Loved our lunch here. Beautiful presentation. Food fresh and flavorful. Excellent service and attention. We dined outside on the front porch. I had chicken curry salad on greens. Delicious! Dining partner had the special which was thin sliced prime rib with carmelized onion and melted cheese on a french roll. Also delicious. The sides were good. I had some lovely fresh berries and melon. The sandwich was accompanied with homemade potato salad. Good salad but the portion was very small. Looking forward to dining there again.

Decided to have breakfast here while on vacation. I had the bacon, cheddar frittata. And a chai. My boyfriend has biscuits and gravy. Both were decent. Lacked flavor a little. The homemade biscuit was really good! My chai tasted like milk. It was not the best food I've ever had! Portions were large though. I probably would find another place to try before I went back.

My friend and I both loved our meals. She had the curry chicken sandwich with potato salad. Everything was fresh and homemade. I had the salmon filet that was perfectly baked with lemon slices. It was served with a crisp green salad with a wonderful housemade Bleu cheese dressing.

Best curry chicken ever!!! I give it 5 stars! The kids menus though could be better, that is my only complaint. Love the feel of this place and the staff is great.

Fabulous, Charming restaurant with beautiful dishes. Last night I ordered the Salmon Fillet with Salad. Apple Strudel with ice-cream for dessert and a glass of wine. This Pink house in Independence is bigger inside and outside than it appears at first blush. A great Date Night place. Elegant and charming. The Cinema is directly across the street. Highly Recommend this lovely Restaurant! It's been open about 6 yrs.

When I lived in Monmouth, Pink House was always a great choice. Adorable place, sweet people, and consistently tasty ribs, burgers, and desserts. I only wish they mixed up the menu a bit more with the seasons to give me a reason to visit more often.

Joined friends here for our monthly lunch gathering. As it was a beautiful late morning we opted to sit in the outside dining area. The seating was quite comfortable and all tables were umbrellaed (new word) so it was not unbearably hot. Depending on where you sat at the table, though, the view was not that desirable. (There is a large, abandoned, partially constructed building on one side and a gravel driveway and neighbor's side yard as possible vies). It was a Saturday and we were at that awkward time between breakfast and lunch so they gave us both menus...that is they don't really have a lunch menu rather breakfast and dinner, but the dinner menu had a number of sandwiches, a couple of burgers, a good selection of salads and a few pasta based entrees. Three of us opted for lunch and one for breakfast. Everything looked amazing. Two people had the spinach and artichoke parmesan pasta, the breakfast was a crab meat scramble and I had the chicken paprikash. I will say that my entree was very good, but it wasn't really paprikas (at least not like any I have ever had.) First it was served over a bed of cheese tortellini, and it had none of the customary Hungarian spices. It did, however, remind me a lot of a dish my mom when I was growing up so they get bonus points for raising the nostalgia level. The blue cheese on the salad was also very good. While I didn't try any of the other dishes, they were all received with positive reviews by those who were enjoying them, and the crab scramble looked to be a packed with real dungeness crab meat. The portion sizes were good and the waitstaff were very friendly. I would like to go back again to try one of the breakfast dishes.

Tasha D. was right about the frittata being a little bland but altogether the service was excellent, the toast had just the right butter, and my hot chocolate you could tell was chocolate and it was really hot.

Lovely wait staff, great coffee from Stumptown. Locally sourced and huge portions. The breakfast croissant sandwich we had was so good, with a plate of fresh fruit that was a lovely surprise. We'll definitely be back!

We love the Pink House! Great service, really good food, nice location, etc. We love to sit outside under the umbrellas and trees. Good place to go with my gluten-free co-workers, as there are options for them. Clean kitchen, clean bathrooms... what else can I say? Have eaten my way through most of the menu and have yet to be disappointed.

I really love the homelike atmosphere! I enjoy eating (usually a burger with salad) here every once in a while. Great service and friendly staff! I usually sit and chat with them (too bad i easily forget names!) but yeah, if you have a chance, i'd recommend it!

Paul let us start a bit before he opened. We just had coffee, hot chocolate, and a couple of scones, but they were fabulous. We will be back.

Every time I eat here the food gets better and better! Delicious salads, entrees, and desserts! This is a perfect little place for two to have dinner. I recently had their ribs and yum is all I can say! Delicious mashed potatoes to boot! I really believe for a nice sit down dinner spot this one is reasonably priced and the pink house is just too adorable! One of my favorites :)

Delicious fresh food served quickly in a historic 19th century house turned restaurant. Highly recommended. You will enjoy it. Not too expensive considering everything is fresh and made in house. Plus it is rumored to be home to a child's ghost who loves tea parties. What more could you ask for?

Eaten here a couple times now since moving to Independence in November after checking reviews out here on Yelp. Sampled from both their dinner and breakfast menus. Service has been very friendly and fast. Love the atmosphere too, of course! An old historic house converted into a cafe! Class Oregon. They use local ingredients in their meals and what we've had so far has been quite tasty! We look forward to a long and yummy relationship with Pink House!

We met friends at The Pink House Cafe this last weekend and had great food & service. Will definitely return. Save room for the dessert menu items. We shared a cobbler & bread pudding. Yummy!

My wife and I love going to pink house for both breakfast and dinner. They serve Mt. Angel sausages, which are amazing. I also love their milkshakes, which are made the old fashioned way and may be the best I have ever had. Prices are very reasonable for the amount of food and the owners and employees are all super friendly.

Good food, homelike atmosphere, and fun place to take yourself and loves ones to have breakfast, lunch or dinner. The waitress was pleasant and helpful. Will check them out again the next time I am in Independence,OR

Very expensive meals for such distasteful food. Limited menu and the food isn't that great. It's a fun idea though.

Stopped here while I was in town on business. This is a great breakfast spot, and I was surprised to find the best strudel I've ever had. It had a creamy, fruity filling, served warm. Absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this place to anyone that is in the area!

We visited the Pink House Cafe this evening with friends and are so excited about this new find. Our service was lovely and attentive. A very casual environment yet I felt like we were being pampered in a private home. The food was very good and portions are generous . I plan to eventually try everything on the menu! Thank goodness we live in close by in North Albany. My husband and I plan to share this gem with our friends. Well worth the visit to Independence to savor the history of this 1870 historic home that has been so lovingly restored.

Love this little place! We like the drive over the Willamette to get to The Pink House and enjoy a great cup of coffee when you get there. Very relaxing place, an old house where you can dream of better days. Both my wife and I always seem to order the Mt. Angel Sausage breakfast and just can't seem to break the habit. They also have gluten free toast which is pretty good (for gluten free). Service is friendly. We have only been there for breakfast but it's always a treat.

Stopped by for lunch. We mostly had sandwiches. The Pink House may not have a fryer as there were no French fries etc. Choices were potato salad or green salad. My Rueben sandwich was usual, not bad, not exceptional, but good-ok. The crust was a tad on the hard side, my potato salad was also 'usual'. The clam chowder apparently was good and the turkey sandwich "ok". The service was good, the house is clean and the pink house dining rooms were to be expected, small sized and filled with tables. Three stars because after all was said and done, we probably will not be back for lunch. An average, down the middle of the road lunch restaurant. It did look like a cozy place to meet friends and have coffee.

My wife and I just had breakfast here and enjoyed it thoroughly. We are very happy to have discovered this cute lil cafe. The historic building is beautiful. The service and food was great. We will definitely be coming back.

Feels like family at The Pink Cafe, since 2009. Thanks for the warmest greetings! Great place to sit for a while and enjoy your coffee and even some of the other guests. "It's always so good to see you", and we always hate to leave. Thanks!

The service is friendly, and at times a little slow. However, Independence is a small town, so what's your hurry? Breakfast is amazing, the food is local, and it's a great place to take guests. They do take dinner reservations, and I recommend them for larger groups because they sometimes have to push tables together. Save room for dessert, and be prepared to share!

Our new friends, Jim and Shirley took us out to dinner tonight. Three of us had salmon, one had the rack of ribs. Overall, I liked the atmosphere, the food and the service. Prices were average. We ate on the "patio" which was nice, the wind began to blow, but not a nuance. This was our first time there, we will be back to try more items on the menu!!

Incredible find in a very cute City. All the food is the very highest quality. Breakfast is my favorite. Can't wait until the hot cider appears back on the menu!

Whether you eat breakfast, lunch or dinner here, you will never be disappointed. Food is excellent, not trendy, but unique. Their BBQ ribs are out of this world. Salads great. The owner Paul is friendly and the wait staff, friendly and efficient, and not stuffy. Quiet, relaxing atmosphere.

This little place keeps getting better with each visit. My mom lives down in Monmouth, and when we go down to visit her, she always wants to take us out to eat. The Monmouth/Independence area is pretty limited when it comes to good eats, but the Pink House is at the top of our list! It's a quaint little old house that's been nicely restored, the environment is casual and homey, and the staff is very nice. The menu is a bit limited, but I'd rather have a place do a few menu items and do them very well verses have a huge menu and have it be mediocre food. The menu is nicely diversified, and the staff was very flexible when requesting minor changes or substitutions to any particular dish. Plus, the food is just flat out good... excellent soups and salads, as well as delicious main entrées. The portion size is generous, too! On top of the Pink House being a great little place to get a meal, their deserts are fantastic... namely, their out-of-this-world cream cheese swirl brownie!!! Ooooh mama!!! It is FANTASTIC!! It's big, warm, and topped with a soup of vanilla ice cream. I'm not one to get excited about desert, but this brownie cinches the Pink House Cafe's five star rating!!

The Pink House Cafe was recommended by friends in Monmouth. The four of us had lunch which we all thought was excellent. Lunch was in the side patio which was very pleasant. The next day, we went to dinner with our daughter's family and this time we ate in one of the front rooms of the old house built in 1870 and restored by the owner. Again the food and experience was excellent. The owner was very accommodating with our 5 year old grand child; he had a special menu for kids which was great. She ate so much we thought she would have a tummy ache (but it did not happen). The Pink House Cafe was a great experience during our visit to Oregon.

Only visited once for breakfast, but nothing special. Service was great, but food was a bit on the bland side.

The food here is awesome!! I love it. The update s for the service, which is hit or miss. I have been in SEVERAL times and I would say that there is one man (never actually my server, I think he may be th owner) is awesome. I have been looked at pretty snudily by some of the girls for stopping on for a cup of coffee. Also, a big big issue I had was that if I want a refill of coffee or tea they take the entire cup away to fill it from the airpot or pitcher downstairs. Seems like this could be fixed pretty easily.

We have gone here several times and always enjoyed it. Their prices are fair for what you get, the place looks like an old inn from the NE (I know as I am from Syracuse, NY), and the food looks and tastes good. They are very friendly and attentive. We go there for a treat, or when I need to eat their Chicken Greek Salad. We live in Salem, but have no problem traveling here to eat. Excellent.

I really enjoy the pink house. I have been here many times for breakfast and the food is fabulous. Sometimes the service is a little slow, but if you have the time it is well worth it.

Must be a breakfast place since they certainly aren't a dinner place. Dinner here has been unremarkable to bad. Most food is heavy or on the oily side. The ambiance is also strange with decor not quite coordinating with the space. While the service is helpful and respectful, it is also slow.

An adorable pink old house - the owner standing to greet you and guaranteeing there would be no bees on the patio (there weren't), soft breezes and very friendly staff. The menu is somewhat limited and I wasn't sure about the Korean short-ribs - but man oh man - it was delicious - and so was the Mt. Angel sausage. Haven't tried the desserts yet but I've been promised they're delicious and all cooked on premises except the cheesecake which is baked locally. Don't go there if you're in a hurry though. It's all cooked after you order it.
