Conveniently located across from the PPL center, this bagel shop serves good food with a relaxing atmosphere. We went when it was not crowded and the food came out quickly. The burgers were nicely done and generous in size. The Jennah's funky chicken was very tasty, recommended. Two thumbs up. Next time we'll actually try the bagels.

+2 because the food is really good. Please, if you state that you're open be open! Other than that they do a great job and the bagels are great!

Who knew? Coming through town this morning, we needed a quick bite and decided to grab a bagel at Johnnys. What a great surprise! Big, clean place, huge menu, friendly service. Not only did the food taste great, but was beautifully served with hand carved strawberries and bananas! Definitely not your average bagel place. We will be back.

I travel to Allentown for work sometimes and this place is right around the corner of the office. I have been two or three times for breakfast and have always had a great experience. The guy behind the counter, Hector, was always friendly and did a great job on our dishes. The menu is very extensive and the portions (at least for breakfast) are pretty large. I really liked the plain sausage, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich; but I equally enjoyed the nutella crepes. I will continue coming here for breakfast when I am in town for work.

Better than superb! Friendly staff, savory and flavorful food, fast and courteous service! I got the sheriff sandwhich, the best ever with fresh mozerella, spinach, and chicken (Hot Pannini).

I LOVE this place. I've only had their breakfast, and it's been so good every time. Their bagels are very good and their portion sizes are large. Not to mention the very funny and friendly staff! Johnnys is worth the trip downtown.

My family and I have frequented the Main Street Bethlehem location of Johnny's Bagels and Deli for years. So when another Johnny's opened up 5 block from our house, we were thrilled! Their bagels are always fresh (personal favorites--spinach and herb, poppyseed, and blueberry) and their specialty cream cheeses are to die for (personal favorite--garlic and herb). They have a wide selection of bagels, omelettes, sandwiches, burgers, gyros, soups, coffee, specialty drinks--you name it, this deli has it. I frequent this location almost every week. I've never had a bad experience at Johnny's; the staff is friendly although sometimes during the breakfast and lunch rush they may be a little busy and preoccupied but that's understandable. All in all, Johnny's is the best thing that has happened to Downtown Allentown.

Yummie Food....but I was a bit turned off today, when I saw the cook turn around, and his pants were below his waist/buttocks. YUCK!!!! This is a restaurant! NOT Lehigh County Prison.......Maybe Dept. of Health should have been called!

Today, I went here for lunch. I got a turkey club on a plain bagel. The place was packed, but they were not organized for the crowd. When I got my sandwich, there was way too much lettuce on it, so I went to take some off. Well, there was wet dirt on the lettuce! I was so disgusted! I brought it back to the guy behind the counter, and he didn't say anything. He brought me another sandwich in a to go container, which I did not eat because I was (and still am) throughly disgusted.

I love me a good Bagel, and Johnny's delivers. They have a wonderful assortment of sandwiches and salads, some on bagels, others on traditional breads. They also have good coffee. It gets a bit busy at lunch during the week, so get there a few minutes before 12 to be sure you get served quickly. Lots of tables and chairs too. I think they need to clean up their menu. Once I ordered salmon cream cheese and got a big delicious piece of smokes salmon with lettuce, onions and all that. Wonderful, so when I went to order it again, I got the cream cheese. Confusing.

Always great food and fast service! The sandwich options are plentiful and delicious. I am yet to have an order there I did not like. Also on a side note, the coffee reminds me of some high end brews I have had in NYC.

We have been looking for a new Sunday casual breakfast place and we love Johnny's Bagels in downtown Bethlehem but hate to make the drive. So were we excited to find out that there was a location near the new arena in Allentown which is much closer to us. So it hurts that we had to say we were disappointed with our visit. Pros: The bagels were as good as we are used to getting at the Bethlehem location and the menu selection was great! The guys that were behind the counter were friendly and funny. And the coffee was good and they had they had salt bagels (both a huge win for us!). Cons: The back kitchen and workspace which was easily visible from the counter was atrociously cluttered and disorganized; we couldn't see anything dirty (and that's why we still ate our order) but it was so messy that we couldn't imagine everything was clean and sanitized. The seating area looked surprisingly rundown given that we were under the assumption that it opened just this year, we would have guessed that it was in place a couple years already. Again just adds to the question if it was all as clean as it should be. And the staff was eating behind the counter within eyesight of the seating area during downtime. (personal pet peeve) All in all, we liked the food, the staff, and the location. But the physical facility of the restaurant itself was really disappointing and the state of the kitchen does not encourage us to visit again. If you love the original Johnny's, you will probably be disappointed in everything but the food itself (sans being concerned about how clean the kitchen is). So if you are in a pinch, go for it...but there are two other breakfast options on the other points of their intersection alone. And there are like 4-5 other breakfast/lunch options within 1-2 blocks. Just sayin...
