I felt the Sizzler here was a good value. At about $10 for a steak and potatoes, it is defiantly a good price for the area. I have dined here several times and the service has always been friendly. They got the steak temperature spot on every time, and the salad bar is fairly good. Overall, it's a chain, but one of the better ones I have been to. Defiantly will go back.

BLAH! This place is nasty! I remember coming here when I was a kid and thinking how great it was, well either my taste has changed or their quality has (I think I just didn't know any better). I came here because I had a CRAZY craving for shrimp and sizzler offers the "all you can eat" shrimp basket. DON'T DO IT! This was one of the worst places I have ever eaten at. The shrimp was not fresh, it didn't even look like shrimp since it was so heavily battered, and when i asked to try a different kind they said, "No" I could only have seconds (or thirds, or fourths,...) of the same style of my order. I felt gypped, and a little sick. Do yourself a favor, don't eat at this place!

Dined here for a late weekday lunch. Opted for the all you can eat salad bar for $8.49 The salad selection was good. All of the items on the salad bar were fresh and tasted good. The soup (clam chowder) also was good. I will go again.

Toughest steak I've ever been served in a restaurant! I remember when Sizzler used to have great steaks and food, not anymore...This is the second time this year I've been to a Sizzler but won't make that mistake again, they are their way down the tubes just like Denney's. Small portions of gristly steak and soggy baked potato. Spend your money for decent food somewhere else!

We've been coming here since we moved from Anchorage in 2013 until it was on a fire tragedy and been waiting for reopening. We always order the Half Dozen Jumbo Skewered Shrimp comes with unlimited salad bar. And as usual we always end up taking our order home since the all you can eat salad bar, crispy chicken wings, garlic toast & other stuff fills us up. The remodeling job was very nice and even have the blue lighting supposedly slows down your eating habit at any buffet (as seen on Travel Channel). We never order the fancy menus since the salad bar cannot be beat (for the price) and soft serve ice cream. If you want a really good steak a steakhouse would be the best, but pay the price.

Wet table AND chairs... apethtic wait staff- our waiters response was "huh wet is clean in this business..." Average buffet food... came back to find our table swept clean and re-wetted... no thanks.

I have been here on several occasions with family, and service is always friendly, though sometimes quite slow, and the food has been decent- not amazing, though pretty good for the price, especially for lunch. However, the last time my family went, everyone had eaten the same breakfast and lunch that day. Everyone had their typical entrees, and only my brother had the salad bar. He loaded p on things from the salad bar. Later, he was extremely sick with symptoms of food poisoning- no one else was sick. The only thing he had different from the rest of the family that day was his entree at Sizzler, and the salad bar there. We called to let them know (considering it was either 1. an issue with their poplar salad bar or 2. an issue with his entree, which is not comforting considering the Sizzer E. Coli breakout in the 90s....). Their response? That it was unfortunate. Thats it. They were completely uninterested, offered no indication that they planned to look into the issue in their restaurant, nor did they even offer a sincere apology. We will not ever be returning, because their lackluster food is not worth a health risk.

I always hope it will turn out better but it never seems to. Sizzler is one of those places that my parents would take the kids to for a special meal ( you know, get out the Sunday go to meeting buggy kind of a trip). They have several great elements, a varied menu, salad bar with some hot options, great garlic toast. You line up with the other hopeful patrons and place your order. Not quite $20 to get a steak, side, salad and soda. Then you head over to the salad bar that has run out of lettuce, the serving spoon in the nacho cheese sauce is *in* the nacho cheese sauce. There are staff members milling around and you have to triage which issue to point out first. I opted for fresh lettuce and a few minutes later it appeared. Not too long afterwards the entrée appeared. Steak, medium, sadly it was also quite tough. Cutting it as thin as I could managed to make it somewhat edible but sadly not the kind of dining experience I will be eager to repeat soon. To be fair, the staff were pleasant and eager. The place was reasonably clean and comfortable. No one got sick. It's fairly unreasonable to expect a quality steak at that price. A man's gotta dream, sadly my dream was not met.

This place is not good. This was my first time here and my last. It is extremely expensive for what it is. Everything is packaged and not fresh. My daughter got the Mac and cheese and it was just kraft Mac and cheese that you get at the grocery store and they charged almost $6 for it!! The server was awful and took my friends plate before they were even done. Don't waste your time or money.

Drove 17 miles yesterday to eat dinner here and Really sad to see that some careless smoker caused a fire a one of my favorite restaurants. Hope to see Sizzler back in business real soon.

Wait staff good... Food awful!!! Salad old, steak fatty, WEIRD steak sauce! (Like BBQ sauce with a massive overdose of nutmeg... Nasty!), cheap fake ice cream, and even the soda was flat! We don't plan to go back!

I think the main reason I wanted to go here was because I had this preconceived notion that it was going to be this happy, bustling eatery with lots of happy, bustling patrons everywhere. Well, that wasn't it. What I found instead was a slow, depressing and pathetic place that reminded me of the Hometown Buffet and Izzy's. Yes, I just admitted that I've eaten at those, too. No offense to either. It's just a real challenge to find an all you can eat salad bar in Portland, for whatever reason. They have an endless salad bar offering that I just couldn't pass up because, well, you can never get too much salad, right? I would have been better staying at home and buying all the ingredients myself. The choices are limited if you're looking for fresh salad selections that just might make you feel like you're doing something good for yourself. Unfortunately, most of the items are pasta or mayonnaise laden salads that I wouldn't even consider eating. So, I opted for 2 trips for the best stuff I could find. To be fair though, I have to say that the staff was really friendly and helpful. They were trying, I have to give them that. Trying to look like you're happy about being there must have been a serious challenge for them but they seemed to pull it off quite well. I would never go back, even if they offered to feed me for free. It really is that bad. If you ever have a need to wallow in your own slump, this would be a good place. If you're actually in search of your happy place, this would not be it. Bon Appetite.

I have been searching for a good salad bar that was affordable. A friend suggested I try here and I am glad I took her advice. The salad bar is not as expansive as others in the area but they did have everything I wanted to include in my salad bar experience. The food was fresh and no brown lettuce. Huge pet pieve of mine brown lettuce yuck. They have several salad dressings to choose from with plenty of toppings to add to the deliciousness. For the salad bar price you get to enjoy the hot tables as well as the dessert tables. When I crave a salad bar this will be my go to place.

Worst dining experience I've had there in years. First off, the wait staff were very friendly, and that was nice, and I appreciated that. What went wrong is when I took my first bite of my medium-rare steak, the flavor was indescribably odd. To me, and my dinner partner it tasted like bad meat. What I also found peculiar was the fact that when I cut into my steak, there was no blood whatsoever. Instead of being pink inside, it was like grey jello. Just disgusting. So I sent it back, and this time asked for a steak well-done. The new steak arrived as requested, and had the same peculiar flavor! I ate only one bite of it and went for the unlimited salad bar, which was equally horrifying. It was about 6:30pm, and the entire buffet/salad bar was a mess. Everything I wanted was either completely out, or very nearly out, and what was left over looked like it had been sitting around since lunch! None of the wait staff went near that salad bar/buffet to restock it. Not only that, but their soft serve machine spat out the equivalent of cold milk into our bowls, and that is what we had for dessert (because everything else was gone) - cold, sweetened milk with strawberry topping. My friend and I ate very sparingly, as we were so horrified to have each spent $17 on such a sub-par meal. So sorry we picked Sizzler.

Four stars for a Sizzler? Here's the deal: you know Sizzler is not the Ringside, right? So you're expectations should be properly adjusted before entering. There is a place for Sizzler in the restaurant world. Let's say your grandparents, or another older relative, is visiting you and they want to "take you out to dinner." Well, friend, you're going to Sizzler. And that's fine; it's appropriate to the situation. If you are taking out business associates after a successful bank merger, then Sizzler is not really the steakhouse you are looking for. See? Different situation. So back to the four stars. This Sizzler is clean, and the staff is very friendly and efficient, which counts for a lot. So, don't expect the best meal of your life (you're not paying enough for it, remember), and thank Grandpa for dinner. And just have a nice time, even if your steak might not be perfect, or whatever.

The last time I dined at any SIZZLER was just before their poor sanitation sickened many people -- a couple of decades ago While I've never gotten ill eating at a SIZZLER -- all the news reports back in the 90s just kind of stuck in my mind. But, Sweetie suggested we give it a try on Sunday. Not too busy, got in and it didn't take long to place our orders and be seated. The salad bar was better than I remembered -- offering a wide range of foods that would rival a Sweet Tomatoes outlet. Sweetie got the 8 oz steak and baked potato. She said it was pretty good; but below Applebee's quality for about the same price. I had the baked salmon. It was still a bit raw in the middle of the thick part of the portion. Thus, it was tender and flaky. But it SMELLED a bit like cat food; perhaps a couple of days old. It would have been OK if they offered it "blackened" and spiced up to hide the smell and oldish taste. Will we go back again? Maybe. With limited finances, we tend to choose places we can afford -- where the food is always good to excellent.

Not a fan of the main dishes but the wings and salads are good and the staff is very friendly. I also love the strawberry lemonade.

This would never be my first choice for a restaurant. However, a friend had a giftcard so went to the salad bar. This place is NASTY. I will never go to a Sizzler ever again. First, the bathroom was filthy. There was garbage and toilet paper on the floor. Second, the clientele is less than stellar. The salad bar was totally lame. Iceburg lettuce, not many veggie choices. I don't know how fresh it was, honestly. And the salad dressings had no labels. Are we supposed to just guess?? I was so creeped out by this place. Stay away! Stay away!!!!!!! GROSS!

1 star is for the pleasant and attentive server and staff. I wasn't expecting much for a quick dinner, but was surprised how terrible the food actually was. Everything tasted completely lifeless. Salad bar was full of lame selection and even worse freshness. Chicken wings were oddly breaded with bland flavor, the only lettuce was iceberg, the egg salad was off. The "terrific" and free cheesy bread was little more than yellow toast, overly saturated with a butter-like substance and some sort of cheese like substance. Everything tasted as if it had been warehoused too long or had the flavor microwaved out of it. The entrees were so close to inedible that we decided only after a few tentative bites to walk out. The steak was sirloin, which is basically what hamburgers are made of. They were oddly sweetened, watery - bloodless. awful. The steamed vegetables were microwaved or had been sitting in the steamer for hours. The cooked carrots were completely dried out. The A1 steak sauce couldn't even improve the flavor of the steaks. It wasn't even A1. It was Sizzler Brand sauce and it too was awful. I rarely walk away from steak. After 3 bites. we walked out. We were polite enough not to do it in front of our waitress. Will never try this restaurant again. Not worth your time. Denny's would be a better choice.

It was a little more expensive than other Sizzlers (maybe the price went up recently?) but overall the food was good and the restaurant was clean. The service was decent as well. I was disappointed by, of all things, the Texas toast (which they're known for). Elsewhere it's been fantastic, but at this Sizzler it was sub-par if that. Edit: I went back a couple of days after this and the Texas toast was much better. The rest of the meal was just as good or better. Upgrading to 4 stars.

I don't know why people hate on this location so much. For that matter its Sizzler! What did you expect? Who goes to Sizzler thinking their steak will be tender like Kobe Beef? If I could have changed anything it would have been that my steak be more tender and my cheesy bread more crisp. Other than that, everything else was awesome. I had the steak and endless shrimp. Comes with baked potato, I had mine with the works. The steak was a petite cut and could have been more tender but was good. The breaded prawns were crisp, hot and delicious. The baked potato was... well it's hard to mess up a baked potato but it was also good. For all you haters out there. Yes, the shrimp is frozen and comes out of a box. Its Sizzler! The salad bar was clean and well stocked as was the desert bar. The bathrooms were very clean. Seriously the service was stellar. I placed my order, found a seat, was seen by the waitress and eating cheesy bread within 6 minutes. Less less than 15 minutes after that I was eating all I could of breaded shrimp. My waitress Lisa was attentive and friendly. Poor girl, she had to go get me cocktail sauce like 4 times. Will I go back is not a question, you know I will. If I had any other complaints. It would have been the menu board. All the pictures of yummy food made it hard to decide what I wanted.
