Fultanos in Astoria was a family favorite growing up so I was happy to hear one had opened closer to Portland! Crunchy pizza loaded with toppings, always super good. We got our pizza to go so I can't say much about the service but the pizza is awesome :)

Great pizza. Very much like Fat Boys in St. Helens years ago which has always my standard for pizza excellence. Friendly alert staff. First time 3 months ago, have gone back 5 times!

went in for dinner tuesday eve 10-02-2012. Very friendly staff, greated and seated quickly. We had, pizza, wings, french dip and salad bar. The restaurant is clean and bright which is a nice change from some of the dark bars in the area. Food and drinks came out quickly. We each shared and talked about how much we each liked our food. If they can be this good all the time this will be my new fav place to eat.

The salad bar on Mondays is the best deal in town! I go here quite often - when I was in college I would force my family to go everytime I came home because it was the first pizza I had found that I actually enjoyed (BBQ chicken pizza ) the crust is always the perfect crunchiness & they have some of the best ranch I've ever had -- a must for me as I dip every bite of pizza in ranch lol. The only negative I have is last year my dad & I went multiple times to watch Blazers games & the sound in the bar is pretty terrible making it hard to hear what's going on in the game.

The Slice of Life pizza is an excellent option. I eat here about 2-3x/mo, so there are a few things I would change to increase star ratings. Mozzarella sticks and jalapeno poppers are consistently under-cooked, they really need to be cooked longer. I would rather have them oozing a bit than have them over-greasy from being under-cooked. Yay for chopped onions in the salad bar!! Salad bar as excellent as it is, can be messy at times. I would also consider adding a legume such as kidney or garbanzo beans. It's still way better than any other option in town and I am grateful for it. Customer service has always been top-notch. Kudos for that.

First time here. We were seated and handed menus. The menus were filthy. Could have used a good wiping, considering we needed to use our hands to eat. We ordered 2 beers on tap, small pizza, salad bar and a cheeseburger. The beer wasn't every cold. The salad bar wasn't anything special ( kind of a mess and out of a few things). However the pizza and burger were pretty good. The server was friendly and attentive.

Pizza is good and the air conditioning is cold! Beer is cold too! I've been searching for some real good pizza in Portland only to be disappointed. Moving to Scappoose solved my problem... Best Pizza in Portland right here.

We have a few pizza choices in our little town, but this is the best. The food is consistently high quality and they offer a fabulous garlic chicken one that is yummy.

There is not a lot of cool place to eat in the Columbia County. So, when Fultanos Pizza finally open, I was so excited. I tried their pizza and it was pretty good. I really like the dough and I am not even a big pizza fan. The modern look of the venue brings a little better atmosphere for Scappoose. I hope there would be more nice place to eat around here.

Huge food selection and amazingly friendly staff. I got the meatball sub and it was heavenly. Dena is a delight behind the bar. They know their beer and are expanding to 10 taps. They have cider, too!

Good pizza, the salad bar is decent, and their burgers & fries are great too. I find them to be a little pricey, but really not too bad for the overall quality of the food. We like their Monday night buffets on occasion, with my parents and our kiddos.

Such good food and very friendly service. Every time I go there with my family, they always remember me by name and always make me feel welcome. Plus their food is so good. I officially have a new favorite pizza because of them. Plus they have a variety of other good foods that are not pizza.

I finally was able to give this place another chance and I was very glad I did. We went for the pizza and salad bar buffet on a Friday and it was not only amazingly inexpensive, it was really, really good. It did not fit in my diet in any way imaginable, but I really didn't care. I just kept wanting more. The service this time was great, too. There was just one place in Scappoose that I always looked forward to eating at when I'm out that way, but now there are two. I hope our experiences in the future stay up at this level, because I want to keep going back.

I have been here a few times and in all honesty, the only thing good is the salad bar. Went the other night and got the salmon chowder which two of the staff said was good, and it was bland and tasted like flour. Kind of made me sick to my stomach. My husband got the halibut burger and you can tell it was frozen. Nothing here seems fresh, so if I go back I will stick with the salad bar because it is actually pretty good, especially for lunch.

Driving through town on the way to Portland stopped here for a quick lunch. Very clean, sweet young ladies taking good care of the customers. Jordan was our waitress, pleasant, polite, attentive. Salad bar looks great but we opted for a sandwhich. Food was fine, pleasant visit. Would come here again.

It's good for the area. That's not saying much. Have visited several times, and they're consistent at least. The pizza is greasy, and tends to be overcooked. The sandwiches and burgers are gut bombs. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with a good sandwich dripping grease (Italian Garbage Grinder), but these aren't them. Because they ARE better than most of the sit down places in the area, they are quite busy. Good for them, but means service is slow and you'll wait for simple things like a refill. Lots of comments about the salad bar. It's not much to talk about. Cheap iceberg lettuce and some spinach, not much in the way of toppings for salad. There are as many side dishes in the salad bar as there are toppings, so if you're looking for something other than salad, there are a decent number of choices. It's comparable to Wendy's salad bar. We ordered the Margherita pizza today, and asked for half without cheese. The half with cheese was absolutely covered, not what you would expect at all. The pizza was dry and hard, but not burnt, almost like a cracker. Rule number one of cooking a proper pizza, high temps for short periods of time (pizza ovens often go up to 700*). This was cooked at a lower temperature for too long, resulting in a dry, hard, and flat crust with no rise in it. Cheap ingredients combined with mediocre service. Your probably just as good with the McDonald's across the street, but if you absolutely need to sit down and eat something in the area, this is one of your better choices.

  • Angie S.

Pretty good pizza - great salad/pizza bar - friendly staff - modern. Only complaint: more attention should be paid to cleanliness of tables and floors during your busy times. It's no fun being seated at a sticky table with bits of food under the chairs and table.

    (4)
  • Joanne H.

Excellent in every way. Food is always good. Salad is always fresh. What I think it makes Fultano's really over-the-top is how thankful the owner always is when someone comes in. He always says thank you when you leave which I really appreciate.

Obsessed with this place when I am in Scappoose visiting my parents. AMAZING pizza! I recently discovered the Creamy Garlic Chicken pizza and ate an embarsssingly large quantity of it. Amazing food. Service is good, and lots of alcohol available i the bar! Love it

I've been to this establishment several times and honestly, I'm not a fan. The burger was way over cooked and tasted horrid on our first visit. The pizza is ok at best. Several times the red onions have tasted of soap. The salad bar is ok. I'd prefer to go to Longfellows for that and Pizza Vendor for Pizza. The pizza at Fultanos doesn't even compare. Service is good and prompt but unfortunately the food is sub par.

Solid food, great service, clean restaurant... consistently! I don't understand the reviews that say the food is not good. Their French dip is on crunchy artisan bread, fresh thick sliced roast beef and melted provolone cheese served hot and with a jus that is not too salty and not to thin. My son loves the waffle fries (I wish they had a normal French fry choice). The hamburgers are also served on great bread, are large and tasty. It is true the halibut if frozen, but any REAL northwesterner KNOWS to ask ANY restaurant if the fish is fresh, rookie move to the last reviewer. Almost everything else on the menu is freshly made. The pizza is not my favorite, its got a dry crust, almost like a Boboli but my husband really likes that style of pizza. His favorites are the taco and the Ruben. The favorite (it seems of many) is the salad bar. It is well stocked with fresh choices, loads of pre-made potato/pasta type salads and yummy dressings. The chef salad is solid, fresh, huge and yummy! When I get it to go I get a few meals out of it. Oh, I almost forgot...I had the fettuccine with chicken and mushrooms, it was spectacular! We were pleasantly surprised because there are no Italian restaurants near here. It it freshly made, no pre-made sauce on this. Yum! I would not pass up a chance to eat here, give it a try and make up your own mind.

Scappoose could definitely use more places like Fultanos. Unlike some of the other eateries/watering holes in town, there is no feel of wanton despair wafting through the air here. Service was a bit on the slow side (especially for alcoholic beverages), but the pizza was tasty and priced well.

    (3)
  • Rachel B.

Wow....not sure how they could get it this bad, but it's terrible. The crust is like cardboard, the sauce is bad and way too much low-quality cheese.

I went the first evening they opened in Scappoose since it was less then a mile from home. They obviously needed sometime to get their bearings. My waitress has no serving experience. This is quite evident by her putting the beers down while holding the glass at the rims. She put my water straw on the tray with the beers ans the straw was soaked with beer. Oh, please, the water tasted like beer! like that was acceptable for a person that doesn't drink beer? They young man working with her in the same station admittedly said they had no trainer. The kitchen help look like babies ( I must be getting old). The food was coming out cold. We had a long wait for food, at least 45 minutes. I will try them again in a couple of weeks to be fair. The 2nd time (two weeks later), I went alone and sat in the bar. The bartender approached me quickly. Offered me a beverage and took my order immediately because I knew what I wanted. French Dip came out in good time and it was hot and delicious. Bartender filled my water glass every time he saw it almost empty. This experience was much much better. The bartender obviously had experience and I am glad I came back. The stars is a reflection of my average of my two visits.

Yum! I do love pizza. And usually with my sis we go to another pizza place, but she wanted to go to Fultanos and I decided to give it a try. We had the Hawaiian (I forget their name for it) and another with pepperoni, sausage and olives. What makes Fultanons a win for me? They do not skip out on toppings. I love olives. LOVE OLIVES. So when my pizza came out covered in olives with olives dropping off every time I picked up a slice I was happy. The crispy crust. Oh my gosh, it's perfect. My kids ate their whole slice and asked for more. I have picky eaters friends, picky picky eaters (like the kind who take a look at a menu at places like Red Robin and order "just apples please.") and they all ate plenty and nobody asked for something else. That's a win for me when we are out. Plenty of flavor and shakers of chillies for those who require a little more spice (like me). I really enjoyed this pizza. I am a sucker for a crispy crust and olives. So, no complaints here!

  • Deana G.

Great food great prices great drinks great service. Jody busts her butt to make sure everyone is happy and taken care of. Everyone works as a team here. Great atmosphere. Only complaint is the potato salad is not good. It use to be awesome and now every time it's watery and the potatoes are too big; where did the amazing potato salad go? Other than that its so nice to have a restaurant with such variety and great service in our little town.

This business has no place in my hometown! It's always exciting when a small town gets a new restaurant. You have high hopes and dreams which mostly end up in disappointment and repeat visits with more hope and greater disappointment. The reason Fultanos doesn't get 1 star is because two of the wait staff that have served me were wonderful and the food isn't disgusting. The problem with this place is that the food just isn't good. It's plain, bland, and underwhelming - especially for the price. The other issue is that the service is fairly slow, starting when you walk in the door and wonder if anyone cares to ever seat you. Then you get seated, you order, and you get the wrong food. That sucks. The wait staff fixes it. Wash, rinse, repeat. It's been the same every time I visit and I'm a sucker for hope but they will get no more of my $$$. All hope is gone.

  • Elaine D.

Unbelievable value. We had lunch buffet...When we walked in waitress asked us what pizza we wanted...they cooked up a loaded pizza to our order! That's not "normal" for a buffet! Crust is not too thick and not too thin. Each pizza has it's own unique savory taste...not just another version of the other one. Salad bar had very piquant tasting items....on an Italian theme. I have NEVER had anything this good even at a higher price. The staff treated us like we were paying $50 and the owner was on hand...I like that! Very clean, bright and snazzy

Great Pizza, Great salad bar and lots of other great menu choices, haven't tried them all yet, and this restaurant delivers! What I appreciate the most is the happy welcoming feel when you walk in the door. I have never gone to Fultano's without being welcomed the minute we walk in the door. It has an energy all it's own which is so important for repeat costumers. If you don't feel like going out just give them a call and they'll bring dinner to your door. Scappoose has been waiting a long time for Fultano's, glad you're finally here.

    (4)
  • Steve B.

That was fantastic. We really enjoyed the Spice of Life pizza. Nice balance of hot and sweet. And they deliver!! No other pizza joint in this town stands a chance!

  • Ashley C.

WOW! I gotta say I used to go to Fultanos as a kid in Clatskanie, but I had no idea that they had more than just pizza! First of all I ordered a crispy chicken salad... HUGE! If you're one person I recommend the half but it is delicious! They have the best ranch I have ever had but that I already knew! ;) I also ordered the chicken strips and waffle fries.... I promise it was the best I ever had! Not only was the food amazing, but they delivered it to my home which is so convenient for a single mother of 2... And on top of that the food was still fresh and hot when it was delivered! AMAZING! It is definitely the place to go in Scappoose! P.S. The employees deserve good tips because their service is excellent!

I thought this was a good place to have lunch at, but once again I was sadly mistaken. I waited over ten minutes before someone decided to come over to my table. When she finally showed up she said that she did not see me sitting there. Her body language and her facial expression turned me off. I wanted to give this restaurant a chance, but I'm sick of their bad customer service. I'm not returning, because I don't want to waist my hard earn money on a restaurant that gives terrible service.

I ordered a pizza to be delivered to my sister at work. Not only was it done quickly and professionally but it was delicious! Tons of toppings and the crust was perfect. If you are ever in Scappoose, I highly recommend eating here.

I like to go on long drives once in a while (esp Sunday afternoons) and today I wound up in Scapoose (about 15 miles away). Yelped a few places fpr lunch and chose Fultanos..It was a nice clean place (Seemed liked a newly built building). The waitresses were nice. I ordered Chicken Alfredo.. and a side order of Marinara (I feel alfredo is bland by itself). The waitress saw me dumping the marinara on to the alfredo and mentioned that they have some thing called Aurora sauce that I could order next time.. never heard of it before (guess you learn new things each day).. The bread sticks were great.. alfredo however was somewhat grainy. Hence the 3 star rating..

That was fantastic. We really enjoyed the Spice of Life pizza. Nice balance of hot and sweet. And they deliver!! No other pizza joint in this town stands a chance!

Nice atmosphere for a family, but pizza was one of the worst I've ever had. Salad was also not impressive.
