One of the best Chinese restaurants around usually get the Shrimp Ramen soup or the Chicken Teriyaki lunch special. Service is good the only thing I don't like is when it's busy it can take a long time to get your food.

I just went here for the first time today and I am impressed, I was thinking this would be just a "American" style Chinese restaurant but I discovered they serve Korean Bi Bim Bop which was delicious! They also make their own Kimchee which is extremely hard to find around here. Nothing compares to the homemade vs. store bought. The food was very good and the portion size was more than I expected. I will definitely be coming back.

I was really excited about this place when I read about it on Yelp. I was mostly excited because they have ramen. I was disappointed but not completely. The restaurant is typical of any Asian fusion restaurant. The staff ass friendly and helpful. I ordered the one ramen on the menu. I liked the spicy broth and the veggies and meat but the noodles.... WAY over cooked and were so soft and mushy. Honestly, they tasted like instant noodles that you buy in the store... I'm pretty sure they are. I will try this place again for the Korean food but don't get the ramen if you've ever lived in Japan or are Japanese.

This has always been a real treat in Chinese food. The service is always great, foods always hot and flavorful, and the atmosphere is nice. However, the last time I ordered orange chicken and noodles I discovered 3 thin spiral metal shreds in the noodles. The first one I pulled out and decided it was an accident, but as I dug deeper I found more and more. Luckily I didn't consume them as they were sharp. Don't get me wrong the food is great and mishaps happen, but this one has deterred me from ordering again. I would recommend this place but ALWAYS check your food.

The Service was friendly and fast and the food was good. I felt the price of $8 was high for the soup. Even though it was good, it was not $8 terrific. My husband had the special of the day which was Teriyaki Chicken. He said it was good and just the right amount. The restaurant is clean. The atmosphere is open but nothing special. This was our first experience here.. Maybe if I also had a $6 lunch special I would of given more stars. This seemed like a good deal. We hope to tried Rice Time when we are in the area again.

Five star lunch without the fuss of being five star! This restaurant has had it's ups and downs. The good, I believe, revolves around the sweet humble man behind the counter. I'm pretty sure he's what makes this place so deliciously good. You see he left this locale and opened another Rice Time in Canby, and at the time that one was awesome while this one flailed. Now the kind, humble, bespectacled man is back behind the counter here in W'ville and Canby RT has fallen. I don't know a thing about this man but I do know where ever he is great food and service is sure to be found. Don't even get me going on the price! He's giving it away for a smile! With any order you have full access to the fresh made hot soup, which is beef broth with some carrot, celery, onion and beef. You also get access to fresh salad bar with a big bowl of well cut iceberg, cabbage and carrot with sweet dressing and fresh made, not so cured, kim chee. There is an extensive lunch menu with all dishes for $5.99 which are huge portions with rice and some with salad on plate also. You can get add on stir fry noodles in place of rice also. I always get the General Tao Chicken with noodle. If they have egg rolls on the special I always get one for $1.50. Trust me, this is the best egg roll you will have anywhere in the PNW. Eat. Pray. Love.

Great Korean Food! Yummy! gamsahabnida says Thank You. It's a great family owned biz. Great flavor. Spacious dinning area. Friendly Korean family. My husband Dan had the chicken breast on salad, and I had the chicken teriyaki.

I just moved next door to this restaurant. I haven't had any good kimchi since moving to Portland area in August, but yesterday during my first visit, they offered me complimentary kimchi and it was delicious! It was homemade and just the right spicy flavour! Very good kimchi and the service was wonderful. For a main dish, I ordered the bibimbap. It was probably one of the best bibimbap bowls I have ever tried as well. They even prepared some eggs a la carte for my one-year-old's lunch. It was such a good experience. I will definitely return... All the menu options look so tasty and Korean food is my favorite!

My son introduced me to Rice Time recently; it's a favorite with some of the local teens. I was pleasantly surprised with the wide variety of options on the menu from simple teriyaki chicken, to kung pao chicken, to yakisoba noodles. You are greeted at the counter by the friendliest man (who I think is the owner), and your food follows you out quickly. I was also surprised with the quality and quantity of food; you see this place is pretty inexpensive and not real fancy inside, so I thought it would be a bit of a "dive". The food is excellent, comes in large portions, and they don't skimp on the meat or vegetables. Some other "rice-oriented" places give you heaps of rice and cheat you on the rest; not Rice Time. So glad we discovered this little place. What a great option for Chinese food; as good or better than PF Changs but at lower price; priced as low as Panda Express, but with much better food.

Sweet N Sour Chicken is amazing! Service is friendly and expedient. I have visited this establishment numerous times and have found the food delicious each time. Their lunch special is a great value at $5.99, you have more than enough for left overs.

Great find for our overnight in Wilsonville. Friendly and great food!!! Free salad and soup to start. Great value!

Good value for lunch special, but very slow for take out and restaurant was extremely hot. (Yes it's 82 degrees out but their air conditioning can't seem to keep up -- made me regret coming here.). Nice variety on the menu, friendly service. Ordered orange chicken lunch special, came with rice and a salad. Above average quality, rice was done well. Chicken over cooked, but not overly heavy on the breading.

This is the resteraunt I compare all other restaurants to. I could not have fathomed a place serving food this delicious while maintaining good price points and ample serving sizes. I've sampled their lunch special menu and have been astounded at the amount of flavor their dishes have, never over or under cooked. Despite another review rating the service poor, I've always been greeted by friendly staff with quick service. A word of warning though, if you want it extra spicy, say spicy and not hot. I wanted my ramyun extra spicy and asked for it extra hot - what they did was send it to hell to be heated by flames too hot for Earth. Not even kidding here, it was still too hot 40 minutes later for me to eat.

I have had better asian food. I had the hot chicken and small kimchi. It would best to avoid the kimchi. Tasted like it was made in a hurry with red chili paste and cabbage. The hot chicken was greasy and tasted OK. Nothing extra-ordinary.

I'm a fan for sure. The customer service was great, the gentleman behind the counter was very friendly and the food was really good. I got the General Tsao's chicken, and I've had the Teriyaki beef as well. Both really good. I'd definitely recommend!

Great food and customer service!!! Loved it! The owner is super nice and very smiley! The portions are large and delicious! Very clean and organized! The bathrooms are clean!

I challenge you to find a friendlier staff than the kind man that typically works the register and the adorable woman that serves the plates. I absolutely love this place. Nothing on the menu has ever been anything less than among the best I've tasted for that particular dish. You can also substitute salad or steamed vegetables for the rice side dish if you need to watch your carbs.

I love this place! The service is very friendly, the prices are good, everything that I have ordered here has been hot, fresh and delicious.

The Bibimbap is excellent, 5-star. The ramen however was shockingly disappointing. It was instant ramen with added vegetables and shrimp. 0-star. The rest of this menu looked so delicious and cooked from scratch that it makes no sense that they would serve instant ramen. Why bother offering ramen at all?

This place has a great lunch special with healthy options which I love. Always consistent and clean. Fast way to grab lunch on the go.

The general Tao chicken is spectacular. I like to have them replace the rice with noodles which are also great here. Also they have the best egg rolls that I have ever had. Another reason that I like this place is the people that operate it are so nice. They really appreciate your business. I work at the UPS store in the same center and sometimes when I make an order the gentleman that works the register will offer to deliver it to us when it is finished. I eat there for lunch consistently and I would recommend them to anyone

Pro's: Gracious owner; Hot, delicious food; very good prices. Con's: I can't think of any. We order the chicken teryaki, and it is delicious every time. You can order brown rice, which has been perfectly cooked always. The noodle soup is very filling, and has fresh crunchy veggies too.

3 stars for nice service, decent prices, and a clean restaurant. Minus stars for the food needing more sauces & seasoning, my lunch taking forever to come out of the kitchen, and the food being so hot (microwaved?) that it burned my mouth. I might go back if I happened to be at the UPS store in the same shopping center; otherwise...no.

I went in to Rice Time for the lunch special and was very pleased with my meal. For $5.99, I can't think of a better value in the Wilsonville area. I ordered the Sweet Hot Chili Chicken. The rice was cooked perfectly. The chicken was crispy and hot and nicely spiced. I also found person at the counter to be extremely pleasant. I hope more people go in and give it a try.

I love this place! I have been coming for several years now the food is consistently great! The hot chicken is awesome (and addictive!) and the owners and staff are super friendly and the price point is great. Highly recommended!

Rice Time is definitely due an update. A change of ownership has resulted in an improved dining experience. Lunch specials (choice of about eight) are now $5.95 and you can include a drink for an additional dollar. Local high school students save 20% with their student ID. The current incarnation of Rice Time is clean and spacious and they have a nice side dish bar with sauces, green salad and kim chee. They also have a nice selection of guilty pleasures magazines (OK, US Weekly, People) to enjoy while you wait for your order to arrive. The interior has been simplified and while it won't win any awards for design, it is perfectly fine for a casual meal. I still am more likely to order food to go since Wilsonville has a number of parks that are perfect for an outdoor lunch when the weather cooperates.

Absolutely the BEST fried rice I've ever had. First place we hit upon arriving in town. I even took a bunch home in a cooler, 2 day drive. They will also make the General tao super spicy and wonderful. I've yet to have fried rice like this anywhere else. It's amazing.

I like Rice Time for the most part. I used to work nearby, so this was a popular lunch spot. The "Hot Chicken" is really good if you like spicy food. The prices are good, particularly for lunch. The downside is that the restaurant is really ugly and uncomfortable (small tables, uncomfortable chairs), they are miserly about drink refills, and the owner & staff are not particularly friendly. A scowl is about as good as it gets there.

This is a locally owned location. For a while it was under different ownership before the previous/current owner came back. Looking back at reviews from 2010/ early 2011, they are no longer valid because the ownership change. It is much better now. You get free delicious soup, the owner is very grateful to have you there and it shows. The food is good and at lunch they do a steady business. The lunch special is a good deal and it will fill your stomach without sending you back to work feeling bad.

Tried the wonton soup, which was delicious. The teriyaki chicken was served super hot, and I enjoy super hot food.

I love Rice Time! It can get pretty busy during the day but you can call in your order ahead of time. Lots to choose from and if you dine in you can even get some free soup. The owners are so nice and welcoming also.

We used to eat at the Wilsonville Rice Time regularly until it changed ownership a couple of years back. Sadly, the food quality declined to the point where we stopped going altogether until we heard the original owner was back. We've eaten there 5 times in the last month and I can't get enough of the Bi Bim Bap (order it without lettuce and they replace it with stir fried veggies). They also have free soup, salad and kim chee ... pretty killer deal!

We love the food here. My favorite is the teriyaki chicken - but what makes it exceptional us the homemade salad dressing. I love it mixed in with the teriyaki sauce. My 7 year old daughter goes crazy for the free soup. She can't get enough. This place is definitely a family treat

After trying many of the local teriyaki haunts, we stopped by here for lunch one day. Apparently it happened to be the day of shortages. They had no chicken teriyaki...Yep, you heard it right. I cannot believe that a teriyaki place could possibly run out of chicken! Oh, but it gets better...After a couple of us ordered other things like the pork teriyaki and beef teriyaki, one of my co-workers was delivered the bad news they were out of beef teriyaki. HUH?! Well, we were pretty shocked by this and normally would have passed on this place and headed down the street to another place, but we were pressed for time. So, my co-worked ordered something else and we were on our way. I had the pork teriyaki which was pretty good. Unfortunately because we had such a terrible experience there I have to downgrade the rating to 1 star. I mean, really, what kind of teriyaki place runs out of chicken AND beef?!

I'm broadening my luncheon horizons! Venturing a bit further into Wilsonville than usual, it was a toss-up between French toast at the bowling alley and pseudo-Asian fare at Rice Time*. While fried, eggy bread saturated in sugar indeed sounded amazing, we ended up deciding that it was TIME for the RICE...which is always NICE, imo. Anyhoo, this place is pretty much your typical strip-mall restaurant--relatively cheap with greasy food and sassy ladies. It's true what Jen said...the decor really does suck. Dark red tablecloths, and a front counter that looked like it came out of a stable (according to my coworker). However, they have a pretty good array of foods. I'm not gonna lie--the terriyaki chicken was pretty damn good. And it came with rice, salad, and tempura veggies and shrimp for $6.99. I am full. Fosho. The chicken was in whole pieces instead of strips. Other options include mainstays such as orange chicken and general's; udon, spicy ramen, sweet and sour chicken; and lots of tofu. All at reasonable prices. The only thing that would have made my experience eons better today was if my lunch mate would have tried the Sriracha. *Which, oddly enough, must be a chain, since there is one in good ol' Monmouth, too.

Good food at good prices. I work nearby and this is my lunch spot of choice with the $6 lunch special. Nothing fancy, but exactly what you want if you're looking for good food, large portions and good service.

Always great food and service. Pretty standard fare for menu. I like the soup and kimchi while you wait. The spicy chicken is REALLY spicy (to me). It's a great family-run business.
