Very good local pizza joint worth a stop on the way through Yamhill. Good choices of local wine and beer as well.
This is my favorite pizza in wine country. I've been here several times and it is consistently excellent. We happily drive 30 minutes from home just to eat here when we're in the mood for good pizza. The vegetables are incredibly fresh, and many, if not all of the meats are locally sourced and taste outstanding. I highly recommend this place.
Gooood pizza. Had the hot & spicy and the zippys combo. Pizza crust was good and toppings were fresh with not to much sauce. Very friendly atmosphere and pleasant staff even though they were busy. Definately going to come back.
I just had a breakfast meeting at the Trask Mountain Outpost with a business associate of mine. The food was great and so was the service. You will feel right at home in this home town atmosphere.
Went out to to this place friends of mine had a GIG here!! The p!ace was packed the staff was wonderful! They were able to keep up with the high demand. I left my very expensive Versace prescription sunglasses sitting on a bench! I called the next day panicked and spoke to Shawn. I live about 2hours away and it would have been very difficult to retrieve them. Shawn said he would pop them in the mail tomorrow saving the day ! Thank you Trask and Shawn for finding them and sending them to me!!!
We used to love going to the Outpost because the food was awesome. But things have changed over the past year or so and now all you get is typical food service-type fare. There is nothing special about it. The burgers are good, but not great primarily because the beef is preformed frozen patties. They would be doing themselves a service to buy their meat locally at Carlton Meat Packing. This is very typical diner food. Service is usually good and speedy, but so is this food so I know it definitely doesn't consist of much quality. The owner, Duane, is a very nice guy. I hope he takes his patrons comments seriously and makes some changes.
I stayed in one of the shacks with the family. It was rustic but hey. Its a ranch. Got to drop a fishing line, ride a horse, and take some amazing walks. The kitchen served good old American food and everyone was fat and happy. Later we went back to the shack, played cards and drank whiskey. Not too bad.
Horses! This was a great place for a one hour ride. Through the foothills of the coast range, crossing the Trask river a couple of times . . . really beautiful. Super friendly wrangler, family-owned ranch, affordable. We were late for our reserved time slot due to bad traffic, and they sent the other riders ahead and we got our own small group with our own wrangler, and they didn't make us feel bad for being late. Very nice folks and a beautiful place to ride.
Bad horse flies this year, but still a wonderful place to ride. Watch for poker rides hosted there over the summer or haul in to camp or use for a day. Done in roasting heat and pouring rain - always a good time.
