My husband is Jewish so we were eager to try this new spot for lunch seeing as how the cuisine is essentially Mediterranean, which is what Israelis also eat; needless to say, my hubby is particular about this cuisine! We finally got to try it today for lunch. We both ordered falafel sandwiches. It took about 15 minutes to prepare because they make the falafel fresh, and it was SO worth the wait. Delicious falafel and the tahini sauce was fantastic. All plates come with Israeli salad (diced cukes, tomato, and onion with salt and pepper and olive oil) and Qzeen's was quite good, very well seasoned. The plate also came with hummus seasoned properly with paprika and olive oil. The pita bread was a tad too thick, but it was still really good and fresh. It was better than any other pita I have had in a restaurant in Oregon, that's for sure. I cleaned my plate and thoroughly enjoyed it all and told my husband I would come back any time to eat this food. This place is cheap- it's a deli mainly, not much of a restaurant although there are tables and chairs and a menu. Don't go expecting anything fancy. There is literally nothing on the white walls... they hopefully will warm the place up with some decor? That's the main downside. Other than that, this place was excellent and reasonably priced. Sure, you COULD go to Blue on Granite in Ashland and pay $20 for a mediocre, greasy falafel and pita, or you could take a chance on something authentic in the valley and check this place out. If you enjoy Medi food, then this place is worth your while as a different kind of lunch one might normally get in these parts. Oh, and this food is healthy-- can't forget that part! :)

I'm SO glad to see more ethnic food in town. Went in on a limelight deal and it was very good! Went back the next day for lunch. My wife and I had the Shawarma. It is delicious!! It seems many of the Mediterranean cultures have this and they are all a bit different. The Armenian version has a delightful taste and the sauce is the bomb! We will be back. I suggest you give them a try too!

We went to this place out of curiosity. WOW We're middle-eastern food crazed freaks - and we love to cook various dishes from that region - but this food is great. The thing to keep in mind is that Armenian food is unique and some of it is prepared differently than other middle-eastern food dishes. For instance, their felafel comes with salad shirazi and hummus so the flavors are different than other versions but it's very good. Their dolmas (stuffed grape leaves) and dolma special are my favorite. Their Qzeen special sauce is delicious. It's a white sauce with light spices in the background. The Armenian coffee (like Turkish coffee) gave me a RUSH, made my hair stand up on my head, helped me to clean my house, paint my house, dig a well and rob my next-door neighbor for the $1.70 so I could go get another fix o_o. Here's a list of some of the foods that I copied from their Facebook page: Dolma, Tabuleh, Olovia, Falafel, Shirazi Salad, Hummus, and Armenian Coffee. Also, Martedella, Panini, and Broiled Pork Ribs in Qzeen Special Sauce! Below are links to the Mail Tribune's review on Qzeen, and their Facebook page. Their Armenian coffee is just like my grandmothers. Glad Qzeen has opened in Medford.

I seriously wish I could give this place a 6+ star review because 5 just isn't enough. I had the falafel sandwich. Which was amazing! It was completely perfect, and I wish I had room for two! There were several things on the menu I can't wait to come back for. The customer service was amazing, sweet man who you could really tell liked having his food enjoyed. The food is very fresh and of great quality! My fiancé was a little weary of trying a new place, but after trying a roast beef sandwich and a bite of my falafel he agrees that we will be coming back to try more! The owner also let us try some pork off the rib he was making, also very very good and he will be adding it to his menu (for how long though I am unsure) come and support this diamond in a rough of amazing local food and customer service, you will not leave dissatisfied.

Just to let folks know, we have Armenian in Medford now. In the Cobblestone village. Very, very clean. Very friendly, very enthusiastic, family run. They make everything there: Shawarma, felafel, pastry, roast beef, Olovia. We tried several samples and the Beroak cake which was very tasty. Lovely people, lovely restaurant. I hope they succeed. Check them out! In response to the poster who felt it was weird and empty, I'd like to point out that they seem quite new. And I think they are geared to take out. They only have two tiny tables in a small space. They didn't have much in the "case" but the roast beef was homeroasted. They had mortadella, prosciutto (unsliced) and provolone and other meats that they use to make very large sandwiches. They had homemade tabbouleh, hummus, dolmas and a dish I don't know of called chicken olovia? (it sounded good, they said it was marinated chicken) Everything is homemade and very fresh. The pastries are homemade.Their menu is very small right now with a few cold sandwiches, some shwarma and felafel for hot foods. They also sell breakfast and coffee and Armenian coffee and have "happy hour" on Tuesdays from 11.00 to 3.00 where you can have a little free coffee and try samples.. I think they are still figuring it out. Prices run $2.00 to $6.00. I think it helps to know some middle eastern foods, but it's a good place to get a sandwich. There's a mention in the Mail Tribune with a picture of the sandwich. mailtribune.com/apps/pbc…

Really good Armenian (Middle Eastern) food. They are inventive with their dishes, such as Dolmades. Instead of stuffed grape leaves they had stuffed eggplant and cabbage. Their tabbouleh tasted really great, but I really love the traditional Lebanese style. This was a little more white with Bulgar than green, and they added Feta. It tasted wonderful, however. The baklava was excellent. They also serve Turkish coffee but I hadn't noticed it until I left. Will Qzeen survive? It has a couple of problems. It's off the main drag, and it took me a few minutes just to find it. Also, I don''t think most people in Medford have any idea what Armenian food is. They still have some fine tuning to do with their dishes and selection, but on the other hand, they make great food and are very accommodating. You have that feeling that you are a very welcome guest and they wish they could just give you their food for free. To Savannah, who walked in and had the weirdest experience of her life by walking in with no one greeting her and she didn't see the menu (they are by the cash register) and a nearly empty deli case, I have to say you must not get out much. That doesn't qualify as weird, but giving a terrible review when you didn't even speak to them or have any food definitely qualifies as very weird. Not everything has to look like McDonald's or Applebee's to be worthwhile.

Great food. Took my son there for lunch today.. he's 1/4 Armenian and loves the Armenian deli in Southern California where he lives. He was super excited to hear that an Armenian deli had opened up here when he came to visit. We shared a falafel and tabouleh, both were excellent. Friendly owner/staff. The place is small, and off the beaten path, but I hope it can survive, there's nothing else like it in the area and the homemade, authentic dishes are a true treat and welcome addition to the Rogue Valley!
