Not sure how anyone could call the food at Fresco 'bland,' everyone in our family - including my very discerning wife who grew up in Tucson and is very picky about her Mexican food - loved their meal. The recipes seemed authentic and the ingredients definitely were fresh. The tortillas were some of the best I've had, the kids both loved their shrimp and crab burritos, my wife said she would pick their chili relleno for a last meal and my chicken ala cream was great! Their fresh salsa was also delicious and our server was very friendly and attentive. And everything was reasonably priced especially for the coast. We'll definitely return if we're ever in Waldport.

Fresco is our hands-down favorite Mexican food restaurant on the central Oregon coast. The owners & staff are friendly. The atmosphere is pleasant. The bay view is excellent. And, the food is consistently fresh and delicious. I started out to try everything on the menu, but since discovering their chili relleno I've had nothing else. The chili is fresh, wrapped in egg, and fried to perfection. Oh, and the salsa is fresh, homemade and fantastic! Fresco's is fresh AUTHENTIC Mexican food. It's prepared & seasoned to enhance the flavor of the food, not smothered by some TexMex sauce. If you're anywhere near the Waldport area you gotta try Fresco Family Restaurant. p.s. The cerveza is ice-cold too.:-)

Good locally owned and family run place. I like their lunch specials, and the fact that they're near the bay. We stop here once every 2-3 weeks.

Middle of the road food. Nothing much to write about. Flavors werent really there, had to ask for hot sauce to add any flavor.

Went for lunch.Tried the special chimichanga as well as the enchilada/taco plate. It was definitely freshly made. Service was excellent, the place is clean and nice with a bay view over the patio, Unfortunately the food had no flavor.

I liked this place. It was cute and you could look at the water out the windows. The pollo la crema was good and reasonably priced. The ingredients were fresh like the name of the restaurant. Especially appreciated the openness and cleanliness. Service was attentive.

This is all homemade and authentic Mexican. The relano is wrapped in egg. Not the more popular batter fried. Ask for the hotter salsa . Very friendly owners.

Food was good and reasonably priced. I would recommend the sea food as my crab enchiladas were amazing. The food came out fast after we ordered and the service was attentive. The only downsides were that the servers had trouble understanding what we were trying to say and the bathrooms while clean were a little dingy.

Fresh and tasty food served with excellent service from really nice people. We had a couple of tostadas, pork verde and carne asada, which we took to-go. Everything was good and the portions are large enough that my husband enjoyed finishing my meat with rice and beans leftover still. They sent us with a large serving of chips and salsa which was unusual for a take out from Mexican but had the most delicious salsa of my life. I will go back next time I am in the area. For sure. Hopefully when I return they will have their liquor license.

Amazing food. We.ve been up and down the Oregon Coast for years and never found decent Mexican food. Until now. Everything was very flavorful..even the beans and rice. We ordered the beef tacos...carne asada tacos...and flan. Oh my god! Very flavorful w just the right amount of spice. We will definitely be back every time we visit the OR coast.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
