Have always enjoyed coming to Deas, and have for many years, but over the last year or so it has rapidly declined. Came in today and had a simple, flavorless cheeseburger. It wasn't good and the bun was really dry and stale. The people working were unprofessional and very lazy. There were several dirty tables, the floor was filthy, napkin dispensers were empty, and it wasn't even busy. One kid was walking around picking up tips off the tables, but didn't bother to clear anything off. The place was dirty and grimy, and the food was below average. Not sure we'll be back any time soon.

Dea's has been one of my family's favorites since before I was born. But today I went through the drive thru and what i saw shocked me. I want to say first off, the person that helped me had a lovely personality but very, very big issue with hygiene. The shirt she was wearing was a cream color but around the bust and armpits it was BLACK from dirt and grime and grease. The apron was not any better. Honestly, both articles of clothing looked like they had not been washed in years. I was shocked that management or ownership has assumingly seen the employee wear this and did not immediately ask her to change or give her a clean shirt or apron. It was honestly so bad it made me question whether my food had been prepared in a sanitary manner and made me completely lose my appetite. I did not come here to bad mouth the family/company or turn anyone away from Dea's. However, I would like management to take note and make a change. Hygiene and sanitation are EXTREMELY important in the food industry. Please, please do something about what I witnessed today, I want to be able to continue to enjoy Dea's for years to come.

30 years of happy Dea's memories gone in one visit. I get it's a nice little family owned place but the last several months Dea's has really gone down hill. After not understanding 6 times repeating "with lettuce, tomato and onion" I was forced to get out of the car from the drive-thru and to go inside to order. Fine, then my order will be correct, fat chance. So I approach the counter and say "I'd like a bacon cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato and onion" I kid you not, the guy looked me dead in the face and said "what?" I had to repeat every part of my order multiple times. I made the mistake or saying vanilla Dr Pepper instead of vanilla Mr Pibb and the guy froze in his tracks and just stared at me for a minute, after correcting my mistake and asking if I wanted the alternate, I replied yes sorry, I meant vanilla Mr Pibb. The fiasco went on but my thumb is getting tired. :( I can't even talk about how they changed the buns for the worse. Careful if you use your Groupon, they'll screw it up and then act like it was your fault. And don't be surprised if there's no vanilla in your vanilla Mr Pibb. This was our last visit before moving out of state, now I have crappy memory instead of a good one.

Just another crappy place in the Portland/Gresham area, yelp reviews let us down. When I get chicken strips I like a nice crisp, even crunchy batter, this place just has the old standard frozen peppered crap chicken strips. The batter is as soft as the chicken. This place doesn't make anything fresh from what I seen from my order. The fries were limp, greasy, not fresh, frozen, tasteless piles of crap. Had to throw em out to the birds. They need to visit wing stop if they want to learn how to make fries. Where do I start with the cole slaw that came with the other order (fish n chips)...? I should have been weary that the guy said "do you want the coleslaw?" I said does it come with it? "Yes," the man replied, so I was thinking why did he just ask that? Opening it up I now understood. It looked like it was days old, it smelled like crap, had no crunch to it. I stabbed it with the fork a few times and it was such mush nothing stuck, it just further compacted it down in the container that had the nasty fate of holding that garbage in. The ranch was made in house....hahaha that's a joke! The ranch was prepackaged. It tasted like cheap crap, too. It's didn't even help out those bland fries mentioned earlier. The fish and chips were decent but nothing to write home about.

Went here with my fiance and brother in law. It has a very cafeteria feel. There really was no breakfast items and had coffee and a cheeseburger for breakfast. It was also a little pricey for what we got. The lady at the counter is what killed it for me. We ordered coffee and waited to get the rest and she seemed upset that we didnt get food.

Traditional old school American diner. I can see from other reviewers what not to order, but I can tell you that the Long burger w/cheese and their homemade potato salad is worth ordering. And I am a potato salad snob (I HATE REESERS!!!)They have been making their signature long burger since I was a child. We would go roller skating at the old wooden rink on Powell, then go across the street to the old location for Long burgers. I also had a very good steak, eggs & hash browns breakfast there. The steak was not skimpy and/or tough like most, eggs were perfectly cooked (over med.), and golden crispy hash brown potatoes just the way I like them. I hate the big pile of white, then over browned on top shreds you get from restaurants not using enough oil or butter on the grill. LOL, sorry, foodies like delicious, not healthy. Just use moderation. Now after reading, I want to try the pancakes.

A rectangular shaped hamburger with some cheese and special sauce. It's pretty darn tasty. Nothing fancy. Pretty sure the fries are frozen. You won't really find anything homemade here but that's not the point. It's quick. It's cheap. And it's good. Milkshakes. Do yourself a favor and get one. They are thick and uber delicious. Chocolate and peanut butter, yes please! Dea's also does breakfast which I have not tried but am sure would be pretty decent. They have all your quint essential fried foods....the fish and chips are pretty good as well. The staff is friendly. Typically consists of high school kids working the counter. All in all a good stop for some alright quick eats in the area.

Dea's is probably my favorite place in Gresham to get a burger. The place is old and outdated, but the food is really good. BTW In N Out lovers, get grilled onions on a long cheeseburger and you basically have an animal burger. My partner and I generally order 2 stumpys (A long cheeseburger with a better bun, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and special sauce) with grilled onions (I think it comes with raw onions, if you don't ask for grilled), 1 order of curly fries, and a pink komona (it's like orange soda with cherry syrup, or something) to split. AMAZING! A couple years ago we were craving pie after we ate there, and they happen to make their pies in house, so we ordered pecan (it was that season) a la mode. Incredible! We make sure to order it at least once a year. Their shakes are good, too. Chocolate peanut butter is my favorite. Definitely check this place out!

I gave up a long time ago trying to find a substitute for In N Out Burger when I moved up here in 1996. Some things are not able to be duplicated. I have to say that I never talked myself into this place being a clone for the fabled franchise either. However I kept hearing that this place was a good and that it had a certain charm and history. Those things are unfortunately lost on me. After a rigorous afternoon of trying to fill up the Sandy River with rocks with the Wife and The Tax Deduction we decided to bop on over to Gresham and see what this place is all about. We set the GPS to Dea's and visions of tasty burgers danced in our heads. In the case of the Tax Deduction he had a vision of a hot dog. We found the place easily enough and pulled in. It looked kind of old school and seemed like it could be a find. We walked in and studied the menu in detail and decided on two long cheeseburgers, one double and one single, fries and the aforementioned hot dog. We took a booth and let the place grow on us. After a short wait they called our number and I went up to get our meal. We unwrapped our long cheeseburgers and took our first bite and waited for the flavors and the cheese and the inevitable nod of the head of a socially acceptable burger. And waited. And waited. And chewed some more. And.... it just never came. I bite deeper into the burger and it was a lot like the first. Now hear me out, it was not a bad burger but it was nothing special. I felt the meat lacked seasoning. Some celery salt would work wonders here, anything really, garlic, season salt, mesquite seasoning. I ate the burger, it filled me up but I couldn't work up a single emotion about the experience. Now the fries were crispy and good. However we paid fifty cents for two cups of "fry sauce". Note to Dea, thick thousand island dressing is not fry sauce. Mayo, ketchup, chili powder and a touch of salt is fry sauce. I think I could walk into a Cash & Carry and point out the tub of dressing they use. Very disappointing. The employees were very nice and friendly.

I like to change my order around, mainly ordering french toast or the classic bacon and eggs. The best part about this place is they have flavored creamer for your coffee, which is something I wish that every restaurant had. They also serve lunch and dinner with their long hamburger being my favorite on the menu. Dea's is definitely a favorite place to go when it comes to breakfast.

Dea's In & Out is NOT the place to eat breakfast. It seems like the people that eat breakfast at Dea's has been going to Dea's for 25 years and will til either Dea's or they die. If you go to breakfast at Dea's your taking one of regulars tables, and it's not worth the wait for a table and they regulars don't have the time left to wait. What you can get at Dea's is an American style/Drive in Lunch. Burgers, fries and shakes. Don't expect anything special or quality ingredients. The overall the quality of Dea's is medium-low food service quality. Dea's may have been good at one point but they have been coasting along for sometime now.

This place has been around forever. The long burger is kind of famous, and although their lunches are decent for a local diner type establishment, to me, this is a breakfast place. Good prices, good food and selections, really nice staff. They also have 1/2 portions which a lot of places don't, and they are flexible with your order. My grandpa lives by this place. We come here for every father's day, every Grandpa birthday, any sunday breakfast, it's always Dea's. And why not? It's got pretty much everything a little diner should, and a few options you don't see very often. I usually get him gift cards for here on special occasions. The ham steak breakfast is awesome, good omelets, just good breakfast, they do it right. And I think the regular breakfast is like $5.50 and comes with coffee. Go Gramps!

**This review is just for the ice cream/shakes, not food.** The boyfriend and I popped in here for a sweet treat after a Mexican dinner across the street. He had known about it and had been there before, while I had not. He got a banana shake and I, a swirl cone. God bless the swirl cone for indecisive people, such as myself. Banana shake was good too. I'm not too adventurous when it comes to ice cream/shakes, so banana was pretty wild for me, but it tasted good. Like a Laffy Taffy. I would like to try their food next time and review that as well.

Growing up in East County Dea's was a constant in my life. My friends had their first jobs here. My first babysitting gig was for a neighbor who was a breakfast waitress here, and back in the day you got a coke glass to take home with every soda ordered. My mother the soda junky would break my heart when she wouldn't let me take my free glass home, as there just wasn't room in our cupboard for even one more. This summer when I was in California, eating my first In & Out burger I kept referencing Dea's. In my humble opinion the Cali In & Out has absolutely nothing on Dea's in good ole Gresham, except maybe clean sparkling white tables and servers who look crisp and smart. Dea's fries are better too. I'll break down the " long burger" for you. A long *6inches or so* buttery bun, which is toasted on the grill before being slathered with a special * mayo, catsup and relish* sauce. Then they lovingly pile on the grilled onions and cheese and Wah Lah! Delicious. After 27 years of Dea's eating my trip last week did not disappoint. Everything, down to the teal carpet is exactly the same as I remembered. The burger was tasty and grilled to order, the deep fried mushrooms sufficiently burnt my tongue and coated my mouth with grease, and tasted great. For a further trip down memory lane I ordered a butterscotch milk shake, which to this day is the best shake this side of the Willamette. * Humdinger takes the west side prize* So hop in your Subaru, you rad Californians you, and head out to Gresham for a really good In and Out.

this place is a little different.from the long burgers to the way they switch up from breakfast to lunch, having waitresses for breakfast and counter odering for lunch. breafast features decent cakes,biscuits and gravy,ect. nothing fancy and lunch is the same good tasting slightly greasy burgers, fries ,chicken strips ect. they make some tasty milk shakes as well. Dea's is slightly higher in cost than fast food but soo much better and we eat here for slightly less than corporate chains in the area. we go here about once a week latley cause for gresham this is one of the best eats for the money.

Deas is a veritable Gresham instution. The food is hot, a little greasy and service is quick. It is unique that it is sit down breakfast with waitresses in the morning and then flips to order/pick up at the counter for lunch and dinner. I mainly eat breakfast at Deas. The prices are reasonable and the food is adaquate. I am telling you now, don't go in expecting gourment omelettes and fancy home fries. It is the place you want to go when you need to get some food to start your day, not impress you friends. I think that is why I keep coming back. I know what I am going to get. Bacon and eggs is just that, no more no less. I think that there is a humble pride in a restaurant like Deas, give it a try.

My parent's first date happened to be at Dea's (although it was at a different location at the time). Growing up I actually went here quite a bit. I still go half a dozen or so times a year....the long burgers are a tasty staple, and my dad introduced me to deep friend mushrooms, om nom nom. Their shakes are great and if you're bored they have Keno :) This place is a nice alternative to fast food and is definitely worth checking out.

Dea's is a Gresham institution. The burger's are pretty classic... nothing fancy or unsual, but better than fast food quality. Same with the fries. The breakfast is fine, too. If it were between Dea's and Denny's, I'd go to Dea's. If Central Cafe or Jazzy Bagels is an option, I think you have to choose one of those, honestly. Just about the only thing that is really great about Dea's is their shakes and malts. If you're not interested in frozen sugary sweetness, I might consider other options.

Deas had thier name long before the crummy fast food chain in California. The burger meat at Deas is delivered fresh, it's never frozen. Mostly populated by old people (at least for breakfast), Dea's is nonetheless a great place to take a break from life. I've never had lunch there, because I doubt it's anything special (just burgers and other fried fare), but I'm crazy about breakfast. I always get a pancake and hash browns with gravy -- and one waitress knows this! There are four syrups, including blackberry, which I love. The pancake doesn't stay warm very long, but oh well. I love the hash browns and gravy; they're my dream. Perhaps the best thing about Dea's, though, is that they have FLAVORED CREAMER. French vanilla and irish creme. Pick your poison. I love it.

Dea's has been one of my family's favorites since before I was born. But today I went through the drive thru and what i saw shocked me. I want to say first off, the person that helped me had a lovely personality but very, very big issue with hygiene. The shirt she was wearing was a cream color but around the bust and armpits it was BLACK from dirt and grime and grease. The apron was not any better. Honestly, both articles of clothing looked like they had not been washed in years. I was shocked that management or ownership has assumingly seen the employee wear this and did not immediately ask her to change or give her a clean shirt or apron. It was honestly so bad it made me question whether my food had been prepared in a sanitary manner and made me completely lose my appetite. I did not come here to bad mouth the family/company or turn anyone away from Dea's. However, I would like management to take note and make a change. Hygiene and sanitation are EXTREMELY important in the food industry. Please, please do something about what I witnessed today, I want to be able to continue to enjoy Dea's for years to come.

30 years of happy Dea's memories gone in one visit. I get it's a nice little family owned place but the last several months Dea's has really gone down hill. After not understanding 6 times repeating "with lettuce, tomato and onion" I was forced to get out of the car from the drive-thru and to go inside to order. Fine, then my order will be correct, fat chance. So I approach the counter and say "I'd like a bacon cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato and onion" I kid you not, the guy looked me dead in the face and said "what?" I had to repeat every part of my order multiple times. I made the mistake or saying vanilla Dr Pepper instead of vanilla Mr Pibb and the guy froze in his tracks and just stared at me for a minute, after correcting my mistake and asking if I wanted the alternate, I replied yes sorry, I meant vanilla Mr Pibb. The fiasco went on but my thumb is getting tired. :( I can't even talk about how they changed the buns for the worse. Careful if you use your Groupon, they'll screw it up and then act like it was your fault. And don't be surprised if there's no vanilla in your vanilla Mr Pibb. This was our last visit before moving out of state, now I have crappy memory instead of a good one.

Just another crappy place in the Portland/Gresham area, yelp reviews let us down. When I get chicken strips I like a nice crisp, even crunchy batter, this place just has the old standard frozen peppered crap chicken strips. The batter is as soft as the chicken. This place doesn't make anything fresh from what I seen from my order. The fries were limp, greasy, not fresh, frozen, tasteless piles of crap. Had to throw em out to the birds. They need to visit wing stop if they want to learn how to make fries. Where do I start with the cole slaw that came with the other order (fish n chips)...? I should have been weary that the guy said "do you want the coleslaw?" I said does it come with it? "Yes," the man replied, so I was thinking why did he just ask that? Opening it up I now understood. It looked like it was days old, it smelled like crap, had no crunch to it. I stabbed it with the fork a few times and it was such mush nothing stuck, it just further compacted it down in the container that had the nasty fate of holding that garbage in. The ranch was made in house....hahaha that's a joke! The ranch was prepackaged. It tasted like cheap crap, too. It's didn't even help out those bland fries mentioned earlier. The fish and chips were decent but nothing to write home about.

Went here with my fiance and brother in law. It has a very cafeteria feel. There really was no breakfast items and had coffee and a cheeseburger for breakfast. It was also a little pricey for what we got. The lady at the counter is what killed it for me. We ordered coffee and waited to get the rest and she seemed upset that we didnt get food.

Traditional old school American diner. I can see from other reviewers what not to order, but I can tell you that the Long burger w/cheese and their homemade potato salad is worth ordering. And I am a potato salad snob (I HATE REESERS!!!)They have been making their signature long burger since I was a child. We would go roller skating at the old wooden rink on Powell, then go across the street to the old location for Long burgers. I also had a very good steak, eggs & hash browns breakfast there. The steak was not skimpy and/or tough like most, eggs were perfectly cooked (over med.), and golden crispy hash brown potatoes just the way I like them. I hate the big pile of white, then over browned on top shreds you get from restaurants not using enough oil or butter on the grill. LOL, sorry, foodies like delicious, not healthy. Just use moderation. Now after reading, I want to try the pancakes.

This place is fantastic. It has combined two of my favorite things: country cooking and cheap prices. You can have a massive breakfast here for about $7. They also serve lunch and dinner. Most people come here for their original hamburgers, but we are obsessed with their down home breakfast platters.

Oh Dea's. The hub destination for greasy goodness and diner-esqe quick meals in Gresham. Nothing fancy and a bit outdated. Word to the wise: Order the long burger. A rectangular shaped hamburger with some cheese and special sauce. It's pretty darn tasty. Nothing fancy. Pretty sure the fries are frozen. You won't really find anything homemade here but that's not the point. It's quick. It's cheap. And it's good. Milkshakes. Do yourself a favor and get one. They are thick and uber delicious. Chocolate and peanut butter, yes please! Dea's also does breakfast which I have not tried but am sure would be pretty decent. They have all your quint essential fried foods....the fish and chips are pretty good as well. The staff is friendly. Typically consists of high school kids working the counter. All in all a good stop for some alright quick eats in the area.

Dea's is probably my favorite place in Gresham to get a burger. The place is old and outdated, but the food is really good. BTW In N Out lovers, get grilled onions on a long cheeseburger and you basically have an animal burger. My partner and I generally order 2 stumpys (A long cheeseburger with a better bun, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and special sauce) with grilled onions (I think it comes with raw onions, if you don't ask for grilled), 1 order of curly fries, and a pink komona (it's like orange soda with cherry syrup, or something) to split. AMAZING! A couple years ago we were craving pie after we ate there, and they happen to make their pies in house, so we ordered pecan (it was that season) a la mode. Incredible! We make sure to order it at least once a year. Their shakes are good, too. Chocolate peanut butter is my favorite. Definitely check this place out!

I gave up a long time ago trying to find a substitute for In N Out Burger when I moved up here in 1996. Some things are not able to be duplicated. I have to say that I never talked myself into this place being a clone for the fabled franchise either. However I kept hearing that this place was a good and that it had a certain charm and history. Those things are unfortunately lost on me. After a rigorous afternoon of trying to fill up the Sandy River with rocks with the Wife and The Tax Deduction we decided to bop on over to Gresham and see what this place is all about. We set the GPS to Dea's and visions of tasty burgers danced in our heads. In the case of the Tax Deduction he had a vision of a hot dog. We found the place easily enough and pulled in. It looked kind of old school and seemed like it could be a find. We walked in and studied the menu in detail and decided on two long cheeseburgers, one double and one single, fries and the aforementioned hot dog. We took a booth and let the place grow on us. After a short wait they called our number and I went up to get our meal. We unwrapped our long cheeseburgers and took our first bite and waited for the flavors and the cheese and the inevitable nod of the head of a socially acceptable burger. And waited. And waited. And chewed some more. And.... it just never came. I bite deeper into the burger and it was a lot like the first. Now hear me out, it was not a bad burger but it was nothing special. I felt the meat lacked seasoning. Some celery salt would work wonders here, anything really, garlic, season salt, mesquite seasoning. I ate the burger, it filled me up but I couldn't work up a single emotion about the experience. Now the fries were crispy and good. However we paid fifty cents for two cups of "fry sauce". Note to Dea, thick thousand island dressing is not fry sauce. Mayo, ketchup, chili powder and a touch of salt is fry sauce. I think I could walk into a Cash & Carry and point out the tub of dressing they use. Very disappointing. The employees were very nice and friendly.

Dea's is usually the answer when thinking about a place to go for breakfast in Gresham. The staff is friendly, the prices are reasonable and the food is decent. I like to change my order around, mainly ordering french toast or the classic bacon and eggs. The best part about this place is they have flavored creamer for your coffee, which is something I wish that every restaurant had. They also serve lunch and dinner with their long hamburger being my favorite on the menu. Dea's is definitely a favorite place to go when it comes to breakfast.

Dea's In & Out is NOT the place to eat breakfast. It seems like the people that eat breakfast at Dea's has been going to Dea's for 25 years and will til either Dea's or they die. If you go to breakfast at Dea's your taking one of regulars tables, and it's not worth the wait for a table and they regulars don't have the time left to wait. What you can get at Dea's is an American style/Drive in Lunch. Burgers, fries and shakes. Don't expect anything special or quality ingredients. The overall the quality of Dea's is medium-low food service quality. Dea's may have been good at one point but they have been coasting along for sometime now.

This place has been around forever. The long burger is kind of famous, and although their lunches are decent for a local diner type establishment, to me, this is a breakfast place. Good prices, good food and selections, really nice staff. They also have 1/2 portions which a lot of places don't, and they are flexible with your order. My grandpa lives by this place. We come here for every father's day, every Grandpa birthday, any sunday breakfast, it's always Dea's. And why not? It's got pretty much everything a little diner should, and a few options you don't see very often. I usually get him gift cards for here on special occasions. The ham steak breakfast is awesome, good omelets, just good breakfast, they do it right. And I think the regular breakfast is like $5.50 and comes with coffee. Go Gramps!

Growing up, I would have easily given Dea's 5 stars! This place is featured in some of my earliest childhood memories. Anytime we went to Gresham, we had to go to Dea's. **This review is just for the ice cream/shakes, not food.** The boyfriend and I popped in here for a sweet treat after a Mexican dinner across the street. He had known about it and had been there before, while I had not. He got a banana shake and I, a swirl cone. God bless the swirl cone for indecisive people, such as myself. Banana shake was good too. I'm not too adventurous when it comes to ice cream/shakes, so banana was pretty wild for me, but it tasted good. Like a Laffy Taffy. I would like to try their food next time and review that as well.

Growing up in East County Dea's was a constant in my life. My friends had their first jobs here. My first babysitting gig was for a neighbor who was a breakfast waitress here, and back in the day you got a coke glass to take home with every soda ordered. My mother the soda junky would break my heart when she wouldn't let me take my free glass home, as there just wasn't room in our cupboard for even one more. This summer when I was in California, eating my first In & Out burger I kept referencing Dea's. In my humble opinion the Cali In & Out has absolutely nothing on Dea's in good ole Gresham, except maybe clean sparkling white tables and servers who look crisp and smart. Dea's fries are better too. I'll break down the " long burger" for you. A long *6inches or so* buttery bun, which is toasted on the grill before being slathered with a special * mayo, catsup and relish* sauce. Then they lovingly pile on the grilled onions and cheese and Wah Lah! Delicious. After 27 years of Dea's eating my trip last week did not disappoint. Everything, down to the teal carpet is exactly the same as I remembered. The burger was tasty and grilled to order, the deep fried mushrooms sufficiently burnt my tongue and coated my mouth with grease, and tasted great. For a further trip down memory lane I ordered a butterscotch milk shake, which to this day is the best shake this side of the Willamette. * Humdinger takes the west side prize* So hop in your Subaru, you rad Californians you, and head out to Gresham for a really good In and Out.

this place is a little different.from the long burgers to the way they switch up from breakfast to lunch, having waitresses for breakfast and counter odering for lunch. breafast features decent cakes,biscuits and gravy,ect. nothing fancy and lunch is the same good tasting slightly greasy burgers, fries ,chicken strips ect. they make some tasty milk shakes as well. Dea's is slightly higher in cost than fast food but soo much better and we eat here for slightly less than corporate chains in the area. we go here about once a week latley cause for gresham this is one of the best eats for the money.

Deas is a veritable Gresham instution. The food is hot, a little greasy and service is quick. It is unique that it is sit down breakfast with waitresses in the morning and then flips to order/pick up at the counter for lunch and dinner. I mainly eat breakfast at Deas. The prices are reasonable and the food is adaquate. I am telling you now, don't go in expecting gourment omelettes and fancy home fries. It is the place you want to go when you need to get some food to start your day, not impress you friends. I think that is why I keep coming back. I know what I am going to get. Bacon and eggs is just that, no more no less. I think that there is a humble pride in a restaurant like Deas, give it a try.

My parent's first date happened to be at Dea's (although it was at a different location at the time). Growing up I actually went here quite a bit. I still go half a dozen or so times a year....the long burgers are a tasty staple, and my dad introduced me to deep friend mushrooms, om nom nom. Their shakes are great and if you're bored they have Keno :) This place is a nice alternative to fast food and is definitely worth checking out.

Dea's is a Gresham institution. The burger's are pretty classic... nothing fancy or unsual, but better than fast food quality. Same with the fries. The breakfast is fine, too. If it were between Dea's and Denny's, I'd go to Dea's. If Central Cafe or Jazzy Bagels is an option, I think you have to choose one of those, honestly. Just about the only thing that is really great about Dea's is their shakes and malts. If you're not interested in frozen sugary sweetness, I might consider other options.

Deas had thier name long before the crummy fast food chain in California. The burger meat at Deas is delivered fresh, it's never frozen. I assure you that the fry sauce is homemade, it is not premade off the shelf. If you long so much for a restaurant in California, I think you know the solution.

Mostly populated by old people (at least for breakfast), Dea's is nonetheless a great place to take a break from life. I've never had lunch there, because I doubt it's anything special (just burgers and other fried fare), but I'm crazy about breakfast. I always get a pancake and hash browns with gravy -- and one waitress knows this! There are four syrups, including blackberry, which I love. The pancake doesn't stay warm very long, but oh well. I love the hash browns and gravy; they're my dream. Perhaps the best thing about Dea's, though, is that they have FLAVORED CREAMER. French vanilla and irish creme. Pick your poison. I love it.
