Great bbq food. The baked potato casserole is awesome and all of the meats are good. The staff is amazing they are always nice and very fast. Kinda steep on the price but you get what you pay for.

Pretty good food! Expected that it would be the same like all to other Dickeys food chains that I've been too. I have always liked their beef brisket and ribs. Their jalapeño poppers are good also but something you shouldn't take on yourself. Love the fact that there is also free ice cream and cones! You heard right free!

No smoke to the meat, very plain all around. This place sucks. The brisket is always tough. The pork is dry. The fried Oakes is salty. They put cheddar chesse on the sandwich Wichita is totally wrong.

BBQ is all manufactured and served by kids that know nothing of BBQ. There was no flavor of smoke or BBQ flavor at all, the sauce is bland heat.. Overall barely edible.

Holy smokes this place was great. Got a plate with brisket and pulled pork. Both were very tender and tasty. The brisket was probably a little better - more smokey flavor. Got fried okra and their potatoe casserole for sides. Friendly staff.

Two people in line, three people working, Stoll took fifteen minutes to eat. I don't understand why they use the plastic cup instead of paper, I know fast food is resource intensive, but it's a bit much.

Fantastic barbecue at an even better price. Stopped over on a roadtrip and had the need brisket sandwich. Free ice cream cones make it even better!

Extremely helpful staff! My wife has a number of allergies and when when we stopped at Dickey's to get some lunch for the road, the staff was extremely outgoing and helpful in checking to make sure the meat, sides, and sauces did not contain anything she could not eat. The chicken was delicious! Dickey's is right off the freeway, and I would definitely stop there again to pick up some good, fast food for the road.

Great Bisket and lets face it who cares what any other meat tastes like the beef is all that matters and its good. Mac n cheese and Potato casserole are great, fried okra is ok and everything else i tried was average at best. I have been 10+ times and live a hour away you do the math. No where else in a 100 mile radius to get decent bbq and this is good if your craving some bbq but if you got 3 hours to kill can find better in metro area.s

I got the Wednesday special, pulled pork with sausage and two sides plus my big yellow cup for $8.99! My two sides were the iron fries and the slaw and I thought everything tasted great! I will make this a regular lunch stop when I pass through.

We ate here for the first time last night. I was pleasantly surprised. Brisket was awesome! Mac-n-Cheese was creamy. Coleslaw was bland. Fried okra excellent. Baked potato casserole was more like baked potato mash. Regular bbq sauce wasn't really any different than something from a bottle. All in all we had a tasty dinner and will be going back.

Better than most fast food. I wouldn't call it the best BBQ but it's pretty decent. I prefer the pulled pork. I travel through Pendleton fairly often and it's better than other fast options. The tea is fantastic and they have gluten free options for my son. My husband travels a lot and he usually stops here.

Some great smoked meat! The flavors are great but the meat portion could be a little bigger. Amazing customer service and cleanliness. Between my husband and I, we got the brisket, pulled pork, chicken and polish sausage. All were juicy and delicious. We will definitely be back.

First review! Alright! Dickey's BBQ Pit opened in Pendleton at 11:00 AM, August 14, 2013. As P-town does not get many new options for fare, I was decided to drop in for lunch on opening day at 11:15. Apparently everyone else shares the same opinion I do, as the parking lot was full, and this very small establishment (the former Subway on Southgate), though roomier now with the renovation, already had a line to the door. My friends and I waited in line for 10 minutes before they took off out of impatience. I've waited much longer for FAR more mundane options in my time, and I stuck around to check it out. The line seemed to be taking a lot longer than it should for this type of establishment, but primary hold up seemed to be that the patrons did not understand how to order food... For those who have not been to a Dickey's before, it's pretty much the option of either putting meat on a plate, or on a bun, then choosing sides.... REAL tough :P . Eventually the manager, who was very friendly throughout the dining experience, addressed the crowd and explained the premise, and the line started moving quicker after that. Shortly following, the manager at this time started making his way through the line, offering samples of their spicy cheddar sausage, to stymie the hunger until ordering time. The sausage was OK, and while it had good flavor/spice, there was not the resounding smoke flavor, nor a firm/cooked skin that I've come to expect from "pit" bbq. My expectations were somewhat capped at this point, as I wondered what to expect from the other options. I ordered the 2-meat plate, choosing brisket and chicken breast, which comes with 2 sides, a roll, onions and a pickle slice (I do mean slice, not wedge). For the sides, I chose the jalapeno beans, and the baked potato casserole. ($10.50, + $2 for the yellow plastic cup to quench my thirst). The 2 meats took up slightly more volume than a man's closed fist. The sides were about 4 oz apiece. As an establishment whose roots are in Texas, I had especially high hopes for the brisket. This was the first item i tried on my plate, and unfortunately this part of my order fell short. The meat featured a smoke ring and was quite moist, but unfortunately lacked ANY flavor of its own. I found it tasted [best] dipped/smothered in the sweet version of their bbq sauce. While I am not opposed to a dab of sauce on bbq, I feel it should compliment the flavor of the meat and seasonings, not compensate for the lack of it. I can, and have, make/made a better one at home. Fortunately the chicken brought me back. The chicken had very good flavor, included the smoke ring/flavor as well, was seasoned nicely and was incredibly moist. It needed no sauce (and I found myself eating most of it without such accompaniment), and was my favorite part of the meal. Well done, Dickey's! The sides were solid. The beans had a nice smoky-jalapeno flavor. Saltiness and sweetness found a good balance, and I thoroughly enjoyed them. I do doubt these were prepared in house, but this is a fast-food style bbq joint, so I didn't expect the world. The baked potato casserole is a generous monicker for "mashed potatoes with cheese and green onions on top". They tasted good, but did not stand out. Again, highly doubt these are prepared in-house. The roll had good texture, but I did not find butter, honey, jam, or any other option to top it with. I ended up dipping it in the jalapeno beans. Solid combo, but still seemed incomplete. Perhaps I did not look thoroughly enough for the spreads. I finished my entire meal, and certainly did not leave hungry. Overall good dining experience, and I will return to try other menu items (and certainly the chicken again). If you're in Pendleton and are craving some BBQ, this isn't a bad stop. Though, the recently opened "Sundown" (same place, same owners as Raphael's) may better tickle your fancy.
