AntFarm Café and Bakery

Ant farm is awesome! Beside the huge amounts of youth and community service they do, they also feed me :) Fresh local ingredients for their killer sandwiches salads and soups. Eat here now! Especially if you ride sandy ridge trails!
AntFarm Cafe is so crazy great I wish they would open another in west Portland. This is a must stop at restaurants on the way to Bend or Mt Hood. The killer gelato is made with all fresh ingredients so intensely bursting with flavor that one might forget that it is gelato The atmosphere is lodge like and artsy people hangout here all day
This place was not on my radar despite many trips to portland. Excellent soup, sandwiches and salads by a non profit that supports high risk youth. Awesome!

I can never get enough of this place! They make the best pastries! I always get a cinnamon roll with the cream cheese frosting. It's so wonderful. They make chocolate eclairs that are so light and fluffy, enormous cookies, and the darlingest little cakes! If you want a sandwich, you can fill out this little card to say what you want on it and they'll make it for you. They also do coffee. They even put bacon on their doughnuts sometimes. If you're passing through, you definitely should check this place out. You would not regret it! There is a restaurant that is separate from the bakery, just keep that in mind if you decide to drop by.
Split a turkey sandwich with my wife. It was real turkey. Followed by a chocolate brownie cup cake, that was rich and gooey. My daughter had the red velvet cupcake and loved it. The service was very helpful.
we stopped in the little town of Sandy, OR on the mt hood hwy from Bend to Brookings and wanted a taste of local flavor rather than a chain. and we got exactly what we wanted. we went to the saloon, not the restaurant. this place epitomizes small town charm and home cookin'. first thing i did after a long drive was hit the head--and was surprised to find a really nice, clean, working, stocked bathroom. always nice. next thing was to get a drink. was stoked to find a fully stocked bar and a really nice selection of PNW microbrews. my girlfriend had a lemon-drop type drink i didnt expect in a small-town bar but made expertly. after ordering i was even more stoked to get really nice, friendly, chatty (but not overly so) service. typical diner fare but homade fresh and very very well. with lots of little treats and surprises. check out the pix for menu shots. i had the chicken strip supreme sandwich--came with bacon on a fresh sourdough roll. omg. it was perfect. crunchy and warm and perfect. homade bbq sauce is a nice touch. soup du jour was hungarian mushroom. we had planned to stop once more before bend but didn't need to..we didn't even get dinner once we were there we were still stuffed. if i ever find myself in Sandy, OR again, i will be back. oh yeah--the desserts looked killer: fifteen layer chocolate cake bigger than my leg.

My grandkids and I enjoy their maple nut Pershings! They are large, maple lovers icing and a bunch of cinnamon in its wraps! The original Joe is a personal friend of mine and he hooked me on these forty years ago! Perfect delight!
Delicious donuts, but beware of the Grumps. Sometimes it is VERY clear who got up at the crack of dawn to make the donuts. I like the powdered filled with raspberry jam.
Visited Oregon for my first time last month and was excited to try VooDoo and Blue Star donuts... let me STOP you before you waste your time and money! Both are highly overrated and overhyped! Thankfully a local told us about Joe's and OMG donut heaven! Frosting was perfect not overly sweet and the cake part of donut tasted like a donut with lots of flavor! I especially love the Marionberry? One :) This is THE donut spot top go to in Oregon! Trust me and the locals lol

Great food, great atmosphere, great people. The kids had a great time with the rock crawlers. Did I mention it's great!
What a great place to bring the family and have fun plus good food and adult beverages. Had a blast crawling around with friends. Thanks for the good memories.
I consider myself pretty picky, and I really like Crawlers. They are small, family and I felt like I was visiting a friend's place more than a restaurant. The food was pretty good. I like that you can BYO rc crawler. The pluses : comfortable, casual, affordable, fun, family friendly. Great brews! Yummy vanilla porter, I had 2 and didn't drive home. The bads : A tad slow. So learn some patience, kick back or play. When it's busy it takes a few minutes to get taken care of, so if you want fast and unhappy food McDogfood's is a few blocks away. Take a break, try it out. You're supporting a local family here and your kiddos will be thrilled.

Try My Thai Restaurant

38753 Proctor Blvd
Sandy, 97055
Reviews:
I recently spent 3 mo in Thailand and I must confess while I have had a favorite thai place in portland for years... This place, way out in Sandy, has surpassed it. Their food takes me back to the authentic homemade foods of Thailand. They take time to make their own curries and food while other restaurants use paste. The difference is very noticeable. They have amazing customer service and as so sweet that my experience is more than just good service - it's like sitting down with good friends or having a meal at a favorite family members home. These people and their food are very much worth the drive. Try their Panang curry it's like a thai party in your mouth. Pad Thai was amazing - authentic flavor. Pad se ewe was authentic - but I didn't care for the authentic pad se ewe... In Thailand it was never sweet or wet enough- and it's the same here but I can't blame them for authenticity! Massuman curry was delightful. Best crab cheese won tons we've had anywhere... Their "seafood" curries are packed with tasty and recognizable seafood... You know what I mean. At the end of the meal they bring you the cutest and tastiest piece of cheesecake that my cheesecake hating hubby gobbled up.
Redemption is theirs! After reading some other reviews after my poor experience decided to try it again. Sexy crab wontons were amazing. Pad prik king was really good too and was made with fresh veggies.
Good food! Took a little time for us to get our food but well worth the wait. Next time your passing thru Sandy, make it one of your stops!

The guy who owns this place is so nice and goes out of his way to make sure you have what you need. I stopped in here for an ice cream cake for my husband, during the summer and he made sure I had dry ice for it to get it home on the 20 minute car ride. The ice cream is never frosted over like some locations I've been too. It goes through the rush periods, but nothing crazy like you might see in Portland. I should be on the stop home after a day on the mountain, sugar the kids up for the final leg of your trip home.

Thai Home Restaurant

Reviews:
I live in Sandy and this is one of our regular stops! They don't serve alcohol but serve one hell of a dinner! I LOVE the warm tapioca like dessert they serve and front porch seating is wonderful on a warm day~ We're always treated first class!
This place is amazing. They have a great lunch special. They have some of the best Pad Ke Mao (there titled Spicy Noodles) I've had anywhere. And rest of the menu is quite good. Also, service is always stellar, and the people here are nicest around. Only downside is that the curry is pretty average. They changed ownership recently, and though a lot improved in quality (most noticably the interior was re-done), the curry, which used to be awesome, is now about the same as every other place. All in all, best overall Thai place I've ever been at.
Thai food isn't exactly hard to come by anymore, but Thai Home is as good as you'll find out there. It's not super-cheap, but the prices are definitely reasonable. But the best part is definitely the service. Every time I've gone in the owner was at the front register with a smile. He's happily offered me water and tapioca while I wait for my order (even if I'm just picking up take-out!). I live about five minutes away from this place and drop in often, and I've never had a bad experience. Very highly recommended!

Last night my husband and I were debating making our own Calzones but decided it was too late and we wanted them quicker! We looked on the Wall Street menu and decided what combo of "toppings" we wanted to fill them. I asked for a large for him, they said it would take about 45 minutes. In about 30 minutes we were pleasantly surprised to hear a knock at our door, we were greeted with excellent customer service! When we opened the boxes we were so shocked at just how huge the large Calzone was, like the size of half a pizza. They were absolutely delicious too, we'll definitely be making that call again and again!
I haven't been here recently but it's one of my favorite places to get food on my way back from the mountain. Not only is their pizza really good, but their customer service is excellent. I'm also a huge fan of their Garlic Rolls.
Coming down from a hike and dreaming of pizza...and BAM - there is Wall Street. Delicious pizza, great service - only tiny down is that it was cold inside.

What a great find in Sandy Oregon! Good fresh sandwiches with stellar ingredients served on good bread. I had the Roast Beef on Wheat with fresh vegetables and hummus. Very good and I am craving one now. Husband had Turkey on ciabatta bread with avocado, Swiss cheese and fresh vegetables with a good crunch. Took home a scone for breakfast the next day - was late nite snack instead. Their gluten free products are very popular - they will take orders ahead of time. Healthy and tasty in Sandy!
Called the number today, it's been disconnected.
This is a new business established in sandy, Oregon. My family stopped by as we love stopping at espresso places in portland area (sandy) . Not only are mochas are delicious but the food as well. We had the "pocket pies"- this is homemade and made from scratch - we absolutely love the fresh food here! It's rare find places the actually make it from scratch - I HIGHLY recommend this place. We were only here for a couple days - for vacation - we wish we came earlier as the owners made us feel like we're at home. I truly enjoyed coming here and place do come by and have their fresh food and delicious coffee, espressos, and teas. Drop on by and say "hi" to Carl and Sandy Jacobs owners of magic bean bistro.

I think the food was bad and tne tea was not good the service was bad. I will not go back there in my life time.
Normally I would not go to a Chinese restaurant in an unfamiliar place but this was the only place that I Yelp'ed and some potential. See below: What I ordered: #1 combo which is chow mien, fried rice & egg foo yung. Pros: -price to quantity ratio was excellent. -taste was above decent. -service was pretty good. Cons: -the hours could be confusing, it's not in Yelp so I called in before I went in due to the confusion. Conclusion: -If you are around the area and cannot find anything better, go here!
This is by far the best Chinese food! I've grown up in this town and have watched this place continue to stay in business through the years when the others could not. I love the vegetable chow yuk and crab puffs and my husband and kids are huge Mongolian beef fans! The price can be spendy but worth it if you only go out occasionally.
