I am in love with the sundaes with the apple crisp. I've only been though the drive thru here and mostly for ice cream (ok I lied, last time I went, I snuck a whole burger on the way home, and it was surprisingly delicious. Order is always right and when I bought a burger on the down - low they packaged the hot item separately (gold star for them). Best part is they are really friendly. They almost seem excited to be there?!?

The Bronx Bar

23705 NE Sandy Blvd
Troutdale, 97060
Reviews:
This restaurant seems like a bar that would have food as an after thought, but the food was exceptional. The lasagna was light and airy almost like a cannelloni. It was made with homemade pasta and sauce. Very delicious! The Bronx salad was fresh and surprisingly good for such a little bar type restaurant. The bread on the Philly sandwich was flaky and better than most sub sandwiches found elsewhere. We expected average food and were pleasantly surprised by this little gem of a restaurant.
Had lunch in this little place while waiting for RV service at Camping World across the street. Nice little surprise. Basically a cafe/bar layout, with several booths and tables in the eatery in the front which allows kids, and a "no minors" bar area farther back, separated by.... a pool table! Anyway... Minimal NY deli/pizzeria type menu, with decent variety for lunches or light dinners. Pizzas, calzones, various pasta, and a long list of subs, sandwiches and such. (Drink options are much more extensive). Food is a little pricey, but not bad. Service was a one person operation. "Peanut", a sweety of a server/cook/bartender, was a tiny whirlwind quickly getting our drinks and orders before rushing back to prepare the calzones we ordered, right there next to the pizza oven, where we could watch her expertly assemble and prepare the "pies", before throwing them in the oven, and gayly trotting over to serve another customer. Not sure how she'd survive a lunch rush though! The calzones themselves were great! Perfectly browned, flaky crust around a generous ("choose your ingrediants") load of hot meats, olives, mushrooms and cheeses. Turned out to be a nice "find".
I agree with the other reviewers, the food is excellent! The salad dressings are all house made, and every part was nice and fresh. The calzones and sub's, with house made marinara were great.

Beautiful old buildings that were once a poor Farm and now a lodge, restaurants with gift shops, movie theater, brewery, pool hall, amphitheater, spa, tea house, etc. Classical music, wood interior, white cloth napkins, excellent service with James as our server, good choice of specialty items for breakfast, good robust coffee, etc. A nice surprise that we happened upon while on a bike ride around the lake.
Great food and ambiance for the whole family. Several options and friendly staff. Eat outside if you can - the grounds are beautiful. Expect a crowd.
I've been eating at McMenamins for as long as I can remember but generally ate at the Power Station when visiting Edgefield. This was my first trip to The Black Rabbit. My girlfriends and I manage a child-free and husband-free brunch 1x per month. This particular month was also in celebration of my birthday. We all love Edgefield, so I figured this would be an excellent treat. I made reservations and the group was seated promptly upon arrival. It was busy that day, but not over crowded. We had an overall great experience. The food was spectacular. I had the 3-egg omelet which was delicious! I can't remember what the rest of my group ordered, but there was about 7 of us and everyone was VERY happy with their food. The only downside to the visit, and again it wasn't slammed, is that overall brunch took 3hr because the service was terribly slow. Perhaps they were short staffed that day... I am glad I was with great company :) Atmosphere is great. Edgefield alone is fantastic! Food was great. Prices are great. Overall, definitely great :)

Loading Dock Grill

Reviews:
In general I'm a fan of McMenamins. I love their burgers and Cajun tots. The Loading Dock Grill has secured a good location. Sitting outside on a nice day and indulging in a burger is a good time. The thing about the LDG is that we had below average service here. Our server forgot one of the coffees and didn't bring out enough cream for everyone. This could be total coincidence, but whenever I order tots at any of the Edgefield locations they put on way too much Cajun seasoning on the tots. Requesting light seasoning affords a much better tot experience. Burger was good. Not the best burger I've had at McMenamins but still delicious and satisfying.
The loading dock menu has changed and is even more limited. They no longer offer french fries, only tater tots and they don't offer the Scooby snacks (mini corn dogs) on neither the adult menu nor the kids menu. Since the Scooby snacks are exactly what my daughter comes for, there was obviously some disappointment after waiting an hour for our table. Fortunately, after a couple minutes of contemplation, our server was willing to place our order through the power station kitchen so that we able to have our Scoobys!!! Way to save the day!
Service was great, the menu could use some updating and offer more things to eat outside, other than that a great dinner.

I've had consistently good experiences here with order speed, quality, and accuracy, as well as courteous treatment from staff members.
Service was a bit slow but the fries were cooked to perfection! The fries had the right kind of crunch and was served hot and even had a good life span after hours of being in the car. Bathrooms are cleaner than most I've been to.
Everything was fine. Came through the drive thru. Order was correct, hot and tasty.

This place is amazing! Don't go there expecting the W hotel, go there expecting true chill... Great food at all of their restaurants, great wine (especially the $6 wine tasting at the wine bar), amazing soaking pool (perfect after hiking Multnomah falls), and the first time I've ever appreciated the coolness and beauty of walking through a garden...
I don't think you can adequately describe Edgefield Manor to anyone who hasn't been there. What an absolutely amazing place to hang out and enjoy yourself! Where to start.... the old mansion with its big sunny porch? The brewery? The winery and lounge? The multiple bars (like Jerry's Ice House, where GD tunes play nonstop)? The tasty restaurants? The movie theater, the golf course, the spa? The beautifully landscaped grounds you can stroll with drink in hand? The field by the vineyard where great live shows play all summer? Jeez. If any place like this exists anywhere else, someone please let me know.
Really love this place. I wish it's closer to Portland. But you definitely should checkout this place. It's worth a drive. There are many things you can do here. Mini golf, soaking pool, stay in the hotel or just have lunch or dinner. I believe when I was there, they have some sort of tour guide. I'm not sure if that's something they offer regularly or not. Also, checkout their souvenir shop. They have very cool merchandise. The restaurant here also serve hush puppies. It's not quite the same like I tried in the South. But it's still good.

Perfect hang out in downtown Troutdale
Great spot to grab a beer after hiking in the gorge. Happy hour from 3-6PM with some good drinks (Blue Moon w/ an orange for $2.50, well drinks $3.25). Pulled pork sandwich is a favorite!!
What a great little place, that we didn't know existed. Such a easy place to get to right off the highway up the road a little ways. The atmosphere was great and the food was even better!! Everyone at our table loved their food. We will definitely go back again.
