Coco's has a lot of potential. First off, the place is super adorable and the outdoor seating is very comfortable. We had good, friendly service and the food was out fast. I got the pulled pork salad, which was huge and great. My husband got the peanut shrimp tacos, which he says we're very very good. My only qualm is the prices--they are high. It was $13 for each of our entrees, and my husband had two tacos. Just two tacos. Nothing on the side or anything. Them are some expensive tacos! It was fine for lunch, but for dinner it would definitely have been disappointing. Also, it's a mix of Thai and Hawaiian food, for those like us who had no idea!

Delicious fusion food, great drinks & atmosphere, but super unpredictable hours! Took me several lunch & dinner attempts before we caught them open in high tourist season, but it's been open more now that it's off-season?¿?

My wife and I went there for dinner while visiting Lake Wallowa. We were searching for a more "fine dining" experience in the area and was very pleased with this place. First of all, the ambiance was gorgeous. Very nice and spacious outside seating with views of the mountains. The walk up bar is a nice touch. Service is excellent! Misty was very attentive. They forgot to bring me my salad with my meal but Misty offered to bring it to me with my meal. Instead I substituted the salad for the delicious garlic knots, she was even nice enough to take it off of our bill. My steak was cooked to perfection, very tender. My wife got the alfredo and loved it. The lemon zest sauce was unique. Overall a great dinner, we will be going back. Although it may be pricey for the area, it is definitely worth it!

We went here midweek. The place was about 60% full. When we were seated it took 20 minutes to even get a drink order. The place was terribly understaffed. No way one guy (which I imagine was the owner) can be a waiter and do the bar tending. The group next to us just walked out after no service. When we did get the food it was bland. The drinks were made with cheap liqueur. Yes I can tell. I had the beef medallions. The beef was tasteless, white rice and Zucchini with Parmesan melted on top.Non wood fired oven *edit* does not add any spice/flavor guys.... I wanted to like this place and support non chain restaurants. Hire more waiters and step up the quality of the drinks and food. Our party would have easily paid for that extra hire in drinks alone. We come to Wallowa a lot. Make it better and I will return and be happy to adjust my rating. We just had a bad experience this time. *Reply from comment below* From a "inexperienced" food critic that is too stupid to understand food and and service....... l guess I will have to be a psychic when I order drinks or expect low quality........ Unless I upgrade everything. Just tell everyone upfront that it will take forever to get low quality drinks and under seasoned food. I have gave many 5 star reviews and rarely give 1 star. It has to be terrible for me to give a 1 star. My wife got sick after eating the shrimp. I didn't even mention that because I can't justify writing something I'm not sure of. I always question those reviews. But since you have SO many excuses why the experience stunk. I'm sure readers will form their own conclusion from other reviewers that gave the same pattern of reviews. Yes I will "stay off your property" as you noted in your message that wasn't published. (classy I might add). Can't help to believe it will be around long. I will only will go to decent restaurants in town that are staffed for some odd reason. I went here in early July NOT "Chief Joseph Days". I also must apologize about mistaking that you had a wood fired oven. Didn't realize it was fake one. I edited it above.

This is the best food in Joseph. The service is great. Highly recommend beef medallions and shrimp, cooked to perfection and loaded with flavor. Would like to see more veggies and less rice in dishes, especially for the price.

We were encouraged by the menu and smells from the kitchen and decided to dine here during our stay in Joseph. Our server seated us outside and said she would be back to check on us in a few minutes. Over 15 minutes later she hadn't returned, so we left. Disappointing.

Great outside seating! Try the filet mignon kabobs!!! Tender, juicy, and so tasty! I highly recommend this place if you are in Joseph!!! Full bar, and a good margarita selection!!!
