My first time eating here since I've been in Roseburg. All I have to say is amazing! The portions were huge for the price, I was very surprised. Most definitely coming back again. I loved the Mongolian beef, very well seasoned and tasted great. Also was enjoying the spicy mustard that came with our BBQ pork, the flavor was perfect.

Awesome- and fast delivery-- a plus for a weary traveler Very fast delivery! In fact, the Sizzling Rice Soup was still hot 20 min after delivery. But when it cooled down, yum! Yum! I also ordered the crab wontons which were very good. And huge portions sizes!!! I would recommend!!!

Better Chinese food out East. pork fried rice was bland as was the egg roll with the thick crust. Price was good, friendly service and fast delivery

Come hungry! Really big portions, friendly attentive wait staff, soup was served as our order was being taken. Food was pretty good for typical Chinese American cuisine. Did I mention the portions are HUGE?? The Mar Far chicken made with dark meat was moist and flavorful, never had it with dark meat before, it was unusual. The pork sub gum had very fresh, crunchy veggies. Pan fried noodles were good. Pork fried rice was tasty. Did I mention you better be HUNGRY, really hungry??

It has a very large amount of food but the taste is so so...the hot sour soup is weird...

Lee's doesn't look like much from outside. Inside's not great either. But I guess they took the money they saved on an architect and interior designer and spent it on cooking lessons. And wait staff lessons. They have really, really great food. Giant servings at low prices. If you're hungry, like Chinese and are anywhere close to Roseburg, consider trying this place. Ate here with my family a few years ago, we took my mother-in-law there when she was visiting from out of state. As far as cleanliness goes, I wasn't very impressed. The service was slow with not enough check-ins. And the food? Not very good. All of the fried food had the same taste/flavor to it, like maybe the oil they used to fry it in was old and/or in need of a change, or perhaps they used the same oil to fry their fish as they did for their other fried foods (which, to me, is a big no-no -- even McDonald's knows that). I also think that maybe they didn't have their fryers turned up hot enough, which will cause the fried food to turn out soggy (which it was) from soaking up the oil. Basically we just salvaged what we could of the meal since we were hungry, paid the bill and left, with no plans to return in the future. I have to say, I believe that is the only time I can remember leaving a Chinese restaurant empty-handed with no doggy bags or boxes full of leftovers. I would not recommend eating at this restaurant.

This place is great! Very affordable lunch specials, around $5 and great value for dinner, especially in groups as the portions are large. The food is delicious, the service is very friendly and quick. My favorite is the mar far chicken and again, I love that you get so much food for your money. An average dish is around $7-$9 and could easily be shared between two people. They also have a variety of daily combinations specials which are not only a great value but a fun way to try a variety of different dishes. I've never had a bad experience here.

We enjoyed our lunch here. The dishes that we tried (spicy chicken, sweet & sour pork, kung pao chicken) were flavorful and served in generous portions. The service was pretty nice. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. The price was reasonable. Our bill averaged out to around $8 per person.

Bbq pork very dry. No complexity to any dishes. Ordered from the traditional menu and ginger sauce tasted like soy sauce-no ginger flavor at all. Vegetables tasted fresh, bok choy and broccoli. Hot and sour soup should have been called hot and celery. People were very nice. Four star review overall must be based on quantity of food and price.

Very tasty American style Chinese food, at great prices. Took my family out to dinner there and fed a family of four adults for about $40 with left overs. Everyone at the table was impressed with the quality, and quantity of delicious food. I had sweet and sour pork, pork fried rice, General Tso chicken, and a shrimp egg roll. The pork was good size chunks of well cooked pork (not the dried out chewy pieces at some places). The pork fried rice doesn't have a lot of veggies or meat in it it but was very tasty. Everything was very good!

Stopped here late Sunday evening on our drive from the Bay Area to Portland -- we were hurting pretty badly from all of the awful in-transit food we'd consumed over the past few days (we had made the drive down just two days prior) and couldn't bring ourselves to try any of the Roseburg diners that were open. In-transit Chinese is almost always a big mistake. But not this time! They were super friendly and attentive, and we were thrilled to get decent Ma Po Tofu (麻婆豆腐), Dry Cooked String Beans (干煸四季豆), and Garlic Bok Choy (蒜煮白菜). Great home-style Chinese dishes to soothe an unhappy traveler's stomach.

Huge portion and delicious! We ordered the gourmet dinner special and it was very good. For about $12 per person, we had an appetizer(fried wontons and teriyaki chicken), a sizzling rice soup(highly recommended), a huge beef and onion stir fry, a huge BBQ fried noodles, a veggie shrimp and chicken sizzling plate, and a huge chicken tender kind of dish, plus a huge bowl of white rice. I highly recommend this place if you travel on I-5 in Oregon and feel like having a yummy Chinese dinner or lunch. It's about 8 minutes off I-5 at exit 124.

During our Oregon road trip, my friend wanted some Vietnamese food, but they didn't have any around this area, so we stopped here instead. The place looks kind of old, dirty, and outdated. We were given complimentary jasmine tea, which was brewed nicely. Their menu is extensive, so that gave us plenty of options to choose from. We ended up getting the sizzling rice soup and shrimp lo mein to share. The portions are really big and the food came out pretty fast too. The sizzling soup was okay, and the lo mein was not that great to me. We ate the rest of the noodles for breakfast and it tasted better that morning. Service was nice, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come back here.

This place is great. The servers are friendly, and always go above and beyond to make sure the guests are happy. The food is incredible, and portion sizes are very good. Overall a great value, and wonderful food. Oh and if you like hot mustard, theirs is some of the best EVER!

Not a very traditional Chinese cuisine, but some dishes are good. It's around average in big towns. Considering the restaurant is in a town like this, I think it deserves a four star.

We stopped here on a road trip, and were very pleasantly surprised. This place doesn't look like much, but the portions were HUGE, and the food was really great. Excellent service as well. I highly recommend it!

On the way to Seattle from California , we stopped for dinner at Lees. I wish I didn't. I am sorry to say but the food was terrible. I don't know if the chef had a bad day or something bad happened because I can't imagine a restaurant can be running with this kind of food. Hopefully today was a bad day for them. All the food we ordered were salty. The beef was not fresh and felt like rubber. The only good thing was the price and the crab wonton. I really hope this place doesn't let the reputation of Chinese food down.

Good ol' Americanized Chinese food! We were starving on our trip back from N. Cali and Yelp helped me find something to keep us full for the remaining 3 hours home. Quick service and (almost) everything tasted as expected. Got the 4 item combo for $9. It came with a soup and I decided to go with the hot and sour. That was the only thing that was disappointing. It was much sweeter than expected, but it did have a kick. I decided to go with chicken lo mein, sweet & sour chicken, steamed rice and pork egg foo young. There was so much food it was just piled on top of each other. The egg foo young patty was as big as a cup saucer. Everything was good, though. Veggies were crisp and the fried stuff wasn't dripping in grease. Had I done this meal over, I'd have just skipped the sweet & sour chicken and just gotten the mar far chicken (sauce less fried chicken pieces) and dipped it in their "pink sauce". If I'm back in the area, I'd stop by here again. Just make sure you work out a "deuce" before you hit the road. Because like most Chinese food, you don't want that feeling to hit when you're driving over the passes with no where to pull over. :)

I am from China, so I know good Chinese food. Ok not really, but I love when people write that. Anyways, I love this place! Super CHEAP for a college student on a budget. the build your own combo is on point. 2 item with beef broccoli and egg foo young for $6.75 at dinner is great, and it even came with two choices of soup, I opted for the egg flower. 2 items may not seem like a lot of food but I couldn't even finish it all. Everything tasted great, and very good service. Building and booths are a little rundown but for the price I don't even care. I will be back next time I drive south on I-5!

Great American style Chinese food. We stopped by this place while driving through Roseburg and it was a great choice, especially with the fact that it was kind of late. The portions were well priced and enormous. The service was great and the place was clean. All 5 of us were extremely satisfied with our dishes.

I was originally going to give them only 4 stars, but bumped it up to five for the outstanding service! Our waitress was so friendly and kind and worked with our table's high demands. We ordered the Dinner B special for four, and there was SOOO MUCH FOOD. We definitely over estimated how much we could eat! The sweet and sour pork and shrimp/lobster sauce were my favorite. The crab wontons were a bit disappointing--it was mostly wonton, and hardly any crab. The pork lo mein was a delightful surprise! This spot is great not only for the locals, but tourists as well.

My hubby and I read the reviews and thought we would give Lees a try. We each had a combination dinner and were very pleased. We had a ton of good food and the price was incredible. We will go there agAin.

Lee's is my favorite Chinese Restaurant, so I'll try and be fair. Lee's has daily lunch specials that cost $5. The meal is a combo that comes with hot tea and egg flower soup. This is usually more than one person can eat unless they are really hungry. They use no MSG in their food, which is great. Their prices are excellent and you get plenty of left-overs. My wife and I will share lunch for about $6 (we order an extra soup) and still have lots to take home. This isn't a fancy restaurant with posh ambiance, but the friendly service and great food is what I go there for. For a first time date this isn't the place to necessarily go, but I do know many of have went there for a first date and it worked out for them. Many people either love this place or hate it. I think that's because their style of cooking isn't what many would consider "traditional American-Chinese" food. The people I talked to who don't care for Lee's don't like the plating of the food because it's not what they see at other places. The taste is never the issue. I always suggest Lee's to friends/family when they come to town.

If you really want chinese but you are broke as dirt then Lee's will do the trick. Their mar far chicken is made with dark meat which sucks but you can still eat it. If you have money though, it is all about Kowloons.

This place is great! I am new to the town and am always looking for new restaurants to try. I stumbled upon this place one day and loved it. The owner is very nice and extremely welcoming. The food is delicious and the portions are huge. This restaurant is perfect if you want the most bang for your buck. I definitely recommend this place!

Great plentiful Kung Pow Chicken. Great Beef Broccoli as well! So much food for $5 (lunch) that I took half of it home.

My wife and I just came from eating here. The food is not gourmet, but is good comfort food. Since we are just passing through, we ordered off their special combo. you pick your choice from 2-4 items ($6.50, $7.75, $8.75) and it comes with either egg drop or hot and sour soup. We both chose the latter and it definitely had a bite. They used a lot of celery which is way different than what we are used to in California, but good. My wife ordered the beef and broccoli and chicken chow mein and I ordered a spring roll, crab & cheese wontons (came with 4), pork egg roll and mar far chicken (based on reviews). We had never heard of this before so had no idea what was coming. Since on one side of the choices, you have to pay an extra $1.50 to get two dishes from that side, our waitress rearranged our order to save us the extra. Nice touch! Our total order was less than $16, which we thought was pretty inexpensive. We left with most of the broccoli beef and chicken chow mein, 6 pieces of the mar far chicken and half an egg roll. By the way, the egg oll was vegetable. To make it pork, 2 slices of pork were laid on top! The service was friendly and speedy. My ice water was refilled as soon as it got low and the hot tea was ready to drink when it was placed on the table.

Great food, tofu dishes available, huge portions, very nice staff. Waitress made suggestion that saved us money. I like that.

We were quite disappointed in the taste of the food. Lee's provides a lot of food at a modest price and service was good but that's about all that recommends it. The fried food was saturated with old oil giving it an off taste. Their sweet and sour sauce was pretty good but couldn't compete with the stale taste of the fried food. The Low Mein was heavy on celery and overcooked veggies. The noodles were soy drenched and other than that taste, quite flat. We felt that the 4+ rating was pretty out of line with the actual food.

Wow. What a disappointment. The BBQ Pork was basically pork jerky. It was so dry and bad I could not believe they actually served it. The egg rolls? OMG! They took an old egg roll, re-wrapped it and deep fried it. The vegetables inside were brown. Disgusting! Egg flour soup? OMG again! There were three colors of peas as the soup was obviously recycled over and over again, and yes, brown cabbage! We did not wait for dinner. We got up and offered to pay for the old rotten food they brought to our table. The Asian gal told us we would have to pay for everything. At that point I told her to call the police and show them the recycled food they were serving, refusing to pay at that point. She politely told us to go ahead and leave.

Small, clean, great food. This place originally was an Artic Circle Drive-in.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
