Some of the best pizza you'll find in the valley

The service is sub-par at best. The staff hang out in the back and only come up front if they are taking an order or bringing out an order. As a dine-in customer, it felt impersonal. I got a calzone and it was just ok. The crust was good, the cheese was good, and the meat was good. However, there were raw red onions inside (WTF?!? - it should have been cooked yellow/sweet onions) and the mushrooms were from the can (should have been cooked fresh mushrooms or none at all). The tomato sauce for dipping was not seasoned at ALL. The plain white pizza that another family was eating looked really good, though. So, if you go here, get a whole fresh pizza (not one of the slices sitting on the counter that look like they've been sitting there for hours). Otherwise, this place isn't worth your money.

One of the worst meals I've ever had. I had three options to choose from that delivered to my hotel, and boy, did I choose poorly. Pasta fagioli soup was completely tasteless, and it had been microwaved in the styrofoam container they sent it in. The container was warped and puffed out, very obviously reheated. This is not only lazy but also potentially toxic. Even if I had wanted to, I could not eat it at all, as the container literally began to disintegrate in my hands and had to be dumped into the trash. Fried calamari was rubbery and the marinara was just OK. I can't really judge a place by a fried item that's been delivered, but I don't expect this is much better freshly made. Mario salad was absolutely drenched in water. They made no attempt to drain it or dry it before putting it into the clamshell salad box. Just gross. I ordered from here expecting your average suburban pizzeria fare. What I got was way, way, way below average. If you're staying in Allentown and it's one of your options, get the Chinese instead.

Ordered a pizza here today and it was good. Nothing about it blew me away. The crust was nice and crisp. The sauce was the write amount. I would have liked a tad more cheese and a tad more well done. The service was pretty fast and somewhat friendly. The place seemed clean! I like the use of real dishes. The way things are run leaves an awkward tipping situation if you eat in. You order and pay, then have a seat. After they bring out your food on real dishes. When you are done eating you feel unsure what to do. Ultimately you leave the dishes then feel bad if you don't have cash tip. To sum up, I'd certainly return if I was in the area. It's convenient!

This review is for Yelp itself. How can you say your unbiased when someone post a negative review and you hide it under "Not Recommended" I gave an honest review and it gets kicked somewhere where nobody will see it. I have read the blog where this has happened to many people. Take your site down if your not going to be honest. Makes me think now that you do cater to the business owners. I have found many reviews on YELP, not just from Mario's where family members are giving four and five stars to boost the restaurants ratings so why don't you modify your software to pull those out instead of removing the honest reviews.

I always go to Mario's for pizza, and stromboli. Their crust is great and the sauce is really good too. But the last few times I went I was disappointed. I ordered extra blue cheese and they gave me a reduced fat or low calorie blue cheese for wings...and the pizza was really dark...I was really disappointed that they can't stay consistent.

Mediocre food with mediocre service. There are better places in the area.

I ordered a pizza with pepperoni, meatballs, olives, mushrooms. It is a great pizza at a fair price. I'm very satisfied with my purchase and it definitely is better than the pizza hut couple doors down.

There isn't much to be desired here at all! I ordered a pizza for delivery: Pepperoni, extra cheese, mushrooms. 45 minutes later I got mushrooms and nothing else. The guy I talked to repeated my order when I placed it at verbatim, yet when I called back, he said he "didn't hear me say pepperoni or extra cheese, but at least he didn't charge me for them." Unfortunately, he did. So I had to file a chargeback with my bank. As far as the pizza was concerned, what I actually DID get was not great. It's on par with Dominos. That does not say much at all. I probably would have been happier with Dominos because at least they would have gotten the order right. But those people on here giving this place high marks for the quality of their food are either associated with this place themselves, or have never had good pizza in their lives. The sauce is from a can (you can taste it), and the rest of the ingredients that I actually did receive were just as substandard.

First impression was that both employees were sitting on there asses texting. Place is somewhat unorganized, for instance, two employees on the cell phone and a case of OJ half put away and half on the counter. Pizza out on counter and no one knew for how long. You need to know that! Pizza was pretty good except I ordered green peppers and he put on hot peppers. But good pizza and the workers where not friendly.

I enjoy the food, but the employees always sound miserable and act like they don't want to be there. If the customer service was better I would always come here

We just had the pizza on our way through town. Solid. Nice staff. Not fancy, but comfortable & clean. Good road trip stop with kids.

I think Mario's has the best pizza in the area! I agree with the previous review that they try to be everything, but stick with the pizza, it really is the best! And, I'm really picky!

Been here a few times and I've concluded it's a greasy fake pizza shop that tries to be everything, but can't live up to it. The pizza looks like something from Sbarros, the prices are way too high, the service is slow and unfriendly. There are a lot of other places to eat in the area that are better.
