Been real happy and surprised. Since new owners they have done great job with food. Veneta doesn't have lot of good places to eat. Put on list

Don't let the outside deter u from this hidden gem. The inside is bright and clean with a friendly staff and fantastic food! My husband and I are making this restaurant a weekly destination. We split one order of the kung pao three combo (came with choice of soup and white rice) wiith the half order of the pork fried rice (a must try...so good) and the crab puffs appetizer. We couldn't eat it all and only paid $22.50 for the entire meal. We also had hot tea. The waiter was friendly and attentive, it was a great experience. Can't wait to go again.

Not bad, prices affordable, but too bad they don't brown rice as an option.

Read about this place in the local paper. This was previously a chinese restaurant that always looked a little sketchy. The new owners freshened the place up and revamped the menu. There is a large variety of dishes including vegetarian options. They have several dinner specials that looked good. Prices were pretty good considering the large portion sizes. The restaurant was quite busy while we were there but the service was good, especially considering that a newly hired waitress didn't show up for work that night. I got Mongolian beef and my wife had broccoli chicken. Both dishes arrived quickly and were very tasty. The decor isn't the greatest but you have to remember this is Veneta, not Eugene. Can't wait to go back to try some other dishes soon.

Tried it twice. The food is all bland and tastes the same. Another place I want to like, but can't. Yes, its very clean and the staff are nice & efficient. But it doesn't taste good.

Ho Ho is a no go! I could not tell much of a difference between almond chicken and broccoli beef. All was very flavorless, I would drive to Lok Yaun anytime

This place was a disaster! After we waited for long time for our food to arrive and the food was cold, egg flower soup with no egg in it. They should just call it hot water soup. Service was next to non. Will not go back again!

My wife and I were not to impressed, we compared the egg flower soup to water, our food wasn't any better. We will not be going back and will be going to our favorite place "Lauk Yauns" instead. Its worth the drive.

Since the new owner took over. The foods are great, and larger portion. Very clean and great service. We love to eat there and take out. Now on we do not have to drive to Eugene for Chinese food. Thank you very much being here Ho Ho. Veneta loves you! :)

Great food and great service even on a very busy night! The decor is a bit tacky, but who cares. Veneta is very lucky to have this place!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
