Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

High Cholesterol at Pizza Hut

Whether large, medium or small, a pizza can boost your cholesterol levels instantly. You shouldn't eat more than one slice of any pizza your order at Pizza Hut. If you're concerned with your high cholesterol, then it is wise to take your friends to Pizza Hut and share pizza among them slice by slice. You can also try pasta at Pizza Hut but ensure that you are not adding any dressing or extra cheese as you order pasta.

We went in skeptical at best. The words "fast forged" pizza seemed to imply fast food pizza. This is one of the rare places that no matter how the food actually is, it's amazing due to service. .....that said, the food is really good. Local, organic non factory farmed ingredients. A huge deal and rare in this type of environment. Back to the service. Josh, the manager is the most optimistic enthusiastic genuine human being ever. He is so proud (in the most positive least pompous way) of his establishment from the ingredients, to the staff to the reclaimed materials the trash cans are made of. I think I could have been eating my shoe and loved it because he was so invested in serving it. (Our food didn't taste like shoe, it was good) . Literally all the staff was equally proud of their product and seemed genuinely happy to be there. It's a contagiously positive environment with good food and prices that I'm looking forward to visiting again. They have amazing local organic greens if you're in the market for a salad....this staff deserves patronage. Thanks Josh and all the wonderful folks ....I look forward to many more visits.

Well... we came in again. Now the service wasn't bad, but it really is a hit or miss with this place. My husband, little brother and I came in. My husband and I were eager for this place to amaze my brother, since he's kind of a pizza snob. They failed pretty hard. It took him an extra few minutes to get his pizza, I guess they had lost the paper or something like that. When I went up to find it what was going on, they finally found the paper and gave it to me. So I brought it to him. The bottom was black. Not golden brown or just a light dark, but straight up black. All of it. We too it back, they gave us a coupon for next time and re made his pizza. They messed up his pizza. He had gotten something called a saucy hen. He hates olives, they ended up putting extra olives. He picked them all of and ended up taking his pizza home. He left this morning. His pizza is still in our fridge. I tall like this place I just wish they had a more consistent cooking method. Most times I feel like the pizza is not cooked properly. It's almost like the bottom cooks too fast and the top is left too under cooked. Please figure this it. Icant wait to keep coming back. I love the local ingredients and amazing tastes.

This establishment is a unique idea. Being able to choose your pizza toppings like at a subway. Great employees to, look like they really want to be there, even during dinner rush. In the end though, the pizza's taste isn't 5 star quality. Tastes fairly natural though, and all the ingredients are local so another plus. Moreover, the location is great, being right next to a theater. Worth stopping by for the experience!

I quite enjoyed this place. It's like Pieology or The Pizza Press or... well, it's like any of those personal, made-to-order pizza places that are oh, so popular right now, because they're awesome. And PIZZA! (Duh.) The inside is fairly modern and pretty industrial looking with metal and wood. The employees were friendly. They have a lunch special, which we enjoyed, because we came at the right time. They are very generous with their salads, and you can watch them make all of your food. They recycle and compost, which is very nice. Someone is there to help you sort your trash, and the place is clean. What more could you ask for? Would I visit this establishment again? Yes.

  • jason m.

It's like the subway sandwich of pizza parties. You choose your ingredients as you slide down the line. They do it in front of you. I find this innovative. It's also fast.( more about this later) Good selection of beers. Good selection of gourmet ingredients. The salads look good. I had the Farro and spinach and I loved it. The crust is a little thick, which leads to it being a bit soggy. They play techno or fast beat music a bit extra loud and they keep the place cold to rush you out and keep tables open. If I'm there at the shopping mall again, I'll eat there, but I'll ask for the pizza to be extra cooked. It is still much better than PF Changs, but worse than Sinju, so if you're stuck at Bridgeport mall looking for a meal, bear this in mind. The pizza isn't great cold. It's OK.

Super fast service, friendly, and attentive employees! Good tasting pizza at an unreal price, made however you want it. Great selection of drinks and salads as well and COOKIES!!! Bonus when I was in.. If you follow them on Instagram, free cookie. And, if you check-in on Yelp, free drink. You cannot beat that! Great location in Bridgeport, I will definitely be back!

To post an update. This business is well run, the owner contacted me after reading my review and offered a gift card to try the pizza place again. I am hoping it was just an off day with the sauce having too much oil as the folks running this place and their staff are great.

Don't understand the hype over pizzasmith. I would buy dominoes or pizza Hut before eating at pizzasmith again

  • Summer H.

I would say the flavor is okay, just pizza. The good thing is you could choose your own ingredients on your pizza and you could also choose a specific one from the menu. I got half Meat at Pizzasmith and half vegie pizza. The vegie pizza has less vegetables than I expected, olive oil based, flavor okay. Environment ok also.

    (3)
  • Erica W.

I really wanted to like this place more than I did. I felt that the pizza didn't have much flavor and the crust wasn't the greatest. I like more of a thinner crust and I thought this was too thick. The prices are more expensive than other similar style pizza places that I enjoy more, so that was disappointing. It wasn't bad, but definitely not my favorite.

  • Travis S.

Really good pizza and a bonus they're local and use hormone-free cheese and meats. If we were in Europe that wouldn't even be a thing because it's a given, but we're in Amurica...

After we enjoyed the Bridgeport theatre next door, we stopped into this joint, it was laid out like a subway scheme. the crew offers a hand-tossed pie dough from a personal size up to a large. You select your toppings. I The guys helped me out and were patient. We bought the personal sizes which was perfect for me. Then they placed them into a charcoal-fired pizza oven. The staff was not stuck-up or texting, They kept busy. Taste: pretty dang good. If I get pizza cravings, I'm going back

Very delicious pie. Pepperoni didn't get crispy on top how I like but still delicious. Come hungry.

My girlfriend and I came here to try it, and was glad to have came in. The staff was nice and willing to help and chat about the food, pizza and the business. I have to say the food was delicious! I ate my half then finished my girlfriends for here. I will definitely come back and reommend this establishment to anyone. Thanks for such good service!

This place is the wakeup call for my tastebuds that I desperately needed! I got a coupon in the mail for two totally free pizzas, I couldn't believe it! Even less so after I tasted the wood fired pizzas I ordered! The first one I got was farm to pie, corn on a pizza? OMG IT WAS AMAZING! Why more places don't have this as a topping I don't know. The tomatoes were perfectly warm and juicy and the artichoke was so tender and went perfectly with the white sauce. I also got a cheese pizza because you can tell a lot about s pizza place by tasting just their basic ingredients and just like the first pizza this was amazing! The last pizza I got was the margarita. Even though I felt it was a bit too salty for my personal taste the pizza looked great, was cooked perfectly and the toppings, as with the farm to pie, were plentiful :) I will now be going here for all my pizza needs, beyond awesome promotion and even better pizza :D

Great new addition to Bridgeport Village! The concept is great, and the pizzas we had were very tasty. It took a while to get the pizzas ordered - in fact it probably took longer to get them "built" than it took to cook them. There was no line since it was early but it still took a while to get our 3 pizzas made. I had the B&B (Brussels & Bacon) but they were out of caramelized onions - since it was early they hadn't finished making them yet. I liked the pizza but probably would have loved it more with the caramelized onions on it. Oh well, next time. The staff working needs a little more time as a team as they were a little disorganized getting things made. Son had a "craft your own" with pepperoni & sausage, and hubby had the Saucy Hen, which is BBQ sauce and chicken and some veggies. The Saucy Hen was very wet with sauce even after baking. I think I'd order that one with light sauce next time. The crusts are thin and crisp, which is the way I like my pizza. Flavorwise, the crust was okay, but not a standout for me. It doesn't take long to cook a thin crust pizza in a 700F oven, so they were at our table shortly after we paid and sat down, which is great. We'll be back for sure. The salads I saw coming out of the kitchen looked delicious too, and I like that you can custom-make your pizza and actually see how much stuff they're putting on it. They did a great job designing the restaurant too, and hired a good designer for all the graphics. It all looks sleek and warm and inviting and hip. Great concept!

This place is great. I've been here now 4 or 5 times and each time they have expediant service, are always friendly, and the food is outstanding. I highly recommend Pizzasmith

I tried this place last night for the first time. My fellow pizza snob friend recommended it. (Ha!). We ordered the cheese pie and margherita pie. I came in with no expectations since I'm usually not a fan of artisan pizza. All I'm gonna say is looks can be deceiving. When we first walked in I was terrified because I felt like I was at MOD pizza! lol. BUT, the pizza crust was perfect, along with a flavorful sauce. The toppings were just the right amount. I was impressed! I'll always prefer a ny style pie but this place was better than quite a few overhyped places in Portland.

    (4)
  • James B.

I had the margherita my wife had pepperoni. They had a problem with my wife's pizza sticking to the paddle when putting it in the oven. Instead of remaking it they just rearranged the toppings and put it back in the oven, so the end result was a very unappealing looking pizza. Both our pizzas where soggy we ended up just throwing them away. However the staff was nice and the pizza came out quick. But considering the price I would expect better quality. I would have been happier getting a 5 dollar pizza from a chain restaurant. At least there you get what you pay for.

  • Jen B.

Visiting the area for a night and picked our pizza restaurant from previous Yelp reviews. Great choice! Delicious, fast, and unique. We ordered the B & B (which had brussel sprouts, bacon, potatoes, and carmelized onions) was our favorite. I would never have guessed how delicious this combination would be. Our second pizza was the farm to table ( roasted tomatoes, artichokes, and corn) which was great as well. The crust was perfect. Service was quick and attentive. And I forgot to mention the blackberry limeade was tart and fresh. I love that all ingredients are sourced locally.

'Twas a delicious experience! The staff was very friendly, upbeat, and helpful as they explained what's basically a chipotle-style pizza building process. For $9.75 Lisa and I made and split a pizza that filled her up and nearly filled me. They have lots of great topping options and the sauce was tasty too (according the Lisa, the sauce connoisseur). Yummy pizza, fun people = good times!

  • Jennifer L.

The staff was really friendly and the pizza really good. We decided to try a couple of standards rather than make our own (meat one & BBQ chicken). Really good flavors and plenty of toppings. Came out really fast too, which was nice. Much better than a lot of pizza places. Their prices were really reasonable too, for beer as well. In fact, they have some really great happy hour deals if you happen to go in at that time. They also feature lunch specials and online deals too. We were quite happy with both the service and quality of food.

So good! Came in yesterday got a small pizza since just my first time. Had to come back today pizza and a free drink 9.75 whatever FRESH ingredients you want. So glad i came across this gem similiar to pieology but better And more dough like crust instead of the thin. The staff was super friendly!already told coworkers

Pizzasmith is a concept blending in-house/farm ingredients with made-to-order pies (hello, Subway) glazed near fire (oven) in minutes. Great, but does it taste as good? I'm happy to conclude yes based on first/recent visit and sacrificing the 'Saucy Hen' pie (roasted chicken, bbq sauce, peppers, corn). The best I've ever tasted? No. Does it come close/have promise? Yes. The atmosphere is casual/cool and service fast/friendly. The art of Pizza is so over-hyped/done over but Pizzasmith may be on to something and solve Pizza's only/biggest weakness (= the blind wait).

We ordered pepperoni, pineapple/ham, and sausage pizzas plus toppings. Everything was delicious and food was ready quickly. Loved the thin crust. Will definitely return.

Nice clean. Sounds paradoxical... fast gourmet pizza.... but they pull it off decently well. Good selection of pizzas, salads, and drinks. They make the pizza in front of you subway/chipotle style. Nice and clean. Everyone is friendly. The pizzas are decent. Nothing to blow you away but not bad for a quick bite to eat. Will probably be back as go to Bridgeport quite often.

Solid spot. Think it's likely the best pizza in the Bridgeport area. Have come back for the pesto chicken pizza on multiple occasions!

The pizza has all the fixings and was swimming in liquid after it was cooked. The bottom of the pizza was burnt and soggy at the same time. Sadly, we were not impressed.

We were excited to finally try this new place that just opened up recently. They still have a few kinks to work out but we were willing to be guinea pigs. The set up is kinda like chipotle or subway. You start off with empty crust, choose a sauce and toppings OR you can pick a pre-selected topping pizza from the menu. Love the concept, especially since my kids like only cheese and olives. Be warned: it can be hard to communicate with the folks making the pizza on the other side of the glass when it's busy. Not only are they far from you, but it can get noisy, crowded, and become a downright screamfest to get your order across. I'd much prefer having a little sheet to check off what toppings I want then hand it to the pizza maker, instead of politely yelling and/or constantly repeating "I'm sorry, what did you say???" Service is excellent, as expected for a new place. Servers were super nice, tables clean and well stocked. Big plus; the pizzas are done in record time! By the time we settled in (with 3 kids it takes a while) the pizzas were done within minutes. On to the food. The crust isn't too bad for thin crust. You can taste that it's fresh (obviously they made it in front of you) and it has a nice crunch. They have a decent selection of toppings to chose from, which tasted fresh. Considering it was a thin crust, I would say 2/3 of a whole pie could have been enough for me, so if you're a big eater don't plan on sharing. The salad selection isn't bad either. We had a "small" kale salad that was huge. We split it and still couldn't finish it! And it was delish. Why not 5 stars? Honestly it tasted like I could have made it at home. The food wasn't bad, it just didn't stand out as excellent. Would we come back? Absolutely. My kids like it, I love that it's fast, service is great, and the place is clean.

Tasty Pizza fast! Toppings all nice and fresh you can see. Pizza is big enough to share but so yummy get one per person and take some home. Location was nice to stay and eat there but also good to grab on the go because they are pretty fast. Will be back next time we are in the area shopping Bridgeport or catching a movie and need lunch or dinner.

  • Natalie S.

Great idea! I love being able to see them make the pizza and be able to choose from the different ingredients. Can't go wrong with a classic cheese either! I also like that it's quick but you don't feel like you need to rush out either. I also love that they now have a lunch size menu.

    (5)
  • Gerard K.

We had a really good Margherita pizza. It was really fresh and quick and they make it in front of you like Papa Murphy's. The sign on the wall mentioned that they use local ingredients which is very Portland, despite this place being in the Burbs. Hope I hear more out of this place. Great spot!

    (4)
  • Rob B.

Surprisingly pretty okay pizza. The crust could stand to be a little crisper and the cheese they use doesn't seem to be great quality, but it's a great place to go if you're by Bridgeport and need to grab a bite to eat. We went on a Sunday around noon, the restaurant was slow (as were the shops), but the staff was friendly and quick. They have a decent selection of beer and bottled sodas too. It's not worth a trip out there just for the pizza, but it's a perfect spot to swing by for a cheap decent pizza when you're out shopping.

So good! Locally sourced ingredients, lots of delicious options for your pizza, friendly customer service, and great prices (discounts at happy hour and lunchtime). Our family are big fans of this fun spot. It's nice to have a non-chain restaurant at Bridgeport, where most everything else is a franchise.

This place has fabulous crust...and all of the other toppings are your choice including sauce ..... white , red ,none ......whatever your heart desires and no fault of theirs if you don't like it! !!...Of course they do have pie options of their own on the menu.

Not bad pizza for an ok price... In a landscape of overpriced mediocre pizzas. It has nice quiet outside eating area... Inside is loud cold, and windy. Ill come back again for lunch special.

Very nice guy made my lunch size pizza today. Place is very clean, plenty of staffing. I'm hoping they do well enough to open up another couple locations! Very tasty! I think it would be even better if they added 1mm to the crust thickness.

Delicious pizza...love all of the unique custom toppings like roasted pineapple, roasted garlic, Brussels sprouts, fresh basil, brocolini, potatoes....you can make the pizza you have always dreamed of! The pizza is delicious. I ordered the Napoli pizza; had the perfect amount of sauce, cheese, and toppings. Super flavorful ingredients. Love how fast the pizza is ready. The salads are also so delicious. Highly recommend the kale salad. The creamy Gorgonzola dressing really makes it.. Nice beers and wine on tap with a cool selection of non alcoholic drinks. Super clean and friendly, fast service. Can't wait to come back!

I love these build your own personal size pizza in front of you type places and these guys do it right. You pick you sauce, toppings and you can have a salad made too if you like. the crust is nice and thin the way I like and the toppings are good quality. They are very nice and they work fast. Great stuff!

I got the B+B pizza and it was sooo good!! I would recommend this place over Pieology.

I've been here three times now and it had been delicious each time. On my second visit, I had a problem with my pizza and the staff took care of it immediately. Good customer service! The lunch prices are very reasonable.

Wife brought me home a GF pie with arugula, broccolini, and mushrooms. In the past I would have packed my bags and left. With the new dietary challenges I fell in love with her when I ate this. Very good fast format pizza. Salad was very good too. Definitely on the favorite list. Wish the cheese didn't slide off so easily. Just means I need to chew carefully. Big enough to share if doing portion control.

If there were more locations of pizza smith I'd be content only eating their pizza for the rest of my life. You can taste the quality and the crust is awesome

The pizza is amazing, they let you customize your pizza as they are making it, are extremely friendly, and are reasonably priced. It was out in 5 minutes, flat. They also have a great selection of beer and wine... I will definitely be back.

First of all, don't try to find Pizzasmith on GPS based on the address. I wandered around Bridgeport Village and finally asked Guest Services. It's next door to the Regal Cinemas gigaplex (afterward, I saw you get the exact location if you go to their website). You can choose from 9 meat pizzas and 8 veggie pizzas or make your own. No small, medium or large, all pizzas are the same size -- 8 inches. Almost went with Brussel sprouts and bacon but played it safe on the first visit and opted for pepperoni instead. The service is great, even though the staff is still learning the process. The pizzas are made in front of you as you walk down to the cashier. They even showed the pizza to me before they cooked it, kinda like checking out your lobster before they throw it in the pot. True to their claim, it only took about 3 minutes to cook the pizza in their 700 degree oven. The crust was deliciously firm and chewy, not crispy at all - a little like Pizzacatto, but much cheaper ($9-$10). The toppings were flavorful, but if you're used to pizza chains that stack pepperoni nearly one on top of the other, you won't find that here. Plenty of space between disks and a LOT of crust. One pizza filled me up, but you could split one with a friend and get salads. Pizzasmith featured half a dozen beers on the blackboard, but I went with a soda. All in all, an OK pizza. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here again (I don't like driving around to find parking at Bridgeport Village anyway), but if I end up there, I may stop in and try the Meat Me at Pizzasmith, which has pepperoni, sausage, meatballs, onion, mushroom, and olives ($9.75).

I like the concept of fast gourmet pizza. They have preset menu and ability to customize, pretty good selection of salads, bottled beers as well as other common beverages. I ordered off the seasonal menu, Lambie Pie. The flavor combo was good. HOWEVER, I was sadly disappointed with the texture of the first bite: Soft, doughy, and soggy. Not what I expected in thin crust pizza. Maybe it could've been in the oven longer? Bottom line: I wouldn't mind waiting little longer for perfectly done pizza than 'save time' and trying to finish sad tasting meal while thinking about what's next place to try. I like to give good reviews and spread the words to friends but they need to execute better and need more quality control of their main menu, Pizza. (Note: It would appear more hygienic if the workers use gloves when handling raw veggies and meat. Long nails maybe pretty but I couldn't help but wonder how clean they were )

Lots of good things here: 1. I liked the clean industrial look, quite comfortable and clean. 2. When I asked how it worked, simple explanation... Tell us what you want and we make it in front of you . chipotle but instead pizza. 3. Ingredients looked and tasted fresh. 4. Fast for a fresh cooked pizza. 5. Tasted great. Right amount of sauce, cheese and ingredients. Crust was hot and crispy. Overall I'm giving it four stars. You do need to eat the pizza fairly fast as the crust cools and becomes like thin cardboard...but still edible. Looks like they have beer...but we had to return to work. I'll be back.

First time trying this place out. Love the concept. Ordering was easy and fast. Really enjoyed the pizzas. The music in the place was loud that we could barely hear the person taking our orders, but overall will definitely return and try other pizzas on the menu.

Fun little spot. Bought four pies and two beers for under forty dollars with the happy hour specials. The seating situation was a challenge for my group of six. Was consistently busy for dinner service.

Pizzasmith is brand new and their staff, while enthusiastic, is still learning the ropes. But the pizzas were very good, very fresh, and ready very quickly out of the oven. Very good crust. Everybody is very conscientious and friendly, and went above and beyond to be of service. We'll be back!

Excellent fresh pizza! We tried the gluten free Chicken and Pesto. I ordered a large field of greens salad and asked if the organic green tea with citrus was sweetened , even tho it tasted sweet it was not. I loved it! I will definitely go back and recommend it to anyone that wants a bite to eat after movies, as it is right next to Bridgeport theatre.

This is the best pizza. This is my third time here. I have brought my family I enjoy it so much. The build your own pizza is the way to go. Lots of topping choices. Everything is grown local which I like. The staff is very friendly!

Great addition to Bridgeport. We took our young children in for a quick but healthy lunch. Friendly staff, fresh toppings, nitrate free pepperoni! Loved the atmosphere.

My GF and I were lured here with the groupon like I'm sure a lot of you were, so we took a chance. The first thing I noticed was this place was dirty. More than half the tables were uncleared and there were bits of food everywhere on the floor. No one was bussing the tables because they were all too busy behind the counters either making pizza or chatting with each other. We actually had to clear our own table. This stayed like this well after we were done with our meal. As for the meal, we ordered a salad and two pizzas. The salad was fine but was a bit heavy handed with the dressing. The pizza on the other hand was a disappointment. The idea is awesome but the execution was not there. The crust came out really soggy and was a little greasy. They used so much cheese it overwhelmed that poor little pizza. Sometimes less is more especially since their ingredients were so good. We wanted to like this place, but with such a subpar experience we probably won't come here again.

So good! All the food tastes fresh and looks fresh too. Plus, many items are organic or locally sourced, and they offer gluten-free pizza crust. My mom has to be gluten-free so we'll be coming back here often! It's not often that you find a restaurant so convenient and fast, yet also very fresh and tasty. My pizza was ready in about 2 minutes. Two thumbs up for Pizzasmith!

Mmmm, I love the pig in paradise. The ham is sliced and natural (not processed). I didn't even like ham and pineapple pizza before, now I can't make myself order anything else.

its awesome to have no pressure of added charges when adding more toppings, especially one as simple as crushed garlic or a few leaves of basil. i loved that i could choose my sauce, toppings, etc. i plan to come back and try different combinations. my pizza was nicely cooked and delicious, my companion just got cheese and pepperoni. they make (or locally source, i cant remember) their own pepperoni and its a little on the greasy side after cooking, but hey, at least you know its not filled with chemicals! cant wait to come back!

Good price for a pie (came during happy hour), and super friendly service. Since you build your own pizza, if you don't like it it's kinda your own fault.

  • Audrea H.

Pretty good pizza. Great selection of toppings. You get to design your own pizzas and they assemble them in front of you. Kinda like Subway for pizza. Service was quick and friendly. Not a very long wait at all for the pizza to cook. Plus they serve beer and wine.

We tried Pizzasmith for lunch while shopping at Bridgeport and had a fantastic experience. You can choose from a menu selection or make your own. We had a Field of Greens with olives and a Saucy Hen lunchtime 7 inch pizzas and they were fantastic. The whole experience was great from start to finish, Good food fast and great customer service. We will be back!

My teens and I stopped in here after a movie for dinner. The pizza was great and the chopped salad I had was fresh and diverse. No plain Jane iceberg lettuce here. The service was fantastic. We really enjoyed this impulse stop, but it will become our go-to after movies henceforth.

Very good pizza with fresh ingredients! The pizza really does cook in 3 minutes so there is no wait. They have awesome service and are truly friendly. They asked me how my day was and actually waited for a response. Great place!!

I was excited to check out this new concept! I took my teenager and he and I loved it! We had a limited amount of time because we were going to a movie next door. My son ordered the Saucy Hen and I had the Med pizza along with the Farro +Spinach salad. They were delicious. All ingredients were super fresh and the portions were quite generous. The staff were very friendly and our food was prepared in 3 minutes as promised. This is our new "go to" resturant! You will not be disappointed :)

Love, love, loved this pizza! I have been super curious about the format of build-your-own-pizza-bar, and finally tried it out for lunch yesterday. My husband and I split a custom-built pizza and a small salad, and had more than enough fresh and delicious food to go around. The toppings selection was more than I had hoped for (caramelized onions and brusssel sprouts, yumm!) and the crust was the perfect amount of chewy with just enough crunch. The "smiths" were very friendly - were obviously trying to make a good first impression. It worked... we'll be back, for sure!!

Very nice. First time eating at one of these types of pizza restaurants and I'm a fan. I worked in two different pizza joints back in high school so I'm always evaluating the crust anytime I eat pizza. Crust was great. You can really tell really fresh ingredients and the flavor of all of them from the crust, sauce, and toppings were bright. I had a pepperoni, salami, and garlic pizza as I didn't want to weigh the dough down too much as I didn't know what the crust could take. I usually don't pay as much attention to the sauce as other things on pizza but this one really stood out to me. Loved the tang of it. The pepperoni was amazing too and then I noticed their blurb about their pepperoni up on the overhead menu which talked about their sourcing of it. Oh, there were three adults and two kids (8 and 11) and everyone loved the pizzas they got.

This was a fun place. I love the concept of watching them make your pizza. And the pizza was good! Our group had all different kinds (I enjoyed my margarita) and everyone seemed to like them. But the seating is awful. Uncomfortable tables/chairs and so limited. We often think of going back but then remember that we may not get a seat. Perhaps this will be a good take out place for us.

  • Romer B.

We decided to try this new place out. Very friendly staff upon entering. Menu is simple to understand. Individual pizzas, about ten inch diameter. I felt that the toppings were sparce. I ordered a marinara, it had six slices of tomato and four basil leaves for an eight slice pizza. Crust and sauce are good. My wife ordered pepperoni pizza with a similar topping outcome. At a dollar a slice I should have at least a tomato and basil leaf on each slice.

  • Nick T.

Great pizza place. There all individual pizzas with great ingredients. VERY fresh. The sausage I think is homemade. I hope they never lose that recipe. The crust was perfect. This is a really enjoyable place to eat. I can't stress enough...really good toppings! I will be back. They had lots of staff and service was great. They make the pizza right there in front of you and it's ready to go to your table in 2 minutes! Fast, friendly and a great bang for your buck.

Tried Pizzasmith for the first time. Had the Margherita pizza and a Caesar salad. Both were excellent and rival any wood fired pizza I've had. Service was prompt and friendly. I highly recommend giving it a try.

  • Lucy C.

It was ok. The staff seemed a bit apathetic. The pizza was decent. My crust was burned. The toppings were good. My boyfriend's crust was perfect so there was some inconsistencies in the cooking process. The thing that really annoyed me though was that they rely on calling out your name when your pizza is ready but the girl calling out the names couldn't be heard unless you were standing 3 feet away. The loud music and busy atmosphere meant our pies sat for several minutes. The girl made no attempt to call out again or find the owners of the pies sitting in front of her. Overall it was a disappointing debut but given its proximity to the movie theater I'll likely give it another shot.

Yum! I like that you can have two different types on one pizza. Everything was so fresh and their sausage is delicious. We had pizza and a small Caesar salad which wasn't small. Everyone was really friendly and we can't wait to go back!

When I was in Italy, I was so impressed with their version of the pizza. I wondered why we couldn't have pizza like that here in US, hot and fresh served as soon as it came out of the oven. Now I feel like i've found a cheaper solution than flying overseas. The pizza is made to order with fresh ingredients. Next time I go back, I might customize, but I was too tempted by the house pizzas. Fresh, hot and crisp, with a crust that has just a bit of char. Love it. Exceptionally friendly and enthusiastic staff. Wish they'd open another closer to my house!

Pizzasmith makes a yummy pizza. I ordered the Napoli - the crust was crunchy and the sauce vs. topping ratio was just right. The friendly staff hand made the pizza while I watched, and the whole process was quick and easy. Nine bucks for a crispy, fresh pizza (I took two slices home) is a great value. I'll be eating there again soon.

Pizzasmith is fantastic! I have tried two of the Smithy Pizzas (the B+B and the Farm to Pie) and both were delicious! What creative and tasty combinations! I've also had a Craft Your Own pizza and ordered all of the toppings that my family will never let me have on a shared pizza. I even asked the server to put on additional mushrooms (a vegetable looked upon with disdain by the rest of my family). He kindly obliged! The salads were great as well. Overall, I thought the staff was friendly and attentive and the décor is smart and hip. We'll be back soon!

Pizzasmith is a foodie's restaurant-- real food, made fast, but NOT 'fast food.' It is also a parent's dining out dream! Quick, fun, friendly, and yummy. Everything from a cheese pizza for my youngest, unadventurous eater, to creative pizzas and salads for the adults. Beer and wine on tap and a hip ambiance make this into a real restaurant experience, not a pre-fab, soulless chain. You can build your own pizza with fresh, quality toppings, or pick one of Pizzasmith's signature pies. The crusts are hand stretched. The pizzas are baked in a super hot oven in just a few minutes and the crusts are thin but with a good chew. A good pizza has to have a crust you want to eat, and this one does. I really like their salads as well; I recommend the Chopped salad. Fun for weekend date night at Bridgeport, but great for quick weeknight meals with the kiddos as well. Or, my favorite-- play hooky, have pizza for lunch and catch a matinee!
