Very cute little place that serves food and ice cream. The inside had a very cosy feel to it and there were plenty of window seats. The lady that was helping me was super friendly and very good at multitasking! I ordered a scoop of espresso madness in a waffle cone and the scoop was a good, decent size. They proudly serve Umpqua ice cream. I would like to come back and try the food sometime.

The food here was excellent and the service was friendly and fast. I got the French dip and my brother got the clam chowder. It was hands down the best french dip I have had, simple yet delicious. The clam chowder was also good, although it could have had more clams but regardless it tasted great. Overall, it was a great experience at a great little deli.

Ordered a turkey sandwich and the meat barely resembled turkey?! There was only one woman working, she took our to-go order including cash and without washing her hands went straight to making our sandwiches. Too flabbergasted to say anything, I took the sandwiches and left but will never go back. Too bad, I like to give my business to the local shops, but honestly........soap and water. :(

my review was removed for "inappropriate content." i didn't know that being gay, and talking about going to a place with "gay" in the title would be considered "inappropriate." whatever yelp, whatever. this is what i gotta say to you, sweet queers and/or people of color of the west coast: do not go to the gay 90s ice cream parlor. me and my bestie, who are melanin-soaked, supes queer & visibly transgender, had a very miserable and creepy experience here. i'm from rural parts of the northwest and am no stranger to racist hyper-masculinity and extreme homophobia from methy dingbat losers. that's what this spot is. it's not the awesome multiculti queen latifah gay 1990s -- it's about the scary, Jim Crow 1890's. after ordering our road trip snacks, we got asked a barrage of uncomfortable questions. we just tried to get out of there as quickly as possible, but got followed out to our car as the questions and harassment continued. as i turned the car on, a truck swooped in and blocked us in. it was scary. honestly, the things that road trip nightmares are made of. luckily we got out of there just a little shaken up, nothing worse. still alive. i wrote a funny review about it because as a trans POC sometimes the best way you deal with stuff is by laughing through it. i guess yelp didn't like that, or the gay 90s owners didn't and petitioned to have it removed. regardless, i hope this review stays so that sweet homos looking for a pit stop know that they're better off somewhere else. (side note, yelp: it's not inappropriate to call us "homos." it's cheeky. and cute. okay?) love & strength & rage!

When we came on Sunday it was closed, but I knew after reading Ben V's hilarious review that I had to stop for a photo op. And so we did. We took one ridiculous shot after another in front of the Gay 90s sign while a whole bunch of rednecks drove the down the road looking like they wanted a piece of us. Just for our amusement this place gets a 5.

We walked into The Gay 90's on one of Roseburg's warmers days. Kinda cute inside but I was immediately punched in the nose by a smell I could not put my finger on. Cleaner? Disinfectant? It was something else and I annoyed my husband and daughter by complaining about it. "What is that?!" I tried to distract myself with ordering some ice cream. It was handed to me and we all commented on how soft the ice cream was. We are not used to that as well as being served by the fellow who was clearly hot and sweaty. Roseburg really needs a great ice cream parlor. This place has promise if they could get a handle on several internal problems. We will not be returning ; sweaty ice cream's just not our thing ! ~^..^~

The Gay 90s have been here in Roseburg ever since the whatever-they-were '70s. They have sandwiches and soup which is homemade. And ice cream - quite a few varieties - not as many as at some places - but better. They make their own pies too. They have a lot of customers, unsurprisingly. This place is vegetarian-friendly too.

DUUUUDE, the 90's were pretty gay. Although, it seems that Roseburg Oregon's Gay 90's Ice Cream Parlor refers to the 1890's, rather than the decade that introduced Americans to Courtney Love, War In Iraq, and, um, raver glow-sticks. Anyways, the ice cream was pretty good, I got some peaches and cream. But the most amazing thing about the Gay 90's Diner is that the downtrodden, pimply-faced kid who worked behind the register had literally the biggest vocal lisp I've ever heard outside of residents of Barcelona, Spain. You gotta feel bad for this poor young teenager living in rural Oregon, cursed with such a strong lisp in the middle of redneck-ville, and relegated to working at a joint called the Gay 90's Diner on top of it. I felt like I had somehow traveled into another, parallel dimension, and I was meeting the David Sedaris of this plane of existence as an adolescent. I wanted pick the kid up, give him a twirl in my arms and tell him that one day, he'd be a famous celebrity writer adored by housewives and important cultural icons the world over. I wanted to tell him of his impending encounter with "the rooster." Instead, I remembered that I'm not in another dimension, and just tipped him a dollar and got the fuck out of Roseburg.

Great little ice cream shop. You can get a cone that splits off on the top to have 2 separate places to put the ice cream. Rainbow sherbet.
