Cute little hometown diner. Service was OK. Took quite awhile for the waitress to take our order. We asked for milk for our coffee (instead of cream) the milk was separating and had a bit of a sour taste. Although the coffee was very good. Now for the food. Veggie omelette: Very small portion and one slice of toast (2 egg omelette). The inside of the omelette had no cheese, just a bit sprinkled on top. The veggies were still raw and crunchy and the eggs were runny. Nothing was seasoned and the hash browns were not crispy at all. I informed the waitress and she told the cook to remake it. The second time it came out it was still not anything I would come back for but not terrible. The loggers breakfast: The pancakes were very good and the homemade syrup was awesome! Sausage was just ok and very small portion of eggs. Overall not terrible but we probably wont be back.

Great breakfast. I had the 2 egg vegetarian omelet, hash browns and toast. My husband had the same but with a pancake instead of toast. Coffee was free. The service was excellent, very friendly. I highly recommend this to anyone traveling on i5.

No waiting on Sunday morning! Drive into town off I5 and get a decent American breakfast instead going to Denny's. Total old school locals joint. I had the "small" chicken fried steak, it was huge, the gravy was tasty! The kid had a short stack, two massive plate sized pancakes, and a side of bacon (four thick slices). It was good, the waitresses were nice, the bathrooms were clean.

Delicious food & free coffee with purchase! I had an omelette & added chili...hash browns were cooked perfectly, crispy on the outside, tender (but not mushy) on the inside. Run, don't walk past the Apple Peddler and opt for down home charm and good food instead! We'll be back...

I enjoyed french toast here for breakfast. This cafe is small, clean, and comfortable. I would return here again for breakfast or lunch. There are few "local" locations for breakfast in this town so this should rank among the highest choices. There is parking behind the building, easy to find, just off the main street (Central) toward Oakland on State St. I would have given more stars however, the French Toast was nothing more than three slices of bread dipped in batter for $6.15, no garnish such as cantaloup, watermelon, orange or even parsley and the syrup was NOT heated.
