What a great find in Sandy Oregon! Good fresh sandwiches with stellar ingredients served on good bread. I had the Roast Beef on Wheat with fresh vegetables and hummus. Very good and I am craving one now. Husband had Turkey on ciabatta bread with avocado, Swiss cheese and fresh vegetables with a good crunch. Took home a scone for breakfast the next day - was late nite snack instead. Their gluten free products are very popular - they will take orders ahead of time. Healthy and tasty in Sandy!

This is a new business established in sandy, Oregon. My family stopped by as we love stopping at espresso places in portland area (sandy) . Not only are mochas are delicious but the food as well. We had the "pocket pies"- this is homemade and made from scratch - we absolutely love the fresh food here! It's rare find places the actually make it from scratch - I HIGHLY recommend this place. We were only here for a couple days - for vacation - we wish we came earlier as the owners made us feel like we're at home. I truly enjoyed coming here and place do come by and have their fresh food and delicious coffee, espressos, and teas. Drop on by and say "hi" to Carl and Sandy Jacobs owners of magic bean bistro.

Absolutely love this place. The owner made me a sandwich today that really hit the spot... said that she hand picked the tomato from her local community garden last night. Tasted like a REAL tomato. Dave's Killer Bread, top notch turkey, pepper jack cheese with spinach, tomato and avocado! The coffee is stellar too. This place is a great alternative to fast food. Live, grow and eat local!

This location has had a hard time with being successful, which is unfortunate because there have been some really good coffee shops here. I don't want to talk bad about the Magic Bean Bistro, and I know that they are newly opened, but I think there are a lot of things they can do to improve their business. I have been in a few times because I'm all for supporting local businesses, and each time it has taken FOREVER to get my food/drink. There is only one person working at a time, (at first a woman and more recently a young man) and they are scrambling around like a chicken with their heads cut off trying to get orders out. For instance, I have stood in line while the server was in the back no where to be seen, taking forever to make a fried egg and toast and as I waited a couple people got fed up from waiting and just walked out. So as far as advice goes, it may be wise to have two people working at a time so that one person can be out front and taking orders/making drinks at all times and the other can make the "meals" in the back. Another issue that occurred was the steamer broke so NO DRINKS, maybe it's just me, but this is a coffee shop and that is what the majority of people will come here for. So even when no one could order a drink, we STILL waited while the server spent 10 minutes at a time in the back. Another issue was forgetting people's food and/or having to be reminded several times! Those are my suggestions if a business wants good word of mouth and to stay in business. Other than that, it's a nice atmosphere, and everything I've tried has tasted pretty good.
