I have had dinner here around 10 times and always been happy. The building is not in the best of shape and could use an upgrade but if you like decent Chinese food and large portions this is the place for you.

This place does my personal favorite (honey walnut shrimp) better than I've ever had, and I've had some great Chinese -- so I'm a big fan. Outside of that dish, this is good Chinese food, very well-priced and generous portions. It also happens to be the best Chinese around here. The service is fast, not especially friendly, but nice enough. The decor is hideous. The only thing I can rave about is the honey shrimp, but I haven't ordered anything yet that wasn't good enough to have again: War won ton soup, Kung Pao chicken, Mongolian beef, pork fried rice, chow mein -- all good.

In the past I've enjoyed good food at Chi's. But judging from my experience last month, they should take down the sign saying they are among the top 100 Chinese restaurants in ?America?! The pot stickers were tough and tasted like leftover turkey (should taste like pork, garlic, sesame, etc). The hot and sour soup had so much sugar in it I sent it back, to be told that it was always "hot and sour and sweet." First time in my long life I got H&S soup that tasted like salty syrup. Sorry to say, but Chi's, in my book, has joined the ranks of the UGHs in Roseburg's list of Chinese eateries.

*** Last week I lost my wallet on a tuesday. On Friday, I finally remembered that I had eaten lunch at Chi's...I called them, & happily drove over and picked it up, not a thing was missing. The staff here are friendly and honest! Thank you Chi's, we will be back!

Ok the one star is not for the food, that part is perfectly fine, not always hot but fine! The one star reflects the horrible service you get in this place, the owner has zero personality and it seems she can't be bothered with you, oh and not to be left out slower than slow, you think you are going to starve to death by the time you get your food!

I'm in Roseburg and I need dinner, so this place looked pretty packed and I figured, "why not?" Wow, coming from SF and getting some Chinese cuisine in Oregon, I was pretty skeptical, but the food was awesome and the service was on top. No one has tagged em yet, so they needed some respect. Chi's, thanks for the grub!

You can't beat this quality of food for the price. They have really well priced lunch specials that will fill you up. Service is great with a clean restaurant.

The #1 worst Chinese food I have ever had in my life. I understand that this is someone's livelihood but quality vs quantity people! Raise the prices by a dollar, purchase better quality ingredients, and you would have a great restaurant. The service was quick and friendly, but the food was inedible.

Chis is my most favorite Chinese food restaurant in town!! Since they have moved locations not only has the food improved but the service has too!! Everyone seems a lot happier at the new location and it is so much cleaner!! The prices are amazing for the amount of food you get!! I love the mar far chicken!!! I Always get hot food even when I order to go!! I highly recommend this place!! Try the new location it's 100% better!!

Food is good but the service is so horrible it took 10 mins to seat us idk why it wasn't busy.. our server seemed annoyed that we even came in she gave us dirty looks while taking our order she never asked us what we wanted to drink she was rude and argued with us.

If I could give zero stars I would. The service was terrible it took them 20 minutes to take our order and the restaurant was basically empty. The food was horrible.

Decent quality food for what you'd expect relative to the prices, favorite part was complimentary oolong tea.

Great food, the hot and sour soup is very good and spicy, just how I like it. The Marfar chicken has sesame seeds cooked into the batter, making it even more delicious. The BBQ pork pan fried noodles are perfectly cooked with big beautiful veggies cooked in. Top this off with very reasonable prices, and you cannot do any better for Chinese food in Roseburg. The decor is dated for sure, I could care less about the decor, considering the food cannot be beat.

Cheap and good food! I love their crispy eggplant in garlic sauce - I've gone back 3 times now just to get that one dish. The people working there are nice, the restaurant has a typical "not too spendy" vibe and atmosphere - just a kicked back place with good food! I would recommend this place for sure!

This is Roseburg's best Chinese restaurant. Portions are large and everything is cooked fresh. The drawback is the same as nearly every Chinese restaurant within distance of my voice: They cater to American tastes rather than the foods of their homeland. I wish they would add two or three dishes that they cook at home. There are people who like authentic Chinese food rather than the Americanized version that features too much fried food and heavy sauces that dominate the dish rather than compliment it. The cashew nut chicken and Mongolian beef dishes are both good. Lunches are a bargain at less than $6. Better than what you'd pay at a burger joint and much more filling.

Damn good Chinese. Hunan Beef/Chicken/Pork you choose, Kung Pao Chicken, Schezwan Beef, Peking Shrimp, Orange Chicken. All really, really good. Large vegetables, not diced, and colorful. Very flavorful, but yes maybe a bit salty, but hey it's Chinese in Roseburg people! I always order take out, so can't comment on service. Xiangshou!

They seem to have a large clientele so we decided to give them a try. I like some of the food I ordered, but wasn't overly impressed at all. Their fortune cookies seemed fake or just cheaply produced. It's taste was OK but not really great. I can see how some people would like them because some of our food was quite good, but overall they're not for me. I did finish my food and take left-overs home, but I don't believe we will be returning. Like one reviewer said "the service depended on who you talked to one was helpful and friendly the other not so much." I did see an adjacent room that wasn't being used so I'm assuming they use it for banquets or large gatherings. I don't like to give a bad review based on one visit (unless the place totally sucks), but I left there wishing we had gone to our favorite place instead. If you go perhaps you'll have a better experience. If so let me know.

Super fast and delicious Chinese food. My co-workes and I got the adorable and sailor themed back room...somewhat random, but I liked the flair. The service was a little slow if you are looking for something super quick, but the quality and value are certainly there. Under $6 gets you an awesome lunch with an entree, rice, crab puffs, egg roll. This place seems like a great take-out option as well.

Please ignore the nasty reviews this restaurant has recieved. I have lived in Roseburg for two years, and I must say that it is the best Chinese food in Roseburg. For the individual stating it looked like something out of Napolean Dynamite, they are quite inaccurate. Napolean Dynamite was set in 2005 in a smalltown. Anyway, the place is a dated hole in the wall but it is my favorite Chinese food in Roseburg.

I didn't really like the food or the service. The food was overly breaded and under sauced. I'm not sure the chicken was really chicken. They didn't have any items I recognized and no pics on menu. Their service depended on who you talked to. One girl was super nice, the manager was lame. I didn't finish my food cause I didn't like it.

DEAR GOD. If you're starving, eat your fist instead. I went here with my mother because we were starving and had been eating diner food all day. Too bad it was easter sunday, and there were no restaurants open. We pulled into this sketchy parking lot. There were only 3 cars in the lot, which my mom said was no surprise. We walked in and I thought I went back in time to Napolean Dynamite's era (whichever one that was). Heinous florals, tan, ripped up seats, and unclean silverware scattered this deserted joint. The waitress was very speedy, probably due to the fact that there was nobody there. My mother and I got the Ma Po tofu, vegetarian pan fried noodles (sidenote: they don't have vegetarian pan fried noodles, but they actually made it for us), and steamed rice. The Ma Po tofu was ridiculously salty. So much so that it was inedible. And if anyone knows me, they know I eat EVERYTHING. The pan fried noodles weren't crispy at all, just parts of them were burnt. And the steamed rice was drier than the savannah. We should have just gone to Denny's. I recommend you do the same.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
