Good, basic diner food. Big portions and friendly service make this place a local favorite.

My wife and I enjoyed a great breakfast meal here this morning. I had a chicken fried steak that appeared to be hand dipped fresh and not frozen. I really enjoyed it. My wife had an equally great meal. The service staff was very attentive and helpful to our needs. The prices I felt were very reasonable and the establishment was very clean. Highly recommend this place.

Don't order the fish and chips. They are fish sticks and they don't have malt vinegar . The frys are hard. The service was slow

When I moved in the neighborhood I ate breakfast here every day. I highly recomend the biscuits and gravy. He has the best sausage gravy in town. They have friendly staff. They make sure your coffee and hot chocolate are constantly topped off, and the prices are even better. A must if you're visiting McMinnville or just passing through early in the morning. Breakfast is 7-10 and tables are almost always full so get there quick and enjoy a wonderful breakfast experience.

Breakfast was average. Lunch was horrible. Mashed potatoes were cold; green beans seemed like they were from a can; chicken fingers were overcooked to the crispy/hard point. Three tables were seated after us and served before we were. Was beginning to wonder what was going on. If the food had been remotely decent for that wait, it would have been forgivable.

Tommy's is a classic greasy spoon, open Mon-Sat for breakfast. The staff is awesome, delivering amazing grub quickly with a smile. This is a piece of Americana not to be missed.

The prices are great, food good. Love the breakfast. Burger and fries are good. For the price you can't do better in town. Been going there for 20 years, owners real friendly and so is the staff. Only con is it should be in a bigger place.

This place is probably the polar opposite of Wildwood Cafe- but in a good way. Guns and antlers, Mac High jerseys and old newspaper stories about local sports "celebrities". Definitely an experience. The food is extremely cheap and basic, nothing too fancy. If you order the hash browns with cheese, make sure you order about 1/4 of the cheese. Seriously. For the regular order the cheese to hash brown ratio is probably even. The reason I really wanted to write a review for this place is for their homemade cinnamon rolls. Probably the best pastry I have ever had. Breakfast is only served till 10 so you have to be an early riser!

Had to met a customer and decided to meet here per his request. The wait staff was very friendly and fast. The menu was straight and too the point diner breakfast food. The place was packed so they must be doing something right. Ordered the #5 and my customer order the #5 1/2. Portions were large and the prices were cheap!!!

If it is open, this IS where we go for breakfast. Period. Go there once, and you will understand why. I love the decor, I love the portions, I love the food. Good old school American type breakfast place. VERY reasonable. The only thing is that I wish they were open for breakfast just a couple hours longer. I realize they cater to the crack of dawn types, but, the reality is that does not have to be their only breakfast customer. There are plenty of people who roll out of bed at 10AM and might not get there until 11 or even noon, but still want breakfast. That being said, you go there on a Saturday morning at 9 or 10AM it might take a few minutes to get a table as they are ALL full. I don't think they are wanting for customers and if the owner (the cook) wants to be out of there earlier, more power to him. I will just have to drag my lazy ass out of bed.

On my way to a morning appointment, the town just waking up in the damp cool air. Stopped in to this place, quaint and homey, full of regulars including some older gentlemen who must come in here everyday complaining about their kids and what not. Was served a "Kids Size" special, which wasn't for kids necessarily, but was a smaller order of breakfast items. Consisted of two fluffy hotcakes, served with warm maple syrup, two eggs (scrambled, a little runny and cooked to perfection), three strips of bacon. The only complaint was the bacon, which was soggy and therefore a little greasy. I say Tommy's should tack on another 10 cents or so to their already low prices for this ($5) and other specials and they should be able to drive on over to Trader Joe's and grab some of the Nimann Ranch applewood bacon. All of this was washed down with a cold glass of milk. I was energized for the day after this, and boy do I like the absence of a sales tax in OR.

Very personable, friendly, and down to earth. Affordable prices, large portions, and the owner, Tommy, is always there to say hi and welcome you. If you're looking for a great place to start your day and feel like you belong, this is it.
