Stopped here for lunch on a pass through town based on Yelp reviews. The place does want to be more of a tea room than a restaurant and the decor reflects that, so much so that when I walked in I thought it must have recently changed hands and the window signage had not been updated. To be clear, the food items referenced on their windows reflect their non-tea selections. Several people were having tea and it looked lovely. I ordered the salmon bisque, quiche of the day (smoked salmon & dill, purportedly), and rhubarb crumble with strawberry lemon iced tea in homage to their tea room status. The bisque was amazing. In fairness, it is more of a chowder than a bisque... Or a bisque with tiny pieces of salmon and flecks of dill. The flavor and texture were outstanding so it doesn't matter, really. If you go, get it. You won't be sorry. The tea appeared to have been made with fresh strawberry purée and it was also very good. The quiche was very small (more high tea than lunch-sized) and not flavorful. Bland, really. However, the crust was very well done which gave me hope for their other pastries. Alas, hopes were dashed as the rhubarb crumble was served, obviously heated in the microwave with a soggy topping that made me think of oatmeal and, again, really bland flavor. The pasty appears to be the house specialty based on commentary I overheard from the male owner to the table next to me. On that topic, service from the women in the restaurant was excellent. The man is going for being doting, I think, but just comes off as creepy. Based on what I saw around me, I would probably try high tea at this place and I'm guessing they may excel in that.

Liam and Judith are two wonderful people running a wonderful restaurant. The teas are, of course, amazing. They have a large selection of teas as well as other beverages to choose from. For lunch, you can grab my favorite, the Royal Tea, and customize the courses to your liking. If you're looking for something a little bit more filling, they also have delicious soups, salads, and other specialty items, like Judith's Sausage Rolls. If you're looking for a cute place for a date or just want to feel fancy, go to Lovejoy's Tea Room. You won't be disappointed!

I really liked the atmosphere of this place. We had a nice table by the window and the tablecloths were lovely. Our favorite order today was the stuffed cod with mashed potatoes and salad. Dressing choices were lemon-poppy seed, raspberry vinaigrette, and three others I can't remember but I do remember they all sounded good!! I had crab cakes that were okay, with wild rice that I did add a bit of salt to.The salmon bisque was very tasty and had a lot of dill, which I like. For dessert we chose the ginger, pumpkin trifle. I was disappointed in it because I could not taste ginger in it, but it was still good. There were many tea choices and the coffee was good. Several options for high tea were also available. The service was a bit slow, but the place was full and I don't think they were expecting that, so I will go back.

We just moved back to the states from a two year stay in Europe. This tea room brought back so many memories from our travels abroad. As soon as we walked in we felt as though we were in an actual tea room in England! There were lovely tea pots, China dishes and beautiful white linens just like you would see in Europe. The food and presentation was amazing! We even got to sample the soups before ordering since we were first time visitors. My favorite part of our dining experience was eating the blueberry lemon curd for dessert. It was to die for! If you want enjoy an authentic English tea this is the place for you!

We were drawn to Lovejoy's because my maiden name is the same...it was a happy surprise! We told the host that my name was Lovejoy and he delighted us in telling us the history of Lovejoy's tea room. He was very kind & funny. As for the food: My hubby was wanting clam chowder and he was not disappointed! Delicious. I had the Salmon Bisque and it was absolutely wonderful. Then we shared the shrimp salad with lemon poppy seed dressing and it was outstanding. For dessert we were thrilled with the chocolate cheesecake with raspberries. We left very happy! We'll be back to visit these lovely hosts & tasty food!

Walked into this place by chance. It's a cute little place inside lots of tea pots all over the walls. They have signs on the windows raving about their crab cakes and chowder so my fiance and I decided to try them.... Clam chowder is like soup... No clams and lots of small chunks of potatoes. No flavor and wasn't hot. Crab cakes... Disgusting... They tasted like they were frozen - heated up in the microwave - then hit in some semi-hot oil to give them somewhat of a crunch. I don't know about the tea we didn't try it. After leaving we had a constant queezy feeling for the rest of the day and later on had the joy of being sick. I wouldn't recommend this place if you are hungry...

This was our first visit....on the recommendation of our soon to be daughter in law. We loved it. It was a little taste of England. Beautifully decorated. The hosts Liam and Judith were a delight....great sense of humor. The food was very good. The have some classic English fare. Cornish pasties, sausage rolls. The soups were outstanding especially the salmon bisque. The prices might seem a little high but well worth it when you consider where else can you get that type of atmosphere. I recommend it for those nostalgic for a bit of England or those who would like to be :)

Simply...marvelous. The proprietors, Liam and Judith, are wonderful and, if they aren't too busy, love to visit. We had the Royal Tea which included two pots of tea, two tea sandwiches per person (we had the smoked salmon and dill, smoked turkey and dijon, mandarin Orange and creme cheese, and pear, walnut blue cheese - which seemed to be missing the blue cheese - tea sandwiches), all of which were good. The biscuit-scone was also wonderful, followed by two petit-fours per person. All for $27. We'll certainly be back!

Wonderful family run restaurant. All food cooked fresh on site and owner Judith is a British transplant, making Lovejoy's the most authentic Tea Room in Oregon. Comfortable, relaxing setting and handicapped accessible through the rear door.

I hope I'm reviewing the same place. I hope that Lovejoy's at the Pier Point is the same place is Lovejoy Tearoom. I'm assuming it is because the first reviewer raved about the salmon bisque. Which is what I plan on doing as well. Here I go...the salmon bisque is very very tasty as well as the crab cakes I had. My boy had the tomato soup and trifle dessert and loved it as well. One thing that I absolutely loved about this place was the cute coziness factor. It just screams family run restaurant where the owner is in the back cooking your meal for you. I mean, how could you not love a place that had tea cozies for your tea?

A fun and delicious experience! Imagine champagne or Guiness in a tea room, nice touch. Made all the sweet stuff better. Sandwiches were excellent, just like England.
