The food is good, nothing spectacular. But it's a nice place to go for breakfast. I can honestly make the same thing at home. I do like the fact it's inexpensive and locally owned. My husband loves the finger steaks, which are pretty tasty. The giant pancake is obnoxious because it takes up almost an entire table. I ate there this morning and wasn't thrilled. I had diced ham and scrambled eggs. Unfortunately there was a pretty significant amount of egg shells in this, which I found about half way through my meal. I ended up spitting it up and having to rinse my mouth out several times to get it all out. So it wasn't a small amount. The owner took the meal off my bill, including the side of gravy, because I sent it all back. I didn't want a new plate because the egg shells just grosses me out. But she took care of it without a problem and apologized. So I'm impressed by that. I will go back because they do have decent food and take care of issues when they arise.

My husband and I were visiting Springfield for a job interview. After the interview we were hungry and decided to find a diner. Yelp lead us to Addi's and we are sure glad it did! The little diner was packed with patrons, we had to wait a few minutes for a table to get cleared off. To eat I had the bacon, eggs (over easy), hash browns, and an English muffin. My husband had the southwestern omelet. The portions of all the food were very generous to say the least. My husband enjoyed the southwestern omelet and my meal was as good as I expected as well. We had to wait a little bit longer than we felt we should have to receive our food, but the staff was obviously working hard and the restaurant was very busy so we really didn't mind the wait. My husband and I could not get over the prices! This restaurant gives a lot of food for an extremely reasonable price. We got both of our meals for $16 total. We would have definitely had paid more. The staff are very friendly here. The diner is cleaned and have a definitely have a "diner" feel. We will be going back to Addi's for breakfast again soon!

Prices are decent, food ok. Wish weekend mornings, business was a little bigger in regards to seating. However willing to repeat.

Very good value. Portions are enormous to the point of being ridiculous yet priced less than comparable places. Very friendly service. Place gets packed at breakfast and at noon so go odd hours like 10 or 11. Highly recommended.

Great place for brunch. Hot syrup served with huge pancake (consider the size of a mid-large pizza). Bacon was fried to perfection, not too skimmed but not greasy either. Sometimes food may be slow. But brunch is not any fast tempo anyway.

Always awesome American Diner Cuisine. Generous portions and service is always top notch too! I've eaten on and off here for twenty years. Never had a bad meal. Voted best burger in Springfield and they earned it!

They say one hotcake is enough and it is true :) Low prices for super big portions. Good is very good quality and so much flavor. Aside from the food, the customer service here is amazing. The owner is super nice and friendly. Must come to spot if you are around Springfield/Eugene Area.

Found on Yelp during an Oregon road trip. Friendly staff. Huge portions. Great price. But the food itself was just okay.

Great food and service! Nice to support a locally run business - Addi obviously puts her heart into this place! Try the pancakes - they are amazing!

Addi's Diner is the place to go for all your breakfast and lunch needs as well as a great place for the family or a quick stop for comfort food in a very comfortable environment. This place is called a Diner but is different than any diner i have ever been in. The environment is retro and fun with plenty to distract your eyes while you wait for your delicious food. You can really tell Addi has put such personal touches on ever inch of the place that makes it just that much better. She has proven to be a great owner, turning the place around and really making each customer feel like a regular. She even knows exactly what my boyfriend orders every single time even when he hadn't been there in years. I was introduced to this place by my boyfriend and after Living in the area for more than 6 months now and trying many food places, this is definitely my go to for breakfast or lunch. Extremely affordable prices, I'm talking starting at $3-8 for a decent sized and great quality meal. After trying multiple things on the menu I can vouch that every item is of great quality, every single time I've ordered. You won't run into this place on a bad day ever it seems. Because of its popularity it does get busy but waits usually range 5-15 minutes max and I usually only have to wait for a table to be cleaned and they seat me right away. Overall it is a great place to go for anyone including students in budgets, family, couples, singles, all of the above. If you enjoy AMAZING customer service, DELICIOUS quality comfort food and a FUN environment Addi is your girl!

I definitely recommend a stop at Addi's! I came here once before, for lunch, and can't say I was very impressed with my meal. This trip however, for breakfast... WAY different story. I should note that while I do enjoy fresh/quality ingredients and/or clean establishments--those are rarely criteria that sway my vote on a grub spot. I'm a man that wants to eat big. I want my food to taste good, fill me up, and not bust my wallet. Addi's breakfast was top notch, in all the ways I'm critical on. The coffee was HOT and my cup never once was empty. The servers were completely slammed (because Addi's is tiny and popular), yet very friendly and attentive. I had the pancake that's as big as a manhole cover (it seriously is E-normous), an egg, bacon strips, biscuits and gravy, coffee, and a mug of milk. The syrup came to me hot and in a what looked like a snapple bottle. I loved it. By the time I'd eaten this mountain of food, my bill was still under $20 ...including tip. I really cannot wait to go back. There were several items on their bfast menu that require my attention. But once you commit to that freakish looking pancake, you're pretty well dividing to try it and only it--possibly for the rest of your day. Pros: -service -quantity -flavor -prices -overall value Cons: -limited seating -awesome food + cheap prices / tiny floorspace = a line at the door -off-site parking (due to that math equation above) -there's not a Eugene location -no hammock to lay in after you've nearly burst your duodenum -no hot tub ....okay. So clearly I was struggling to come up with cons. :)

Food is average here. Yes, the giant pancake is a novelty, but other than the size it was nothing special. Waitstaff worked hard and were slammed the whole time, so props to them for busting their asses. The burger and fries I ordered were also meh. Fries came unseasoned and very greasy. It may have been that I ordered lunch instead of breakfast, but I would give this place one more shot at redemption in terms of food. TL;DR above average service, just average food

  • Renee J T.

I have to say this diner is worth a trip from just about anywhere ...really I might have to go back to Eugene just to eat here again its exactly what a diner should be super friendly waitress crazy good greasy spoon eggs and potatoes then their crazy giant big pancake which my yelping friends is a really good as they get pancake (you can't eat one alone so share) kitchy decorations this place is all that and more I love Addis

  • Troy M.

What can I say? Addi's is THE place for breakfast! From their perfectly cooked eggs to their incredible cinnamon roll French toast, they deliver excellence every single time. One thing that sets them apart is their skins. Oh the skins! After shredding the potatoes for the morning, she leaves a little on the skin and then they're deep fried to a crispy outside while staying soft inside...amazing alternative to home fries or hashbrowns (although they're delish too!). You MUST try this place! Oh, and they have the best bacon, sourdough toast, coffee, and...

  • Lauren M.

I was starving and snuck in 15 minutes before they closed today. From the awesomely friendly service to the vintage decor to the delicious food, I wasn't disappointed! I had a Denver Omelet with home fries and a biscuit. The fries were perfectly crispy, the omelet was substantial and tasty, and the biscuit was so fluffy! Next time I'm in Springfield, I'll be back!

  • Alex K.

Ok, I've been converted. I still stand by my first review (the breakfast burrito was mediocre) but since then I've tried a variety of items from the menu and they were all wonderful. The atmosphere is classic, adorable greasy diner. The prices are CHEAP. And Addi serves you personally. Even on the weekends when the place is packed there is a good turnover and the staff gets you in quickly. It has now become a family favorite. I'd recommend the basics (pancakes, biscuits and gravy, bacon) over the fancier omelets and scrambles. They are just better!

    (5)
  • Kari D.

My daughter and I are HUGE fans! The biscuits and gravy are awesome (as well as everything I've tried), the prices are great, and the service is always cheerful and efficient.

Some of the best breakfast around. Gotta love that giant pancake too. Kids love it. Only complaint would be that its really cramped, but the food outweighs that.

    (5)
  • Susan R.

This crowded, slightly noisy place is one of my favorites! The friendliness of the staff is picked up by my fellow diners, and with the hustle all around you it really does feel like home! The food has never disappointed, and the price of the meal is much better than other nearby places and tastes exactly like I want. For under 7.00 I can get 2 eggs, toast (or a pitiful biscuit!), crispy hasbrowns, bacon and coffee. It's very yummy! If I have a complaint it's that parking is a bit crowded and that they close Monday's and Tuesdays. No matter, it's worth it!

  • Kyle K.

This place is awesome! Has a cozy diner feel with AMAZING service! The portion sizes will fill EVERYONE up. I recommend the train wreck (but substitute the ham for sausage). You will have to wait for a bit to get seated because the restaurant is small, but it is for sure worth the wait!

  • Christopher W.

Always look forward to coming back here. We live 600 miles away and this is one of our three regular stopping points. The pancake is ridiculously large which is why I was even more surprised on how good it was. Portions are big so order less or share. My fav is corned beef hash. Also very reasonably priced.

  • Jeff R.

Must eat here! Pancake the size of a large pizza and burgers that are awesome. Travel down memory lane with old drive in speakers and parking meters that adorn the cherry table cloths. I had the Allan... egg and bacon on a 1/4 lb burger. Ordered the potatoe skins..m highly recommended! Crispy deep fried with just enough potatoe goodness to crisp with every bite. Enjoy!!

  • Kristin W.

Went here for breakfast with my three year old and it was amazing! The hot chocolate was warm, so he didn't have to wait to drink it. And yes it's still $.95! Ordered the cinnamon roll French toast and it was the best I've ever had. The pancake was giant and would easily feed 3-5 people. We took the rest of it home and it's at least two pounds. The over easy egg was cooked just right, and the bacon was also the best I've had- it's thick cut so it doesn't get as crispy as thin cut, but that's how I like it. The place is small and parking is limited- as we left I noticed people parking in the lot just west of the diner across the street, so keep that in mind. I'm so happy to have found a place that is family friendly and actually a good deal and delicious!

Average breakfast, good service, cool little place. I could live with out smelling like a greasy spoon when leaving. Noticed some gigantic pancakes on other tables I may try.

  • Caitlin W.

I seriously love this place. When I think classic diner this place defiantly hits all the criteria. Cheap, oddly decorated, and big tasty plates of greasy food. This place is packed for breakfast (which is not a surprise in the slightest) When I came we just had to order the big pancake. 4.25 for this monstrosity. How is it so cheap??? and how does it look so perfect? You would think that the quality would be lessened because of its size but its the complete opposite it was a delicious fluffy pancake. If you can finish the whole thing by yourself well that's a prize within itself. I also ordered fried chicken fingers with over easy eggs + hash-browns. Huge portion of perfectly greasy crispy hash-browns. I'm not sure why I ordered so much food but I did and I was extremely stuffed and happy. I will for sure be back!!!

Yum yum! Best breakfast in town. Very affordable. Kid friendly. Owner is absolutely wonderful. And has a great team working with her. Can't wait to go back!

Interior is a retro-1950s diner feel. Oh, and there's a giant spatula over one of the signs. Basically, I came here for their massive pancake, simply named "The Hotcake." Trust me when I say this is the largest pancake I've seen to date. It has to be at least 16 inches in diameter. For being a steroidal pancake that got hit by gamma rays, it was also quite good. Not extremely rubbery and not too dry. Goes well with a bowl of syrup. This pancake is only $4.25. So what does the spicy panda do in this situation? Sprinkle ghost pepper powder on the massive pancake and in the maple syrup. Spicy-sweet combo win! (And here's the video of my huge spicy pancake adventure! youtube.com/watch?v=Jcnm… ) This place has huge portions overall. There are some other great items on the menu, like the Cinnamon Roll French Toast and Steak & Eggs. Heck, I also saw Spam & Eggs on the menu. The panda approves. Addi's is open Wednesday through Sunday, from 4 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Great and friendly service. Portions are BIG so come hungry. When you order hotcakes they bring out warm syrup which taste so delicious.

It's only ok. There are better places. We tried it because of all the great reviews. It's a quant retro diner (think Elvis and Marylnn Monroe), but a super small dining room. The wait time wasn't too long considering how small it is. Patrons are crammed together and because of the lack of space there is unspoken encouragement to eat quick and leave (check is delivered with your food). The place has a greasy feeling to it like it needs a good deep cleaning. There are bathrooms if you ask and they are located in the back through the kitchen. The wait staff is the highlight of this place and are very cheerful. The novelty pizza sized pancake seems to be what keeps this place open. We ordered the breakfast burrito and the plus two plate. Both were just ok. There seemed to be some other items on the menu that would be something to try but I wouldn't want to go during peak hours again. All in all it wasn't the worst breakfast dining experience, but I think the reviews are a bit high.

The cinnamon roll French toast is AWESOME! The omelettes were good too. Did to-go but during the short interaction I had they seem like a friendly staff.

Had I driven by and saw Addi's Diner from the outside without reading Yelp first I probably would have never stopped. It looks a little old and run down, but after stepping inside it's apparent that this is what makes Addi's so special. It isn't a chain. It isn't over priced. The staff is nice and friendly and the food reminds me of that hardy breakfast that grandpa used to take me for when I was young. Addi's is a hidden gem that's both affordable and memorable. It's the kind of meal that you snap photos of before eating - and spend time thinking of clever headlines to print on Facebook. For starters, their pancakes are legendary. I personally didn't eat one. However, I did see them served and they are huge. Bring your kid and let them order one and it's nearly as good as a birthday present. It's part of the experience here. I had the cinammon roll french toast which wasn't healthy by any means (be sure to tell them to hold the butter, they literally put a half pound on and it's not necessary) but tasty! The bacon was made crispy as I requested and the hash browns were good. For breakfast, this place is awesome. It's not gourmet by any means, you are coming here for a hardy breakfasts and leaving with a full tummy and tons of value.

Careful ordering the salad...you had better be hungry!! It's huge, and so are the pancakes nice lil spot for good grub. Service was on top of it and overall was decently priced.

  • Claire V.

Huge portions, crazy low prices, and an Elvis impersonator every week. You can't go wrong with Addi's Try their Hot Chocolate with whip for only $0.95 or a coffee for $0.75. For breakfast, do the pancakes and the cinnamon roll french toast. You've probably seen a lot of places with big pancakes, but these are truly huge. They're served on plates big enough to hold a turkey, and the pancakes are even bigger than those.

  • Bryan S.

Best breakfast in town!!! The food is great and the pricing is reasonable!!! No complaints. Thanks Addi!!!

    (5)
  • Susan A.

Probably the friendliest service I've ever received - from greeting to goodbyes - and the most generous portions of the yummiest breakfast food at the most reasonable prices I have seen in a very very long time. I can't think of a reason to go anywhere else for a weekend breakfast as long as there are places like this to go to! Of course, because they are this good there is a bit of a wait for a table - but there's lots of fun stuff to look at on the walls while you're waiting. A very positive breakfast experience! We had: Denver Omelette, biscuits and gravy, the train wreck, and the hamburger patty and eggs. Everything was fantastic.

My kids love this place whenever they get good grades at school they say can we go to red car (that's what they call it) the service is always great it's really tiny so sometimes you have to wait for a table but it's worth the wait!!! A burger with the fry chips are a must!! And get a milkshake you won't be sorry!!

  • Katherine S.

This place was super yummy. Thanks to other yelp reviews I went to check it out. My daughter had the giant blueberry pancake, I had sausage egg and cinnamon roll French toast, hubby had biscuits and gravy, hash browns , and a side of bacon. We had two coffees as well. All this came to a total of 19.50. It was really good tasting too. Only thing I wwould recommended is for some air conditioning. It was to warm in there and kinda spoiled my appetite a bit. Kinda uncomfortable. That said I Will go again when weather is cooler outside :)

  • Nicole D.

This place is ok. The atmosphere is retro and the whole place has a great theme going for it. The staff is friendly and nice. It's usually packed, but cycles through patrons fairly quickly. The food is average. Yes they sell a massive pancake. That alone is not worth more than three stars. We've been here a few times because of all the high reviews, and also because there's some days when you just don't want to bother making your own breakfast. The food is not that great really. Also, the whole place needs a top to bottom cleaning. I don't want to stare out the window and see dust all over everything. I was there a few months ago and it was just dirty. With all the knick knacks and stuff everywhere I can understand that it doesn't get cleaned frequently, but too much dust and grime will make customers sick. And it's really gross to look at. That place needs a deep cleaning.

  • Tiffany S.

Sooo good! Best giant hot cakes ever! The prices can't be beat! Fun 50's diner atmosphere. Can get really crowded early in the morning on weekends as there are only about 12 tables, but so worth the wait!

  • Julie S.

Addi's Diner is what you want if you are looking for local diner food. Great service! Great food! We ordered the pancake! You only need one because it is about 2 feet I. Diameter !

  • Robin C.

Has to be the best breakfast place I have ever been to. The food is phenomenal the portion sizes are great and it's the best and most friendly service I have ever seen. I am very impressed because we go there often and I have never once heard "oh we are out of that."

    (5)
  • Kaitlyn F.

10/10 WOULD RECOMMEND! Get the pancake, before you can even think otherwise, get the $3.75 pancake! It was bigger than my body! It will literally take 3-4 people to clean off this pancake, which makes it REALLY worth it. They also had refillable strawberry lemonade which was surprisingly tasty. The ambiance is that of an old 50s diner of yesteryear! There are old parking meters on the tables and vintage license plates from all 50 states decorating the walls along with nostalgic memorabilia. The service is very friendly and attentive. You can tell that the people here are regulars!

FUELING UP for a trip to Crater Lake and THIS was the right place. I have a friend who lives nearby and recommended it, he was sure right on with this one. I will come back every time I'm here in the morning. I'd even plan a trip just to be here for breakfast. Then an after-breakfast nap and a late lunch at Papa's BBQ. The lack of TV is always a plus for me. Cops are always here eating. I WISH they had room for some outside seating, on good days it could be stupendous. Of it had a roof, it could be nice on rainy days (which is most of the time here).

  • Matt K.

We have been to Addi's several times and never been disappointed. Addi and the crew are friendly and quick with service. The breakfast options are my favorite and served all day. If you think you have a big appetite try the pancake. Yes just one. If you want a little bit of everything have the Train wreck. It has it all.

Yelpers screwed me again.. lol. Really? 60 reviews and 4.5 stars?? This place was on my short list two days ago (because of yelp) but didn't want to drive that far from my hotel. Then a kid at a local unnamed coffee chain enthusiastically recommended it when I asked about good breakfast in town. In fairness to him he says he always gets the "train wreck" which I did not order. Ambiance is way cool with old license plates on the wall, parking meters throughout the place and lots of old memorabilia... lots of Betty Boop. Cool old greasy spoon cafe. Service was good, coffee was fine. No issues there. The Food: Ordered half order biscuits and gravy, two eggs over medium and homefries. Asked the server if gravy was sausage gravy and she said yes. Awesome, no need to order bacon or sausage on the side then. Gravy was obviously prepackaged white gravy with NO sausage, either in taste or texture. Eggs undercooked (pet peeve of mine) and homefries were just plain. Absolutely zero seasoning on anything. Not even grease flavor. I'm a big fan of second chances so maybe I'll try them again when in town. Maybe one of their signature dishes. But I did find some other better options so we'll see.

This place rocks!! Today was the first time I visited but I've already decided to make it my favorite brunch spot! The decor was really adorable and interesting. Hotcake is huuuuge and only $4.25! The most amazing thing is their hot chocolate is only for $.95. You must be kidding me :o I couldn't believe that until we paid! Why we don't have such a great restaurant near the campus? Next time when we wanna grab some hot chocolate, I'll tell my friend, "Sure. Let's go to Addi's!"

  • Jessica J.

Me and a girlfriend came to eat breakfast here on a road trip. It was mediocre food but for a fair price. The owner I assume because her name is "Addie" was completely rude and not understanding of two single moms having two toddlers to look after. She once even said that this is a restaurant and not a zoo. As if our children are animals or that it is my dream to try to contain my child in a restaurant full of vintage toys that they obviously cannot play with all at their eye level. Not one time did she acknowledge us or see if there was something that she could do to help us out. Where is the humanity? Isn't our country supposed to be built on family values? The only reason that I gave this place two stars is the wonderful man Steven who was so kind and understanding and consistently made sure we were doing okay. Thank you Steven for being kind to two single mothers who were in need of some understanding and kind energy.

Great skins, a lot tastier than fries. A suggestion: Order the Chili Burger then you can build your own chili skin! Also the deep fried fish was very juicy. Love the decor and the people there.

This place is traditional American food. Spices? Salt and Pepper. Quantity? Huge. When you ask an American where is a good place to eat, most reply, "over there, the servings are huge." That describes Addi's. I went there at about 1:00 on a Saturday and the place was nearly full with most people eating breakfast. I ordered from the side menu as I like to moderate some of my ingredients. So I had a side of "slate" fries, a biscuit and a small cup of gravy. This way I could mix and match as I like. First thing was to get some jelly for half the biscuit, so I reached for those tiny plastic serving units that are mostly filled with apple jelly with (insert berry here) flavor. Not at Addi's. Jelly is in a jar on the table. I could not fault the food or the service. Manly looking guy doing a great job working with a female server. He even raced out to get me when I left my key on the table. As has been noted, the floor is really dirty. If they have a regular schedule to clean, maybe it was planned for the next day after some time of neglect. Anyway, that is the only reason to give them one less star. If you want fancy, go somewhere else. If you want spicy, add pepper.

Cinnamon roll French toast is awesome! With an egg and either two bacon or two sausages for $5.50? It's a steal! Outstanding, friendly service from all wait staff too. The decor is cool with a nostalgic Route 66 theme. Small dining area and a popular place, but food was served hot and quick, so there was no wait to be seated. I will definitely be back!

  • Tianyi S.

One fluffy hotcake, golden and crisp at the edges, arrives at your table, veritably the size of your entire. effing. upper body. For $3.25, you receive this, plus an extra (large) pat of butter alongside a Snapple bottle filled with warm maple syrup. Shell out an extra 75 cents, and the motherly hostess will ply you with bottomless rounds of fresh, hot coffee & little plastic creamer cups. Siggggh. =) Considering feigning sickness to leave work right this minute for hotcakes & coffee. Siggggh. =( Bottom Line: Don't take my recommendation to heart. I want to eat my hotcakes without having to wait in (any longer of a) line. Average wait time on weekends is already edging past 45 minutes.

First time to have breakfast here. Had chicken fried steak. I was not impressed! I had an english muffin that had rancid butter on it. It was horrible! The service was great. I will not return! Ever!

  • Jeannie S.

WOW, this place is pretty cool. It's a small place, but service is fast, and the wait wasn't too long, even when there was a waiting line. Their pancakes are CRAZY big, and SUPER delicious, probably some of the best I've ever day. I loved the vibe, the decor, the way the served syrup warmed in a Snapple or Mason Jar. It's a hometown, diner feel with a bit a hipster mixed in. Prices are cheap, and they offer some different items that remind me of my childhood...SPAM, yep...they offer Spam in their menu. I almost order some just case, but since I ordered that massive pancake, I figured I better stop while I was ahead. Another bonus? Their staff is friendly and service was excellent. If you're in town, go; you won't be disappointed!

Food is excellent, portions are LARGE and everyone is very friendly. I have definitely found my breakfast spot. My lady loves that they have chicken strips for breakfast and I love that every time I get the ham and eggs I don't leave hungry. Prices are very reasonable for what you get, nothing is too expensive. Best breakfast in the area!

For your first time you have to get the big plate! It's one pancake, eggs and toast. It doesn't sound like much but it's an extreme amount of food! The pancake was bigger than the plate which was about the size of a turkey serving plate. It was insane! A definite must if you're in the area

  • Martin F.

There is a time machine, this is proof. Straight from the 50's, no need to spend money on any of that new fangled technology. If they are open, they are serving breakfast. Don't ask for the lunch menu, there isn't one. The pancakes are the biggest you will ever see. Follow the advice from an earlier reviewer - don't put butter on the entire pancake at once - and you will have a better experience. The food was great, the service was friendly and the prices were better than average. It's worth the drive off the main road a bit to find it and enjoy it.

Addi's, I kind of love you! Yes, I consume a ton of greasy calories and yes, I smell like a greasy spoon the rest of the day, but that's okay! We can be friends every weekend. Rather than restate what the previous reviews mention - the biggest pancake in the world, or at least in Oregon, the cheap (but not my fave coffee), the lovely ambiance and the friendly tat'd server and sweet Addi herself, I'll focus on a few other important things. Like the friend potato skins. Get them either as a side or as part of your breakfast, but these homefry castoffs are the bomb. The cinnamon roll French toast, all eggy and cinnamony and made from house made giant cinnamon rolls - also the bomb. Addi uses localish meats from Childers and lots of love. I can't believe I wrote that. But that's what happens when you have a crush.

This place is pretty solid. One of our favorites in the Eugene/Springfield Area. Been going for a couple of years. Solid service! The owner is always super friendly! The food over all is solid. There are somethings to avoid. The potato skins and the fries. Not a fan. Soft limpy and like they are cooked in oil not nearly hot enough. Their gravy needs a makeover. Too bad cause I love Biscuits and Gravy. And apparently after reading some of the reviews, the breakfast burrito. But then again, why would you go to an obviously American Diner and order a burrito??? What is good, They have THE BEST sausage links in the area!!! By far! Which dumbfounds me why the gravy sucks....but none the less, order sausage! Bacon is my kids favorite! Very tasty!!! Kinda like it was deep fried! What ever, very good! Eggs are always cooked perfectly. French toast is just good old french toast. Pancake is a nice thing to get with a crowd! It is huge!!! Kids also like the chocolate milk. Not premade and with syrup. I guess I am giving 4 stars because what we order is consistenly awesome. The service, again, is awesome. The place is small but works. Lots of kitch around the place. Just wish they would fix the gravy issue.

I loved this place! Filled with locals and people passing through, you are actually served by Addi herself. The menu is limited to basic breakfast, but these basic choices are done largely and well. A giant pancake (a three stack in one) with meat and egg for under 6 bucks, sold! Their syrup comes in a warmed up glass jar which makes all the difference. Decorated in old street signs, Elvis posters, and 50s knick knacks Addi's delivers on the diner motif. Only about 5 minutes off the highway it's worth stopping in.

Went back here the other weekend with family who have a one year old- Addi's staff were AMAZINGLY accommodating! I knew this was the place to bring out of town guests, but I didn't realize it's the place to bring kids! What a nice surprise! Thanks for being so thoughtful, Addi's. You made our morning!

Look im not one to put down any business. I just know what i like and dont like. So dont order the corn beef hash!!!!!! I guess im spoiled and am used to brisket cut then seasoned and cooked with taters and made into homemade corn beef hash. Not a very hard concept. At addis i thought i would be trying they're version, but i was incredibly dispointed when i saw my plate full of that soggy cat food like canned corn beef. Gross. Double gross. My girly got the cbh too with hash browns and egg whites. The egg whites were a yellow brown color. They obviously cooked them on the flat top grill were they made the hash browns and whatever else they cook on that. Not even in a pan?!?! The hashbrowns were extremely greasy, we could feel the grease lingering in our throat well after each bite. We did get the big pancake, it was alright, but is that this places staple dish? A big ass pancake? The service was good and friendly, the decor is nifty and very diner and diveish. The coffee didnt really pep me up. I can see neighborhood people eating here regulary, but i wont be making a special trip over here for that. P.S. dont get the corned beef hash. Cheers!!!

Had breakfast here because it was the only thing open at 5:30am. This place was awesome! Total throwback to the 50s complete with original jukeboxes from that era, old parking meters between the booths, and a cook who made some killer eggs and hash browns! I am not a huge breakfast guy but i totally loved this place. Will definitely stop by here next time i am near springfield!

Wow! Best darn gluten free breakfast on the planet!! My family enjoyed their gluten free pancakes more than the glutenous ones they were eating. I haven't had gluten for years now and thought I'd never taste fluffy pancake goodness again, but now I can. They're so good I would almost move to Eugene just so I could have them all the time. Aside from the pancakes, everything else here was top notch. The bacon is awesome! They know how to cook eggs (so many places don't!). Simply amazing! This place is proof that breakfast heaven does exist!!!

This was our first visit here, and we were greeted by an awkward man who muttered so quietly that we had to ask him 3x to repeat himself and still had no idea what he said. Our waitress came over and quickly got out order in. We ordered the large pancake with eggs and bacon, cinnamon roll French toast and a half order of biscuits and gravy. The pancake was definitely huge and the large pat of butter was in abundance. Strawberry jelly in a squeeze container was already at the table. The pancake tasted like most pancakes. The cinnamon roll French toast was a little weird... I prefer Shari's cinnamon roll french toast. The biscuits and gravy was 2 halves of one biscuit and was covered in a gravy that was more peppery then sausage like. I had only chunk of sausage on the whole plate. I love pepper, so the pepper flavor was delicious. The gravy basically tastes like a watered down dry mix you add water too. Overall the prices were cheap and I would come back again if I'm looking to only eat some pancakes.

This place is AMAZING! I have been on several occassions and have never, ever been disappointed. I have eaten both the breakfast and lunch offerings and find this place to be delicious no matter what I decide to eat that day. The prices are super reasonable and the atmosphere is lovingly quaint. The staff is friendly, especially the owner Addi, who can be seen mingling with the customers throughout the day. I havw nothing but wonderful things to say about this place and count it as one of my favorite places to eat ever.

My favorite breakfast place!! Addy is amazing and the entire staff is so sweet. I'm not usually a big breakfast person, I get the eggs and chicken strips and the most Bomb potato skins. They're the best! The decor is also adorable, I'm a fan of the mug wall and license plates.

I love Addi's! This is a great diner and the owner makes it a fun visit with her sassy personality. They even have oatmeal, so I can eat at this great diner often and live to tell the tale. Better now than it ever was with the prior owner, Rose. This is the classic American heart attack breakfast place! Go there, but don't expect anything fancy, just the best breakfast in town.

For a traditional diner in the Eugene/Springfield area, this is tops in our family's book. If you're a regular you hang your coffee mug on the wall. My dad's mug says "I like my coffee black like my President" and although he's now in a nursing home, Addi keeps it there waiting for him. My parents went to this diner every morning for years and years and it feels like having breakfast with family. If you're in the area stop by. Don't order the $3.50 pancake unless you want a pancake the size of Texas (that's the joke) but everything else is huge portioned too, no matter what the "fluffy guy" says in his review. If he has to eat more than this for breakfast, he needs to go on a diet or face a diabetic future. Just saying.

Super friendly and quick service. The food is pretty great too. It's your above average diner usuals, with the exception of their 2' pancake. Aside from it's enormous size it's big on flavor. Fresh hot coffee and a chef who actually knows how to cook your eggs. What more could you want for breakfast?

I am so sorry I have to give this cute little diner 3 stars. I wish a more precise rating method was offered, but as far as our breakfast this morning goes, I am being fair. I had the TrainWreck plate.. Deep fried home fries/cubes topped w a scramble of ham (I subbed bacon, as I am not a ham fan) eggs, onion, bell pep, tomato, mushroom, topped w cheese and sausage gravy... and I ordered a biscuit... It was huge. If you enjoy large portions, you're gonna be happy! The problem w my breakfast was the sausage gravy. It was horrible!!!!!!!!!!! I have not had gravy this bad in years! I usually order my gravy on the side until a restaurant has passed my stringent gravy test and thank goodness I did. I knew the second I saw it, looking all gelatinous, rather than roux-ish, that it was prob canned. My BF (who is easier to feed) wouldn't eat it. That say a LOT! There was so little sausage in it, that I was thanking my lucky stars I didn't order my staple: chicken fried steak. I would have returned it, simply due to the gravy. BF ordered the breakfast burrito and he said it was ok, but thought it was supposed to be a grilled tortilla. They filled a plain white tortilla with the egg filling. Again, I'd have returned mine to the kitchen to have them grill the outside. I can't eat uncooked flour tortillas.. Too doughy. His hash browns were yummy and cooked crisp, as requested. My coffee was decent, the price was niiiiice and our sweet waitress(es) kept tabs on us making sure we had what we needed. So, as much as we wanted to give a 5 star rating... It just was not earned. The 3rd star was due to price alone. Addi's offers a v fair price point. We will give Addi's another go around and next time we have a plan in place. Order pancakes and/or French Toast, a side of bacon, for me, a side of links and hash browns for my honey.

The food is delicious and super cheap. The atmosphere is a little weird, but you get used to it. There is a lot to look at. The only downfall is their hours, but it just means you have to get out of bed at a reasonable time. I would definitely love to go back if I'm in Springfield again.

This place was fun! The pancakes are huge (they are not joking) and the people are nice. It is what a diner is supposed to be, kind of greasy, but in a good way.

Superb American diner food at incredibly reasonable prices. Loved the retro atmosphere. Service was friendly. I had a "small" breakfast of eggs & hash browns which were extra crispy the way I love. My husband had a Southwest omelette (huge). The bill came to $24, including an Addi's T-shirt!

In a town that has great breakfast options, Addi's is my family's consistent fave. We love Addi herself, who serves every single day they're open and has only taken one vacation since her "outlaws" bought the place. Addi is sweet as pie, and so are the outlaws. They make a mean cuppa joe, and the pancakes are fluffy and perfectly cooked. All the breakfast diner basics are on offer. Highly recommend the "pitiful lookin' biscuits and gravy." One friend digs into the Train Wreck every visit. Bacon is perfectly crisp and tasty. My only steer-clear recommendation is the cinnamon roll french toast, not because it isn't delicious...it IS! It's just so rich, everyone I've ever seen try it was sorry later. The kicker for the Addi's breakfast recommendation...where else in town can you get a fresh-cooked real meal with coffee for under $5? The prices are great! Also, our little guy who's three loves Addi's. They have a big bin of toys, musical instruments hanging from the ceiling, 50s diner stuff everywhere. Lots to look at and free newspaper funnies to enjoy. The park across the street offers perfect post-breakfast playtime options.

Yum. This place knows how to do breakfast, and the prices can't be beat. The portions are quite large (have you seen the hotcake?!), and the coffee is good. This is a very small place with just a handful of tables but I love the 50's diner feel. I have had decent customer service experiences every time I've been here, the owner is very nice. I will definitely keep going back again and again.

I'm a fan... had breakfast here and it was tasty! I had french toast and eggs, the price was so unbelievable $3.95 for my breakfast and .75 cents for coffee. Addi was the server and she is just as wonderful as you can get. The atmosphere was great, the patrons were fun... my only objection was the stuffed cat that was curled up next to our booth... he really kind of creeped me out. I think the word is spreading on this place... and I plan on coming back, Thanks Addi.

Wow. I'd frequented this place during high school when it was Rose's diner, and I was so happy when I noticed it was open again. The menu had very few changes and the decor was the same. Quite the trip down memory lane. The food is wonderful. Sure you could get a better breakfast in some big city for three times the price, but if you're looking for delicious eats at rock bottom prices this is the place for you. We went for breakfast and couldn't finish off the hotcake. It looks big in the photos, it looks even bigger in front of you. Yummmmm!

You can't get a better breakfast/lunch for the cost of what you get at Addi's. Go ahead and give Addi's a try. I'm sure you'll be a 'regular' before you know it! Please note: The diner is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Wow- I am shocked no one has reviewed this place yet. Anyone driving into Springfield from Glenwood/Eugene invariably passes by the place just before they reach the Springfield bus station. Addi's Diner stands as a tiny white and red throwback to a Coca-cola era with tin signs and Elvis records plastered to the walls. Though everything on the tables and walls had to be decades old, the place was immaculately clean and the staff seemed very nice. Menu- really not many option. Classic combinations or mix and matches of eggs, bacon, sausage, steak, etc. I had read a blog prior to visiting that said that the hotcakes are the things to get. You can sub out your potatoes and toast that come with your meal for one if you'd prefer. Trust me, there is no way that the potatoes and toast could be half as filling as the singular hotcake (sold by itself for $3.25). I used to be a big guy with an exceptionally healthy appetite. If someone stuck a gun to my head, I could probably pound down 2 McD's value meals in a sitting... I got about 1/3rd of the way through the hotcake and hit "the wall." Aside from being giant, the hotcake is perfectly cooked- thick but not pasty or doughy, with nice crispy edges/crust that provides the perfect contrast to its delicately fluffy interior. The cake comes with a nice chunk of butter and half a Snapple bottle full (literally) of syrup. I ordered the eggs and diced bacon and then subbed out the rest of the meal for the hotcake. The eggs and bacon were fairly unremarkable - I am guessing the cook just fixed the bacon and eggs together and then chopped them up on the griddle. Eggs ended up really dry and the bacon pieces were cooked but not crispy. The hotcake, however, completely lived up to its expectations. I made the mistake of trying to spread the syrup and butter over the whole cake. Next time, I think it is just going to just eat a giant chunk out of the center and just make a well right in the middle of the plate for dipping each bite. The problem with spreading the syrup out initially is that it over-soaks into the cake and makes it mushy. By the time I threw in the towel, I made it about 1/2- 2/3rds of the way through one, but hard to tell since I had haphazardly eaten from the outer edge in. Whole bill came to $6.50. I think there is probably no better deal from Wednesday to Sundays (open at 7 am) for breakfast than a hotcake at Addi's Diner for $3.25. I don't think the small portion of eggs and bacon they bring out alongside the meal is worth the extra $3.25 for the breakfast plate itself, but the hotcake alone has to be one of the best deals (quality/value for price) in Springfield.

We stopped at Addi's diner on our way to Roseburg. I found it through yelp because of the good reviews. Food was great! We tried the breakfast burrito a bacon scramble and corn beef hash and eggs. All 3 of us split a pancake and they are huge. One pancake is actually big enough for 4! All of the food was delicious and the service was great! Addi was so sweet and funny. We also met a couple locals who were super nice and overall had a great experience. We will be coming back on our way back through! Highly recommend Addi's Diner! Oh and don't forget to try the skins!

First let me start by saying that the look of this place is pretty cool. Now once my co-worker and I walked in and sat down, the amazing aroma's of breakfast food hit you!! We heard about the "pancakes", but I didn't know about the "pancakes". We each ordered a breakfast meal with a side pancake. When the pancakes were brought to our table, I thought they were small blankets!!! The food was amazing, the service was great. Everyone was nice, even the owner, when we didn't finish our pancakes!!! I was amazed when I saw the picture of the 8 year old who ate a whole pancake, by himself. Great Spot!!!!!

this is our first time there. it's a cute little restaurant on the inside. my husband and i just went there today and had breakfast. i ordered the chicken fried steak with homefries, scrambled eggs, and english muffin. he ordered the breakfast burrito with hashbrowns that included salsa also. it took a little while to get our food, but we were patient. it's a small place and so you just go with the flow. when we did get our food, i didn't get my homefries, instead hashbrowns. the waitress was nice and asked if i wanted to exchange it, but it took a while to get our food and the place was busy so i said no. the food was very good for portion size. my chicken fried steak was not so light and crispy coated, but had more of a harder to chew breading that wasn't as pleasing. the eggs were okay, no probs there. my english muffin was warm, but was pre buttered. not sure i like that cause sometimes i don't always want butter on my bread. the only jelly/jam offered was at the table in a squirt bottle with cheap looking grape jelly. the hashbrowns had a nice browning on them. my gravy tasted very cheap with little sausage or none and didn't taste homemade, more like a cheap packet or can. my husband's burrito had the same problem as another reviewer did. the tortilla is supposed to be grilled or warmed up on the flat top. didn't seem to be that much. it was rolled like a big taquito and not a breakfast burrito shape. the chunks of ham in his burrito were big and not very appetizing, like they didn't seem to be browned up before going in it. it just seems like this place has a feel of a home cook trying to be a restaurant experience. i can understand some things being done to save money, but it wasn't a great experience for the price. my chicken fried steak was either almost 9 or 10 dollars and i don't think it was a good deal. my husband's food was funky too for 7- something a plate. we won't be back.... never tried the burgers, but probably never will. lesson learned, some things you can do are okay to save money when running a business, but some things you shouldn't or the food just doesn't shine. money is hard to come by and when i go out i wanna like the experience. i wished i hadn't blown money there. :(

I love the staff a Addi's....... a honestly nice group of people. A small diner with a great breakfast menu. Always busy with Springfield customers, it has that comfortable feeling. The pancake is their "thing". A giant in the world of pancakes stops conversation when it arrives. My spouse loves the link sausages.
