Great food and very kind family that runs it. Place could use a good scrub down in lobby.
Without a doubt the worst Mexican food I have ever tasted. The plate was a pool of food all covered with a mole' sauce that was dreadful. Even the chile relent was covered with it. The ground beef was tasteless and the whole presentation was terrible. Oh well live and learn, we will never be back.
AKA Burrito USA, this place always has friendly service and food that is made fresh to order. If you don't feel like Mexican fare then don't overlook the burgers. FYI, half of the restaraunt has been converted into a sort of bodega stocked with Hispanic wares.

Nice place simple good food. Limited seating and menu.
Our Friday night spot with friends! Our favorite servers work here and some of our favorite people to visit with go here! The steak sandwich is 100% amazing 100% of the time. Salad bar is always fresh and good and it is a lucky place to drop a couple dollars into the poker machine! We usually leave here happy, full and with more money than we came with! Don't ever change Longfellows...we love you!
Best rib eye in town! I always go here when I'm craving a good steak. Usually the service is great but one time I had a server (possibly new) who I had to give my steak back 3 times before it was cooked properly. Besides that I've always had good service & great food.

Okay is been a while, but I'm now hooked. The staff here is great and knows who we are every time we come here. It's not always about the food, it's about a combination of both service and food. Great local Mexican joint.
We've always had wonderful service here and always the freshest food. Great place to eat!!
The service is amazing at Ixtapa. All the staff is super friendly and the food comes out so quickly. The No-Name Burrito is the best.

The food is good, especially for the price. But the customer service wasn't all that. I asked for a bag for my to go order and got a bag with a sigh, ok maybe she's having a bad day. Then my son saw they had pizza slices and asked for one so I asked to add a slice of pizza to my order. It was given to me on a paper plate, not really convenient for driving home with but we made it. Other than that the experience was decent.
What can I say... It tastes great every time, always consistently good pizza. Excellent customer service from order to delivery.
They have good pizza. I can never seem to get a price for my order when I call it in and the price never seems to be the same If they could figure put a way to calculate my order total before I arrive to pick it up I would bump up my review to 4 stars.

I convinced my parents and Grandmother to stop in. I tried the spicy chicken bento with noodles and everyone else tried some other things. I also had a chai tea. It was all very good and will definitely be a lunch stop when I'm back in town!
It's good & the owner is a dear sweet young local entrepreneur lady! Way to go miss Amanda!
I think this is a great place to eat. Great coffee and bento plus noodles.

Fultanos in Astoria was a family favorite growing up so I was happy to hear one had opened closer to Portland! Crunchy pizza loaded with toppings, always super good. We got our pizza to go so I can't say much about the service but the pizza is awesome :)
Great pizza. Very much like Fat Boys in St. Helens years ago which has always my standard for pizza excellence. Friendly alert staff. First time 3 months ago, have gone back 5 times!

Ichabod’s Restaurant

52049 Columbia River Hwy
Scappoose, 97056
Reviews:
There must be a million little diners just like Ichabod's all across this land of ours. If there's anything in a name, every time I've dined @ Ichabod's over the years, I have subconsciously (maybe not so subconsciously) expected---no, FERVENTLY hoped is a better word-- that our server would have a prominent Adam's Apple. So far, that has just never happened. Damn! The problem is, Yelp has made the likelihood of my dining at place's like Ichabod's far less likely and less frequent. Ichabod's is not terrible, but then they ain't great shakes, neither, baby. Why go back over and over to middle of the road, when there's so many other places yet to check out? Reviewing the menu for Ichabod's would not be very entertaining, and I'm afraid, even less so, for you to read. There's breakfast pretty near any time you want; there's Burgers, fries, soups salads, entree specials like Chicken cacciatore or the occasional prime rib, etc etc. Lukewarm reviews are in many respects the most difficult for me to write, so tell you what, if anyone out there notices any new wait-staff that are obviously blessed in the Adam's Apple department, please notify me at once. THAT would be well worth a return visit to this fine little beacon shining out of the provincial burg of Scappoose....and I promise to set to the task of writing up a review worthy of the event, at once...
Had dinner here for the first time. It was not great. The onion rings were good, otherwise everything else was not. Maybe their breakfast is better??
Service is generally good and the portions are a good size. The food is pretty good too. I suggest getting the Mexican omlette.

Well I have tried this place 3 times. Each time I was let down some way. The beer was skunked from the tap need to clean beer taps more often. The food was very spendy for what I got. Tacos were a joke. Just lettuce With very small amount of meat. When I told the server about the beer That it was skunked she said that would be 3 bucks I paid left no tip. I won't be back.
Had the fish tacos while watching the duck game. Excellent food and service. Nicole was the best waitress ever.
You know I purposely waited a few days before I decided to write my review for this establishment because when I left I was really angry and wanted to give myself a few days to "cool off" before I wrote possibly a review I might later regret. First of all I realize how tough the restaurant business is -- it takes a lot of hard work and dedication to make a name for yourself in this business. Secondly, when I got to a restaurant for a meal I don't expect 5 stars every time I sit down for a meal. But I do expect the following: 1. The place be clean. 2. The staff to be kind and customer service oriented. 3. The food to be edible and hot food served hot and cold food served cold. 4. If I order Calamari to be served Calamari not "Chicken fries" that are passed off as Calamari. 5. Some sort of manager or owner to be on site in case there is an issue who can make decisions for the establishment. 6. Be prepared to make the wrong right -- either make a new dish or refund money for food that is not edible. 7. Above all be fair and LISTEN to the customer when there is a complaint. 8. Last but not least have some integrity. I don't think those things are too much to ask or expect as a restaurant. In return I will: 1. Be polite, respectful and considerate to the staff. 2. Ask questions about the things on the menu I need clarification about. 3. When asked if I need a minute to look over the menu be honest and say yes if I need time and don't make my server stand around for 5 minutes while I peruse the menu. That is all about being respectful to the server. 4. If something doesn't taste okay -- be considerate and reasonable in regards to the complaint. 5. If there are any questions about the bill ask about them promptly. 6. Even if the food wasn't up to snuff but the service was great don't rip off the server by being stingy with a tip - I always always tip at least 20% on a bill even if the food isn't grand. 7. Have integrity and listen to my server, under respect the fact my server is a person first and my server second -- not a slave or an indentured SERVANT. 8. Always remember to say thank you. My experience with Varsity Grill was just plain icky. And here's why: We arrived and it wasn't terribly crowded. There was the football crowd mainly in the bar, two tables seated above the bar in the restaurant section. A long table in the back with balloons that said clearly RESERVED. One of the servers said to us "Seat yourselves where you are most comfortable." So we selected the table we always select which was right in front of the long reserved table. We had no longer been seated and looking at the menu when another server said -- "Oh well could you please move, this table even though its not reserved is for this other large group that is coming in so they can ALL sit together." Not wanting to make a stink -- I said "Okay, sure" So we picked up our menus and water and moved four tables down. We were seated and ordered, deep fried calamari, a bowl of chili, a cup of chicken soup, a hamburger, and a French dip for the table -- there were three of us. The calamari were actually chicken fries -- I swear to God. They were not any calamari I'd have ever seen - and they tasted like chicken. The cup of chicken noodle soup was so salty it wasn't edible. It was as if someone poured salt into the soup. The Chili was sugary sweet as if there was cups of sugar added -- that was inedible. The hamburger wasn't seasoned at all. And the French dip -- the roast beef was literally like rubber. We tried to eat -- and ate about a quarter of the hamburger, and French Dip. We left the soup, and Chili. The Chicken Fries were edible. It didn't take long for us to realize we just needed to cut our losses talk to the manager or owner, give feedback and go home. I approached the bar and asked if the manager was around -- Nope - no manger I was told. I then asked if the owner was around -- Nope the owner wasn't around either. I explained my situation to one of the servers and she said she's go back in the kitchen to see what she could do. A few minutes later she appeared and said "I can offer you a dessert to go for free. But other than that I can't do anything for you." I looked at her and said "Really? Even for the food that was inedible?" She said again "I am sorry there is nothing I can do for you." So I paid my 31.76 bill (I think it was that much) - and I left ZERO for the tip, and I told her as I left that they had lost three customers. And we left. Oh and the big table reserved for the big party -- they never showed and I watched two other couples who were told "Sit where you'd like" sit at our original table and asked to move. WTF?! Really?! I liked this place much better when it was a pizza place. Never ever going back - not if its the last restaurant on the planet. I wish I could give it zero stars or negative stars.

Where can you go for soggy greasy fries, dripping drink glasses, screwed up orders and imitation ice cream? Scappoose Dairy Queen!! And why would I even consider taking my grandkids here just because they wanted to eat here. ... I should have cranked up the Stones, put the top down and taken them 12 miles to Burgerville. Yes Burgerville where the ice cream is Tillamook and the fries are hot. The burgers are pretty good and drippy too! As they say, Dairy Queen is riDQ lous.....yes DQ.....you are...
Decent DQ. I did however get food poisoning from their cheese quake blizzard so stay away from that.
Noisy, cold, food smells odd usually, and grumpy workers. My mouth gets numb when I eat ice cream. The ice cream is too cold. I advice getting a heater for the freezer in which they keep their ice cream in.

We frequent this Subway a lot, but in the last year it has gone downhill...actually it never was up hill. For the longest time they couldn't give receipts, they are always out of cookies at dinner time, or they only have 1 chocolate chip left. Lastly we tried to go today and they could not accept credit cards. No one greets you as you enter the establishment, which is very rude! I wish someone else could open up a competing sandwich shop to show them how it's supposed to work!!!
This place is taken off of my list to return too, because these workers clearly does not know how to make a salad. Who puts mayo on a salad instead of ranch dressing? Both of these dressings don't even look the same. Apparently to the person making my salad it does, because that is what was put on my salad instead of ranch dressing. That was disgusting, I hate mayo, especially on my salad. I told them about it, but I was such in a hurry that I left discussed. I did not want them to make a new one, because my lunch was already over, so I just left.
Been here a few times through the the drive-thru and never had anything but good service on par with any other Subway I've been to.
