Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

High Cholesterol at Pizza Hut

Whether large, medium or small, a pizza can boost your cholesterol levels instantly. You shouldn't eat more than one slice of any pizza your order at Pizza Hut. If you're concerned with your high cholesterol, then it is wise to take your friends to Pizza Hut and share pizza among them slice by slice. You can also try pasta at Pizza Hut but ensure that you are not adding any dressing or extra cheese as you order pasta.

I'm normally not a buffet person but we popped in here one day for lunch to see what it was, and ended up going back again the next week. I love that you can get some food fresh from the grill in addition to the buffet. Everything that I tried was of great quality and taste. I especially liked the pizza, the garlic green beans, and the spuds! Plus it is someplace I can take my 1-year old since it's kid friendly.

This is the 2nd time I've been to Izzy's and although I'm not a fan of buffet style restaurants, it's pretty good. Their garlic mashed potatoes and gravy are awesome as well as their garlic cheese bread. The prices are decent for a buffet, but I hardly eat enough to make it worth it for me. But if you have a good appetite, it's a great deal and kids under 3 eat free which is great too. Most of their staff is pretty friendly and helpful, but the gal that sat us today seemed to be having a bad day. She wasn't rude or anything, but she wasn't too friendly either. Overall, not bad, but I'll try another place next time I'm in Bend.

I NEVER eat at buffet but was accompanying family here. I'm a healthy eater and can honestly say I was pleasantly surprised! Fresh salad bar, the ribs, chicken, soup all great and fantastic deserts. It's hard to use self control in this kind of atmosphere but there are healthy options and I enjoyed it !

We went to Izzy's last night cause we had a coupon. I have never been a fan of Izzy's, never thought the food was worth returning for, but my boyfriend likes it so we go on occasion. Never again. Last night he had the same experience I have every time. Food flavor was blan, food was mostly cold, like cold cold. And over salted on some items. I had 1 plate w'garlic green beans, fried potatoes, veggie mix and some salad. Today I'm having food poisoning, and so is my boyfriend. Yay.

Kids like it and it is way better than drive thru. Service was good and food was ok. They do have several lettuce choices at the salad bar so you are not stuck with just iceburg. They have a good selection of cooked veggies and the ribs are good. Dessert has some decent choices. A good combo of junk food and some healthy choices. We miss the pulled pork sandwiches that they used to have. This is a buffet style restaurant.

I wrote a detailed account of one of the worst dining experiences ever at Izzys in Redmond, Or. Yelp deleted it? Eat there at you own risk, service poor, skimp om meat, don't waste your time.

We ate here a few months ago I though it was good my wife was unimpressed (and she's the one that likes izzy's) . I talked her into eating there last night it was awful we were there for about 35 minutes the food that was out was old and cold the only thing they put out fresh while were there was mac and cheese the chicken was full and there where only thighs I wont eat thighs at home why would I pay to eat them. There was a meatless marinara sauce and an alfredo sauce but nothing to it on the pan on noodles was empty the entire time we were there. When we were paying the guy asked us how it was my wife not wanting to be rude said it was ok, I told him she's trying to be nice and that it was terrible and that we would not come back he thought it was funny. Save your money

I don't like to be so negative but this place was super bleh and here's why. Visited this restaurant for lunch on 10 April 2013 arriving about 30 minutes after opening and was seated promptly. Here is what we found: bland taste to most of the food; no soup bowls out and when I asked the staff where they were she looked lost, pointed to where they should be and drifted off somewhere (30 minutes later there were still no bowls); staff was placing newer hot food on "top" of older food on the buffet (specifically mash potatoes); the lava cake has no liquid interior, it was all cake; only some of the buffet items were labeled for identification. Overall a very sad buffet experience where feel our money was wasted. On the plus side, the restaurant was clean and there were plenty of friendly staff in evidence.

That was just plain GROSS.... We have not been to Izzys in a long time because of the food and service, it's been about 2 years and I'm going to say it got worse! the salad is not maintained, I had to ask someone to please refill the lettuce and a few other items on the salad buffet. I think the pizza is the only thing that was okay. Husband ordered the pork tacos, riblets off the grill, we stood and watched Maria take the ribs out of the fridge(pre cooked of course) and warm them on the "grill" I think the pork for the tacos were heated up in the microwave. BLAHHHHH gross! I gave Izzys another chance after 2 years... I am NEVER going back

Super clean. Friendly staff. Same ol Izzys food. Granted we like Izzys food, so no complaints. Noon hour wasn't busy on a Saturday, so don't worry about lines. Food was slow to come out. Easy to find off 126.
