My Deli & Sushi

This place is great, it's super close to Joe's restaurant where I work, so it's a great quick meal for when I'm tired of Mexican food. Which happens often. The owner is the one who's working each time I come in, and he's one of the nicest guys I've met. Greets you right away with a smile on your face, and makes the food quick, and always gets exactly what you want. He has some great deals which are worth the money, and the portions are great. It's got a small dining area so it's more of a to-go place, but the best sushi I've had in the valley.
Cheap, tasty - not fancy sushi and they don't seem to have any vegetable dishes, Take about mostly, although they have two tables and you can eat there. Chicken Teriyaki is good - again not fancy but for five bucks it's amazing! Always fresh. Friendly, functional staff.
This is a small, one-man operation (or was when I was there) where the chicken is cooked on a propane grill in front of the store front cafe. Inside the small shop are a couple of tables, a small cooler of drinks and a rack of candies. My guess is that much of his business comes from students are the nearby high school on their lunch break. The menu includes several types of sushi and teriyaki chicken over rice. I ordered the chicken. A generous amount of meat was served over lots of rice in a oblong styrofoam container. Teriyaki is a marinating sauce: the meat should be soaked in it before grilling. At this place, like most such fast food local "bento" establishments, the sauce was squirted over the meat and rice before serving. (I don't care for rice saturated with sauce.)

Angelo’s Pizza

They do a quality pizza over at Angelo's. I saw that they even do a gluten free! Friendly service, too. Top contender for best in the Valley.
Pizza fan? Good for u... not me! :-) I am never excited about pizza, except when we're on the road to and from Cali. We always stop in to Angelo's for dinner: salad bar, pizza, sometimes a mug of beer. Or their lunch buffet which includes all the goodies and delicious chicken and Jo Jo potatoes. Today we had the buffet and I asked if I could have a few taters done crispy and they brought me a full plate of them!! YUM!!! The people running the place are always so friendly... we love it! Our only complaint is that they don't have an Angelo's in Eugene. Too bad because pizza parlors in our town never ever pile on the toppings like this... u can order a smaller sized pizza here because of that! We discovered this little gem on accident just over 2 yrs ago when we made a stop in Phoenix for gas. They don't make pizza parlors like this anymore.
Stopped here on a road trip and wasn't disappointed. The 12" pizza we ordered was very cheesy and the toppings were plentiful. The service was very friendly too. I could see at least 8 different beers on tap with two large televisions in the spacious seating area, and NASCAR garb hanging in various places. Crust was crispy, but a little flavorless. Would definitely stop here often if I were a local.

Golden Phoenix Chinese Restaurant

303 N Main St
Phoenix, 97535
Reviews:
Not fantastic, not terrible. Just the same old every day Chinese food that you expect to find in southern Oregon. The crab Rangoon were unlike any that I've ever had before. They had full (imitation) crab, large onion chunks, and very little cream cheese. The wontons had no filling at all. Those were quite disappointing. The restaurant was uncomfortably quiet. All of the other diners were elderly couples, we were the only ones with children. It certainly amplified everything that they said. The owner was very kind and gracious though, talking with them and making sure they were happy with their food. I've heard that you get better food and service the more you go back... but I don't think we will try again.
The best Chinese food I've had. The service was excellent, the food was hot with no msg. Super large portion too Definitely coming back
Yes. Oh, yes. My travel buddy and I are headed from the Bay Area to Portland. Our 1st time and not the last. Seriously the food is great. It's not like 100 other places I have been. Fresh, moist, flavorful, just simply delish. Crab puffs are crazy good. Just go and enjoy.

The waiters were very friendly, the portions were big and the quality was very good. Its like this with many of the mexican restaurants I've been to, though all in all I was very satisfied! :3
I love Mole but most restaurants put flour in the sauce. I have Celiac disease meaning wheat, barley and rye act like rat poison to me, . On the slim chance a restaurant doesn't use flour, I always ask. I was pleasantly surprised when the waitress said one of the owners has a flour allergy and no flour in any of their sauces. YAY! I haven't had Mole at a restaurant in 6years. A little thinner than prefer, but it was delicious.
Great service! Beautiful decor with murials of mayan/aztec temples, Jaguars and Leopards. Was clean and larger inside than I thought. The waitresses are VERY attentive but sometimes too much. I have a food allergy and they were really good about getting my order correct snd answering all of my questions about ingredients. So glad they were patient with me. :) I can't have tomato, lemon, lime, orange, coconut, pineapple. In a mexican restaurant....can you imagine? Lol! But I went here on Valentine's Day with my hubby. He enjoyed his meal. Salsa was really good he said. I was able to eat the tortilla chips and beans which was nice but none of their appetizers. I was limited to their seafood menu or a burger. :/ I ordered the Seafood Chimicanga. The first couple bites were really good but it was way too FISHY and strong like it wasn't fresh. Gave me a bellyache. Definitely not worth the $14.95 for my meal. After I left I felt nauseous. But their Sopapillas were good for under $5. My hubby said he likes the mexican restaurant in Ashland better. I forget the name but it is on the main street, Siskiyou I think. I never tried it. So as a whole it is good if you order mexican food but avoid the SEAFOOD! ;)

Let's face it, it is what it is. Still one of my favorite McDonald's restaurants in the valley.
Horrible service. Me: "Yes can I please have two McChickens no lettuce" Nick "yea yea two McChicken yo yo, does the screen look correct yo" Me: yes Nick " did you not lettuce or sumthin like that" haha Me: "yes that's what I said" For reals did he talk like that during his interview.
I quit. Their drive thru is the perfect example of how to epically fail customers. Orders are right for a month or two and then they fail everywhere. Yes, you should sit in the drive thru and double check your order, until they give you a bunch of dirty looks and you start wondering if they will spit in your food. Don't call corporate, don't email the owner (who plastered signs all over the building). Don't complain to the manager. I've already done all this. It won't change. Go buy food at 7-11. Won't be much different and it'll actually be what you paid for.

Pho Sur

4150 S Pacific Hwy
Phoenix, 97535
Reviews:
I am a Pho connoisseur. I have had good Pho and not so good Pho. But never Pho that I had a hard time eating. Maybe they were just having an off day. The broth tasted like a concentrated beef bouillon. Too strong to eat, missing the traditional spices like star anise, ginger and garlic. The beef was dry and didn't look fresh, the jalepenos appeared to have been previously frozen. They served cilantro on the plate instead of basil with a lime wedge and a modest amount of sprouts. I was hungry so I ate the food and left the broth. I had to get a bite down the street to clear my head because I couldn't stop thinking about how bad it was and the taste was lingering on my tongue. However the server was sweet and cute as a button.
I called in last night around 8:25 to ask them when they close and when they stop taking take out orders. The lady told me they close at 9, but she would wait for me to come in. I jumped in my car and arrived at the restaurant at 8:40. I saw one couple leave as I arrived, two ladies finishing their meal, and a man leaving with his to go order. I also noticed a man in the back as he finished washing dishes. The lady greeted me every so nicely, and took my order, as I paid another customer called to place an order, he was a regular. Once she put our meal tickets to hang in the cooking area, the man came and started yelling at the lady "Ahh! You know no what time we close!??!! I'm tired!! I no like it!!" The lady and I smiled and shared a little chuckle as I signed my receipt. I felt so bad I left her a $5 tip. This all happened by 8:47. By 8:52 PM, the man left the building; leaving the lady to cook and clean the whole restaurant by herself. She even tried telling him to quiet down because they still had customers and it was embarrassing for her and bad business. I felt so bad!!! I grabbed the traditional Vietnamese dinner plate with egg rolls. It was so delicious! Not as delicious as the Vietnamese food I've enjoyed in LA. But for now, this will do. I will be back because I've also enjoyed their pad Thai, but again, don't go in there 45 minutes before they close.
Like other folks have said when this place first opened, the Asian Fusion was the best in Valley. Sometime last year the restaurant was sold to new owners. They kept the same menu but the dishes are now made with low quality pre-made frozen products. Unfortunately this was just set up a restaurant flip. The original owners, bring in a talented chef, top quality products, build up the clientele and then sell it to the highest bidder. The restaurant now is completely run by a Chinese husband and wife team, no employees. So the service is poor as well. My girl friend ordered a chicken dish, which came out with pre-cooked chicken squares. When we got home she open the freezer and pulled a bag out to show me.
