very very nice and clean place ,great place for lunch ,bummer thing is they close at 2 pm ,don't know why .. The atmosphere is really nice great place to relax. The wait staff are fun and friendly and there to fill up your cup when needed. The food is great their beef dip sandwiches I highly recommend. the best spot in the restaurant is upstairs .this place is very clean and as I said before very relaxing an a great place to chart with friends . the prices are fair for what you get .just wouldn't recommend the side salad well over priced for what it is ,which is nothing more than a bag sale and a few cucumber strips ..other wise its great so far.

Hours: 7am to 2pm Tues. thru Sun (closed Mon.) Wow!!! What a nice place, good food and excellent service. If I heard the waitress correctly this place has been open now for 4 months. It has a far better breakfast than that other place a few blocks away. This restaurant is located in an old existing house that has been completely remodeled inside with a very comfortable and inviting decor. I ordered the #1 on the menu which is 2 eggs, potatoes & toast with a choice of bacon, sausage, links or Kielbasa. I chose the bacon, eggs OE, wheat toast, side of gravy and coffee. The coffee is good....the breakfast arrived promptly after order-up and was hot. The eggs were cooked OE but the ample helping of potatoes were not cooked all the way through. The potatoes are a thicker square cut of hashbrowns and this may have been why they were not fully cooked. One slice of very thick toast cut in half and buttered with one very deep tub of raspberry jelly on the side. 4 slices of very good medium thick bacon. The side of gravy came in a good sized vessel that was an ample enough amount to cover the hashbrowns. The gravy is a very mild sausage gravy that needs to be kicked up a notch. I saw one customer get the biscuits and gravy which was a full order and a plate full. The customer immediately dashed Tabasco all over the gravy which is an indicator of blandness. The waitress never let the coffee cup get down more than half and was also very attentive to all customers. The main breakfast that I ordered was $7.95, the side of gravy was $2 and the coffee was $1.25 for a total of $11.20 which, for the amount of food I got, is a good price. I will be back and if I'm in Redmond this will be my place for breakfast. I will be interested in trying lunch there next time. One word of caution: If you step up to the station where you pay your bill, do not look to your left at the pie case. You will be hard pressed to walk away without one of Christie's very own home made pies. I did only because I had breakfast....but wished I had snagged a Marionberry slice for my lunch later.

It is a breath of fresh air to find such an adorable, clean, respectable place in Redmond. The atmosphere is lovely, the people are very friendly, everything is clean and the food is good! My husband, son and I have only eaten here once but our food was served in a timely manner, it was tasty and the service was great. Our son is under two and has the typical attention span of his age. He sometimes is noisy and messy, there was NEVER any doubt that he was welcome here. Christie herself checked us out after our meal and was very pleasant. We will without a doubt be back. So thankful we have business owners who truly care about all aspects of their establishment still... we were wondering if that was a lost art. THANK YOU CHRISTIE'S KITCHEN!!!

Went the Christie's on Saturday morning as the beginning of date day with my bride. It was our 2nd time going. Do not remember what I had the first time but this time I had the biskits and gravy. It was much better than what One Street serves, and I enjoy the atmosphere at Christie's. The service is prompt, the staff is attentive, friendly and polite. The food is good, nothing disappointed me in the least. We will be going back, I need to try the corned beef hash and eggs!

I visit Redmond a few times a year and at the beginning of my trip I always drive through town to see if my favorite places are still open or have shuttered during my absence. Since this location has changed regularly over the past 15 years, I always hold my breath as I turn the corner on Cedar Avenue and breathe a sigh of relief when I see Christie's is still alive and kickin'. It definitely has become one of my favorite breakfast options in Redmond over the past two years. It has the largest menu so no matter what I'm craving for breakfast, there are things that appeal to me. It has the most pleasant outdoor seating on the back patio under old growth trees and the service is friendly and efficient. With two seating areas on the main floor, as well as an upstairs dining room, it never feels too crowded. I almost always order off the Lighter Fare menu, which is amusing because it is still a lot of food. I like that there are many combinations and I prefer to order their biscuits instead of toast as the bread option. It has a nice local vibe and in the front room, I like that they have a sign for 'Cronies Corner' so it feels like a nice local hangout. With Coho Coffee across the street, Cedar Avenue is one of my favorite places in town. Christie's is closed on Mondays and only offers breakfast and lunch so they close by 2:00p.

Good place for breakfast/lunch, but not great. The best word I can think of to describe Christie's Kitchen is that it is functional. The restaurant itself is very clean and well-kept, and the bathrooms are pristine. Let's move on to the functional things . . . The service was fine. We were seated quickly, and our server was attentive. However, there wasn't much warmth in the way we were spoken to or served. She was very proper and businesslike, but it was more like we were at a job interview than being served at a restaurant. Our group had chicken fried steak (waaaay overcooked with super-yummy gravy), pancakes (just like home), eggs benedict (solid choice) and a chicken sandwich (just okay). While the portions were large and the food very fresh, most everything lacked seasoning. Again . . . functional. I suppose to summarize . . . everything was fine with our visit, but nothing really stood out with regards to the food or service. Our visit was good, but not great. It was . . . functional.

Tasty breakfast- lots of options. I had a piece of pie (it was PI day) and the best oatmeal I have ever had. Coffee is only $1.25! The ladies here are friendly and pay attention to your needs. All in all- an excellent experience!

Would not be a destination breakfast spot for us, but if driving through Redmond at breakfast time again, as we were today, we'd happily choose Christie's again. Breakfast and lunch only, service from 7 - 2 with breakfast all day. The menu is standard American breakfast and lunch fare with prices ranging from roughly $6 to $14. Of note are the homemade pies. Today's options were lemon or rhubarb or blackberry. For only $3.50 / slice, I was briefly tempted to have a "side of pie" to go with the homemade biscuit I ordered. The biscuit was well seasoned and ample sized but a bit leaden. My husband thought his bacon, egg and hash browns option was tasty. For those familiar with Redmond, Christie's is in the old house that was once upon a time Mustard Seed, then Café Alfresco, then Crave. (Here's hoping Christie's breaks free from the string of bad luck for restaurants here.) The location is convenient, on Cedar right off 6th (main drag). Parking on street in front and more in a lot in the back of the building. Seating is at tables to the left and right of the entry door with more up a flight of stairs and, weather permitting, on a patio in the back off the parking lot. Service was friendly once we got started, but there was a long wait between being seated by one server and finally being attended to by another. All was sparkling clean and the place has an overall down home vibe. Patrons here seem mostly locals and from the conversations around us seemed to be mostly regulars. I was also thinking, as I watched folks come and go that patrons here also seemed mostly older. Then I thought "WHOOOOAAAA! These be MY peeps". For age range that is. How the heck did that happen, those years adding up while I wasn't looking? THIS N THAT: ACCESSIBILITY: If you have trouble climbing stairs, don't be discouraged by the stairs to the front door as there is a ramp right off the back patio and around the side of the building to the front door. (I noted today that 80% of customers came and went via this ramp. It's called universal access for a reason - works for everyone.)

Good stable breakfast. They were very busy for the mother's day Sunday. Fast and friendly. Had the steak breakfast and the large pancake. Parking is on street but there are plenty of space around.

Seated very quickly and the coffee was homestyle perfect. Ordered a rare steak and eggs and a number one sausage link breakfast with some gravy and a biscuit. Everything came quickly and was perfect. I have always missed the old Country Nook and here in Redmond town and now you can come with large or small party's, have an ample amount of space and get everything you wanted. We came for breakfast, but someone across the space had ordered a club with potato salad... I saw it coming out of the window.... I think that's what I'll get next time. It was as tall as a mountain!

One of, if not the best, breakfast spots in town. Also great lunch (soups, sandwiches, etc.). Great service and friendly atmosphere makes this a mainstay for locals.

We sat outside. It was so nice the trees kept it well shaded. I had the Denver omelet with pancakes. The omelet was very flavorful. My husband got the chicken fried stake and just went on about how good it was the whole time he was eating it. It was an over all good experience and I look forward to eating there again.

We have been patiently waiting a great breakfast place in Redmond. We now have it. I wouldn't call it 'average' American fair. Best breakfast potatoes ever. Homemade. My husband loves the Corned Beef Hash. Today's special was a Eggs Benedict with bacon, tomato and avocado. The best I have ever tasted.

I'm resisting the urge to give 5 stars only because the meal wasn't truly 'unique'. However, I will absolutely recommend Christie's Kitchen because they are just so competent. The food was well prepared and the seasoning wasn't over the top. This is a very good value for a nice breakfast and we will definitely return. The service is above average for friendly, courteous and efficient which is remarkable (to me anyway) here in central Oregon. I have gotten so used to lousy service in Bend/Redmond.
