Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

Took delivery of the Foo Foo, and to say the most it was edible. There was hardly any feta cheese on it, which is very disappointing when it comes to a vegi pizza, especially when you pay $20. But the alligator sausage pizza has a nice bite to it.

5/5 for 5 Reasons #1 I love supporting local business owners- Yes, Pizza Schmizza is a chain, but anyone who was raised in Portland knows this is a PNW franchise and individually owned and operated. #2 Vegetarian/Vegan and Gluten free options- The NO's pizza is absolutely fabulous. This means no meat, flour, dairy, or basically any of the bad stuff. Plus salads can be made without cheese...so great! #3 Table for one- I travel alone all the time. I love this place because there's tons of shit to look at in the store. Not only this but they always have lots of magazines, papers and ad's to browse while eating alone. Not to mention TV's! #4 Beer! - Oh yeah! No explanation needed here! ps good ones on tap too #5 Delicious and Creative- The food is soooo good! I mean when you want some straight up good pizza and breadsticks...limitless options!!!! The crust is AMAZE! I highly recommend this place! It's right off Mcloughlin by Starbucks and the Fred Meyer... perfect lunch spot to grab a quick slice!

Classic pizzas served in a retro game and movie environment. It has coloring pages for kids and puts them on display and there's a wall covered in different clocks. The staff is friendly and they now sell wine and beer. They also have specials everyday to make your dollar stretch. I've been a long time patron and will keep coming back for more.

If you like applebee's or red robin's walls, but wish they were a bit more eclectic or unique than the mainstream--then step right up because Pizza Schmizza is the place to go! With the hue of street light green bouncing off the tinshed walls adorned with random collectors clocks, or mugshots of celebs or even the latest coloring book art from visiting kiddos, Schmizza's got it slabbed on the walls. But I digress from what you want to know..."Jenn...is the food edible?!" Yes, now simma down now. You have options people, options. Pizza by the slice (genoa and the don ho are my favs) or perhaps like cold stone you just 'gotta have it' (I may have just jacked that from a comedian) you can order a full pie. Or maybe you just want a salad, or the newest member to their menu--wings (and I am a bit of a prostitute for wings these days)...whatever it is you want, baby they got it. And it's good, yummy grub. It is a bit more expensive (full pies) than other places, but these kids (because i've never seen a legit adult there) work hard for their money and if you tip them right they'll ding the bell--and you can take credit for it. PS--they are also very community focused and like to help organizations with fundraisers--so if you need a company, give 'em a ring.

Friendly staff but the pasta could use a little help. I hear the chicken wings are decent. Not really much parking in front of the building, use the Fred Meyer parking lot.

Wanted to try out this place since I arrived w/o knowing anything about it except seein it everywhere as I was driving all over the Portland/Milwaukie area last wk. Finally stopped by on the day of my sister's wedding to thinkin I'd grab a couple slices of pizza to tide us over for the long day/night to come. However, their menu offerings called me to purchase other items. I ordered a Caesar chicken salad for $4 & got her the chicken pesto pasta for $5. It was the perfect portion size for us and the food was excellent. Our food was made upon order and presented quickly. I was extremely pleased with the quality/taste/price of our meals.

I've been to probably six Schmizzas. In general, when the right staff is working, there is great restaurant quality service at this particular location. Cozy and clean shop, the usual funky decor, and a few video games. A good stop after the Value Village.

These guys are fantastic. Local business that makes great food and treats customers well. I also appreciate them trying new things. It's not everywhere you can get a pizza with steak and red potatoes on it. Jessica and Spencer are really cool folks, I like the casual atmosphere. Happy hour deals are great!

I've been to this PS several times as it's close to home. I like a slice with a salad and cold brew... This trip was horrible...two kids working and only one could serve beer. No problem I can wait. The beer-serving-dude just goes back to making pizza. I go to the counter and ask for my beer. Beer-serving-dude looks at me and ignores my request. This happened again! I finish my slice and went back up to get a refund on my beer. Non-beer-serving-dude cannot do this so beer-serving-dude has to come up to do the refund...register malfunctions. I explain to this fine young man it would have taken less time to pour one beer than to do the refund...he could not care less. And now I can't... Bottom line, I'll go back and check out the place again to see if the beer-serving-dude is working, which I doubt because a person with those skills has to be upward and onward...

Pretty good pizza but terrible reliability. We ordered a large Don Ho and got all the way home to find it had no pineapple. Called, "bring it back, we'll make you another." "We're kind of far away..." Not cheap. Definitely not cheap enough to suck up not getting what you want and have to detour dinner for another hour with hungry mouths to feed. OK, my bad leaving the pickup without checking the pie but come on, this was kind of a major ingredient of the 2 toppings that go on a Don Ho and it wasn't too close to close, they weren't busy. And I tip oh so good but this makes me not want to go back, been burned by too many stoner pizza places, not that this was the worst experience but disappointing and could have gotten so many different things for that food budget and had a feast (Rotisserie Chickens for instance etc.).

This Schmizza location is one of my favorites. The staff is super friendly and often remember us when we come in. Since this is a chain restaurant you know what you are going to get menu-wise, but I find that unlike other locations, the quality here is consistently good.

On Sunday night 2/23/14, my wife and I decided to stop in and check this place out. From all the pizzas displayed behind the glass, we were confident in getting a great pizza to go. Our two large pizzas ordered to go were done at a reasonable time. Service was mediocre, both teenagers seemed confused and the teenage boy was arrogant and unpleasant. This was our first time in a Pizza Schmizza and our last. After getting home our pizzas were literally just a few pieces of pepperoni and very little sauce or cheese. It was THE WORST PIZZA WE HAD EVER HAD. We were so mesmerized by the pizzas on display we assumed the quality would be equal. NOPE!!! The crust is bland and gross, hardly any sauce and literally left four inches of crust around the entire pizza, without any toppings at all. MOST DISGUSTING PIZZA EVER!!! Had we known we would have checked out the pizzas before we left to assure quality, I suggest anyone going to this dive to do so before you leave with your pizza, especially if you live more than 5 miles away.

Great food, good service and hilarious staff. Ask the guy that works there to make wookie noises for you! The food is pretty good and above average for pizza...a 3. The staff makes it fun to come here....a 5....so I give it a 4!

This place is the best Schmizza I have visited. I was pretty bummed when the Gresham Station location closed a few years ago, so I was glad to find this store tucked away next to Freddy's in Oak Grove. The staff is ALWAYS friendly (at least to us), and they are always playing music (genre changes monthly) through a nice ceiling-mounted BOSE system. The food is very on-par with other Schimizza locations. New York-style crust, with a variety of yummy toppings. More hot sauces than you can shake a stick at- and FREE ICE TEA! I actually try to make a habit of going every Thursday after work. So what if the pizza give me a coronary before I go grey? I'll die a happy man.

Pizza good. Schmizza good. They've got a good Pie & a Pint deal and Mexican Coke. Yeah, the sugar kind. And a bunch of other sodas in bottles. If you're into pasta, the Frickin' Chicken is where it's at. The place is a little small, but the workers are all really nice.

SAD DAY! I went for some pizza today and it was horrible! The counter person was very rude and the pizza we received was thin and limp. $22.99 for this? Little Caesars $5 pizza is better on their bad day. I'm so disappointed in what I received today.

5 dollar meal- 2 slices of pizza for 2.00 each plus 1.00 for a soda between 3p and 5p.
