The food was great service was Great. We had to pick between this one and the one down the road we chose this one. was really good we got the Nueve fiesta. It was good and on point I deathly recommended chips and salsa were okay but the rest appointment up for it was quick to recommend this
Great service and good food. Stopped off in a totally random little town and grabbed dinner. What a lucky find. Highly recommend the chile relleno and the fajita burritos. Might stop back in on our way back home.
After driving all day, we were hungry. We walked in and were pleasantly surprised by the new, clean, tidy appearance. We were greeted friendly with chips and salsa and our drinks, so far so good. The chimichangas could use more cheese inside, but we're perfect portions and were delicious. My husbands tacos were big and equally yummy. Our server was excellent and refilled the chips and our drinks several times. Our only complaint was it was a bit warm inside because the air conditioner is placed inside a booth table. When a customer wants to sit at that booth, they shut the air conditioner off for them. Kinda weird to put it there, but I'm sure they are working on it. Overall a great place if you're in the area.

This old-fashioned, fun 'n' friendly drive-in with a drive-through is hard to miss when you're rolling through Merrill thanks to the best neon signage in the entire Klamath Basin. That's the first thing that caught my eye about it, but on closer inspection, the murals inside and out are even more fascinating, especially the cartoonish painting of a polar bear enthusiastically cranking an antique ice cream making machine under the excited observation of a boy and a girl, each licking their lips as they eat their own bowls of ice cream. The burgers are very good...some of the best in the area and certainly recommendable, but not distinctive enough to be legendary beyond the basin. What does go the extra mile is the chocolate chip milkshake. You could say it's a misnomer because it doesn't contain chocolate chips as an ingredient, but you might believe it did. I think they squirt generous amounts of that "hard hat" chocolate sauce, and then the shake-maker swooshes it around within vanilla ice cream just as it's beginning to harden. Invariably, some amount of it sticks to the side of the cup, and it makes you feel like a kid again when you chisel it off with your spoon or straw to enjoy the last few bites of chocolate flavor.
walking in the place was packed, but I soon realized it was the family and a few locals just sitting at the tables. prices were pretty high, but after driving from Reno I was not about to run all around town looking for food sadly. Nothing tasted that amazing, all deep frozen from a chest freezer and it showed in the food. Atleast the young girl working was nice.
A good, solid standby. Their burgers are pretty tasty but their shakes are where it's at. Combine shake flavors (peanut butter & banana for example), that's my advice.

On the way home from Lava Beds, we needed real food. The closest and open on Memorial day was this place just across the border of California. Actually I was surprised there was a good Mexican place in Oregon. I ordered toungue burrito. It was tasty and cheap, $6.75. Also the service was nice was the waiting time was very short, altough they couldn't read my name.....too hard and they couldn't even try.
Let me start by saying that my husband and everybody in his extended family loves this place. We went there the other day after going to the Lava Beds and it was my first experience...I was a bit disappointed. The woman at the register was nice. Between my husband and I, we ordered an asada taco, asada enchilada, large beans & rice, a pollo burrito, and two sodas - total came to $16. I ordered the taco with only meat & cheese because I don't like onions, cilantro, etc...I also ordered the enchilada and she was thoughtful enough to ask if I knew that there was onions & sour cream on it - I didn't, so I was very pleased that she pointed it out & ordered it without those toppings. The first time the taco came out, it had a bunch of onions in it. She replaced it with a taco with cabbage and cilantro? I didn't bother to say anything the second time - just dumped the toppings and added the meat back in after taking all the cilantro off. We didn't get a large beans & rice - they were just served as a side on my plate with the taco and enchilada. I'm not really sure if we were charged for the large or not? Also didn't bother with that. After fixing my taco, I did like it. I thought the beans were really good, but didn't care for the rice. The enchilada was yummy. My husband loved his food, as always. His family was satisfied with their meals, too, although there was a little mix-up with his mom's plate, as well. She ordered a large rice, but instead got beans and rice. There was a bit of a cleanliness problem (I'm just going to say we saw an unwanted critter at our table) and I'm not sure what they're going to do about it. It was so bad that after it was noticed, his aunt didn't eat her food. She pointed it out to the waitress as we were leaving, so hopefully it will not be a problem for future guests. I will say that I've heard it's better when Sylvia is there, who I think is the owner. She wasn't there when I went, so I'm not entirely sure of the difference.
One of the best Mexican restaurants I've eaten at. The chile relleno was one if the best I've ever had and every time I come back, I get something different and it has yet to disappoint. If you are a carnivore, try the lengua.

The only large restaurant in a small town, Pappy Gander & Co. caters to local residents, hunters, birders and those tourists or bikers who find there way to this border town a few miles from California. I have eaten here for breakfast or lunch at least a half dozen times over the past decade and the food is always better than average. After several hours of birding or hunting the nearby Klamath Wildlife Refuge complex, surrounding ranches and potato or hay farms on a freezing day with ice covering major portions of the ponds, this is the closest place to warm up with a good meal.
Staying near lava beds. We were hungry. We came, we ate we left happy!!! Club sandwich was amazing, just like our waitress said :) being from L. A. This is definitely different for us. I love finding different but delicious places like these.
Stopped in here on our way to burning man. My omelette and home fries were great.
