We went to Bob's for breakfast and the utensils were dirty and my mother found a hair in her meal. We informed the waitress and were not even offered an apology. When my mother questioned the waitress about being charged for the meal anyway she was told they would remove the price but the waitress said "I didn't know you were going to be so....." Extremely rude and totally unprofessional . Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone!
I occasionally have some work in the small towns around here, which means eating. If I have time I prefer to sample something local, rather than Yet Another Subway (fine, but I can get that anywhere). It's always a gamble, but this was a good lunch. The fare is standard American, (burgers, chicken fried steak, etc). I wouldn't try this if you're on a restricted diet, but the hamburger was quite good, and the pie was excellent. (They had three or four choices; I got some sort of mixed fruit.) I did not make it to happy hour but there were some intriguing choices; I had to get "calf fries" explained to me. I might try them just because when else would I get a chance? Tip I learned too late: ask for "hand cut fries" instead of regular French fries. I had them other places and they were definitely tastier than the usual frozen kind. You may be disappointed if you try to go at a non-standard time; although the sign claims they're open all day through dinner (sorry, I don't remember exact times), they were closed when we tried to go back at 2 pm. But check it out if you get the chance!
