wallets, but empty stomachs, however we now know... you should only order eggs when it is busy. Even though pancakes and frech toast are on the menu, they really dont want you to order them.... It's a small grill!
