Second visit today--breakfast--again----- Requested the same as my last visit two weeks ago; a ham/cheese 2 egg omelette with hash-browns, with 2 slices of toast. I requested a 'small' milk--guess they don't have 'small' glasses, and I received a large glass, 3/4 filled. And it was just right! Different cook, and that made a difference. Last visit the hash-browns were sparse and overcooked/dry. Today, an abundance of moist, golden spuds--divine! Last time the omelette was not quite cooked through and some runny egg whites, today it was perfectly cooked through, with an abundance of ham and cheese. I skipped the toast: diabetic and too many carbs! The waitress was otherwise occupied when I arrived, but the very nice cook lady took my order, and the waitress did return to confirm the details of my order, while talking on a cell phone. Remember, this is a very tiny little cafe in a very tiny community, that mostly serves regulars. I am a new and SOLID fan. Can't wait to try their bacon-cheese burgers.

The Little Chief is a great local diner open early and open until afternoon for breakfast and lunch. It's very cheery with the flowers in window boxes outside, the bright yellow booths inside and the old-fashioned countertop with swiveling seats. The menu is standard but the food is better than okay. Came for the first time recently and ordered French toast for my nephews. The bread was nice and thin and well-soaked in egg. I ate the leftovers cold and they were delicious! I had the breakfast sandwich, really good as well, with grilled sourdough, cheese, egg and bacon. The coffee is decent but hot and abundant, as is the conversation if you want it. Prices are reasonable, portions are perfect -- none of of the obscenely large breakfasts we've come to expect at diners, and the service is with a smile.

Little Chief is a local cafe in the small town of Siletz. It may look a little sketch from the outside but the food and service is great. I recommend the BLT or patty melt for lunch. Mmm mmm good. They even have a credit card machine now!

We visited Siletz on our way from a stay at the Oregon coast. We were curious about the town, as it's where the "Siletz Tribe" is headquartered, and adjacent to part of their reservation. We stopped in at the Little Chief for lunch, on a Saturday. The service was friendly, and helpful, in that the waitress recommended at potato salad, which as it turns out was homemade, and excellent. We both had hamburgers, and they also were great. Yes, it's a local hangout, and the staff knows everyone. The decor is old style diner, which in it's own way was endearing. We would recommend the Little Chief.

Great place for breakfast and lunch. Lots of locals there, good food, and friendly service. Specials on the board each day, but the standbys are always great. All the egg and pancake dishes at breakfast I've tried are fine. For lunch, a nice selection of soups and sandwiches. The coffee could be stronger, but it's fun in a local cafe to see folks come in, make more coffee, and walk around with the new pot serving strangers.
