Sushi Avenue Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

This is by far the best sushi I have had in Portland. I was kinda worried cause it's hidden by a 7-11 but I read the reviews. So glad I came the service was fast very intimate. I love it I'm coming back tomorrow.

Our regular spot for lunch. Clean place, friendly staff, good food. Our favorites are the teriyaki chicken, the house salad, shishito peppers, and the Red Thai.

Delicious sushi and great service, what more do you need?!? Sushi Ave definitely satisfied our sushi craving! Thank you. Our Favs: Red Tie and Hurricane!

Amazing sushi, I live in NE Portland and I have literally driven to Wilsonville on several occasions just to get sushi! I love the red tie and the volcano, must have!

I ate there a month ago based off the reviews. Surprising it was good but rolls could be larger. Everything sushi wise I ate was fresh and good. The decor needs improvement seats are uncomfortable. Other than that I would defiantly return. Prices were very reasonable and a nice variety of rolls.

For the fish and the service I give it four stars. The special fish selection of the day is a great way to go. The sashimi lunch bento is another good choice. I have to deduct a star because of the ramen. It's not japanese ramen. The plain ramen has broccoli, carrot, and onion. For $10 with a roll on the side, I expect a bit more. The broth was too spicy, not savory and salty. No pork slices, egg, fishcake, or nori. I'd love to see a Tokyo ramen special. Shoyu with pork belly or something authentic. Or just take it off the menu.

Saucy! In both the physical and sassy sense. Trekking from Portland is worth it for the Oregon, Canby, and Geisha rolls, which all have delicious sauces in their own right. It's not purist sushi, by any means, but it hits the spot when you want full-flavored, fresh sushi. As previously mentioned, the food is by no means fast, but worth the wait.

This is the best Sushi place in town hands down! The owners are very nice, the food is amazing and its reasonably priced. We frequent Sushi Avenue as they provide great options like soy paper and customize sushi to your liking! Love the small town family restaurant!

I was excited to find an actual sit down Japanese restaurant in Wilsonville as opposed to the ever growing swarm of sushi "tracks" inundating our area. As for the Sushi Avenue - I suggest you find a different route. I sat at the counter (the single customer to do so) and was shocked to see the Hoshizaki filled with unappetizing bits of fish. I mean everything was "unfresh", even the garnish. I was asked to write my order down. While this might make it easy to keep track of who orders what, I was the only person at the counter. Plus, and more importantly, I usually chose to eat my sushi in a particular order. Like tasting wine, you don't want to blow out your palette on some dynamite something-or-other before you eat the more subtle items. At any rate, I filled out the "check the box" order form handed it to the chef who went to work producing my order.Rather than use the unappetizing bits from the Hoshizaki, he reached into the under counter cooler and pulled out some pre-cut pieces of fish. These looked as unappetizing if not more than the display case. My order consisted of one each - Hamachi Sake Saba Amaebi & Ikura with Quail Egg. To say it was terrible would be kind. I was polite enough to eat it all as it was not unedible. But I was amazed that this trained chef would serve up such unsavory product. If you order a roll you may not see the produce and the taste may be covered up by the sauces and garnishes. But nigiri is unforgiving. It's a chunk of fish on a ball of rice. That's it. You don't skimp, stretch, repurpose or recycle anything for nigiri sushi. So if this was his best product, I would be concerned about what might make it into the rolls or even the hot table food. Hamachi was grey, tasted fishy. Sake looked good but had a slight "slime" on it and tasted of nothing. The Saba was cut too thin and broke apart and was sauced with something too sweet for my taste. This was the best of the meal - Amaebi lacked flavor, the heads were overcooked, tiny and unceremoniously laid on the plate next to the sushi. Ikura looked brownish red and had absolutely no pop in the eggs. They were mushy. The quail eggs were fine. So $26.00 and change later I was disappointed to learn that Sushi Avenue was a wrong turn and short trip to Crazy Sushi in Sherwood was necessary to get the taste out of my mouth. It's too bad too. These people are trying but have missed the mark completely. Just for completeness, the service was excellent. Polite, attentive but not obnoxious. Water and tea was well tended and allowed to get more than half empty. Just wish the Sushi was better - it can't get much worse.

'Wow!' Is about how I can sum it up. Also, I mean that it as a good 'WOW,'. First off my wife likes sushi for lunch and was not a fan of sushi for dinner until now. Their variety of specialty rolls gave the wide selection of ingredients and textures to really make a well rounded meal. Their appetizers seem very good as we tried two of the chicken dishes to start off with. All sushi is made to order and everything is done in the front of house. The service was friendly upon arrival and frequently checked in with us throughout the meal. I will definitely be back within the week with my daughter for some lunch. This was the first time I ever had sushi where I was truly TASTING everything that was in it. I wrote on my check-in that this looked like a hidden gem and I was right. UPDATE: I ate lunch here with my daughter and they were once again 'Fabulous!' Very consistent and quick with their freshly made sushi rolls.

Very friendly staff. Nice hidden wilsonville sushi place. Everything I had was very tasty and fresh. Can't ask for much more. Don't expect huge sized rolls diameters but they give you plenty of food. I had five rolls and was just right. (For me) spicy salmon hand rolls are great. Spider roll was very good and the spicy tuna crunch was good as well.

The best sushi I have had to this day. Excellent service, and some unique menu items such as smoked salmon and cilantro.

I met Sean and Grace on their first week opening this restaurant and have been coming here regularly since. They are both wonderful people and deserve all the praise in the world for running one of the top 3 sushi joints in Oregon. Their attention to detail, professionalism, and genuine love for what they do is exhibited in their product. The ambiance is clean and calming. The sushi makes me feel good the way its supposed to. It's clean, fresh, and inventive. I've tried 85% of the menu and never been disappointed. Make sure to always ask about the specials as you never know what treat might slip by. I highly recommend the volcano as it has baked crab on top, mmmmmmm. Dynamite is also yummy. The Oregon coast albacore is amazing. You really can't go wrong for whatever you like. 5 Stars all day everyday! Wish there was a higher rating available. Thank you Sean and Grace for everything you continue to do.

We go here at least twice a week now. Highly recommend this restaurant, whether you're a sushi expert or new to Japanese food. This is just a great neighborhood place. Good balance of flavors, fried items not too heavily breaded, their cuts are clean and well done, nice garnishes and great presentation. So happy this place is close by! Owner's Sean and Grace are almost always there, and Teru the sushi chef is fantastic. Service is always great, Kesa and Sarah are always smiling. Our favorite things to order: Oh Sean's scallop appetizer, cucumber salad, Byrne's Tower, Canby roll, Kristin Town roll, Sushi pizza -- and whatever nigiri we're craving, it's great here. Of the extensive selection, we've been through many of the rolls, only two did we not like -- others we all enjoyed. Like any good sushi place, be sure to check out what is special. The albacore they've had for the last week has been amazing....

This is the hottest sushi restaurant in Wilsonville. It's packed with waiting on Saturday night! They have an extensive sashimi menu section for the Paleo crowd, and the best hamachi roll I've ever found called Sexy Yellowtail with green onions cilantro and cucumber.

  • Stacey L.

It's my first time here and it was better than expected. The service is great and the food is good for the price!! The roll on the right is the Kristin Town, also ON POINT! Love it! Will definitely come back next time I'm in the area! (: The only thing that bothered me was the fact that the tempura in the rolls weren't hot. Also the chicken udon I ordered was somewhat disappointing because the chicken was previously frozen, and you could tell by the hard and chewy consistency. I didn't bother eating any of it. Other than that, everything else was really pleasing and fresh! The seaweed salad was also delicious as an appetizer!

Hands down the best sushi place for miles! Fresh and delicious. Always wonderfully attentive service. It has everything you'd want from a high quality sushi place, but it is not over priced! We love this place!

Ok, so maybe going on the establishment's Anniversary Night where the sushi was 50% off all day was not the best of choices, but meh. My brother in law suggested we hit up Sushi Ave because it actually had great sushi, the fact that it was all on sale was just a coincidence. Well, the place was PACKED! Our little party of 3 had to wait almost a half hour before any seating opened up. Once we got in, it was still a pretty long wait for drinks, then appetizers, then main dishes, but for the amount of people in there - I think they did remarkably well. All total, I think we ordered 7 rolls that we shared amongst ourselves. We each had our favorites, but nothing was bad. Every roll was fresh, well prepared, and very aesthetically pleasing. The gyozas were very good, I think they went the fastest! Will certainly go again on a not-so-crowded night!

Tried the Oregon, Willsonville and Holiday rolls. All three were excellent. My husband and I couldn't decide which was better so decided to have all three again next time! The sunomomo was just okay. Everything else was excellent. Highly recommended.

Fresh, tasty and fast. Had the Oregon, holiday, and Wilsonville rolls. All three were very good. My husband had the ribs. Came out sizzling over veggies - nice flavor and presentation. We will be back!

Sushi avenue is by far my favorite sushi place. I've been to many many sushi restaurants and this place blows them away! Friendly staff, always clean and fresh ingredients daily. Prices are a little spendy, but you get what you pay for.....deliciousness!

Cute place is strip center. Friendly attentive service. Good reco's. Very clean and fresh. Nice bar seating. Rolls were good. Hawaiian and Sexy Yellowtail. Several pictures added.

My family and I have enjoyed Sushi Avenue for 2 years. We've always had great service and delicious food. Today, we arrived and by the time we got inside, our table was ready with what we normally start with: 2 green teas, 2 waters, 1 fork, and 1 set of chopsticks. Low sodium soy sauce? We'll get it shortly. Nothing like feeling special upon arrival. Today, having the tender Blue Fin Tuna, juicy yellowtail collar, and staple sashimi bento.

Really good sushi! You forget they are located in a strip mall. The service was also good and the sushi chefs were great. I'll be back.

I am not a Sushi fan but my wife sure is, so I get to go to many different Sushi places all over. Hands down this place is the best so far in the Portland area. The server Kessa is awesome and so is the Dragon roll. My wife loves this place so we come here often and now I have ventured into other rolls too. I am still not a Sushi lover but it is thankfully good here.

This is an excellent place to fill a sushi craving! The staff was friendly and attentive. Also, the quality you get for the price is great. The next time we travel down to Woodburn for outlet shopping, stopping by this place is so worth it!

We had been in Mexico for 6 months and craving amazing Sushi. My husband even scouted the restaurant before we decided to go in. We were both greeted pleasantly in Japanese and in English. The restaurant was clean, cozy and had a warm and inviting atmosphere. We ordered sexy tuna - perfectly blended flavors of white tuna, avocado and pongi sauce. We also ordered ocean trout - which after eating I told my husband to save his for dessert - it was that fresh and sensational. We also ordered the volcano - baked real crab and ? I don't remember, it was all fantastic. We will mark this as a must return.

Probably the best best Restaurant in Wilsonville, and also the best sushi I've had about anywhere. Tons of great options and the freshest fish I've had in the state. Really friendly staff, I love coming here and go anytime I can.

I am so surprised this place has such good reviews! If you want sushi, go over to Sushi track- you can order fresh rolls there! Or drive 10 minutes into Sherwood, and have Crazy sushi! I went back here, and got an order to go. Just a rainbow with cream cheese. I think it maybe had 8 pieces? It was the smallest roll of sushi I have seen, and was falling apart, and did not taste fresh whatsoever. Not sure why I returned, but will not return again.

Sushi Avenue is one of the best sushi restaurants around. The food is wonderful, the people are top notch, prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is very pleasing for a night out without the kids! It is a real community type restaurant. No matter how long it has been since our last visit, they always remember our name.

    (5)
  • Allegra P.

Love being able to stop in for lunch with the kids. When I'm craving sushi, they eat the kids Bento Box for $6.95 that includes teriyaki chicken, rice, apple juice, & an orange slice.

I've eaten sushi all up and down the West Coast, and this is my absolute favorite. Amazing that we have such an excellent sushi chef right here in Wilsonville. Don't be deceived by the unassuming strip mall location. You'll be delighted by the beautiful presentation, perfect execution, high-quality ingredients and inventive flavors. My avorite rolls are Kristen Town and Byrne's Tower, while my son favors Canby and Red Tie. The Super Crunch is a little awkward to eat but very tasty. Weve liked everything we've tried. On a rainy day, order Tempura Undon, and be warmed by a steaming bowl of thick, tender noodles in an unusually tasty broth and flavorful garnish, alongside crispy tempura that's light and crunchy, never greasy, with perfectly tender vegetables. Be sure to check out the specials. Hostess, wait staff and chef are warm and friendly, attentive, and always willing to offer recommendations. You're greeted and treated like a dear friend and honored guest at a family meal. Always a treat to dine there!

This place has some of the best sushi ever and prices are responsible for the quality that you get. I just tried the Hurricane roll and it was to die for. Every time I go I try something new because I know I won't be disappointed. The restaurant is fairly small but the atmosphere is good.

    (5)
  • Jamie B.

We have tried many different sushi restaurants and we always go back to Sushi Avenue. The sushi is always fresh and delicious. The yakisoba is the best I've had as well. It's not fancy but if you are looking for a nice selection of rolls to choose from, the menu is far from boring, and you will not be disappointed. Prices are good, service is good, food is excellent!

Had seen reviews on yelp and stopped in to try! I'm a sushi novice, however, LOML is an expert! I loved it and so did he! Great food, friendly staff, reasonable prices!!

I've come here very frequently in the last few years, mostly for take out since our baby was born. My wife and I are huge fans of fish. We've been to all the expensive places in the city, and still prefer a few over Sushi Avenue. But this is a real hidden gem and I would definitely come here even if we didn't live so close by. My only complaint is that too many rolls contain shrimp tempura or are cooked/fried. But they are still very good. The sashimi has always been fresh and well prepared. I've never experienced 'fishy' fish thus far. Their agedashi tofu is top notch and is probably the best in Portland. The wait staff are all very cool and friendly, including the owner Sean, who is very down to earth. They have great Hamachi Kama, and I love their tuna heaven and salmon heaven. It's too bad they are located in a strip mall and may get overlooked by some. However, that just means that there is less wait for me!

This is my favorite spot for the lunch and dinner. It's been years for sort of 'much like a deli something interior' rather than a sushi bar despite their excellent food. But, this time when I visited them, wow~ they totally changed. They have a great atmosphere with more cozy and more open, in fact it looks like they have more seats, I guess. They still have good sushi and friendly service, with a upgraded atmosphere. Recommend regular people, you should check it out !

Our favorite sushi place in south portland! Nice staff, fresh ingredients, don't go to tracks!!! Go here! It's great!

  • Emily E.

I had really only been to sushi tracks before coming to this place. I came here with my friend and we ordered two rolls. The dragon roll was delicious and very memorable. We sat at the bar and were able to see the full layout of the fish and assorted seafood. The area was clean and the employees were very helpful when answering our questions and making recommendations. I wish it wasn't in a strip mall, (like everything else in Wilsonville) but this place is truly a hidden gem.

    (4)
  • Louise K.

Still our very favorite sushi spot! Sean, the owner is wonderful; makes his own sauces and they are amazing. Try the Samurai roll, the Romeo and Juliette roll and the Summer Lady roll. All top notch. Do not understand the negative reviews; we have always had first class food here!

  • Patrick C.

Funny little shop in Wilsonville. So I like broiled mackerel, and ordered it, it was totally awesome! full meal for 11 dollars, soup salad and a mound of stir-fried veggies But it turns out I can now buy it frozen and broil it at home and it's also awesome. So I might not be back.

  • Heather F.

Love the food! Sushi is probably my favorite food and Sushi Ave does it right! Great prices, great fish and great service. I've gone many times and I've never been disappointed (except once when I got there and they were closed).

  • Craig G.

How can you not give this place 5 stars. I have yet to be disappointed in the awesome restaurant. It's like an amazing experience every time I go because I try something new each time and I always leave with a new favorite roll. The quality of the food they use is excellent and the tastes are authentic. You can tell there is care and thought put into making the food. To me that quality is hard to find. If you like sushi and Japanese food in general you have to try it out, you won't be disappointed.

    (5)
  • Wilson V.

Most of the food is good. Atmosphere is great. Service is great. But, stay away from the tempura or anything fried. I feel ill today, and disappointed, because I liked everything else about the place. However, with how I'm feeling today, I feel like I ate rotten vegetables and shrimp that was either fried in too much oil or old oil or both. Stay away from anything fried and you'll be fine.

  • Jen K.

I've been coming here since they opened and at first I was worried if they'd be able to make it. After all, this location in a strip mall has had a lot of turnover and in the early days it looked more like a Mexican joint than a Japanese restaurant. But a year later and I'm happy to see that they've found their niche in Wilsonville and it has become one of my top lunch spots in town. I've been three times in the last month alone and I'm continually impressed by their fast, friendly service. I really enjoy sushi but rarely order it here because I just can't pass up their bento boxes for lunch. Spicy chicken is my current favorite although I've also enjoyed ordering their specials when it includes the spicy ahi tuna rolls. When a table places a large order for sushi and sashimi it is served in a wooden boat which is a fun touch. The edamame appetizer which is served steaming hot with sea salt is another favorite. One thing to note is that my rave is primarily for their lunch service. 95% of my visits have been for lunch and my dinner experiences aren't quite as stellar. This applies to several of my favorite lunch spots in Wilsonville. So consider this five stars for lunch (bento boxes) and closer to 3.5 for dinner service. This is a relatively small restaurant, so if I'm coming with a group, I try to arrive before 12:00p. They have a growing group of regulars and hang their photos in collages from the ceiling.

I arrived at 5pm sharp when they re-opened for dinner service. Shortly after I ordered the place filled up. Sushi was fresh and and their plating was charming. I enjoyed the Korean music choice. My first roll was the Summer Lady Roll. This roll is wrapped in thinly sliced cucumber. I am a huge fan of this. I hesitant to order rolls like this at some places though because sometimes you get old cucumber that is more soggy than crunchy. That is not the case at Sushi Ave. My cucumber wrapping was the perfect thickness and had a delightful crunch. The flavor and presentation were delightful. I received my Baked Mussel Appetizer next. It was hot and fresh out of the oven -- just how I like it. My last roll was the Holiday Roll. The picture on the menu is quite different from what I received but, the correct ingredients were there. It somewhat resembled a Rainbow Roll. Regardless of the differences in presentation, it was still a pretty average sushi roll for $9. Next time I will definitely order the Summer Lady Roll and Baked Mussel Appetizer again. The only thing I would like to see more of are rolls that don't contain cream cheese or tempura shrimp. Personally, I'm not a fan. That's just me though, my friends think I'm crazy o_0 In short, DON'T overlook Sushi Ave!

Excellent quality food. Friendly service. Small and quaint. Lunch Bentos are big in portion size & reasonably priced. One negative is that their sushi menu is a bit overpriced. We would frequent this place more often if it didn't cost our family a small fortune to have dinner here. Although Sush Ave food is better in taste, I think Sushiland in Bridgeport still offers the best combo of good food & affordable price.

My husband and I have talked about coming to Sushi Avenue for some time now. We aren't in the area very often but today, while milling about in Fry's we decided that we talked about it for long enough. We stopped in around 2pm today (Saturday) for a light lunch. The place was empty when we arrived and the service was fast. I decided on an Albacore Ninja Roll and a Spicy Tuna Handroll and my guy ordered Tempura Udon and a Spicy Tuna Handroll. As for the sushi, I really liked the texture of their rice compared to the belt sushi places that we have been to lately. The Tuna Handroll was one of the better ones I've had. You could really taste the tuna (and not in a bad way) but the spice was present. It was paired with sesame seeds and a slice of avocado. I really liked it. The Albacore Ninja Roll was pretty good as well. The tuna was seared well and the roll contained crab and crispy cucumber. It was lightly coated in unagi sauce. It was tasty as well but not as good as the handroll. The tempura was good in that there wasn't a lot of batter on the vegetables/shrimp and it was light. Usually I like my tempura a little crispier. The udon broth was good but I felt it was lacking something and was a little too salty. Their noodles were perfect though; cooked well and they had a really nice texture. All in all, I enjoyed my meal here. It was a little more expensive that I was hoping for but the sushi is a welcome break from belt sushi. The service was really excellent during our visit as well. We will likely return!

I had dinner here last night after a heavy weight workout. Appetite was intense. From the moment I walked in until the time I left the service was excellent. The food equally as well. Rarely do I give five stars, but this one nailed it. I will be back. Over and over.

oh me oh my oh me oh my oh me oh my. this sushi made me want to actually stay in Wilsonville another day... well, not really. but if they would have offered a free dinner i would have changed my flight. lol these sushi chefs are the REAL DEAL.

This place has very fresh sushi. It's not your typical sushi on a conveyor belt so everything is made to order. I did not give a 5 star since it's expensive and I didn't realize we racked up a $65.00 bill for 2 adults and a 3 year old until we checked out. yikes!

Red tie is amazing and sushi is fresh! Love this place Sean is really nice and staff is great. Talk about customer service we moved to California and when we came back they remembered what we used to order! We would give this place 10 stars if we could

By far the best sushi place I've been to and in Wilsonville!! Owner Sean and his staff are excellent! My group of friends and family have been coming here since it first opened and it has by far exceeded my expectations! Sushi is always fresh and Sean creates amazing designs and creations that are yummy. Sushi Avenue is truly a hidden gem and better than any of those expensive places in the city. We love you Sean!!

Being a sushi fan, and having eaten it from New York to Hawaii, I have eaten at many of the highly rated sushi restaurants in Portland. It was a pleasant surprise to find Sushi Avenue in nearby Wilsonville. It has become my go-to sushi spot. My wife and I aways sit at the sushi bar so we can see the ingredients and watch the preparation. We always receive a very sincere friendly greeting and the service has been unfailingly prompt and polite. Since my wife dines gluten-free, she has a lot of questions which were accurately and informatively answered by our server. The sunomono salad, the taco salad and the salmon skin seaweed salad have all been excellent. The nigiri of hamachi, maguro, and flying fish roe (with a quail egg) have all been excellent. All of the rolls are excellent with the dynamite, caterpillar, rainbow, super crunchy, Alaska, and spider rolls being our favorites. The preparation and the flavor and freshness of the fish has always been excellent. The tempura dishes that we've tried have been excellent too: crisp, not greasy and not overcooked. There is a good saki selection, nice wines and a good beer selection, although, alas, no draft beer.

  • Patrick S.

Yes it is very good. I have been here 3 times now and I can honestly say that I like it. The Box Bento Lunch is the way to go and it's usually $8 or $9 and it is super filling. I haven't had their sushi in a while but I did like what I saw on other peoples tables. When in Wilsonville you have two choices for Sushi, here and Sushi Track. Both are good for lunch but I think Sushi Avenue seems to have a better quality of food and Service and I'd go there for a more relaxed lunch. The Sushi Track is fun and fast, a good place to meet friends for a quick bite. Enjoy!

I love the "Crazy Boy" roll...I recomend it. Do not be fooled by the strip mall...this is a great sushi place. Decor inside is lacking...but the guy making sushi is wonderful n waitress very friendly. This is our 3rd time in...we leave happy everytime...not to mention our tastebuds leave with big smiles too :)

"Two of the three rolls ordered were bad. One roll was maybe okay. The Albacore wasn't fresh and the baked roll had a horribly chewy texture. What's up with the corn tea they serve? It tastes like stale popcorn. Drive to crazy sushi in Sherwood instead."

This is my favorite sushi place. We started going in there soon after they opened. We were made to feel welcome immediately. We were recognized and welcomed like family on our second trip. The owners are the nicest people on Earth and you can tell that they are passionate about their restaurant and go out of their way to make sure everything is perfect. Don't you hate it when the owners are wonderful people but the food is just so-so? Well that is NOT a problem here. The sushi is downright excellent. The Oregon Roll is my favorite, other highlights are the Red Tye, the seared albacore, and the Baked Green Mussels are the best we've had anywhere. There can be a considerable wait after ordering, even if you are the only customers in the restaurant, but that is because the chef is taking his time and giving you his best. The price is a little on the spendy side, but you get what you pay for. Highly reccomended.

My favorite sushi place! Sean and Grace are among the nicest people in town and their business is always clean and the food outstanding. I like to meet clients here. The owners are relaxed if you hang around after lunch and do business. If you love great sushi you need to visit Sushi Avenue.

As soon as I walked in, I immediately noticed how much this community seems to love this place! Their regulars came in and were greeted by name, there were poster boards hanging up with photos celebrating the restraunts anniversary, and you could tell this place has their own following. I'd have to say this place had the best green tea I've ever had at a sushi place. Unfortunately the terriaki Salmon was overcooked and dry. The sushi roll that came with was decent but not memorable. I wasn't personally fond of the dressing on the salad so I skipped that part. If I come again, I will attempt to purchase other sushi rolls to get more of a feel for how their sushi is. Overall the cost was more than I like to spend on any given lunch but it was a nice experience.

My husband and I are in Wilsonville for work a few times every year. This time it was for the entire week. Unfortunately we saved the Sushi Track for our lunch on the way out of town rather than a dinner during the week. We hail from the Medford area, which has a few sushi places of it's own, but not like this place. We have also been to the Sushi Track, which was good, but I never know how long the sushi has been circulating on the track. The sushi at Sushi Avenue was incredibly fresh. We opted to share a lunch plate, an "Oregon Roll" and a cucumber salad. It was so delcious, and we sat right up at the bar with the chef and had the pleasure of watching him work. We were so impressed that we asked for one more roll, chef's choice. He made us a samurai roll, which was probably the best sushi roll I have eaten. He said it was his personal favorite. We are already looking forward to a return trip to Wilsonville, or maybe a stop by when we take the mother-in-law up for a visit... either way, this place was incredible. As for the decor, I'm there to eat, not scope the place out. We felt very comfortable there and will return.

Really great authentic Japanese food and service from a great couple. The dinner portions are pretty huge. Really good salmon and eel entrees, and I love the tempura. I'm not much for sushi, but the bento meals are really great.

The food here is pretty average at best, its what I wold expect at a food court at a mall, nothing really stood out except for the waitress, I ordered the Saba Shioyaki, she brought me Salmon Teriyaki, but instead of owning up to mistake she said that was what I ordered, I then told her I ordered the Saba Shioyaki not Salmon, she exclaimed that they didnt have that on the menu, this was obviously wrong because for one I dont have the memory span of a goldfish, I told her, "Its the grilled Mackerel I ordered the grilled mackerel" she then said, "Oooh that's Saba, you said salmon. Finally she just took the plate back to fix her mistake, When I got the Saba Shioyaki it was served differently than what I am used to, In a pool of soy sauce coming from some vegetable scraps on the side, and Flesh side up instead of skin side up, upon flipping it around it was apparent they had burned it, Its supposed to be grilled, not charred, the majority of the fish was bitter. The sushi I got was disgusting, topped with rubbery old shrimp. She also brought out what seemed to be some pickled cucumbers, I'm not sure though since she took them away without even asking if I was done, I had planned to eat it with the fish. Not sure how this place has 4 stars, the standards for Japanese food here must be at rock bottom. To sum it up, 1 star for the bowl of rice that came with the meal, its the only dish you guys nailed.

This place is my favorite place to go for lunch/ dinner. I know the chef and waitresses personally and they are the nicest people I have encountered at a restaurant. The sushi is great! I usually order from the nigiri section and the chirashi bowl. Very consistent and always fresh. Never has there been a mistake in what I order and I have been going here from almost 3 years. The service is fast for only having one sushi chef at times. If you are ever in Wilsonville, you have to come by and get lunch or dinner. You will not be disappointed!!

I did not give a 5 star since it's expensive and I didn't realize we racked up a $65.00 bill for 2 adults and a 3 year old until we checked out. yikes!

This is by far the best sushi I have had in Portland. I was kinda worried cause it's hidden by a 7-11 but I read the reviews. So glad I came the service was fast very intimate. I love it I'm coming back tomorrow.

I ate there a month ago based off the reviews. Surprising it was good but rolls could be larger. Everything sushi wise I ate was fresh and good. The decor needs improvement seats are uncomfortable. Other than that I would defiantly return. Prices were very reasonable and a nice variety of rolls.

Enjoy!

"Two of the three rolls ordered were bad. One roll was maybe okay. The Albacore wasn't fresh and the baked roll had a horribly chewy texture. What's up with the corn tea they serve? It tastes like stale popcorn. Drive to crazy sushi in Sherwood instead."

I had really only been to sushi tracks before coming to this place. I came here with my friend and we ordered two rolls. The dragon roll was delicious and very memorable.

Love being able to stop in for lunch with the kids. When I'm craving sushi, they eat the kids Bento Box for $6.95 that includes teriyaki chicken, rice, apple juice, & an orange slice.
