I grew up in Gresham and travel back periodically to visit. If I'm not staying with friends I choose to stay here. It is by far my favorite bed and breakfast anywhere. Todd makes incredible breakfasts and caters them to the needs of his guests. The fruit compote is amazing! The rooms have nice beds and the sitting room is a wonderful bonus. We enjoyed reading and relaxing taking in the beautiful Oregon trees that surround the 108 year old home. We enjoyed our visits with the owners in the mornings and evenings. We also enjoyed our daily visits from Lily the dog, who won our hearts quickly! So much so we found a younger dog of similar temperament and color to rescue after our return. Thanks Lily for the inspiration!! Good value for the money!! Highly recommend this bed and breakfast if you are visiting the Columbia Gorge/Gresham area.

I stayed at Forest Springs Bed & Breakfast last Friday and Saturday. I had never stayed at a B & B in the US before. I decided to celebrate my 40th birthday by doing something special while I attended a Reiki Lifestyle training about a mile away from the B & B. I decided on staying at the B & B because the motels in Gresham weren't rated too well on Yelp. I wanted a 5-star experience and that is definitely what I received. Todd and Barbara are the owners of Forest Springs. I saw Todd more than Barbara. Todd made two delicious gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, citrus-free breakfasts for me that were absolutely yummy! I was surprised this place wasn't booked months in advance. I was so happy I got in just the night before I wanted to be there. I was also very happy that he could accommodate my food allergies/sensitivities. I was a little nervous having someone cook for me since I have Celiac disease and I was not cross-contaminated at all. This was such a blessing! I chose the upstairs bedroom with a private bathroom with a bathtub...and loved it. The other upstairs bedroom has a shower. I took multiple pictures. I felt completely secluded, the space was quiet, Todd was super friendly and a wonderful cook. He clearly has the gift of hospitality. The room was clean and fresh. The bed and pillows were really comfortable. For me this was the perfect trip and I would highly recommend this beautiful B & B to anyone.

Really nice owners who are quite fun and attentive. It is a gorgeous older home with just two bedrooms upstairs and a bonus sitting room with lots of windows, nice table, fridge, DVDs, wifi, and comfortable. The rooms are not filled with down bedding and lace pillows which is perfect for us. There are nice bathrooms and there is some sense of privacy since it is a larger home on a huge lot in a more rural part of Gresham. Summer is a great place to be in Portland and lots of things to do! The breakfast is really the focus and Todd is out to please! Barb has a flair for landscaping and lots of planting was happening. This property is close to Mt Hood and the views are really great of the garden. The new owners take pride in their property and are good at steering you in the right direction.

Great B&B, best place for the price and location. We would prefer to stay here over a hotel any day. Remember your ear plugs if you're a light sleeper as noise travels easily through these older homes. Under new ownership since August 2013. Very friendly owners. Will accommodate celiac, vegan, vegetarian diets for breakfast. They accept credit and debit card payments. No smoking, no pets and they do have a dog and cats in the B&B that do not have access to the upstairs bedrooms.

Pictures do not do this place justice! Beautiful forest escape so close to the big city. The house is beautiful, clean, and unique. Host is attentive and very helpful. Would stay here forever if I could.

I can easily say that Forest Springs was the best Bed-and-Breakfast I have ever stayed at. Our host, Todd, went above and beyond the call of duty to make us feel welcome, comfortable and very well fed. Our room was very nice, with a private bathroom & very comfortable. We enjoyed returning each evening, after a long and exhausting day, to relax in the sitting room, watch TV, or read one of the many books provided. They also had board games and DVDs available. Forest Springs is close to old town Gresham but yet feels very secluded. We enjoyed the architecture of the home and all the many antiques. We are already trying to figure out when we can return. Our visit lasted one week, and when we left, we truly felt as though we were leaving family.

My wife and I had a wonderful time this weekend at the Forest Springs B and B. We had two excellent breakfasts, French toast with fruit and bacon one morning and a frittata with Swiss Rossti (fancy hash browns) the next. The bed was comfortable and the shower had two shower heads. The owners were very friendly and hospitable. It was great to be out of the hustle and bustle of the city but close enough to enjoy all that Portland has to offer. We will be back!

Patrick is a fantastic chef and host. We could not wait to see what he was making each morning. The B&B is warm and comfortable. We stayed in the San Francisco room which was beautiful. The view is all forest. The room and bathroom were in very comforting colors of green and white. Patrick is a wealth of knowledge and very charming. I looked forward not only to his wonderful food but conversation with him every morning. I will never stay in a hotel in Portland if Forest Springs is available. I don't know how someone could give them less than 5*, it was an absolutely perfect 5 days. Thank you Patrick!

Going the extra mile **literally** I stayed here while I was taking the bar exam in Clackamas. I figured it would be a good place to get away from bar-induced stress (and I was right -- couldn't imagine a more relaxing set-up.) The morning of my bar exam, I thought I locked my keys in my car, which was going to make me late to the exam, and would make me automatically fail. The owners were so nice they volunteered to wake up early and drive me to Clackamas. I later found the keys so I didn't need the help, but that's just one indication of how much these innkeepers value their guests. I've stayed at a lot of B and B's (maybe 10 per year for the last four years) and this inn is among the top two! Here are just some of the other details that made this place such a joy: 1) Quiet forested location near the city 2) Fantastic food. Breakfasts start with berries and creme fresh and then progress to either custard pancakes or an omelette. The chef buys fresh produce every day at the farmer's market, and it shows! 3) Free wine (red and white) and chocolate in the afternoon. 4) Good towels (fluffy and thick) 5) Charming craftsman style house 6) Innkeepers who really care. I would be back here in a heartbeat.

Truly as good as it gets! We checked in late but there was a note on the door leading us to our beautiful room. We stayed in the San Fransisco Room. We made some tea and ate some chocolates all set out in the lovely dining room. The next morning we awoke to the smell of baked cinnamon, the best way to wake up, ever. It turned out to be cinnamon scones with coffee, berry smoothies and a fruit bowl, and that was just to start! The hot breakfast was a freshly made spinach quiche. It was all SO good! So aside from the food and accommodations we were treated to a wonderful host. Patrick is so friendly and helpful. He found us a restaurant in the small town we were heading to later that day and because we had to leave early the next morning he made our second perfect breakfast a half hour earlier than it's usually offered. There are tons of books and DVDs to browse through, the b&b is located in a cute town not very far from Portland and it is on a gorgeous, large green lot. I try to give the good and the bad to places but that's why this b&b gets a 5, there is nothing I can think of to improve...

I was in Gresham for some training. The options are pretty limited in this area. I read these wonderful reviews and thought it sounded perfect! I called and spoke to the owner and explained that my husband and son would be coming with me and he recommended a room that would work the best. Over a month in advance I made reservations. On the day we were driving to Portland we got an email from the owner canceling our reservations because another customer wanted to stay longer and he did not want us staying there with a kid because he felt we would require more. He was extremely rude and we were actually thankful in the end that we had not spent and time or money at Forest Springs Bed and Breakfast.
