Diabetics at TGI Friday

If you're a diabetic, then you must be extra careful while dining at TGI Friday. Try the salad menu at TGI Friday to keep your sugar and sodium intake in check. Soups are great to keep you full and satisfied without munching on the unhealthy greased meat-based dishes on TGI Friday menu.

Foods to Avoid at TGI Friday for Diabetics:

Sugar and sodium intake are crucial if you have diabetes. While the salads are the best option for you at TGI Friday, it is recommended to avoid the Pecan-Crusted Chicken Salad containing over 1000 calories and 1,650mg sodium. Also, skip Warm Pretzels with Craft Beer-Cheese dipping sauce as it contains more than 3000mg sodium. It is wise to skip the dessert for diabetics, especially the Brownie Obsession topped with Vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, and pecans.

I have been coming to Friday's for many years and never leave hungry! I like the atmosphere and speediness of the food. Unfortunately the drinks that come from the bar tend to take some time. Our server was great. She was very friendly, explained the awesome endless apps, and gave us fantastic recommendations for entrée & dessert options. I am pretty sure her name is Kristen. I see a lot of not so good reviews here with my fellow yelpers and that just disappoints me. This place always meets the standards that are expected from TGI Friday's. This location is in a great spot and it is always clean and I like the way to is set up. All the servers or runners or managers also seem to help each other which is nice to see opposed to a whole restaurant having tension so thick you could cut it with a chain saw. That's always awkward, annoying, and unprofessional. And those are things that I do not witness here at Friday's. Thanks Kristen for the great service, professionalism, and yummy recommendations. Chase also introduced himself and was very helpful while running our food out to us. Great team work guys!!

Incomplete review because we left before we even got a chance to eat. Service is God-awful and we literally couldn't stand waiting anymore. #1: we stood in the lobby like 3 minutes before a hostess appeared. Instead some other staff member talked to someone else on the phone right in front of 4 waiting guests. #2: we waited 20 minutes outside for a table when there were maybe 1/4 open tables in the place. We did overhear an explanation from a hostess to another group of annoyed guests that they had a no-show and their manager couldn't make it in. Kind of crazy that two missing staff members would cripple a TGI Friday's on a Friday... #3: we were then seated and waited another 20 minutes while not 1 but 2 parties, one of four and one of eight, were both seated, greeted, and had their drinks brought to them while we sat completely forgotten by any staff. Then we left. I'm sorry is this the type of place where you have to literally stand up and object to your neglect before anybody pays attention to you? Long story short will never be coming back to this place. One star is one too many.

The food is decent, not great but it's decent for a chain. But the wait is ridiculous. We sat at our table of ten people for 45 minutes before we got our water, then it was another 30 minutes wait to get our food. The restaurant is not crowded either. With that said, I'd consider doing the 2 for $16 deal as the potstickers were pretty good.

You get here what you expect from a typical Fridays. Staff was friendly and nice. It wasn't a very busy night and after we finished our dinner the waitress did not rush us and let us sit. Mainly decided to write this review as to let the kitchen know not to use the entire romaine lettuce to make a salad. The white rooty tip of the romaine is not consumed by the general population should not be included in a salad. This wasn't just an accident that happened on my plate. I found multiple different ends pieces of the lettuce in my salad. Id rather you give me a smaller salad, it's annoying and makes the salad not very appetizing. Until that is fixed salad not recommended.

I am so disgusted with the service and professionalism of this location, if given the opportunity I don't think one star is even worth giving. On March 13th 2015 my boy-friend and I decided to come to this establishment to celebrate his graduation night and all of his recent achievements. Before placing our appetizers my friend had ordered a House Long Island Ice Tea (LIIT). As our waitres brought out the appetizer my friend had ordered another LIIT. After sharing a few appetizers our entrees came out and that's when my friend had ordered another LIIT. Towards the end of our meal and before wanting to order desert our waitress had asked us if we needed anything else and my friend asked for another LIIT and she softly said let me ask if they will "let" you have another one, confused she walked away and within' a few minutes a man I'm assuming was the manager came with the check and asked us if we needed anything else. We proceeded and told him that we had asked our waitess for another LIIT and didn't know what the problem was...and he proceeded to say how he couldn't serve us any more drinks due to the amount we have already ordered and left. Now, being a business owner myself I understand that "if" there were a 3 limit drink in the companies policy then their decision this night is understandable. But that wasn't the case. If my friend had acted ill mannered due to his alcohol consumption such as speaking sluggish, not being able to walk or stand I would understand that limiting his drinks is in his best intrest but again that definitely wasn't the case. We are adults and would like to be treated with the respect that we are responsible enough to know our limits. If there were any concern for my friend and his alcohol consumption they could of approached us more professionally. Such as, asking if my friend was driving or if he was okay. But both the waitress and manager fail to do so. Overall, I feel very upset over this situation and will be taking it to corporate. I will never return to this location and if your trying to enjoy your night and not be told what you can handle I suggest you don't come here as well!

So I know when you go here you get boxed/frozen food so the bar is low. The problem is that this place was so far below the bar it isn't even funny.... The server took forever to get drinks to us or even acknowledge that we were there and I had to go get my own silverware. Because she ran by without checking on us. Next the food came out wrong, my buddy got the wrong wings, finally when the entrees came out sizzling chicken and cheese was far from sizzling in fact it was a slice of American cheese under a chewy gross chicken breast. And the potatoes, well they had no taste and a bad texture. From there no sign of the waitress until I asked for the manager and her response was lackluster and his was as well.

They need a little help okay alot of help. Already spoke to district manager regarding the horrible horrible service.

This location has diminished, prices raised, portions lessened, and service disappeared. The past few times I've been there, there has always been an issues. (And the last two times they had less than 5 tables filled, as it was lunch time). The wait staff will disappear and now come back til they're serving the food, or giving ur check, as if you might not need anything else. And i dont know how many times I have to remind them even when I do ask for a refill, or something to be brought. Terrible!

So disappointed. Spicy Craft Beer Cheeseburger was mostly bun. A stale wanna be Brioche bun. Great tasting beef but to quote my husband "a Xerox copy probably had more meat". I love the Ginger Lime slaw but at the minute quantities the good parts getting lost behind the shadows of what could have been, I'll pass. The only value here is endless apps. But unlimited fried wings and potato skins isn't what I call a dinner. I'll be waiting TGI Fridays to get your act together.

$10 for a beer and ribs. Ribs are super tender and fall right off the bone. Had nachos and they also hit the spot. Right next to park casino. Show your park card and get $5 off your bill

Just like any other food franchise the food was A-Ok, the service was good though, we had a really nice waitress who I thought was very nice and you could tell she was a happy person! Me and my girlfriend both ordered the Spinach dip which, is delightful, but we know its not made on the premises, most likely it was frozen then heated to melt it, and the chips were dropped in the deep fryer. I ended up getting the Brisket which was some what fatty, with a side of the loaded fries and the macaroni an cheese. My girlfriend got a grilled chicken with a side of mash potatoes. All in all the service was good, I'm not one to go to man chain restaurants like this, but a person I work with gave us a coupon so i decided to use it.

My sister decided she wanted to go here for her birthday instead of the family's usual boring same old spot. ( thank goodness). It wasn't as packed since it was only Thursday. So we were seated very quickly near a window. After a long day of work, I ordered a frozen margarita which was perfect. (However, any person coming inside the restaurant had to deal with me making weird faces at them). All four of us ordered a different endless appetizer, which some how this made my father annoyed. After our waiter had put in our order, my father gave him a coupon. However the coupon doesn't work with the endless appetizers. My father was being very rude, which my sister and I did not appreciate. He was being somewhat rude to the waiter which made us believe our dad scared him because at the end (before we left) he put in another appetizer plate for each to take home (which they aren't supposed to do). The food and the appetizers were delicious. The burger I had for dinner was tasty and mouthwatering. I'm still really sorry for that waiter. My dad did give him a big tip though since that guy deserved it.

Ok honestly I downloaded the yelp app just to review this place. The food and drinks were fine but I could NOT get over the nerve of our server had. It was the end of the night, and I understand how that is. I'm a server myself and I've also worked as a restaurant manager. But that does not ever make it okay to treat your last table like garbage. Our server (I think her name was Olivia?) totally ignored us and didn't even ask me if I wanted another drink until I had already finished my food. She then told us she was sorry for not really tending to us because she had to make sure she was getting home somehow, as if it were our responsibility to get her home on time. Oh! And also while she was dropping off our food with another server the other server said "dude we are never getting out of here" which I'm sorry but that is ridiculous. We weren't even the last table in there! How rude.

Was in the area for a business trip. Walked here from the research facility just behind this TGI's. At that time, around July 2013, they were renovating the restaurant or something. Came in and they gave us a booth. Very friendly servers. I also think this is a reflection of the community as well. As for lunch, they had a lunch menu. I think I went with the burger. Real good stuff. Salty, but it's a good option for lunch.

Friday at 530 not busy at all burgers took way to long to come to our table like 25 minuets they were dry and not good at all also music way to loud had to yell at my wife so she could listen to me. bye bye wont be back here

Overall good, inexpensive food. I enjoy the atmosphere inside, but it can be noisy at times. Aside from perhaps a different arrangement of memorabilia on the wall, this location is essentially the same as other TGI Friday's restaurants. What keeps me coming back to this location however are the staff. They're always very friendly, talkative and go out of their way to help here.

Friday night ritual after playing pool with the guys. Caroline is awesome (unfortunately she doesn't work at this location anymore) food is always good and atmosphere is typical bar/grill and very friendly. Staff is excellent and knowledgable about the food and drinks they serve. Overall A great dining experience.

This TGI Friday's is adjacent to Street Road but enter from Richlieu Road using the entrance it shares with a hotel. Parking was adequate when I was there on Saturday night. In fact, I was able to park a stone's throw from the front door, which may mean it is not that popular. The dining area is a bit too dark. I asked for a table with a brighter lamp because otherwise, I wouldn't even be able to read the menu. Aside from that, service was good enough. The server suggested the Stripes Card freebie even before I thought of asking, and then it wasn't too long before the wedge salad and entree (Parmesan Crusted Crab Flounder) arrived. The food itself didn't have terribly much flavor but it was about average for this restaurant chain. All in all, it was worth a stop because I was in the area. It probably is not a restaurant I would seek out and travel to, but it is decent.

Came here with the boyfriend and his friends for a double date night. Nikki and I tried the Pink Punk Cosmo, which is a very interesting cocktail that requires the bartender to pour the liquor concoction into a cosmo glass filled with cotton candy. Pretty darn awesome if you ask me! Then we had our typical 3 for $12.99 dinners (with green bean fries, various entrees, and cheesecake) while his friends had fried shrimp and mashed potatoes. Luckily for us, his friend had a 20% off coupon for the table so it was a great deal cheaper than what it would have been (those drinks really add up!) All in all, it was pretty good service and pretty good food, I'd stop by again if I was in the area.

We ate here over the weekend after we saw the Jack Daniel commercials. It is the closest Friday's to us. The restaurant is tucked away a bit so I thought is would be empty. But this place was bustling with people! The Hostesses were so nice and clean cut girls (opposed to some other restaurants we have been to) we sat at the bar until our table was ready and the drinks were great. I was so glad we went because the Jack Daniels burger was FABULOUS! My only bad comment would have to be the wait! This place was packed! But it could just be because the food was good :)

We come here sometimes, but prefer to do take-out. The service is kind of hit-or-miss, some were really nice, some were really rude. The TGI Friday policy on coupons is always annoying but we don't push the issue or anything. We've had ants on our tables twice, and the menu is always sticky. Some of the food is good and some is just okay. And the place is usually really loud. But it's a nice place to just go out to and get a drink and some food. The jack daniels bbq burger is delicious!

A Friday's is a Friday's, right? While generally true, I enjoy the bar fare here and the layout of the restaurant. The bartenders are generally affable and service is always timely. This is a great place to stop by for happy hour, it's very busy and you can usually strike up a conversation with a fellow patron within a manner of minutes.

After a long work day and being stuck in a 3-hour traffic jam, I decided to swing in here to veg out and grab some grub to wind down. Because of the traffic I was in a crappy mood, so I came in with an edge. Anyway, I sat at the bar and got waited on right away - service was great. Then I ordered the burger with the Jack Daniel's sauce - woah that stuff is good. The burger itself is nothing special, however, the Jack Daniel's sauce is what makes it. After all - it's a chain restaurant burger. Long story short - it was a solid experience and for the top service I gotta give it 4 stars.

Still one star, only because I could not give it half a star. Departmental lunch ended with 2 out of 3 people who ordered shrimp being out of work for a day and a half with food poisoning. Endless lunch is endless only because it takes waiter 20 minutes to get you a refil of soup.

First time in a long time at TGI Fridays. I remember it being tasteless. This time around the food was actually good. The steak was cook as requested and not overly done. The mash didnt taste like it was made from powder either. I can see they care about what they put out and not just any kind of slop. The dessert was very good. I had gotten the cheese cake, even though I didnt need to eat it lol. Happy Eatings!!

FYI: this place is better than the one in queens, ny I go to when I'm in nyc in terms of the atmosphere. we like jack daniel sauce and the bar atmosphere to celebrate the end of work week. What i don't like with TGI Friday's is the dessert selection. It's lame. And that's why I always skip the desset - it's not worth the money. They need to come up with better healthy and delicious dessert. And you don't have to ask 'would you care for dessert?' or How 'bout dessert?'

Years ago I would have given Friday's 4-5 stars. Other than your family owned restaurants, they were a new game in town! They started a lot of things.. chains, cool new appetizers, a huge center bar, an American menu with variety. A great place to pick up or get picked up ;+} They own the claim to much, like their Potato Skins even though since then, we have had better. Their Jack Daniel's grill items were and still are a huge hit. I used to love their burgers, but there are too many better burger places now. I love their Tostados Nacho's, a layered creation of ground beef, refried beans, chips, salsa, jalapenos and cheese, served with guacamole and sour cream. Yum. The first Friday's was opened in NYC by a perfume salesman, in 1965 and used a chalkboard for it's menu. The revenues for the first year totaled 1 million dollars! It took him five years to open his second restaurant in Memphis, Tn. Today it is a worldwide chain and 600 of them are in the United States.

I went here with my dad and it was a bad experience. It took ten min just to seat us and the place wasn't packed. After seating us, two waitresses came over because one was new and didn't know what to do. They took our orders but took forever to understand exactly what we wanted, we didn't even want anything complicated. The one waitress just couldnt understand the other, wtf. My dad ordered pasta that originally comes with chicken, but he doesnt eat meat so he asked for extra pasta instead of the chicken. I ordered moterzalla sticks and chicken fingers. His pasta was small and looked no where near like they had put extra pasta in it. So bascically we paid for a full dish but only got half. The moterzalla sticks were nasty, and tasted cold. The chicken fingers tasted horrible, like they weren't cooked all the way. We had also gotten fries that were cold. The waitresses didn't come back at all to check up on us, we had to flag them down to get our check. It was expensive for no reason, the food and service sucked. Don't bother eating here, you won't finish your food because of how cold it is, and you'll waste your money for nothing.

I've been going to TGI Friday's for quite a few years. I do like their salads alot. It's a clean restaurant and you never have to wait to long for service. I don't eat chicken fingers much anymore but they do have very good ones here with different sauces you can get for them. I rate this on the level of applebee's.

I would like to preface this review by saying, I love the fridays franchise. The Fridays by the Cherry hill mall is one of my favorite places to stop before a movie. On to the review: My brother and I had some work to get done and were on a tight deadline so we decided to go to Fridays to get a quick bite and a drink to get our minds back on track. Although my favorite new restaurant is right down the road (Toscana 52) it was around dinner time and the place is really busy and, like I said, we were in a hurry. We arrived at Fridays and squeezed in a place at the bar. The bar was SMOKEY. I say that as a warning, BUT I don't hold it against them since smoking is still allowed in restaurants in that area and to take any stars off for that would be unfair. The bar was crowded, but lacked any kind of a warm feeling. Unlike other Friday's I've been to, the ambiance was dark and uninviting. They had a full bar and the bar is BIG. With a full bar they had 2 bar tenders and a barback(I think that's what they're called. A gopher type person). We sat at the bar for about 20 minutes BEFORE the bartender took our order. His service sounded something like this, "Want something to drink?" Now, I understand that you can get busy and if I was at a bar in philly I wouldn't think twice about it. But seriously. It's a bar/restaurant and must be held to a higher standard. I ordered a Sangria and my brother ordered a long island iced tea. The sangria was watered down and tasted like cool aid. My brother had no complaints with his LIT. For entree's, we got the Fajita and the fish taco (fish taco for him obviously. If you've read any of my reviews, you know I hate fish). My fajita was sub par and it took around 45 minutes to get there. My brother looked particularly green and was unable to finish his fish taco. I assumed this was the case because it was a fish taco. I mean, come on. Does that even sound appetizing? But my brother assured me he had it at other Friday's and liked it. In short, I reccomend you stop by your local Fridays for a quick bite, or a nice drink. Just so long as you don't live near this one.

About TGI Friday

TGI Friday is a casual dining American restaurant chain founded in 1965. The term “TGI” is an acronym for Thank God It's and together the name of the restaurant is often announced as Thank God It's Friday. Over the years of its existence, the TV commercials and other advertisement streams have also twisted the phrase a bit and used it as Thank Goodness It's Friday. The restaurant serves alcoholic beverages primarily. However, they are also known for their low-carbohydrate and low-fat menu items to promote a healthy lifestyle. TGI Friday also offers gluten-free items on its menu for those with gluten intolerance.

Besides the cool name, TGI Friday also has an interesting background story of its origin. The founder of the restaurant Alan Stillman lived in a New York-based neighbourhood full of a young crowd, especially girls from the airline and fashion industry. He started the first TGI Friday restaurant in New York in the hope of meeting single women as there weren't any such public place for young men and women to meet. He invested $5000 on his own and borrowed another $5000 from his mother to buy a bar named The Good Tavern and renamed the premise to Thank God It's Friday, inspired from an expression during his time at Bucknell University.
