Great little diner. Stopped off here for a little lunch during a road trip. Burger was perfect and kids chicken and fries hit the spot. Friendly service, clean cosy ambience.

Based on other reviews, I thought I'd try the chicken fried steak and eggs. It appears they bread their own fried chicken so, figured there was a good chance they do the same with the chicken fried steak. Before ordering I asked if they bread it themselves and she was nice enough to tell me they do not but, sell a lot of it. I blame myself because there is no such thing as an acceptable pre-breaded chicken fried steak. This was no exception. The gravy was pretty much the same being a 'just add water' mix with no sausage in it. Pretty much your typical 'heat and serve Sysco, restaurant supply food.' Passable but not something I'll go back for.

You know when you crave that middle of nowhere diner? This is it complete w old school waitress w alas Scottish accent who has come to retire and is as sweet as pie. Best fried chicken evah! Served w 4 pieces, mashers w gravy, green beans cooked in bacon and a fresh salad w excellent balsamic vinagrette. Old school pie display, tookl a piece of recommended caramel apple w me to my coastal getaway. Americana at its finest! Curious about tavern in the back. A must stop!

Food was par at best. Price for food quality and amount would be below par. Better to go to casino a couple minutes down the road or better yet stop by Otis cafe.

The chicken fried staek was tasty. Great texture crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. The hashbrowns are delicious. They are cut medium strips with a slight crispy exterior and they taste great. The eggs are eggs but the rye toast is fresh and soft

Best Tuna melt I've EVER eaten! Found this little gem on the way home from Lincoln City. Awesome little dive diner. Excellent service, friendly people, slammin dessert! Love it!

Friendly staff, could use a little clean-up. Food was about par, typical diner stuff....not a lot to pick from in the immediate area.

The food here is good! I hope everyone that comes by gets an old school vibe, they should re-model and make it a little more hip but it's fine the way it is, with a lot of good food! If you're passing by and you see the giant sign on the free way and you're hungry, this is the right place for you.

A comfortable 'back in the day' restaurant, with lots of locals piled into the booths. I had the bacon-cheeze boog with fries, and it was very good. (And I know my way around bacon-cheeze boogers!!!) The Folks split a Hawaiia'n burger and the rest of my fries. Mom had a green salad that looked fresh, but a bit overchopped? Like the knives weren't sharp enough? She did not finish it. The restaurant was clean, service was attentive and friendly. The folks arrived after I did, and came in through the bar, which they reported was popular, even though it was just noon. As has been previously noted, the ingress and egress can be a challenge, but this is a place way out in the sticks, and the exits are clearly marked. The Spirit Mountain Casino is just 1.5 miles to the West, and is beautiful with many food offerings, but also lots of people and traffic and walking. Will go back........

We love the food from the Fort Hill Restaurant, tasty burgers and perfectly fried finger foods every time. The Classic Fried Chicken platter is mighty large but so close to homemade, it's worth loosening the belt. The staff if friendly and talkative, always ready to pour a refreshing adult libation and spread small town cheer. There is an outdoor patio area, lottery games, and comfortable chairs. Clean adult atmosphere and nice people.

What a pleasant surprise. We stopped on the way back from Lincoln City and enjoyed our late lunch immensely. The waitress was friendly and quick and the food was delicious. The place has an old fashion charm with food like you used to get at a local diner. A great experience and we will absolutely go back!

We like Fort Hill a lot. It's the perfect stop on the way to the coast. It's convenienly located at that part in the road trip where you have to think about using a bathroom and possibly refueling, both food/drink and gas wise. So why is there now a wall in front of it? It doesn't seem to be there for any real reason except to keep people from stopping there. I'm sure the business isn't happy about the barricade. I wonder if the city's trying to make them go under. I really hope they don't, that would be a shame. Ban the wall!
