I have been ordering there for the last couple months thinking every time I ordered they weren't going to mess up like the first time I went there and ordered food. Besides ordering a side of toast which includes a slice of bread cut in half for 2 dollars! I kept ordering from there only because they delivery too! but living max 2 minutes away from there and having them charge 3 dollars for delivery too...a little too much on that too. Today was the day my family and I had enough from there. The man (owner) of My Chit Chat Cafe was the one that had taken my order today. I had asked for a ham and cheese omelet, easy on the ham because if we order it regular, IT'S OVERSTUFFED WITH ham and we didn't want it to be so salty for heart reasons. What do I get, overstuffed ham and cheese. I had ordered a cup full of just ice and it didn't come in the order, the toast was NOT easy to eat, at the first bite I had to hassle with chewing it. IF YOU'RE GOING TO CHARGE 2 DOLLARS FOR A SLICE OF TOAST BREAD, PLEASE HAVE FRESH BREAD TO TOAST! AND BUTTER! I was a little unhappy with the whole order, so I decided to give them a call. Again the man(owner) answered the phone, I explained why I was unhappy. He responded: YOU ARE SO PICKY, IF YOU DON'T LIKE OUR FOOD, DON'T COME HERE ANYMORE. I was surprised in the way he spoke to me! I thought were WAS THE GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE??? and I told him that it was my pleasure, that my family and friends aren't going to go there ever again. DEF don't recommend this place to anyone. Hope this helps avoid going to a bad customer service place and overpriced place.

After I had a bad experience with this establishment, and thus wrote a bad review, the owners were extremely prompt and eager to make things right. My husband and I greatly appreciated the way they called us, and made sure we were taken care of. To make things even better, the food was AHHHHHMAZING, the portions were pretty big, and the prices are completely affordable! I'm a little ashamed to say hat my husband and I pretty much shoveled the food into our mouths, and barely talked to each other while we ate. After our first impression, I thought I'd have to stick to pizza delivery forever, since we live in a delivery dead zone. Now, I absolutely look forward to making future orders with My Chit Chat Cafe, not only for the incredible customer service, but for the beyond amazing food. My tummy is so happy right now! Definitely recommending my friends and family to try this place!

Great food. Good service and place is kept very clean. Lunch is a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. Portion size is good and quality of ingredients is too. Definitely worth trying if you've never been here.

Wow I am amazed. This is my first time stopping into this diamond in the rough. Had the chicken and prawn pad thai. Was presented beautifully. Tasted amazing! Great staff. Small place but I am sure anyone can find something great to eat here. Very vast menu! Will definitely be back! Thank you!

Chit chat cafe, lives up to it's name. As soon as you walk in the atmosphere is very friendly and open. The service was very friendly and catered to our needs. This was my first time coming here, so the waitress was very helpful with taking our order. The menu had a very diverse selection! Varying from hamburgers to terriyaki chicken to curry! I ended up getting Chicken Pad Thai, it was different from all the other pad thai I've ever had in a good way. They even give you a 15% off when you check in! Very nice place to have a meal, definitely will be a repeat!

I look forward to returning to My Chit Chat Café. Met a few friends for breakfast last Saturday and left very satisfied and happy. I enjoyed the Spinach omelet accompanied by wonderful tasting hash browns, wheat toast, blood orange slices, and a Thai Iced Coffee. My total including a 20% tip was $12. P.W. enjoyed the Larb, which looked incredibly fresh and tasty, she said it is one of her faves at My Chit Chat. C.H. (her first time here too) chose the Spanish omelet. She said it was quite tasty, and like me, she cleaned her plate. This Mom and Pop café is a pleasant surprise in a boring strip mall. There is a small sitting area with a few comfy chairs and sofa as well as traditional table and chair seating. Once the weather is nicer there will be outdoor seating and BBQ! The chef has worked in some of Portland's favorite go to Thai restaurants so you know she really cares about what goes on the plates. The ladies room was quite clean and nicely decorated as well. Next time I go I plan on trying the Ginger Chicken!

a weird little place that has not found it's niche. Worlds best clam chowder advertised with bubble tea and Pad Thai and bakery It just didn't work for me. I was no pleased with the pad thai, the another stir fry that we tried that had obviously frozen veggies and ground beef. Please elevate these standards! Except for a different time when I had garlic shrimp asparagus (which was actually pretty good) and a homemade cream horn. I'm just not sure if the food will be great or pretty awful It's cutely decorated and they offer home delivery. I'll most likely not come back based on some un-delish foods ordered. This is too bad, Milwaukie needs more good bistros.

We stopped here to try another Thai place in the area. I had higher expectations after reading the reviews than what we experienced. We shared Tom Yum noodle soup and it seemed like there wasn't enough "soup" - lots of noodles but not enough of the broth. I had the ginger chicken and it also seemed too dry. My daughter had the tofu pad thai wrapped in egg and my wife had the chicken version. They both felt that the food was ok but nothing special. The desserts were something that we felt were pretty good - my wife had lemon cheese cake with raspberry sauce and our daughter had mango pudding. They both thought those were very tasty. I'll come back to try some of their other dishes - it seems like we were either there on an off night or just didn't order from their strong suits. I was hoping for a lot better experience after reading the reviews and that may also be part of the disappointment.

My first praise is that they delivered to my home, which is in a delivery deadzone. We have ordered a couple of times and will definitely be back. I'd like to get in to do breakfast actually. I find their chicken to be super juicy, not like I've gotten at most Thai places. Because of this, I am eager to try the garlic chicken. Aside from that, my fiance really liked the Tom Yum (with chicken). I thought the burger was pretty ok too. It definitely satisfied my desire for a sandwich.

Wow! This is the first time we tried this place, and we are AMAZED. I had my husband go in there since I'm too lazy to walk in, so I didn't see the interior, but my hubby said the place was CUTE. The price are very affordable. The food was AMAZING. It's a fusion of American and Thai food. They even said that they deliver, woohooo! Big servings for affordable price, and delicious food. I ordered the SPICY BEEF which is a lot and tasty. Creme Brulee was OMG it's so delish! My hubby had the CURRY BURGER and he said it's a dream come true, haha! A must try!

I was searching for a convenient spot to meet a friend for coffee and found this hidden gem. Though in a strip mall, they have done their best to make this a cute and comfortable place for coffee, food, and conversation. The food appears to be a mix of authentic Thai cuisine and some American standards. The service was spot on and the prices were great. I can't wait to come back and actually try some of their food. My only problem is what to try first...the pork larb, the red curry, the ginger chicken...oh my! 3/22/14 Update: I couldn't help myself. I had to go back. I met up with another pal for breakfast and though they do offer traditional menu items, I went with the Rice Soup : Thai-style breakfast packed with traditional Thai flavors; seasoned ground pork; grape tomatoes; green onions and topped with cilantro and fried garlic. It was delicious! One of the other diners asked if she could take a look and I think she was sorry she ordered french toast or something.

You would never know by driving by it, but this little joint is like walking into Grandma's kitchen for a quiet and quaint meal. The owners are so friendly, personable and talkative. The food is fresh. The establishment is clean and super cute. Very homey and far from the loud and busy food chain restaurants! They have a little bit of everything from Thai food to American favorites. Great for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Today we were each even treated to a Christmas gift drawing where we received a box of mint chocolates and a $25.00 gift card to come back for more good food! Aaaand they deliver! You don't come by places like this very often!

Didn't stay to eat but the decor was cute and the clam chowder was amazing... My husband and I will definitely be going back for more and to try their other foods. For sure we will be recommending it to others!

This is a well-run joint. The owners are incredibly nice. They fixed up the patio so we could eat outside with our dog and brought him water. Excellent bubble tea and food, the peanut sauce is amazing!

The husband and wife are so charming and sweet. My and boyfriend and I decided to go here since we were craving for creme brulé. First bite was to die for and we were in heaven. We also got some thai tea and that was amazing as well. We will soon be back for some real food and more creme brulé.

For a tiny cafe in the bare foodie streets of McLoughlin, you'd never think that this adorable place would serve such large portions. Yet the food comes out fresh and delicious. Expect a menu of burgers, thai dishes (not pad thai sadly :( ), and other asian inspired dishes. Not to mention the mom and pop owners were great with their friendly customer service. Definitely coming back here again.

My family was jonesing for dessert (specifically creme brulee) which is hard to find on this side of town without going to a high end restaurant (which were all booked up this being Valentine's Day and all). While perusing Yelp for possibilities, my wife happened to mention My Chit Chat Cafe which I have driven by several times. The place is in a VERY nondescript strip mall on 99E but looking at their website, I was intrigued by their interesting menu which is a blend of traditional American favorites (like Burgers and Clam chowder) and some Thai cuisine (salad rolls, red curry, etc.) Since we had already eaten dinner, we all agreed to just stop in for creme brulee' and maybe some other desserts. However, after reading about the "Best Clam Chowder" I decided I had to try it. I was also going to try a Tiramisu Roll, but they were out (along with pretty much all the other roll cakes (?). I won't bore you any more. Here's the skinny: Clam Chowder - outstanding. My wife and kids stole most of it from me. Creme Brulee - Very Good. Nothing SUPER exceptional, but it was tasty and creme brulee is a pretty simple dish. Blueberry Cobbler - Good, although more cake-like than I am used to for a cobbler. Giant cookies - Very Good Yummy. :) The couple next to us was enjoying their meal (a chicken pesto pasta) and I wish we had not eaten dinner already because it looked good. All-in-all, we all agreed that it was a good experience and we'll be back to sample more from their main menu. I was wavering between giving this place 4 stars and 5, but given the quality of the food, I am going to give a tentative 5 stars. Hopefully, when I try some main entree's, I'll be able to keep it at 5 stars. :)

Amazing customer service! We recently ran into an issue with this restaurant's biscuits and gravy. The owner was happy to provide us with a fully compensated lunch, as well as a refund! Wow! You rarely find that kind of courtesy these days! So, thank you, owner of My Chit Chat Cafe! We look forward to doing more business with you in the future. :]

Sign says they are open 10- 8. I pulled into the parking lot with friends at 11:52 am today only to find a sign in the window that says "we will be back at 12:30". What a shame I've been wanting to try this place too. But I'm not going to play a guessing game as to when they are really open for lunch on a Saturday. You can bet the competition was open.
