Stopped here on the way to Crater Lake. Adorable tiny woman who could be my grandmother behind the counter. Felt like I stepped back in time! She didn't move very fast but made a fantastic pizza! Thin crust! Pizza was done in 10 minutes. Draft beer. Salad bar. It was delicious. Nice surprise!!

We walked in at 10:50am and the sign clearly stated breakfast til 11:00. We stood there for awhile and finally asked if we should seat ourselves. We were told that if we wanted breakfast that we had to order at the counter and pay right the. Since breakfast was almost over. So we ordered and paid. Then we waited and waited and waited. People who came in after us got there food and we waited. Finally we were told that since we paid in advance our ticket had been misplaced by the bartender. After 40 minutes we got our breakfast and it was all cold except for the biscuits and gravy which showed up 10 minutes later . When I told them it was cold I was told that it couldn't of been because she had microwaved it right before bringing it out... Horrible!!

Very disappointed in Big Mountain, especially given that it's pretty much the only family restaurant in the area. Every time we have gone there to order something other than pizza off of their menu, we are told they don't have it. They may have this great menu, but in reality, you can have pizza or salad from the salad bar, which is more often than not covered in flies. Also, some of the staff there is incredibly rude! We called one time and, without going into details, the call ended up being very confusing and we ended up being yelled at and yelled over by one the employees. When I asked to speak with a manager, I was told that there wasn't one there. I don't know what that woman's problem was, but after yelling at my husband for a while, he asked me to try. She immediately started yelling over me. I ended up saying some choice words and hanging up on her. Needless to say, we will never go to Big Mountain again!

I travel throughout Oregon on business doing around 3,500 road miles a month. The town near where I live is a logging town from its origins. This town put my little 'working man's' town to shame. Work pickup trucks are the predominant vehicle by a 3:1 margin. No suspenders, no respect. This pizza joint lived up to the hearty meal you'd expect in such a town. The filled parking lot was a good sign and my take-out pizza proof. The person who took my phone order was very nice and patient with my out of the ordinary order which was the Eagle Creek pizza minus mushrooms and plus salami and sausage. It's been awhile since I've been able to say about a pizza that 'it was fantastic.' Fresh toppings to include savory meats that didn't have that typical waxy, preservatives after taste common at many pizza places. Just wish I'd have included onions (my bad). If you're staying in town or just passing through, you'll get the perfect small town, home cooking meal you're craving from this place.

We have been stopping here for pizza and sometimes fried mushrooms on the way to our cabin on Odell Lake for years and years! The pizza is great and I love the atmosphere.

We've been sitting here for over an hour now. When we first came in, we had to change our order for some unexplained reason (no big deal, we can be flexible). Each empty table in the dining area was marked as "reserved," (although nobody seemed to show up) except for two, which had both not been bussed. We cleared our own table and set the dishes with the others to be bussed, and watch them sit there for at least 45 minutes. Flies began to buzz. Still waiting for our order of one pizza, but at least we have the ambience of crying babies (yes, plural) to help bide the time. Save yourself the trouble and just go to Lee's or the brew pub. We'll be there too next time.

Stoked that this place was open for breakfast. Good place to fuel up before we hit the ripping singletrack in the area. Food is plentiful and the 3 egg omelette was really tasty. The lady who served us so super sweet. We will definitely be back next year.

We walked out before we got to order .. First they had one menu for the entire place. Second the woman taking orders talked to a local about a field trip and was angry and I could tell you the 5 minute conversation she had but I don't want to waste your life as she did mine.. Third the salad bar looked so nasty the poor lettuce was limp and turning brown .. After she said good bye to the woman she held hostage she turns to us and said what can I get you? After asking her a few simple questions I looked at my husband and said let's go... Thank God because we ate at a wonderful Mexican restaurant don't the street :)

Typical diner breakfast fare: eggs, carbs, nitrite/nitrate laden meat choice. They definitely didn't reinvent anything. But pretty inexpensive which is a plus because nothing ticks me off more than paying too much for crap. Everything could use a pretty serious deep clean, like a typical diner. Food was SO SLOW but I think there was one gal working the grill... Our server was nice enough- the only server- but pretty slow to refill coffee even after asking. 10 minutes later I just ended up walking my cup up to the counter to ask her Again. But this is your only breakfast choice in this town! We actually ran by Lion Mountain Bakery after, to see they were closed from Christmas through, well, tomorrow.

We live in a motorhome and travel all over the US. We were on a couple day trip looking at waterfalls and cover bridges. It was past noon and we were passing through Oakridge, OR and decided to get a bit to eat. If I could give no stars I would. My husband and I ages 61 and 54 both order a Calzone. They came out hard as a rock. Could not hardly cut in-half to eat with a knife. The crust had very little taste. When it came out in set in a pool of grease. There was no cheese to speak of in the Calzone. I ordered ice tea. I don't think they had not cleaned the ice container for a month. It tasted like there was slim in the container. Could not drink the tea. Hot chocolate was good. We have eaten at hundreds of restraunts across the US, many of them pizza places. This had to the worst. If you are totally starving when you come through Oakridge, OR and have to eat I would go to A&W or Subway. I also ask the lady taking my order if the sausage in the Calzone was Italian sausage. She turned to the girl that was cooking and ask her to show me what kind of sausage they uses. She rolled her eyes like I was a real pain. Save your money and go someplace else.

Stopped at big Mountain pizza for breakfast. This was a great country style breakfast! The waitress tried to warn me when I ordered two biscuits with gravy. She said "They're really big!" And they were! Friendly staff, good, fast service and great food!

They took our order at the counter and then totally forgot about us. Twenty minutes of History Channel later, we find out our order got lost in the reunion party they were hosting. They were quite insistent that we take our money back. But I was a bit reluctant (yes, I'm like that). So they offered us a plate of fried mushrooms which we accepted. Plain ol' button mushrooms taken from the freezer, dipped in batter and fried. We were done after just a handful. Ten minutes later, the pizza arrived. If it was in a blind test with pizza from Pizza Hut, I wouldn't have been able to tell the difference. Nice folks, but sorry to say, the food was just not good.

We used to stop by this place coming back from backpacking in the Cascades. Maybe it was having eaten only freeze dried food for 3 or more days but the pizza here was phenomenal. The place has undergone some management changes and the pizza is different now. The topping are fairly skimpy and the cheese doesn't taste right. Before the cheese was gooey and hung in strings from the pan all the way to your mouth. Now the cheese seems pasty and un-appetizing. The topping seem like they were taken from a National Hut chain instead of the quality ingredients that they used before. Plus this is a super backwards town with a population of 3200. Hwy 58 runs directly through Oakridge and the local police in this town are super excited to give out of towners tickets because they know they will never come back to contest them. So drive the speed limit, use your blinkers, and change lanes only when it is legal. But with all the negative, I probably will avoid this place in the future and take HWY 126 to avoid this town. The only good thing now is that they have a full bar in the back, but I wouldn't risk a drink with the Barney Fife's in this town.
