Great egg scramble and awesome service. Friendly and fun. They provide great food at a good price and aim to provide good service. If you're in the area, definitely go here for your breakfast needs. Or lunch.
They deserve a rave for the sweet small town service. It was kind of ironic that we were seeking something different before a big turkey dinner on Thanksgiving and ended up at a place that specializes in (you guessed it) turkey. All of their t-shirts say, "Lets Talk Turkey" and they proudly state they roast their turkeys on-site. This is a coffee house and cafe that serves breakfast all day long. They have biscuits and gravy and breakfast sandwiches in addition to bakery items. The majority of sandwiches include turkey. When delivering a breakfast sandwich to a nearby table, the server said, "Take that, McDonalds!" which made all of us smile. They have the normal coffee offerings and use beans from Bridgetown Coffee Roasters in Portland ( bridgetowncoffeeexpress.… ). Truth be told, not my favorite coffee. On the positive side, all of our food was good. We had sandwiches (meatloaf and veggie) and a bowl of soup (turkey noodle). All were fresh and the sides (macaroni and potato salad) were fine. A small dining area with about four tables and a small amount of local travel guides and games on a back table to entertain yourself while taking a break from the road. They were open on Thanksgiving and serving a turkey dinner in the cafe or packaged to-go that included a slice of pie. Would definitely return when passing through town and craving turkey.
Best egg scramble we have had and the coffee had us draining our cups asking for more (not that we had to ask because the ladies kept them filled). The place is small but not noticeably so when you sit down. When we went the atmosphere was energetic and pleasant with nothing but laughter, bantering, and story telling. Highly recommend if you want a cozy place to eat delicious food!

This place is great. If you're in garibaldi for some reason (groupon) you should definitely come here! Bartender Jordan was super humble when I ordered a cocktail he didn't know how to make; he simply asked for help in making it, and then gave me a discount for increasing his mixologist credentials. The owner Becky was straight out of waltons. Super nice and great to chat with. A boisterous local asked for Crown on the rocks, but Becky realized she was out. What does she do? RUNS ACROSS THE STREET, MID SHIFT AND BUYS A BOTTLE OF CROWN!! Unprecedented :) Overall super friendly and welcoming. Don't be in a rush though...take your time to enjoy Garibaldi's Hook, Line, and Sinker!!
Just passing through Garibaldi, OR. for the night and had dinner at Hook, Line and Sinker. Super great service. Nice ambiance. Friendly staff. But the broasted chicken was the best I have had in a very long time. You won't be disappointed! The teriyaki burger and sweet potato fries were top notch. Suggest a must stop if you are hungry and passing through Garibaldi on your coastal journey.
Really good basic pub food. Service is good. Food is a tiny bit slow, but worth the wait. I enjoyed the mushroom Swiss burger and my wife liked her blt. Yummy fries. Small town pub feel but family friendly.

Came to the area for a beach trip, and we were steered to this place. The building says "best fish and chips" and it's located right on the water. However, this was the worst fish and chips I've ever had. I'm usually not picky when it comes to seafood, but this tasted like fish sticks from a freezer. The fish had no flavor, and the breading was awful. I took two bites of one piece and was done. I was really disappointed.
Tried numerous times but they were closed. Finally connected and tried their famous fish and chips with another couple. Food was hot, OK....distracted by the fact we kept sticking to the table. Dread what the kitchen looks like.
I guess when they say "chips" they mean chips, as in a bag of Lays. To-go charge to sit at their own outside tables. Most seafood not even local. Save yourself and go to the Dairy Queen across the street. It's exactly the same.

They have some I love DQ they always have good food and great frozen treats. The most fun is when they come out with signature blizzards! Lemon meringue pie-S'mores some of the best flavors I could ever think of. Also it seems to me that a lot of the DQs are going through a change? New uniforms, a little extra service when ordering, I have always liked this place even in times of low. I will still be coming here.
Nine words: Georgia Mud Fudge Blizzard made with chocolate soft serve. I guess it's ten words, if you want to be polite and add, "please." That is all. (Yes, I'm a creature of habit.)
A dive Dairy Queen, but aren't they all? So my party was at the cheese factory in Tillamook -- and we were hungry...and since I know that the best food Tillamook had to offer was the new Dennys, I said, "hey, why not see what is up the road in Garibaldi. Needless to say, we ended up here. It was a mom and pop operation for sure. When we ordered, some young female took our order...and when we asked a question, and she didn't know, she yelled, "mom -- come over here!" -- so yeah...family run. Their service was pretty slow, but the food was hot and as fresh as a Dairy Queen could be.

My husband and I both had the Fish & Chips lunch. The halibut was excellent - lightly breaded, very crispy and not greasy at all. Was it breaded in-house? No idea, but regardless, it was excellent. The slaw was wonderful - not heavy on the mayo. Service friendly and fast. We would definitely come here again for Fish & Chips.
My husband and I like to come here for breakfast. Its not full of healthy options but more that I'm feeling bad and want fresh baked biscuits smothered in home made sausage gravy kind of place. It could use an update the furnishings have a neglected air but its always clean and the staff are friendly.
It's sad to me to have a sea-themed restaurant sitting on the wharf with hundreds of working fishing boats nearby, in a 150-year-old fishing town, not have a SINGLE FRESH FISH DISH on the menu! Not one!! I even asked if they could take any of their cuts of fish and grill or bake it instead of frying - nope! It all comes in pre-breaded, which suggests it's fully processed "factory food" long removed from any fishing boat. So if you love "all you can eat fish and chips" that seems to be their specialty - deep fried foods, plus big greasy burgers and greasy fries - that's what the Troller is all about, not what the name troller would suggest - fresh fish! I opted for one of the relatively few things that wasn't either a burger or deep fried - the grilled chicken caesar salad for a rather steep $14 - Blah iceberg lettuce, with below-average grilled chicken, and of course since it's a frying place, was accompanied by fried croutons and deeply buttered slices of toast. Fortunately I asked for the dressing on the side - thick and gravy-like, and almost a full cup of it. It was a very dense high-fat high-calorie dressing and not very good to begin with. I used it sparingly and left most of it behind. The whole place seems tired and old and dirty. Stained sticky menus and furniture, dirty restroom, and overall worn out interior, infused with decades of deep fry oil mist in the air and before the ban, decades of cigarette ooze that never really went away. In many ways it seems a restaurant that's just given up trying and now caters to the lowest common palate - burgers and fried stuff. The service however was just wonderful - very nice people - very friendly and talkative and attentive. And I'm quite sure if you're into the foods they're good at, the place is just fine. I was just sad that sitting in such a picturesque place that there weren't a dozen fresh dishes of salmon, cod, and halibut flame grilled to perfection, with freshly caught salmon and other bounty of the ocean brought in just that morning on the thousand little white trawlers sitting only 75 feet away... oh, what this place could be if they just tried a little harder and had a chef and owner who cared.
