I can't speak to the quality of the food, but the service is primo, the ice cream was fairly priced and delicious, and the decor is...well...for the tourists like us :-) Very fun! The young lady serving ice cream is simply a breath of fresh air. Nice to see a sense of pride and service in someone fresh out of college. Give'em a try at least for a beer at the outdoor bar and the ice cream. I bet the food is pretty good too.

We were told we HAD to eat here by some locals in Baker City. We are so glad we listened! It was too late in the evening to eat anything heavy, so we both had salads. They were large, fresh and super yummy. The honey mustard chicken salad was great and the chicken was phenomenal. The owners are super nice and the fellow patrons treated us like we were regulars. Ever one here is polite and welcome you with a smile.

We had a dinner at the Outlaw based on the recommendation of the motel we were staying at. The food and service was excellent and we had a great time. Having been traveling for 7 days we'd had a few bad dining experiences and the Outlaw was a real highlight of our trip, so much we came back a second night to try it again. The food and staff did not disappoint. We will definitely visit the Outlaw again next time we are in Joseph.

Good sandwich and salad for lunch in restaurant with nice decor, and is clean and well maintained. There are several different dining areas. The service was good too.

Went there for lunch while visiting Lake Wallowa. A nice casual place to eat. Plenty of outdoor seating which was nice for beinging our beagle. Great service, very quick. I ordered the baked potato loaded with steak and cheese. It was delicious comfort food! I'd definitely order it again. My wife got the nachos which were like ballpark nachos, processed cheese with beans and tomatos. She enjoyed it. Moderately priced. Great place to eat if your looking for friendly service and good comfort food.

My gf and I went here to get ice cream at 4:30pm on a Thursday and when I asked if we could get ice cream, a server told me "Well we're really busy and there is only two of us, so probably not." Although I don't know what was going on behind the scenes, there were only 4 tables there... I would have been happy to wait but I didn't get the opportunity. I won't be back for food or ice cream in case they are "too busy" again.

Excellent service on a chilly afternoon! Scott gave us great advice about the area and the turkey club was perfect. This was our second time here and it just keeps getting better!

Initially, we stopped in for a late lunch/early dinner, but we returned the following day because we enjoyed every bite. We visited in mid-April, before the tourist season begins in earnest, so the restaurant wasn't crowded and there was time to talk to the owners. I'm assured that after Memorial Day, the restaurant gets very busy. As we know, timing is everything. I enjoyed the food and the conversation, and I look forward to my next visit to Joseph. The Outlaw will certainly be at the top of my list for dining.

My husband and I both ordered the rib eye, which they kindly made before 5pm for us. The service was fast and excellent. They gave us an enormous quantity of food, which was very good. The steak was a little salty, and the potatoes were just fine, but overall it was very good. Can't beat the really excellent service and it's a great price as well.

Joseph is a tourist town. Bronze statues, spectacular mountains, cute layout. Outlaw is in the middle of it, with appealing exterior and the anticipation of a good ol' steak house. Not cheap, not expensive either. I went for soup of the day--bean with bacon. I was shocked--it had the shape, taste and complexion of Campbell's bean with bacon soup. Honestly--no bacon bits, perfectly small white beans and the usual broth. I then had halibut--not fried, but broiled. Oh my goodness, a slime factor that made me wish I had tried the fried. Kinda raw inside, you know what I mean? My wife had a small steak that she loved. Maybe I should have stayed with Yahoo--buckaroo instead of the halibut. Too many other venues for me to try for a better rating. Sorry, Outlaw. All flash and no substance.

Delicious burger, French Dip, & Tri-Tip in our party. Nice decor, if somewhat dated chairs & table. Cool collection of old sleds & toboggans on the walls. Understaffed, so our service was very slow, but our (the only) waitress was very friendly & helpful. Highly recommended, especially when properly staffed. :)

My wife and I both had the rib eye steak. It was very well seasoned and cooked to order. Mushrooms included if you want them (wife-yes, me-no). Served with your choice of potatoes and a side salad (fresh produce). Our 3 year old ordered from the kids menu. Friendly, attentive staff.

My wife and I ate here twice this week and both times food and service were par. Everything we ordered tasted fresh and home-made. We would definitely dine here again on a future trip.
